"I'm Sorry" Annie x Male reader

Characters: Annie, Eren, Armin and Mikasa

All you could feel is your heart beating at a rapid rate, that you were sure a normal persons heart could beat. Annie? Your Annie? They have it wrong.

"(M/n)?" A voice snapped you out of your racing thoughts. Eren looked at you concerned "you okay"

You turned to Armin "you have to be joking?" Armin looked away knowing your relationship with Annie. "Annie? The one we trained with? The one that I love?"

Armin and the other two sat there silently until Eren spoke up "Did you see how the female Titian fought?"

"Ya but what does that have to do with-" your brain stalled as it thought. You trained with Annie the most out of anyone here, but also you knew her. You knew her soft side she hasn't shown anyone else. "Her fighting stance..." It all hit you at once. She was the female Titian.

"(M/n)" Armin started to reach over.

"Get out" The sudden coldness of the words startled the trio "Get out now"

When they left everything was quiet leaving you to your thoughts as they raced about the possibility.

--------Next day--------

Looking at the scene before you, you stalled, hoping it wasn't true but that light was all the proof you needed to know. Your heart kept denying it as the female Titian-, no Annie kicked the tunnel in.

Reminding yourself of what you had to do, you grabbed your hook ready to fire but you couldn't. You knew what you had to do once you did. Large shaking steps came towards you. Everything told you to run but you were grabbed by large hands.

Everything in you yelled at you to fight the large hands around you. But you felt oddly calmed by the warmth the hands gave you. Knowing she wouldn't dare hurt you on purpose, you looked out of her hands to find her trying to climb the wall to get away from Eren.

It flashed back to that one night you an Annie went stargazing both of you falling asleep on the cliff side. You having your arms wrapped around your lover as she watched the stars. Really you tried to stay awake for her but you couldn't sleep started to doze off. Feeling Annie shift in your arms to face you, rousing you from your attempt to sleep.

A hand brushed down your face, she only did that when you were asleep. " Ill take you with me once the day I promise. Then I'll explain everything until then... I'm sorry"

Then you were falling with a scream.

--------------------------4 Years later--------------------

"And thats how I felt that day" you looked up to that darn crystal that held Annie. "I don't think I can forgive you for the damage you caused me but I can't seen to let go either.

The rock you were playing with fell to the ground with a ping. "Maybe some day I can forgive you once your out of that crystal. If your not dead inside. I would be if I was stuck in there for four years" Sighing you stood up on ache legs. You once again looked at Annie held in time by that beautifully formed indestructible crystal.

"I'll see you later Annie" You knew in your heart you probably couldn't forgive how she betrayed your trust but you wanted to see her again. So you kept coming back, back, and back again hoping. Something told you, you'll be seeing her a lot but you ignored it pushing off to the side all you could do was hope that.

"Once Again"

Eren x Gn reader

Tw- death

             Water leaked from a pipe falling to the floor, about the only noise that echoed in that cage. But he couldn't hear it, he only stared at the wings of freedom on a green cloth. Running his fingers down the fabric he came into contact with a silver bracelet, the one you wore none stop, the one he would kiss when he could. Rings of copper showed up on the bracelet from years of water and use. Eren rembered the last time he kissed that bracelet.

        "You be careful alright?"

     You looked over at him your eyebrows raised "You're telling me to be careful?" Snorting you looked ahead.

        Eren looked at you shocked "Escuse me?"

        You just kept walking a head "We both know if one of us is going to get hurt it's you"

          He was about to snap a comeback when Levi turned around and glared at you two. You both shut up until Eren whispered "Really be careful I know I can heal but you can't."

        Eren grabbed your left hand entwined your fingers. Looking down at your intertwined hand you answered "Only if you do too"

         You're (e/c) eyes meet his as Eren brought your hand up to his lips and kissed the silver bracelet around your wrist "I promise."

That was the last time he saw you alive. When he saw only Hange and not you next to them. His heart sank, where were you?

When he found you it felt like someone ripped his heart from his body as it became harder to breath.

         You laied there face twisted in horror your body torched from the heat of the blast. You laied in his arms, as he wished someone could take away this pain he was feeling. Even when it was time to go he refused to let go carrying your body with him all the way back. Mikasa and Armin had to forcibly hold him back as they took your body away.

