Same shit, different tour.
I swear Kpop fans can be so ungrateful.
Every time a Kpop concert is announced there is always that group of people attack companies that put on these Kpop concerts. I understand how badly we all want to see our groups but damn. Y’all need to chill.
Tumblr media
First of all, it is not that event companies fault. They do their best to satisfy people. No, I am not talking about ones with bad reps either. I am so tired of seeing people go in on SubKulture.
Take it from someone that has been to 8 kpop concerts. They are the BEST.
They are organized and they answer every question that most fans have. They actually care about us fans and don't just see us as walking money bags(my music taste). They communicate with us. I will admit their past few concerts have been sprung on us but at least they try their best to make people happy.
WIth this whole Shinee World concert people are hating on them because they are only visiting 2 cities.
Secondly, at least they addressed it and gave you a response instead of giving you false hope. It is a valid reason. Shinee is too busy to add on dates.
Just be happy that they are coming. Most countries that aren't in Asia only get one date from the tour and others are left out completely. Unless it states North American tour or US tour don’t expect a lot of dates.
Learn the difference between a WORLD tour and a U.S. tour.
Then we have those people that attack them because their city is never added to the tour line up. They have to go where there is a demand for this type of concert. I am not saying it isn't popular in your city or area but there is probably a high demand somewhere else.
Also be realistic; chances are you have probably heard about other kpop tours. If you see a pattern with the cities expect that those cities will be announced. Why should this tour be any different?
L.A.
New York
Dallas
Chicago
Atlanta
Miami
D.C.
A few of these cities from above are where the tour is likely to take place.
If you really wanted to go you would find a way. If you are too young and have to ask your parents but they say no, there will be other concerts. Trust me, I had to miss out on so many concerts because my parents would say no. Or If you live in one of the cities it is stopping in, save up, or ask for the concert ticket as a gift(early gift if you have too). If you are older where there’s a will there’s a way. I am by no means rich. When there is a concert I want to go to I budget like crazy and work hard. Keep in mind I live nowhere near any of the cities listed above. I have to pay for travel, hotel, and my ticket. It requires a lot of sacrifices but I make it happen. Even though I work hard and sacrifice a lot to go I am still GRATEFUL for the experience. I appreciate their hard work and all the time they spend putting this on especially SubK. The only time I have complained toward an event company was with MMT they ignored us and were so unorganized it made an enjoyable experience stressful. I paid all this money for Exo and the company treated us terribly. Then I complained with how JYP Ent. handled the Got7 drama last year. I didn’t go and blame SubK.
I understand there are some people that really cannot go but I am just saying this for all the complainers out there. That go out of their way to leave awful comments on these event planners pages. So rude and ungrateful.
Tumblr media
Please get it through your head that it isn’t their fault. The group's company has final say and if that group is too busy there is nothing they can do about it. They can’t adjust the artist's schedule just to make one group of people happy.

Jimin Park 19 to 20 Review. TRYing to survive.
Jimin’s album has finally dropped. It was a long wait.
Tumblr media
I think we can all agree it was totally worth it. I was so disappointed when ‘Hopeless Love’ was just a single. I wanted more. She has so much talent I just wish she was more recognized.
Some people don’t even know she is a singer. They think she is just an MC on ASC.
People are sleeping on her.
To be honest people are just sleeping on 15& as a whole. They are probably some of the most talented vocalists that are under JYP. I am glad Yerin got to showcase her voice with her debut as a solo artist and her comeback. I am going to be frank though; I was on edge waiting for my girl Jaime.
I am so Jimin biased it isn’t even funny. She is just such an amazing person. It just shines through her. Plus she is freakin’ gorgeous and talented. I literally can’t with her.
I woke up just to watch the V live stream. I am so glad that for once V didn’t have any connection issues and they actually had subtitles. I almost cried from joy.
The showcase(?) was phenomenal. It was so lively but we also got to see Jimin as an artist. I was so proud when she talked about her music. She looked so happy and proud. She deserves so much attention. Her performance of ‘Answer’ live is EVERYTHING.
Ugh, she killed me.
Then the performance of ‘Young” with Brian( YoungK hahaha) was amazing as well. It was so hype. Bambam and Yugyeom jamming to it.
