Since my brain is determined to not let me actually work on this in proper fic form, I'm thinking about simply posting some of the scene snippets that I've written here on Tumblr.
I don't know if any of you would be interested in that but I'll probably do an edit run or two and see what happens.

There is a certain amount of disconnect between the Guard and the rest of the GAR.
On the surface there's the low level resentment about them having the "easy jobs" that have been circling, and the fact that they tend to "look down." On the other troopers.
Of course those two things are born on an inability to really talk about what's going on back on Coruscant, but there not the only difference.
By far the weirdest difference is that, while the guard does speak Mando'a when they're not on duty and not around the senate, they also seem to have randomly spawned new terms and phrases that make no sense to any GAR troopers that hear them.
Cody to this day still has no idea who Depur is but apparently having to talk to them is a point of intense annoyance.
The GAR also isn't entirely sure what Dukkra ba Dukkra means, but it must translate to something because the guards have a habit of saying it whenever a trooper dies or does something that will probably get them killed.
Rex is particularly confused by the fact that they've somehow picked up the 501st habit of using their generals name as a description for chaos. Except he's not sure what the Corries idea of a "Skywalker story" is or why it's somewhat of an inside joke, or who this Ekkreth is for that matter.
What the GAR does know, is that there's something weird going on with the Guard, and the more weird it gets the more curious the rest of The GAR seems to get.

Obi-wan, on temple shore leave: And what of young Anakin?
Mace, rubbing his temples with a sigh: Don't get me started..
Yoda: Spends much time in the Senate young Anakin does. Requested by the Chancellor the visits were.
Mace: we have tried to make them less common, but Anakin enjoys the visits and you know we can't stop them.
***Meanwhile***
Anakin: and then he was like 'it was nice seeing you Anakin, and remember, if you need anything just ask' he's so weird!
Lucky: I know, and everyone thinks he's so nice! He's got the nat borns completely fooled.
Anakin: he's got me fooled too, like, other me. Padme says that they're good friends, it's really weird.
'Sighter: if you don't like him why do you still visit him? You're pretty much a cadet can't you get the Jedi say you can't visit anymore?
Anakin: maybe... But I don't want anyone to get in trouble, masters get weird when you cross them. And I wanna know what he wants with me, maybe then I can convince other me that he's bad news.... And also if I stop visiting the Chancellor then I'll barely ever get to come over here, and I can't visit you guys, and I like it over here.

Tiny adorable thing.
The clones are prone to giving people nicknames based on various things, it's how half of them got their names after all.
So it was inevitable that the Corries would give Anakin one, outside of the default An'ika at least.
They float a few nicknames around, but in the end it's actually Thorn whose suggestion ends up sticking.
Senaar, or Senaar'ika, Or little Bird. Because he loves flying and ships.
And also because much like their habit of referring to Ani as their little Skywalker, it's secretly a reference to the stories that the boy introduced them too.

An average day in the Corrie guard Barracks.
Fox, exasperated: Trooper, what do you have there?
The Trooper, Who has tiny Anakin sitting on his shoulders: A Ration bar.
Ani, waving : Hi Commander Fox.

Of all the things I've had to do in this au, writing the illustrious Chancellor has been one of the hardest, which is annoying because I have so many ideas for his relationship with the Anakin's in this au.
Because Adult Anakin is much the same as canon. But little Anakin is... well he's definitely not.
At first he is, although personally I hc that he was a little confused at the beginning by what exactly the Chancellor wanted with him. (This is true for both, but Big Anakin unfortunately grew out of this.)
Then the whole Slave army thing comes out, and he hears one to meny comments from the Corrie commanders about how they view him. And then several of the shiney's half jokingly start referring to him as Depur and any chance of him endearing himself to Ani'ka is completely blown from the water.

