(SCREENSHOT FROM THE OFFICIAL DOP DISCORD SERVER, DM FOR INVITE SINCE I DON'T WANT THE LINK RUNNING AROUND PUBLICLY) update one: me and tycho ( https://i-see-only-wonders.tumblr.com/ ) are releasing what is pretty much a sister comic for downfall of pandoris!! as they said, the name is still tba but it's already in development! they both take place in the same universe and even tie together in spots... so look out for that!!

update two: in addition to the new comic, i've been having a lot of stuff going on irl n whatever and i haven't been able to update dop as much, but i'm hoping that will change soon! if anything, there's going to be more filler content and general fun facts about lore n' the universe n' stuff. so yeah! just sayin' that real updates aren't going to be as consistent and there's gonna be a boatload of filler content. we actually have a tag for the filler and the actual comic in case you want to see one or the other!

downfall of pandoris (announcement post)

downfall of pandoris is a project that i'm trying to find the motivation to start as of jan 2022 !! the first page should be up by the end of the month. <3 my plans are for it to become a webcomic that focuses on pandoris, a large city inhabited with robots, object heads, aliens and who knows what else. large, colorful and high-tech, pandoris is filled with attractions, from small cafes to huge rollercoasters with hovering roller coaster cars. while all of this sounds wonderful, there are... flaws.

one of these flaws is money-hungry companies. businesses starving for power. from something as small as a 'community care center' claiming they promote positive self-image to a multi-million dollar company distributing sentient robots for cash, they want money. they want power. and they will stop at nothing to get it, no matter how immoral and wrong. everything is corrupted, everyone has gone mad with power. frankly, pandoris is now just a shell of what it used to be.

all from different walks of life, all with different stories, victims of these corrupt systems band together to fight against 'the greater evil', if you will; in hopes of finally ridding pandoris of these money-hungry corporations who just want to drain peoples' wallets. starting protests, partaking in riots, choosing violence. it may be unsafe, but... it is a risk they are willing to take to help the future residents of pandoris.

This is the Therapy Robot Rhyme AU.

So when the Toy Factory Scientists/Workers are finished with everything the need Rhyme for, they decide to tell Lightman as they are still somewhat working with him on account of the deal the two business have.

Lightman has been aware of Rhyme's existence for a while now and while he didn't care what would happen to the robot at first, he has a renewed interest in him now.

This is because Lightman has gotten a few complaints about his Therapy Bots. While they are good at their jobs, some of the patients are intimated by how tall they are. The Therapy Bots tower over most patients and while the bots are relatively cute, some people just don't like that their heads are basically computers monitors.

Rhyme however, Lightman realizes, is smaller than most people and, when he’s not wearing his charging hat, kind of looks like a cute little rabbit. And with a little... reworking to his programming, Rhyme would be the perfect solution to Lightman's problem.

Lightman tells this to the owners of the factory and with a little persuasion (and a little bit of money) is able to convince them to give him Rhyme for the There’s House.

After all, it would be a shame to just decommission a perfectly good robot wouldn't?

So with Rhyme now in his possession, Lightman hires some skilled coders to do a little reworking to Rhyme's memories and programming.

At just like that "Rhyme" no longer exists.

"Rhyme" never did exist.

Now there is only Fig.

There has only ever been Fig.

And Fig is a good little Therapy Robot.

Fig is a one of a kind Therapy Bot prototype. He was made in an attempt to make Therapy Robots smaller and cuter.

And if Fig does well there might be more robots like him soon! That's what Mr. Lightman said, after all. Mr. Lightman won't lie to him, right?

Lightman introduces Fig to the Therapy Bots of room 444 and tells him that he will be working/rooming with them for now. He also tells Fig that he should listen and apprentice under Macintosh as they are one of the best Therapy Bots that work here.

Macintosh, of course, is happy to help Fig! It's been so long since they've meet a new Therapy Bot! And wow! A new prototype? That's even better. Mac and Fig are on their way to becoming good friends!

It's not like anything bad is going to happen, like the Therapy House being shut down, right? ...Right?

au where pastry cookie looks VERY VERY similar to saint pastry, to the point where she is viewed as the ACTUAL saint to a certain point (or at least a reincarnation/vessel) by some (mostly reverend mother). at some point pastry herself starts to believe that she isnt herself anymore and starts to lose her sense of self. it also explains why she was renamed after the saint pastry in the first place