It was nice to see a more serious side of her when she spoke about her music. We are so used to seeing her joke around and being playful. It was great to see a different aspect of her but she was still the bubbly Jimin we all love. It made me kind of sad when they told her the amount of hearts she had and she was like it’s the power of Got7 and Day6. Jimin don’t think like that! BabyJ’s were all waiting for your album. We needed it. The fact that she called Yerin during the live stream had me like “yaaaasss” because I was thinking something had gone down between the 2. They haven’t really had much interaction so we were all kind of like “what is going on?”. I am glad they worked out whatever was going on between them and that post that Yerin wrote. *tears*
Okay, now a breakdown of my thoughts on the album.
It’s great. One of the best things I have ever heard. K, bye.
No, but seriously here is an honest breakdown of each song.
‘Try’ this song is so touching. The song’s melody is joyful(?) despite some of the lyrics being kind of sad. The fact that she wanted to put a song out there to cheer up people when they are down is touching. The song does a great job at doing that. I’m not sure about everyone else but it definitely cheered me up.  It is just a really uplifting song.
‘Young’ straight up I just want to break out in dance when this song comes on. I couldn’t find English translations for a lot of the songs. By the feel of it I am assuming it is about being young, 20 to be specific and just having fun. Brian’s rap in this though. He killed it. This collab was amazing. He suited this song so well. This would be an awesome song to just jam to in the car.
Tumblr media
‘Walkin’ one of my favorite songs off the album. Aahhhh it is just so good I need English translations asap. The song itself though has a more R&B feeling. It suits Jimin’s voice so well. The fact that she had Hash Swan feature on this song. The collab was kind of unexpected but it worked. Especially with his flow. It just really gave the song that was already everything a little more. It is my fucking jam.
‘Answer’ the fact that this was the first song she performed made me just instantly fall for this track. Once again this has more of an R&B feel to it that literally suits her voice so well. The track itself is so good. Just all the body rolls. The lyrics of not really knowing where you stand in a relationship and that the person changes around you which only confuses you more. Something I am sure a lot of us can relate to. The ‘Demo ver.’ which is just the English version. Thank you Jimin, for including an English version to one of my favorite tracks. I can actually sing along. I am not worthy.
Tumblr media
‘To him’ This song is so soulful. More upbeat than ‘Hopeless Love’ but follows the same topic of one sided love. The fact that she wrote these songs based off personal experiences so she can truly convey the feeling. Jimin please, I can only take so much. The thing about her voice is that it is so emotional. You can just feel it even when you don’t have translations yet *cough* (the struggle of international fans.)
I am just so thankful for being able to listen to such an amazing album. I am blessed. Thank you Jimin for all your hard work. The fact that you still sang live on today's live stream despite your throat hurting was very touching. She is just such a beautiful person.
Did I mention how biased I am?

Certified Genius.
I don't really care if people disagree or call me biased(I am.)
Tumblr media
Suga’s mixtape is amazing. The entire track list is just him. He worked so hard. This was years in the making. The long wait was so fucking worth it. I can’t even put it into words properly.
He gave us his raw emotions. He laid everything out on a table and was like “This is me.”
I am so...I don’t even know what to say. I was not expecting this.
I am so thankful for everything. As his fan. I almost feel invasive with all the stuff he shared with us. I am grateful he let us see him.
Thank you.
Tumblr media
I am sure all of you have read lyric translations by now. It is crazy that as fans we stand by and support them. Watch every video that is released on them. Like every photo. Buy every album. Listen to every song. Memorize their lyrics. Read about them. Basically we think we know them so well when there is so much we don’t understand or know.
His lyrics hit me hard. The thought of many people in their late teens early twenties.
The fact that he opened up about his mental health. Not many regular people would do that the fact that he did despite being a well known artists is crazy to me.
The lyrics to ‘The Last’ are almost haunting. They leave you with such a deep sense of sadness. The fact that he had to struggle with this while trying to handle being an idol. Most people that struggle with depression and social anxiety have enough trouble dealing with day to day life. I cannot imagine having to deal with that while being in the public eye.
My favorite tracks are all of them.
Yeah, it’s that good. No, but honestly the ones that really stuck out to me are ‘The Last’, ‘724148′, and ‘Give it to me’.
So, yeah. I feel overwhelmed.