One of my favorite things about this au is that I get to learn into Anakin's feral gremlin side.
This kid grew up on an outer rim planet, in a really dodgy situation. He's not going to be like the temple raised Jedi
Said Jedi have become more or less accustomed to Anakin's traditional brand of nonsense, but last time he was trying to make a good impression, so while he was definitely different, it was more or less somewhat manageable.
At first, this was also true for young Anakin.
Then he found out about the millions of people they bought and all bets were off, and they were dealing with a tiny feral 10 year old who had completely lost any and all respect for anyone who was ranked Knight or higher. And almost the entire Senate.
Suddenly Coruscant was just a more fancy tatooine and every lesson his Mum and the elders taught him was suddenly very relevant again.
No one in the temple knows what to do with Anakin's very abrupt attitude change. But suddenly he's sneaking around under the noses of the cresh masters, hoarding food and sometimes medical supplies that he got from somewhere that randomly vanishes whenever they try to discuss it with him. (They're mostly for his trooper buddies, but the Jedi don't know that.) and generally avoiding interacting with anyone with authority to the point where they would sometimes not see him for days on end.
And the council are being pinned in by Skywalker nonsense on both sides, because adult Anakin in reeking havoc on the battlefield, and Child Anakin is reprogrammed their bots to rebel against their original programs, refusing to listen to the elder Jedi because "they're not his master." and spending half his time in the Senate doing who knows what.

Random au thought.
So I briefly mentioned Ani's smuggling in an earlier post, and because I love it I've decided that I need to elaborate.
It starts when he discovers that the only thing that the Corries (and most of the GAR) have ever eaten is ration bars and weird nutrient supplements. He has feelings about this of course.
And those feelings result in him smuggling in a couple of pretty much any snack he can get his hands on during visits, something that increases when he discovers just how little food that they actually have.
Around the time he discovers that they also have some severe shortages in other areas as well, he ends up subtilty recruiting the handful of senators who are working to improve clone rights in the Republic into his plotting because. "Negotiations with the masters are a lost cause, trust me. if you really wanna help you have to find more subtle ways."
With their help they also manage to add extra medical supplies and sometime new equipment almost entirely under the table.
The Corries are all deeply confused as to how it is that a 10 year old pulled this off.
It actually wasn't that difficult, mostly because Senator Amidala is weak for Anakin's puppy eyes and she still feels guilty about what happened with his little outburst after he found out about the slave army.

ok this is definitely an interesting take on a fix it au.
where did you pull the idea from?
The short version? Fanfiction.
The longer version is... longer... but questions give me an excuse to answer stuff so strap in because this might be a long one.
It was mostly born from two places.
One, reading a few too many fanfics about the guard, and then getting attached to them.
Two, reading a few too many au's that dive in to Anakin's background. (A lot of which involve some of Fiallaril's Tatooine slave culture headcanons, which if you haven't ever seen you should go check out because they're amazing, credits to them for that particular aspect of this au)
And 3, a slowly building opinion that Anakin really should not have been as chill about the clone situation as he was.
Now, I'm not a huge au maker, my au's have a habit of being two fanfictions mashed together via alternate universe combination, and they rarely see the light of day.
But this one just popped into my head one day while I was reading Corrie fanfiction and I started making notes in a document and before I knew it I'd written the intro fic.
The main problem is that I have so many thoughts and things I want to do that I can't figure out how to write into a cohesive fanfic, so I'm just writing Snippets of character interactions and waiting for my brain to actually figure out how to put things together into something more substantial.

