how fucking arrogant can you be to think any eugenics program could ever weed out ā€œfascist geneticsā€. even if the ā€œdark triadā€ was a reliable precursor to fascist ideology and even if ā€œdark triad traitsā€ could be reliably linked to genotype (they arenā€™t and they canā€™t be), how fucking far to jupiter are you if you think you can remove it from a population of seven billion, let alone in some ā€œanarchistā€ manner? how do you programmatically sterilize anyone in an ā€œanarchistā€ manner?

I don't block many ppl on Tumblr who aren't porn bots because my dash is pretty well curated and I just don't need to that often.
One person I blocked with prejudice came at me when I posted a list of my fics on AO3 as part of a "look what I've accomplished this year" celebration. In the post, I mentioned they were user-locked and offered an invitation to anyone who might want it.
This random asshole, who didn't even follow me far as I could tell, decided it was appropriate to come at me and say something like "if you actually want people to read your fics, you shouldn't make them inaccessible."
When I replied with "wtf, I literally offered you an invitation. And if you look at my blog, my pinned post has links to all these fics on tumblr" they continued with "I would feel bad taking up an account as someone who doesn't write." [Ignoring the fact that I told them how to read without an AO3 account.] I told them that made no sense, they continued to complain, and I blocked them.
Just make an account. Even if you don't write, it's worth it as a reader. I had my account for 5 years before ever posting a fic. Nine before I started posting with any regularity. Locked fics alone are worth it, but bookmarks and subscriptions doubly so.
Just saw a notification on AO3 that they've temporarily disabled guest comments due to "an influx of abusive spam comments." Any guesses on whether that's due to donation drive drama or other anti behaviour?

Your average anti doesn't have the tech skills for bots, but who knows.

The real reason everyone makes fun of Dicks Discowing outfit is because he's the only one that can somehow pull it off
Every superhero and vigilante has has a costume like that at some point, something daring or a bit ridiculous that in hindsight that they just couldn't make work for whatever reason. Nightwing? The pretty motherfucker not only made it work, he slayed in that outfit. It looks ridiculous by itself on display in the batcave but not when Nightwing puts it on
The only reason Dick doesn't know this is because all his siblings have collectively gaslit him into thinking that it's his worst costume to date.

Making grown adults stick to an arbitrary schedule isn't just something that happens to people with intellectual disabilities. I didn't want to post this on the last video as this isn't about intellectual disabilities but it does relate.
I worked as a security guard in a section 8 apartment complex. The place had a curfew of 10pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends. As security we were expected to ruthlessly enforce this. If someone was out after those hours, even if it was on their own porch just talking, we were supposed to warn them and then write them up and turn it into the office. They could get evicted for this, with no clear indication of how many times it had to happen, and possibly lose their voucher as well.
These were grown ass adults just hanging out and talking in a place they were paying for (section 8 requires them to pay a portion of the rent, so yes, they were paying for it). Most of them weren't even being rowdy and the ones that were usually just took a, "Hey, you're being a bit loud, could you keep it down please?" to get them to settle down. It was a ridiculous rule (curfews always are).
Coincidentally, a lot of my coworkers at the time didn't like working the place. They got yelled at, treated like shit, and had problems every night. I didn't understand because I never had that issue and then I realized why. They were actually ruthlessly enforcing that rule and were rightfully hated for it where I would walk the property about thirty minutes before and have this interaction.
"Hey," I'd say to a group of people on a porch. "I gotta tell you that curfew is in about thirty minutes."
"And what are you going to do if we don't go in?" someone would reply.
"Well, my break is in thirty minutes too and I like a long break," I'd reply with a shrug. "Make of that what you will."
At which point I'd just get a nod, a laugh, or an "Alright" and then I'd go on, finish up my round, take a nice long break, and then wander back around about an hour after curfew. You know what? Never had a problem. Never had to write someone up. Occasionally I would run into someone still out on their porch and I'd just either go the other way so I "didn't see them" or just give them a wave and keep going.

The first time Danny sees Dick Grayson he calls him Tata.
Danny, in his Ghost Zone travels, befriended the Flying Graysons. John and Mary like him so much, that it started as a joke, sort of.
"Ahhhhh, the son we never had! Welcome!"
"My little Robin's long lost little brother, come, come!"
And it morphed into him jokingly calling them Tata and Daj. Then it wasn't really a joke anymore.
Then the Observants inform him that as far as Ghost Law is concerned, they're his Ghost Guardians.
This means that Danny has two sets of parents; Jack and Maddie on the human side of things, and John and Mary on the ghost side of thing.
So when he sees Dick Grayson, who looks a lot like John, it just slips out.
This leads to a very awkward stare off in the middle of a coffee shop.
Danny has no idea how to explain himself.

Imagine if you met someone who can't eat watermelon. Not that they're allergic or unable somehow, but they just haven't figured out how to do that. So you're like "what the hell do you mean? it works just like eating anything else, you open your mouth, sink your teeth in, take a bite and chew. If you can bite, chew and swallow, you should be able to eat a watermelon."
And they agree that yes, they do know how to eat, in theory. The problem is the watermelon. Surely, if they figured out where to start, they'd figure out how to do it, but they have no clue how to get started with it.
This goes back and forth. No, it's not an emotional issue, they're not afraid of the watermelon. They can eat any other fruit, other sweet things, and other watery things ("it's watery?" they ask you). Is it the colour? Do they have a problem eating things that are green on the outside and red on the inside?
"It's red on the inside?"
Wait, they've never seen the inside? At this point you have to ask them how, exactly, they eat the watermelon. So to demonstrate, they take a whole, round, uncut watermelon, and try to bite straight into it. Even if they could bite through the crust, there's no way to get human jaws around it.
"Oh, you're supposed to cut it first. You cut the crust open and only chew through the insides."
And they had no idea. All their life this person has had no idea how to eat a watermelon, despite of being told again and again and again that it's easy, it's ridiculous to struggle with something so simple, there's no way that someone just can't eat a watermelon, how can you even mange to be bad at something as fucking simple as eating watermelon.
If someone can't do something after being repeatedly told to "just do it", there might be some key component missing that one side has no idea about, and the other side assumed was so obvious it goes without mention.

So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
Reblog to increase sample size!
