UPDATE

We! Are! Married!!

Our wedding day was 2/22/22 and it was the PERFECT day. Here's just a few snapshots from family and friends.

We are over the moon, and ready to begin the next chapter together. We've spent a lot of time reminiscing about our beginnings in an LDR. How far we've come and grown. I wouldn't change our story for anything. I hope our journey can be an encouragement to other LDR couples working so hard to close the gap.

Update on us!

This year has thrown a lot of struggles at us. My dog passed away, my grandma passed away, and storms severely damaged my family's home. We are all living with my grandpa until our home is repaired. And it's taking a long while.

But in between the hard times, there's been a lot of joy! We are preparing for our wedding, which is only 5 months away, and we couldn't be more excited. We got to attend our very good friend's wedding this year, and also take some great little vacations here and there.

Every day, I'm grateful for the fact that we have one another. And for the fact that the distance has been closed. This time of my life would be so much harder to deal with if I didn't have the love of my life here with me.

Yesterday was our FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOGETHER!! We recently went out and took photos to use for our Save the Dates that we'll be sending to family in a month or two.

We're so so blessed to be with one another, and to be on this marriage path. Five years ago, we were tentative to start an LDR. But we tried it anyway, because we cared about one another so much. I'm so glad for everything we've been through together, and so excited for everything to come. LDR is worth it, to be with the one you love.

Just an update for everyone!❤️

Life's been great for the two of us. December 2019 was our 4 year anniversary! We took a trip to a butterfly garden to celebrate that day.

For New Years (and my 23rd birthday!), we visited Bram's family back in Washington. It was super fun and surreal to spend time all together, but have Bram come back home WITH me! 😂 No more saying goodbye at the terminal gates.

In February, we celebrated our very first Valentine's Day together IN PERSON! And not to mention, our very first Valentine's Day ENGAGED!

Which leads me to the fact that we visited the Arizona Bridal Show earlier this year! It was super fun to get excited about wedding planning together. We even have our venue and date planned already! (We'll be hitched on 2/22/2022!) We're thankful we've given ourselves enough time to plan and save up.

I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope you all stay encouraged! LDR is hard as is, and with what's going on in the world today, it's made it even more hard. If you're reading this, I hope and trust that you and your partner stay strong, stay communicating, and stay loving! ❤️ It's all worth it to finally see the day where you no longer have to say goodbye.

Guys ... WE'RE ENGAGED!!!

Bram proposed to me on 11/11/19.

Friends since 2011, a long distance couple since 2015, and now soon to be a married couple as of 2019. We are so happy together, and blessed to finally be able to live our lives together.

Keep going, friends. Every day is special when you love the one you're with.