Tumblr media
My ears are blessed.
None of the gifs belong to me.

Flight Log: Ignored.
I guess our blog name is accurate since we are treated like trash. Seriously what the fuck JYPE?
So FlyinUSA never happened?
Even though we sold out numerous venues for them?
LIke we seriously don’t get a 10 minute video of the boys in the US?
Wait but the concert where a girl was physically beat to the point where she had to go to the hospital and speak to the police gets a fucking video?
Oh no. but US fans are being punished...I mean we totally screwed up...right?
We never get any type of interaction with Kpop groups. At all. If we get a concert or fan meet it is just the concert and fan meet. Unless you are able to pay 400+ dollars for a hitouch or photo session. Even then fans are rushed and photos are poorly taken.  If we see them out in public and they agree to take pictures with fans then Asian fans get upset. Even when they already get to see them way more often and are more likely to meet them. Not only that but we didn’t even get the full concert experience. They cut an entire segment from the concert.
We constantly have to miss out on members attending concerts here. Despite all that international Kpop fans are more than willing to dish out hundreds of dollars even for the shittiest seats.
I understand that I should be grateful that we even get Kpop concerts and I am. However I cannot help but see a major difference in the way international fans are treated.
Especially for a group like Got7 that is marketed as an international group. JYPE doesn’t really treat international fans all that well. If Asian fans are offended they apologize right away. If US fans are offended or hurt their feelings are given zero recognition by the company.
Tumblr media
US fan were hurt with the whole Got7 situation. They were hurt then ignored by JYPE. As if nothing happened. All of their voices and concerns were swept under a rug like it was no big deal. If Bambam hadn’t of apologized on Instagram who knows what would’ve happened.
Look Got7 made a mistake. We all know it let's, call a spade a spade. Bambam fucked up. Mark should’ve talked to his friends and asked them not to act like asshats at the concert.
So, why are US fans being punished and ignored?
No formal apology or a video of our tour, Nothing. We get fucking silence.
No fans misbehaved at the concert. No incidents with harassing Got7.
So why are we suffering the consequences of someone else's actions?
I am so tired of international fans being treat like a flaming pile of trash.
We go through so much just to support these groups and for what?
To be ignored and spit on?
The fact that JYPE uploaded the Hong Kong Fly video not even a week after the concert is such a slap in the face to US fans. It has been over a month since FlyinUSA and we have nothing.
Our tour is being treated like it never happened.
The 835$ that we spent on everything for this concert begs to differ.
I spent close to 400 dollars for a fucking plane ticket.
Thanks JYPE for showing me how much you care about us fans...Oh no my feelings love being stomped on then thrown in the back of a garbage truck.
Tumblr media
Not only that but the amount of effort we go through to buy the groups merch. We spend a fuckload on shipping prices. If an album is 15 dollars we end up paying around 25 or more.
The shipping isn’t even insured so if it gets lost, well too bad.
Arrives damaged? Well unless the seller is super nice or you are willing to pay for return shipping you’re stuck with the damaged good.
If we go to a concert and want to buy merch well first off make sure they are even selling any. Then if they are then make sure you preorder a month in advance.
Oh you wanted all the merch offered in Asian countries? Sorry we get a quarter of that;
35 dollar T-shirt.
12 dollar glow stick.
10 dollar poster.
Take your pick of the wide selection!
The official lightstick? Sorry you have to order that in advance to make sure it gets here in time. Also be aware that it is probably double the price that Asian fans pay.
Oh wait make sure that you are even allowed to bring it inside your venue.
Tumblr media
DISCLAMER: When I wrote Asian fans I meant some fans that LIVE in Asian countries (South Korea, China, etc.) If there is a better way to word it let me know. I couldn’t think of one. I didn’t mean to offend anyone.
We don’t own any of the gifs.

allkpop: why is it still a thing?
Ok, let me start off by saying that I’m writing this rant from the perspective of someone who has been doing journalism for 7+ years, went to school for it, and has a communications degree. I realize that a lot has changed over the span of 7 years, and that digital journalism has essentially created a whole new world of ethics that do not conform to the standards of traditional reporting.
However, we can still recognize when some media outlets are complete garbage.
And it’s time for us to stop reading allkpop.
