Well ok, maybe just a little odd... But that's why we love him!
No, he’s not odd!

Socializing is as exhausting as giving blood. People assume we loners are misanthropes just sitting thinking: oh, people are such a bunch of assholes. But it’s really not like that. We just have a smaller tolerance for what it takes to be with others. It means having to perform. I get so tired of communicating.

^ This. I need to memorise this in order to explain it to people who think I'm just an antisocial, awkward arse. I like people - it's just that I can only deal with them for so long before I need some peaceful time to myself again to recharge my sociable batteries.

Singing and choir and things
On cloud nine.
Although I haven't yet made it to being an official full member of Andante yet, I HAVE gone one further and progressed to the ranks of those who are considered good enough to sing a solo. I literally haven't stopped grinning since.
Other interesting observations: apparently whilst I get absolutely bloody terrified singing a solo in front of a pretty piss poor choir, I can sing one in front of a choir full of really good singers no problem at all. WHAAAAT?!? Felt perfectly happy standing up and singing tonight. How on earth can that be, when I'm facing rows of people who are mostly as good or better than me?
Damn my stupid, complicated nerves. Sort your shit out!

My English teacher taught us an even better one. (context: two boys are doing an exercise about verb tenses...):
James, where John had had 'had', had had 'had had'. 'Had had' had had a better effect on the teacher.
11 of the same word in a row, yet it still makes sense. 11!! English is INSANE.
omfg i am so sorry to all you non-native english speakers that need to learn this shit

Kiki came out for the first time in a while today. He headed straight to sunbathe in the brightest spot, then remembered about climbing, so he went exploring and climbed EVERYTHING in the flat. And no, he's not really biting me in the last picture. He does it gently and thinks it's a great game. Strange bird.

Do you think he genuinely does support it, though? From what I've seen of his interviews, I don't think he does support violence - he seems more to take the line that if violence is going to happen, which in this day and age is sadly almost inevitable, that the best thing we can do is support those who DO volunteer their time, effort and lives to try and protect us civvies from it as best they can. I'm not saying that the military don't do some pretty unsavoury things sometimes, but do you really think the world would be a peaceful place nowadays if they didn't? I think we'd just be a lot further down the pecking order to be honest...
I wonder how much Gary Sinise makes for narrating the Army commercials. Fucking tool.

*splutter* Given his unstinting support of the military, and the fact that he set up his own Foundation with the express purpose of helping those who are serving and have served their country, he probably doesn't make a lot (if anything) for it actually. He very often donates what he makes for things like that to the Foundation, so maybe do your research before you have a go at a good guy who is just trying to help people...

I REALLY want to be a part of a musical flashmob like this. They are just amazing! Wouldn't fancy having to lug a double bass around to do it though - grateful I only play cello!
