So what is this crowbar supposed to be made of, that he can hold it without burning his hands? Aluminum? :D

Not sure how the things that the dead boys own work in Dead Boy Detectives. I mean the contents of their magic bag, the bag itself, etc. Are they physical objects? Are they ghostly? If they're physical, does it look like things are floating around when they handle them? If they're ghostly, how? How does a thing becomes a ghost of a thing?

If I ask nicely will people reblog this and tell me what their most common breakfast is? Not your favorite necessarily, just what you have for breakfast most frequently? 🙏🏽

Two kinds of people who are only vaguely aware of Neil Gaiman: those who think he's a long dead classic and those who think he's a millenial.
You're 63??? I thought for sure you were in your thirties!
I've been writing professionally since 1982ish.

I hope Rayner buys Reno that Vesper martini he owes her from the alt timeline. And probably make her go "sir, you know I'm a lesbian, right?" xD. But then they bond over being salty bitches. Reno can teach him how to be a better functioning salty bitch that isn't disliked by everyone.

Can't handle the suspension of disbelief required to ignore how completely comfortable and well Lucy seems to be after being stabbed in the guts. Like, I had IBS worse than that :D. How?? I get that the drugs she injected herself with must be some good futuristic shit, but they don't seem advanced enough to have anything to actually patch up a perforated guts, so how isn't the contents of the intestines spilling all over her abdominal cavity???

Good Omens 2 survivors when they see Neil Gaiman describe a show as romantic:
Tumblr media
Gosh, I hope no one's asked this already but...
After watching The Sandman together, my husband and I are looking forward to watching Dead Boy Detectives. I've just watched the trailer and while I'm excited at the prospect of snuggling up with hubby to enjoy more of your creative genius, I'm really nervous that this show will be too much for me. While I can manage blood spurting and can even appreciate the occasional jump scare, the horror aspect is making me more than a little nervous.
Which leads me to ask...
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "Hey, let's pop some popcorn and gather the kids around the television," and 10 being "Watch in broad daylight with every curtain in your house open and every light in the house on or you'll never sleep again," how would you gauge the show and its episodes as a whole, horror-wise?
Yes, I apologize for being a wimp, (I blame my big sister for intentional exposure to "The Shining" as a 5-year old.) but I'm pretty certain you've answered a question like this kindly in the past, and I'd be most grateful.
Regardless, even if you only read this in passing and don't answer, please know that even though I'm just finding the time to get to know your work now, I have been fan of you as a human being for a long time. Thank you for all you contribute to the human race, Mr. Gaiman. There aren't enough kind people in the world.
Honestly, I'd say mostly it doesn't get scarier than a 4. It's not a horror series. It's very funny, very sweet, romantic and loving and human, sometimes painful and always weird.

Yeah, I gave one guy developing a service this feedback a couple of days ago, because he had a video tutorial, but no tutorial page. He agreed I have a point :).
Same goes for audio. I hate when people send voice messages. It wastes my time not only in that I'd read much faster, but also because people tend to ramble more when speaking than when writing. There's this acquaintance on Messenger who always sends voice messages instead of writing, and I kind of hate him for that reason alone :D.
In addition, if you send something with audio to me while I'm at work or with people, chances are I will never listen to it, because I won't play audio in someone's presence, and by the time I'm alone I will have forgotten that I got the message.
I am slowly losing my mind over the shift towards video as the default media format.
I do not find this to be an efficient way to absorb information. I am bored and distracted by the time the largely unnecessary introduction is over. I can't use ctrl+f to find the specific information I'm looking for. If there are instructions to follow, I don't want to have to constantly pause and back up to the part I need.
At least give me a fucking transcript.

Considering the last season of GO, asking if it's an accurate representation of Neil's and Pratchett's relationship has interesting implications...
Tumblr media
Hello Mr. Gaiman! I remember reading somewhere that Crowley and Aziraphale were based off of you and Mr. Prachett(and about him wearing white to purposefully look like the "good" one of the bunch lol) but I do want to ask.
Do you think Aziraphale and Crowley accurately portray your relationship and banter with Mr. Prachett/was it a conscious decision to make them parallels of yourselves, or was it just a happy accident that you noticed later down the line as someone pointed it out?
Thank you!! I hope you have a great day^^
No, Aziraphale is nothing like Terry, and Crowley is only like me when I was writing it (aged about 28) because he wore sunglasses even indoors.