There are some things that all troopers know Nat born's will never understand.
All the troopers grew up in a world where perfection was the standard and anything less resulted in death. Where individuality was a crime and being anything more than just another number was a danger, Where saying the wrong thing in front of the wrong person could get you killed.
All troopers know this, but post Kamino the Guards have had it drilled into them all over again. If they want to survive In the Senate they have to fall back on the lessons they learned on Kamino.
The Corries know that there are some things that nat born's will never understand. Things that Nat born's shouldn't understand.
So no one in the guard quite knows how to feel about the strange fallout of the Shiney squad's Jetti Cadets apparent discovery of the Guards position on Courcant.
It starts small, the guard notices that the boy stops being weird about the fact that most of the Corries don't use their names, when asked, the boys. "It's because I know that you have them now." raises more questions than answers, because apparently the boy just figured out that they used their designation numbers around the Senate because their names were a secret on his own. He also seemed to get an unreasonable amount of joy from the fact that all the clones chose their own names.
If it has stopped there then it probably wouldn't be so weird, but it didn't. From sneaking in extra medical supplies and food, (actual food, not just ration bars) when he discovered that 'depur' was cutting their budget for stuff that they needed to function, to the way he seemed to intrinsically understand their need for secrecy, and their reasoning for it. "secrets keep us safe." Without anyone seemingly telling him.
They all agreed that they weren't gonna ask about how the boy had managed to rangle several senators around to the truth of the situation and his point of view with only a few words to one of them. A point of view that not only had them working on trooper sentient rights bills, but also had them aiding in his more under the table helping.
At first it was weird and confusing, both because this kid was a nat born, and because how did a Jetti Cadet develop this kind of understanding, he was a child. It took them a while to connect the dots, Even as the boy started unconsciously dropping hints.
At first it was that weird little nickname he had for the Senate and Senators, in a language that even the most nerdy of Corries didn't seem to understand. They weren't sure what a Depur was, but apparently it applied to the Senate and was probably not a good thing.
The next clue was the stories, because as Anakin spent more time with the guard, becoming more of a Vod'ika than a Jetti Commander and subsequently beginning to learn more and more about the secrets that they kept from the rest of the Senate.
As the boy learnt about the lighter side of the inner workings of the guard, and how to speak the clones particular brand of Mando'a, the guards began to learn stories about Ekkreth, Leia and Ar Amu, stories about secret plots and tricking the The infamous Depur in ways that resulted in the freedom of those he enslaved.
About secret Languages, Tzai, Jappor snippets and secret rituals. About the ways one could steal back some control from the Masters in ways that they would never even notice. About things that the boy claimed that all Slaves should know, lessons that would help keep them safe from their Masters. A term that by now the guards suspended was not referring to the kind the Jedi had.
By the time the boy causally mentioned that he and his mother had been enslaved prior to him being taken to the temple, the Guards already had a pretty decent picture of the situation.
The fact that the boy had been adopting them into his own culture right under their noses had been vastly more surprising. He'd been a little awkward when he'd admitted it. Saying that he knew that they were sort of Mando'ade, but they could be Amavikka too if they wanted.
And sure, maybe it was a little dark that part of the reason the boy spent so much time in the barracks was because it felt familiar, but also this kid cared about every single one of them, to the point where he apparently sees them as family.
Well it really was no wonder that it was agreed that the entire guard would do just about anything for their Ad'ika. Including possibly stopping said Ad'ika from doing the same for them. (Bloody Skywalkers)

Thorn: do I even want to know what's going on here?
Lucky, Fuse and 'Sighter, surrounded by half their armor and a bucket of paint.
Lucky: since you asked, probably not
Fuse: In fact, it would be best if you forgot you saw this.
Thorn: what are you three doing this time.
'Sighter: i believe it's called finding a loop hole Commander.
Thorn, rubbing the bridge of his nose: Shinies

Time travel is a weird thing, especially when it's done by the force.
Anakin was already a force anomaly with a crazy well of untapped power that gave him the ability to do shit that would be vastly beyond most Jedi.
Tiny Anakin is worse.
Not because he's any more powerful, in terms of raw potential he's on par with his older counterpart.
Even if he has almost zero official training
But he's also had his connection to the force amped way up. He can feel every little nudge and poke. Every warning and message.
All that talk of the force being cloudy and hard to read? Not for Ani, he wishes it would stop being so pushy and there all the time.
He's also become vastly more prone to visions, not pure see the future ones, but snippets and moments of stuff that has happened and stuff that will, or might be coming.
When something is going bad, he knows, when the force needs him to be somewhere, he knows. And if he causes trouble on the way, well, the Jedi are always saying to follow the will of the force right?