      The sight after broke them. Eren dropped to his knees, his throat constricting as tears threatened to spill "Just let me be with them..."

     Armin was confused why he was saying that "Eren what do you mean?"

      The scream that came next shocked the both of them "Just fucken kill me I can't, I can't do it without them" Eren looked up at them both face red, tears spilling over "You two will do it right?"

      Quietly Mikasa asked the question they both dreaded. "What do you mean?"

       "You'll kill me right?" Eren eyes were with hope as he looked at both their faces. But it quickly faded. "Right?" Armin looked Way as Mikasa shook her head. Eren stared at them in dismay "WHAT DO YOU MEAN? YOU EXPECT ME TO LIVE WITHOUT THEM AND WITH THIS PAIN" Eren clutched at the fabric near his chest. " YOU HAVE TOO".

     He had to be locked up a couple of weeks for his own safety and others. Now sitting in that cell his long brown hair falling in front of his face, he was lucky you didn't have to see him like this.

     Eren always remembered you being there when he needed it the most your touch grounding him when he need it.

    "Eren!" Eren startled at the voice looked over only to find you running towards him.

  "Y/n!" You two collided as he wrapped his arms around you pulling you close.

     "You alright?" You tried pulling away but Eren just held you tighter.

     "I'm fine now that your here" He let you go as you snorted. Obviously offended. "What?!"

   

     You smirked and stared at him "didn't take you as a hopeless romantic."

      Eren rolled his eyes looking away "Yeah what ever."

     A laugh erupted out of you "I guess I could get used to it."

     Rolling his eyes Eren stuck his tongue right at you as you did the same.

     He missed those moments with you. Wishing you both grow old together and have the best possible life. He missed your smile, your come backs, your sharp thinking skills, and your laughter. Brining the silver bracelet up to his lips he kissed it one last final time. "I'll be with you soon love. In the meanwhile rest easily until we meet once again"

Today had been a shit day, you got back from a mission a day earlier than expected so you decided to visit your family. Probably worse choice you did that week. Mentions of your dead name was constant and so were you're dead pronouns.

    You layed in bed feeling like absolutely shit. Honestly you kind of wished you brought your lover along, they always knew how to cheer you up. Unfortunately you couldn't find them anywhere so you just swallowed in sadness and frustration on the bed, ignoring the stack of papers on the desk you had to finish.

     Nothing seemed to get you motivated to get up from the pit that was growing as you asked yourself why no one else would expect you. Why no one else would understand?

     The only comfort you had at that point keeping your head above the water was the pillow you clutched as tears stained the white cloth. Your breaths were quicker than usual as you tried to keep yourself strong.

     Suddenly the door bang open startling you. "(Y/N)! Guess what!" Sitting up you noticed the brunette walking towards the bed smiling.

      Putting on a fake smile you glanced towards them "what's up?"

       Hanges smile dropped as they looked at you. "Hey are you alright?"

       You gave Hange a smile "no I'm fine. What did you find?"

      Pulling a chair in front of you Hange sat down looking at you with a questionable stare. "I know your lying. What's wrong"

      "We don't need to talk about it"

   "(Y/N). It's clearly bothering you. What's wrong?"

        After that you broke down. Tears streamed down your face shocking Hange. "They don't understand and they wont listen! It's always (Dead name) that or (dead name) this! It hurts so bad!  Why can't they just love me like they used to!"

   Hange got up and sat on the bed pulling you to their chest "Breath honey. I need you to breath" They got you to calm down after a couple of minutes. "Now tell me what happened"

      You felt Hange but their chin on your shoulder as you explained how your family didn't get it. "They don't understand how much it hurts when they do that?"

        Stroking your hair Hange answered "I know you shouldn't have to deal with people like that, especially your family"

       "I don't know what to do Hange" The tears threatened to fall again.

      "Stop talking to them."

  

       "Huh?" You turned around to face them.

      "They don't deserve you if they won't respect you" You thought Hange was joking but looking at Their face you realized they were not.

        "But they are my family?" You were somewhat confused.

      Hange grabbed your face. "Family is something that you can make, blood just makes you related"

 

        You thought about it for a second "I mean I guess your right."