I think it’s pretty common knowledge throughout the kpop community that allkpop is known for harmful “reporting.” But there are still so many people out there supporting them and they’re still one of the most read forms of kpop media for international fans.
And with this recent bambam situation, I just want to touch on how they’re harmful exactly.
Take this headline and caption:
Tumblr media
That is a mess. I’m sorry, it just is. Now, in journalism there’s this thing called “minimizing harm.” I understand that most current media does not abide by that code, and especially not an entertainment website, but come on.
But there is still a way to report on sensitive topics and this is not it.
This headline is so negative; it takes away from the actual information. Bambam apologized, and it is not up to allkpop to decide whether or not that apology is considered official. Yes, they could have used the term “unofficial” as a way of saying “not company issued,” but it makes it sound opinionated and takes away from the actual information. The question mark? Not necessary. Are they really so confused they have to put a question mark after the majority of their headlines? And that caption….I can understand wanting to start an informed debate, but that is not the way to do it. This is not minimizing harm. This is maximizing it.
Tbh I don’t know what the article says. I didn’t click on it. The caption and headlines are so bad that it prevented me from doing so. That says something right there.
(Side note: please don’t take my opinion on allkpops reporting skills as my stance on the bambam situation. I’m not saying everything is good since he apologized. He was wrong. He needed to apologize. Fans are allowed to still be upset about the whole thing. I am simply saying that they are not helping the situation)
Now, let’s talk about Yugyeom:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh my god, okay.
So. First off, that headline is implying that it is fact that Yugyeom was partaking in underage drinking. It’s implying that there has been information to prove this statement. There is no evidence that he was underage drinking. None. Yes, he seems out of it on camera, but can we see him consuming alcohol? Are there bottles next to him? Saying in the actual article that he “appears” to be drunk does not mean anything. It goes against the headline and provides false information. What kind of shoddy reporting, honestly.
And now let’s go back into the past a bit. This is going to get a a bit long, so I will put the rest under a cut.
I’ve only been in the kpop community for 2 years, so I’m sure there’s a lot I have missed out on. Initially, I followed allkpop bc I was eager to get all the info on my fav idols. And for a long time, I continued to follow them even though I wasn’t happy with them because I still wanted info.
So personally, the article that finally made me unfollow was this:
Tumblr media
Now, I was one of those people who were excited to hear the news that Kai and Krystal were dating. But I was not excited to see how allkpop was posting literally everything they could about them. Is it necessary to report on every single thing netizens do to invade an idol’s privacy? Netizens do a lot of things, it’s up to allkpop as “journalists” to decide whether or not something is worth sharing. Picking and choosing what is news is part of ethical reporting. This article was completely unnecessary. Remember what I said about minimizing harm? Ethics clearly do not exist here, folks.
And now let’s look at some just…dumb things they’ve done honestly. Idk how else to put it.
(WARNING: this next screenshot contains a gruesome image. Please proceed cautiously)
It’s hard for me to hide the gruesome part and still make my point. Hopefully putting this under a cut helps a little.
Tumblr media
I took this screenshot when the article was posted, so around the end of March. Now…how are you going to put this caption as a warning that the MV is gruesome…and then put a graphic image in the thumbnail anyway. That is entirely pointless. Readers are forced to see this image, and they can easily be triggered. They could have used any other other image honestly where is the logic. This is careless and h a r m f u l. (Are you guys seeing a reoccurring theme here??)
Also, fact-checking doesn’t exist with allkpop either.
This next screenshot was also taken when it was posted, so I’m not sure if they went back and edited the information or not. But my point is, they post articles without fact-checking.
Tumblr media
(sorry about the ads in the screenshot lol)
That last sentence is the focus here. Not entirely sure what they mean by “formally,” but Sehun was not the third member to tackle acting. I mean…that is kind of common knowledge. I’m taking formally acting as movies, dramas, web dramas, those kind of things. I just really don’t understand how that last sentence originated….
This last screenshot isn’t the best cause I accidentally took it while turning my headphones up (whoops lololololol) but it still gets the point across:
Tumblr media
I think that person’s comment pretty much sums it up. Their headline claims BTS had released some kind of “mysterious trailer,” when in reality it was explicitly said what the video was for. Again…do they not know what fact-checking is….or like…..you know….actually looking into something before posting about it….
