like sorry, i just don't comprehend what's "inherent" or "important" abt affinity and focus for muscles, bulges, cocks, sex, hypermasculine features, so on and so forth, it's just so?????? i don't get it at all and what makes it so "important." bc i don't think it's important at all. i don't think it's even inherent to being gay and less emphasis should be placed on it. i really think this is bc i'm asexual and bc my aesthetic/semiromantic attraction lies in a completely different ballpark of androgyny and fashion beauty. uuuughhghhhghhj

god i. i don't know how to reconcile how much sex and sexualization is such a huge focus in mlm/gay spaces it just crawls under my skin and makes me wanna die for real. like i sure like my fair share of sexy stuff and what i think is hot but. a very specific kind of Sexiness and Sexualization especially with emphasis on penis and muscles being Peak attractive and important for gay men just makes my skin crawl. especially bc i'm way more asexual and prioritize my aesthetic attraction which is extremely far removed from what gay men "actually" like and i'm just convinced that the fact i don't Get It about what makes this "so important" to gay men culture just makes me feel like i'm a living insult or antithesis to what it actually means to be a man who likes men. like god, i have a high libido bc of testosterone but my actual sexuality is just so fucking dissonant w my libido UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?? am i fucking stupid

how do you feel about the word "humanity" being used to describe acts of kindness, care, empathy, or people just existing in a way that has universal relatability and resonance? and are there other words you prefer to use that has the same connotation of "humanity" that humans use it in?

for the record i myself am also nonhuman but don't engage w the community much, and i'm only recently coming to terms with it, so i do wanna know if others are bothered by the use of the word humanity in this context

barring cultural/spiritual-specific identities, trying to define a queer identity by exclusivity only is valid when talking to cishet homophobes/transphobes who won't respect your identity. you've gotta set up those walls to assert yourself, i get it. but when it comes to other queer people, particularly when it comes to being genderqueer, those walls should become more like gates we can easily walk in and out of, so we can all be more fluid and open in exploring our own identities. a man can be a woman can be neither can be gay can be a lesbian can be both can be all can be anything forever and ever

while we're at it why do you assume "man" and "woman" means the epitome/exemplar definition of what those identities are according to the patriarchy and gender standards and expectations. why do genderqueer, gender nonconforming, and otherwise androgynous or fluid men or women never come to mind for you. who don't necessarily apply to the strict gender binary you believe in, but still are men and women. can you please just fucking think that men and women are maybe more than joe biden and taylor swift

y'know in light of how it's being pointed out we're regressing into a strict gender binary again with the Girlposting or whatever can we go back to how being totally agender/nonbinary unaligned or even genderfluid across genders equally was being advocated for more and was starting to gain visibility. sure we have more nonbinary ppl now, but it feels like they're only acceptable or seen as long as they're fem or masc aligned, or if they relate to being "feminine" or "masculine." why are we afraid of total neutrality or equal fluidity having presence. why do we always forget people who cross or reject the binary exist. why do we forget people who very much aren't "girls" or "boys" in any capacity. why do we force people who ARE both girl and boy to see their identities as fundamentally opposite and mutually exclusive. why why why why PLEASE fuck gender binary, fuck the "girlposting" to conservative misogyny pipeline (re: that tiktok video) BRING BACK NEUTRALITY AND FLUIDITY

as an addition i was thinking of this one post that says white cis men fetishize & try to emulate black manhood bc it's perceived as more masculine, and white cis women may do the same for east asian womanhood and perception of femininity. (racist gender stereotyping of black people and east asians.) and someone connected it to how white nonbinary/transmascs may do a similar thing to east asian men bcs they (subconsciously) see east asian masculinity as more "feminine" and thus more "achievable" which i just. i am so exhausted. like, it's ok to think celebrity asian men are hot or attractive or whatever. but please be fucking mindful and Normal abt it and don't engage in shit like shipping and porn of them. that's just racist 👎 . a lot of popular white transmasc artists or creators on twitter make me feel Very Fucking Unsafe bc of this shit. i would very much LIKE to be in a "community" or "solidarity" w them, but to them my race is only an object or aesthetic to be seen as "omg so gender" or "omg so hot" or shipping or porn material like. i know white people who are into different j-fashion styles like lolita and decora kei who are more respectful to asian cultures and people than you ppl are. seriously.