Ani and the Corries Moments.
Little Anakin's first meeting with Commander Fox, aka, when things get really chaotic.
This moment has been living rent free in my head pretty much since I thought up this idea.
It's probably only days after the Senate agrees to put in another order for troops, Fox is Stressed, Tired and done. And has a run in with a really obnoxious senator who has some less than nice things to say, including a few comments about how easily replaceable the guard is, and how they're republic property and how they can always buy more of them if the current ones aren't good enough.
Eventually the Senator Leaves, but then just when he thinks he's done, he's confronted by a few other Corries, who saw the whole thing.
And the Tiny Jedi who's wiggled his way into the hearts of several of his brothers.
Said Tiny Jedi apparently heard the entire conversation and apparently has decided that he needs more information, and upon hearing confirmation that, yes they are Republic property. Promptly decides to go in to denial and starts going on about how that's not possible because this is the Republic, and they're literally on Coruscant and that's not possible.
Fox, who doesn't want to deal with tiny Jedi in denial about a fact that's common knowledge turns and snaps. "Yeah, Welcome to Coruscant Kid." Before Truging off to deal with whatever else he's got to deal with today, because there's always something.
Several hours later, he discovers that there's a baby Jedi sleeping in there Barracks.
Because apparently the Kid ran off to Senator Amidala the moment he'd gotten the chance and swarmed her with questions, Starting with a Confirmation about there recent new Purchase, and Ending with a Demand to know at what point in the last Ten years they had Legalized Slavery in the Republic.
The Kid had then proceeded to have a Breakdown because the Republic apparently had a slave army, especially one led by the Jedi was apparently some sort of intimate betrayal and the poor kid was having feelings about it.
He hadn't wanted to go back to the temple, and none of the Corries involved wanted to try and force it Because they were in fact not unfeeling assholes, and also because apparently the kid could stay because he had been claimed as a Vod'ika by the three Clones who'd allowed this situation.

Fox: The guard doesn't really do Jedi.
Thorn: What do you call that then?
Looks over towards the tables where a Ten year old Padawan is enthusiastically explaining his life goals to a large chunk of the guard.
Anakin: And then once you're all free from Depur and his Sleemo Senators then you guys can go do whatever you want, there's a whole galaxy out there you know? And one day I'm gonna see all of them and it's gonna be totally Wizard and And maybe some of you can come with me and-
Fox: He's our Jetti'ika, doesn't count

Ani and the Corrie Guard Jedi snippets.
Since Anakin can't really be on the field and they can't recall one of their top generals, Anakin ends up being placed with one of the initiate groups.
Which, after a bit of a rocky start results in Anakin getting a squad of tiny chaotic Jedi Younglings to hang out with.
The council won't admit it, but none of them have any clue about what to do with young Anakin, he's now even more of a force Anomaly so they really need to keep an eye on him, but also there's a war going on and they need to focus on that, so they're just kind of waiting for thr force to give them an answer while low key stressing as this tiny child causes chaos.
Mace refuses to even be around him because the boy is a walking explosion of shatter points and he gets a headache just thinking about the kid.
Obi-wan and Anakin are both off planet when Babykin Arrives, so they find out over holo call.
Obi-wan really wishes he could take Anakin with him, but he's also well aware he can't have a young padawan on the front lines. He does visit whenever he's in the temple though, because he secretly misses the early years of the boys Padawanship.
Ahsoka meets Anakin entirely by accident when she gets recruited to help with lightsaber lessons, she thinks that Baby Sky Guy is the cutest, but it's also a little strange because the idea that this kid is her master is really weird. What's weirder is that the two get on like a house on fire.
Adult Anakin makes it his life goal to avoid himself as much as possible, he's not entirely sure why, but there's something about coming face to face with his child self that makes him feel weird and he doesn't like it.
He won't admit that he's a little scared of facing himself and what his younger self would think of him.
Tiny Anakin also has confusing feelings about his adult self, mostly because of the fact that he's got this huge reputation and tiny Anakin has no idea how he's supposed to live up to himself.

Ok, so I'm slowly working on more fic's (as well as a bunch of random snippets, but also I need somewhere to drop my random hc's so these posts are now a thing.
Brief AU Summery.
The force decides that it needs a backup chosen one, so it steals a tiny 9/10 year old Anakin and drops him in to the clone wars.
Tiny Anakin now has to re adjust to the Clone wars Republic, but during his first post time travel visit with the Chancellor he accidentally ends up bonding with his Corrie escort. A seemingly insignificant moment that has war altering consequences.