I’m not trying to say that it isn’t okay to make mistakes. I was taught that being held accountable for your mistakes and correcting them actually strengthens your credibility as a journalist. But consistently posting without entirely knowing a situation and the facts undermines that credibility. Allkpop posts hastily, and the more this happens, the less competent they seem.
Allkpop is sensationalism.
I understand this is entertainment. I specialized in entertainment journalism. But facts still exist in the entertainment world and there is a way to share them. This is not the way.
This is harmful sharing.
If you want your kpop news, please consider going elsewhere as to not spread false around the community. Perhaps Soompi, for example. It’s less chaotic.

Exo or die.
I am absolutely disgusted by the way some ExoL’s are treating a 14 year old girl.
Tumblr media
What is wrong with you people?
You are acting like she deeply offended them by spitting in their faces and burning their albums.
All she did was say “I like BTS”. How is that rude? She even said “I really like Exo oppas.”
THe MC had asked her what she thought of Exo so she said she liked them but she was a bigger BTS fan. Suho jokingly responded “Well I haven’t seen her latest movie…” Everyone laughed it was a good time. Then Suho asked who her favorite was she said V and JImin. Then he replied with “I am close with V”. Then another MC asked her if she saw the Growl MV. To which she replied with a yes and that they all looked cool. The he followed up with “but?” she replied “BTS”.
It was just some playful banter. People are acting like she straight up spit in their face and burned their albums.
I highly doubt the opinion of ONE 14 year old girl is keeping them up a night or making them cry. For real, it's fucking ridiculous. The fact that she is getting all this hate over an opinion. Most of the hate is saying how “rude” and “dumb” she is.
Don’t even get me started on Instagram. I am see the most outrages comments. Literally making me physically cringe. How she “degraded” them and that “brought up her age to make suho look bad”. Cho Seho asked her how old she was and she just replied. Then people are saying “she didn’t have to bring it up, not surprising for an army”.
Tumblr media
Really?
“They didn’t have to bully and send her death threats though...not surprising from an ExoL…”
When I first saw the clip I thought it was super funny and cute. It only took about an hour for it to be ruined and a young girl's name to be dragged through the mud.
Fans even went as far as to edit her Wikipedia page. They wrote things like being overweight was her occupation” that she died on July 7th 2016.
Trying to justify your rude comments with “She should know better. She was trained for this.”
EXACTLY she was trained to handle interviews and she probably has a manager watching her as it was filmed. I highly doubt she would say something she felt was rude.
Saying she is old enough to be respectful...um double standard?
Aren’t you old enough to know that bullying is wrong? That a person is ENTITLED to their own opinion.
Some of the comments are saying “she should be happy she got to meet them.”
Tumblr media
Nah, she wanted to meet V oppa and Jimin oppa.
Seriously if you think I am writing this to hate on ExoLs I am not. Read some of the comments.
This is what makes the Kpop fandom look like actual garbage. It make it so hard to consider yourself part of a fandom because people just ruin it.

FlyinDallas was legendary.
Last night was our D-day. Fly in Dallas.
Tumblr media
The anticipation leading up to this concert was intense. We basically have been planning this since right after our Exo concert. Now that it has come and gone we are kind of at a lost for words. The entire concert was amazing.
Beyond amazing really.
I am sure you are all aware that Youngjae was unable to attend the concert because he was sick. We were sad but not mad because this was an actual unforeseen circumstance. We were glad they let him rest.
Let’s start from the beginning we were running late and got dropped off at about 5:10. The worker at the drop off area was extremely rude (keep in mind this is a venue employee not subk) He was banging on the passenger window. The proceeded to yell at us because Megan’s mom couldn't hear him over all the traffic. Just rude.
We made our way over to the front of the venue. Trying to look for the merch pick up. Unlike Exo there was no merch tent set up in the front. The tables were set up on the front left side of the building right in front of the doors. It was kind of confusing to tell what each table was for. There was one for wristbands. Then the merch pickup was right next to it but the merch pickup was separated by paypal and credit card orders. Then it was split up order number, so make sure you check the paper on the table to see if it matches up with your order number. If not you’ll have to get back in line. We were in line but they closed merch pick up before we were able to get ours.