     They grabbed your face their brown eyes meeting yours. "Your are an amazing person that shouldn't have to deal with that." A small smile was brought to your face as Hange started kissing all over your face. " you're Hansome/Pretty and all over amazing."

       You felt the sadness and frustration just washed away "Thanks Hange"

       "You don't need to thank me." Hange bounced up "Now let's go somewhere"

       You followed after them "where you going?"

       They booped your nose. "You'll see" It was probably the best afternoon you had in a while just hanging out with your lover forgetting everything that didn't matter in those moments.

AU btw this came to mind after listing to was it ever really love. Coming September 9th by Natalie

   

      Most of your closest friends called you two a power couple, buy only if they knew the truth. You met Yimir fist day of collage.

At first it was fun jokingly flirting with each other through class. But suddenly it wasn't a joke, meeting up in a empty classrooms to make out.

      Between the time of that and dating Yimir, you caught feelings. You couldn't really fit the line between feelings and just loving having the attention. Everyone loved the power couple energy you gave off.

    Armin was very curious on how you two worked out. Armin, Eren, and Mikasa were there sense you were a kid. You practicely told them everything.

      All the problems started when Yimir introduced you to her friend Historia four months in. Lingering touches that would seem normal if you weren't paying attention. Whispering in each others ears, red cheeks soon followed after.

    For a while you convinced yourself you were seeing things. Yimir would never do such a thing...

      You kept questioning until you broke and decided to ask her yourself "Is there something between you and Historia?"

      The scratches against the paper stopped, turning in her chair  Yimir stared at you then let out a loud laugh "Oh, you got to be joking." Sighing Yimir rubbed her temple. "Look sweetie there is nothing going on between me at Historia."

    Stumbling out an "Oh. alright then" Feeling a burning sensation I'm your chest, you turned around facing back towards your paper.

     Hearing  a groan you glanced towards Yimir who was currently walking towards you. squatting right next you Yimir grabbed your chin and forced you too look at her. Taking a long breath Yimir stroked her hand in your hair. "Look sweetie, your the only one I have eyes for. You don't need to worry about Historia."

      Glancing at the floor you whispered "I know im sorry I doubted you."

      Yimir lifted your chin up again to meet her brown eyes with yours "Tell you what I will stop talking to Historia for a while, if that makes you feel better."

         Your heart fluttered but you felt bad for forcing her into this position. Slightly smiling you answered "If you are comfortable with that, sure".

            Kissing your forehead she dragged you to the bed to cuddle for a while.

         True to her word you didn't see Historia for a couple of weeks, but when she came back it seemed to get worse, at this point they didn't really try to hide it.

You hated that you still craved that validation to be loved by someone, even though watching them flirt with someone else left a burning sensation in your heart and throat.

              You first confided in Armin and Mikasa who begged you to get out of the situation "(y/n) you need to leave that situation it's not good for you."

            "I know Armin but I still love her" You looked at both of them desperately. "I just don't want to leave her"

         Mikasa took your hands in hers staring you straight in the face "You need to let her go or your going to end up hurting yourself even more."

           You at first took their words into consideration but finally made up your mind. Staying was the best option thinking that you'll hurt more if you if you left her.

      Eren tried to convince you to no avail "Comon (Y/n) you can't keep doing this to yourself. She clearly doesn't love you like she's says."

       Turning around to face him your voice echoing "Yes she does!" Your eyes started to swell up with tears. "she does." Your voice quieter then before.

       Eren tried going after you when you turned around and left but Mikasa held him back shaking her head. They all hated seeing you this way but at this point they knew they couldn't do anything to stop you.

       You Became Numb to the pain trying to enjoy every moment of affection you got from Yimir.

        You would usually find yourself at a Cafe looking at an empty chair across from you. Usually something to do with Historia needing help. While scrolling through your phone a man sat down across from you. Looking at him he looked decent. Handsome, stuble beard, with chopped blond hair he was handsome. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

     He looked at you curiously "I don't mind" You replied shrugging.

            You were going to go back to your phone when he asked "Umm what's your name?"

         "(Y/N)" Answering cousiouly. "You"

        He nodded "Reiner. Nice to meet you." He stretched his hand out. You shook hands after a moment hesitation from your.

