there is something so funny (and sad too in a way) to me about how i read soc for the first time when i was like 12 and thought “omg they’re such a cool group of friends i can’t wait to be 17 and get involved in borderline illegal shenanigans with my best friends too” because of course that’s how you perceive being 17 when you’re 12 and now i AM 17 and the most relatable parts of the duology are feeling betrayed by the adults & institutions in ur life that should protect you and just like don’t and feeling like u had to grow up too fast bc of that. and also the fact that i too love my friends always and would do anything for them. anyways as a certified 17 year old i would like to thank soc for being the best representation of teenagers in literature to date i will be taking no criticisms on that statement thank you <3
why don’t you watch the season 1 finale of derry girls and maybe you’ll understand the necessity of love and friendship in the face of terror and violence and the enduring hope that keeps humanity going during its darkest moments
basic understanding of six of crows is that all six of them are living through their [olivia rodrigo voice] i'm so sick of seventeen, where's my fucking teenage dream? phase so eric heisserer honestly graciously failed at step one on his way to make a good soc show adaption
Eye miniatures, often set into jewelry such as brooches, pendant necklaces and lockets were introduced to British society around 1785 and were common for the next half century, and known as “lover’s eyes”. Clockwork Angel is set in the 19th century, but I loved this concept and because there’s a part where Tessa describes forgetting the exact shade of blue of Will’s eyes (sob) so I gave myself some artistic license. Also included their wedding rings because I read the extra scene of the wedding and it sent me into my feels. Reading the Last Hours has made me so nostalgic for the first time I read The Infernal Devices years ago and tore through those books!