So we just went to stand by our usual spot. We then opted for standing under some shade because it was extremely hot outside. I am talking everyone was drenched in sweat. Keep in mind we weren’t even waiting out there for a long. It was freakin’ hot but I mean that is Texas for you.
So after standing under the shade for awhile we decided we should start lining up. By this time they had already made an announcement on the changes security that had been made by venue. We were just there in february but these security measures weren't there so we are assuming they were recently added due to some events that have happened in the past month. There was a venue employee walking around with a megaphone telling us we would have to got through metal detectors. All jewelry must be removed, pockets emptied, and bags open for inspection. Also that NO cameras were allowed in. Getting through security was kind of a pain because a lot of people disregarded what the employee had been saying. They were still trying to sneak in cameras. Please just do yourself and everyone else in line a favor and don’t try to sneak in a camera
I know you want HQ photos and videos but security there was really thorough with searching bags (at least in the line I was in).
This had nothing to do with actual concert but there were some girls behind us in line. They were talking about the BTS concert and complaining. The things they were stating were completely false. First of all they said that Subkulture wasn’t the company that put together TRB when they were. Then they said “maybe it was them” but that they did a “bad job”. That the tour was a mess when it wasn’t. She said they oversold tickets(which they didn't) then didn’t want to give people a refund. That never happened. She confused TRB with the Highlight tour. Then when some girl tried to say “aren't you talking about the highlight tour?” she said no. She was obviously very confused. The only date in TRB tour that came across a problem was NY. It wasnt even SubKs fault. A gun threat was made towards a BTS member. Of course it was unfortunate that one stupid person caused the concert to end early and the hi touch event to be cancelled but Subk had to take that threat seriously. Don’t blame them blame the idiot person that ruined it for everyone. This is how false information is spread in the kpop community. Please do some research before you proceed to bash an entire company.
I have been to 8 Kpop concerts and SubKulture is one of the best companies. They keep you updated with everything and are in constant contact with fans. They do their best to work with us. The concert they put together run smoothly unless there is an outside party that causes a problem.
After we made it through security we had to find the where merch pick up would resume. They had closed it at 5:30 but it resumed once doors opened. At this point we split up Megan went to get the merch and I went to go get drinks. Before I headed to the concession stand I stopped by the fan letter dropbox to drop our letters off.
Yes, for once they had a drop box where we could leave letters to the members. Just letters no gifts were allowed but at least we were able to write to them. Please note that they did not supply pen and paper for you to write a letter at the venue. Make sure you are coming to the venue with either your letter already written up or a pen and paper. The drop box was located in the lobby right by the merch. So make sure to write something to your bias.
After I dropped our letters off I went over to buy water because it was so hot outside and we knew we were going to have to stay hydrated during the concert. Of course though with our luck the lady tells me they don't have water. How do you not have water? It is a concert that is happening in Texas. In the summer. She just told me that they were waiting for an order. So I bough bottled drinks because it was spill proof after making the purchase I went to find Megan.
What happens to be getting delivered?
Water. SIgh. I have awful timing and luck.
Thankfully they had merch in bags so you didn’t have to worry about having to juggle everything. Our seats were in the exact same section and row they were for BTS Section 305 Row DDD. We were just on the opposite side. Our seats were amazing. We could see the stage perfectly.
So we waited. The like most concerts it started late. They hyped us up by played the A frantis remix. They had us shook because we were like are they coming out? Then the crowd started chanting Got7. The vibe in the venue was amazing everyone was excited. I am glad to see that not a lot of people asked for a refund because of Youngjae’s absence.
Everyone had their lightsticks on and it was just great. They opened with “Put Them Up”. It was amazing. They were amazing.
The concert was rad. Jackson was giving all the feels. He was so into it. He told us to drink organic green tea. BamBam addressed the dab hate and said he didn’t care about the haters. He said he saw a lot of Dab7s and that he said that he only cares about his fans.
“They tell me to stop dabbing. I’ll never stop. They tell me to stop whip. I’ll ever stop” -BamBam FlyinDallas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No lie, it felt like a motivational speaker. We were all in there agreeing. Dabbing on command.
Jackson and BamBam become the unofficial MCs of the concert. There was really no need for a translator. She only spoke a few times when the members would put JB on the spot to speak English. The first time she spoke Jackson freaked out and was like “Who’s talking?” while glancing around. It was hilarious.