         Deciding to go on with the conversation "what are you hear for today."

        Reiner looked up from his hot chocolate "looking for somewhere to go to in the morning." Taking one more sip of his drink he looked at you "What about you?"

       You shrugged "Same". You both stared at eachother until your faces broke out into a smile.

         Soon it became custom for you to leave   Yimir alone to hang out with Reiner. Every day you talked the more you felt at peace around him. Like he was home.

          Yimir caught onto the pattern soon enough and blocked you before you could leave "Are you cheating on me?"

        You snapped your gaze at her "Escuse me?"

         Yimir aggressively took a step toward you forcing to back up "You danm right heard me. Now answer the damn question."

 

         "No I'm not. Why would you even think that?"

            "Because" snarling at you " You've been hanging out with this 'Person'" raising to quote signs in the air "More than you have with me?" Yimir raised her arms in the air slightly startling you "Hell! We haven't had breakfast together in months!"

         You bit down a retort  the reason we haven't had breakfast together is because you want to hang out with Historia.  Choking it back you looked at her feet " I'll cancel the plans I had with my friend today."

          Yimir smiled rubbing your hair "Good job seems like a reasonable choice" She walked over to the couch "You coming?"

        You were having a decent day with Yimir until Historia showed up. Honestly you missed Reiner and his kind words and smiles towards you. Feeling yourself sink further into the pit you currled up on your bed and cried.

         Two weeks later on your seven month anniversary Yimir pushed you to go to a party you didn't really want to go too. Fortunately for you, you found that Eren, Mikasa and Armin would be there along with Reiner.

        You two only got to see each other twice a week if lucky. His engineering class never matched up with yours or Yimir held you back.

          Reiner was somewhat aware of your current situation in the relationship. He wanted you to get out of it and show how your supposed to be treated.

          The party was at full blast when you arrived it didn't take you long to find Armin and Mikasa. They held back Eren who was bickering with Jean. Yimir left you alone with a kiss on the cheek.

       Looking around you didn't to seem to notice Reiner Sneaking up on you. "Well I seem to have found you."

    Looking up your found Reiner standing  above you "Looks like you have" you smiled up at him. Turning around to face him you asked "How you feeling about the party?"

         He scanned the room "It's loud definitely."

       Laughing you nodded "isn't always though?"

        Sighing you looked around looking for you girlfriend. You smiled at Reiner "Im going to find out where my girlfriend is"

        A rage flashed across his face but a polite smile replaced it quickly. "I'll talk to you later then?"

        Smiling you walked past him brushing your hand against his. You felt eyes on your body and you knew who they exactly belong too. Soon enough you found your girlfriend wrapped around Historia.

       You've finally snapped.  Roughly grabbing Yimirs arm you tugged her along with you. She fought a little but realized it was you and let you lead her "where we going? The janitors closet? I didn't know you were that freaky?."

      You turned around and snapped "I'm done"

       Letting out a chuckle Yimir didn't realize you were serious "Escuse me?"

       "You fucken heard me." Your hands trembled as you mustered all the strength to talk "Me and you are done"

       "Like hell we are." Snarrling at you.

        You laughed a bit "You now have free time to hang around your bitch."

       Her eyes widen "Escuse me?" You walked past her slamming your shoulder into hers. Unfortunately for you she had one more retort something " you'll never find anyone like me."

         Laughing you looked back at her "True! But that's the whole point sweet heart and I can replace you with someone better." 

         You left Yimir in a daze as you found Reiner. You grabbed his wrist before he  could say something.

         "Where are we going?"

        "That's for me to know and you to found out." When you answered.  You led him to the back of the building pushing him against the wall.

         He was shocked as hell but loved every second of it. You looked at him right in his eyes with all the happy emotions.

  "Is there a reason why your kissing me?"

      You stared at him for a second "I did it. I broke up with her."

     A smile reached across his lips when he realized. He shook his head happily "so we can be together?"

      You smiled for the first time in a while "Not quite yet, I need the memories to be flooded away."

       Reiner nodded knowing exactly what you wanted. He smiled "Let's go back to my place" Your heart raced but for once you felt whole.