Junior was killing us. He was giving all sorts of smoldering looks. He needed to stop.
JB and Junior were killing it with the vocals. Seriously. I can’t.
Yugyeom dancing during WOLO was everything.
Mark was going hard in his raps.
I am glad that they mentioned Youngjae numerous times. They had us chant his name and Junior even did an introduction for him. Then at the end when they did there G-O-T 7 Junior took a fans Youngjae sign and held it so he was still part of it. It was just super sweet to see how much they care about their members.
Not only that but they would go off on these tangents were they would volunteer each other to beatbox, sexy dance, and sing. They would bicker back and forth. The member interaction on stage just looked so comfortable(?) and effortless. Got7 were just really fun and entertaining to watch on stage.
At one point after having Junior did a sexy dance BamBam said we can only dream about it if we are over 20. Jackson chimed in saying:
“If you are over 21 you can dream about its. If you are under 21 the exit is there.” -Jackson Wang FlyinDallas
Tumblr media
Then proceeded to point out the exit.
I never knew whether I should be laughing or crying from the overwhelming feeling of seeing Got7. Specifically BamBam.
Hi, my name is Briana and I am BamBam trash.
There I admit it. The unit stages were super fun to watch as well. Megan freaked over Markjin. She didn’t know what to do. She wasn’t ready. JB performing “1:31 am″ was beautiful.  You could tell he was sad he had to do it solo but they still left Youngjae’s spot set up. They never tried to fill his spot which I liked.
Our favorite song had to be “If you do” that is a freaking jam. It was so good live. Their dancing and vocals live exceed any expectation. Other songs that were on the setlist that we enjoyed were “I like you”,”Rewind”, and “See the light”.
The whole concert was just rad. If you are going be prepared to have an amazing time. Got7 puts on a phenomenal show. Trust me. If you have a chance to see them don’t hesitate to go. Sell all your belongings if you have to. Just go.
I mean y’all have to see the dab king and the official spokesperson for organic green tea live.
Tumblr media
It is legendary.
Side note; The Verizon Theater employees that direct traffic are mad rude. We got yelled at after the concert for crossing the street.
Lady, don’t kill my vibe.

hopeless wait?
Tumblr media
Let’s start this off by saying this is not a hate post against Yerin or JYP.
But the thing is: we need more Jimin.
It’s been years since we’ve had a 15& comeback. Like, actual years. “Love is Madness” couldn’t even be considered one; it was simply a single released that wasn’t promoted.
And with the (somewhat) recent news of Yerin’s solo comeback, I can’t help but feel discouraged. Don’t get me wrong, I love Yerin’s voice and she is incredibly talented; she deserves to be out there making music. But I’m also really bitter because I feel like Jimin hasn’t had the same opportunities.
Musically, that is.
When Jimin’s solo debut was announced, everyone was all “what about yerin??”
And we were basically told not to worry, as Yerin would have her debut later on in the year. So Jimin released “Hopeless Love,” which was honestly one of the best songs of the year. She had her “comeback stage” on kpop star, but it wasn’t actively promoted (and even then, at the time it felt like more people were commenting on how the dress concept was stolen rather than on her voice and the actual song). I understand the song is quite difficult to sing every morning on a music show, something Jimin has stated herself, but it would have been nice to have a little more. A few more songs, an actual album.
Yerin released a successful debut mini album. And now she’s releasing another one. Which is great, but I also want a Jimin album.
I’ve seen people argue that Jimin gets to do everything. She’s an ASC host. She is on ASC yes, but what does that have to do with her making music at this point? She is a host because she is likeable and outgoing. I’m not even going to get into the amount of rude comments people leave concerning her personality on the show, because that shouldn’t be even be a thing that happens.
she has BAMMIN tv. BAMMIN tv? You mean that v app with bambam that we haven’t had an episode of in a while? Again, what does that have to do with her music?
she got to debut first, it’s Yerin’s time to shine. She always gets to do shows and radio appearances. Once again, it’s because of her personality. And yes, Yerin deserves to show her talent, and she’s had her fair share of features on other artists’ tracks. But Jimin is also a musician, and Jimin should have that same opportunity. Just because she had her solo debut first doesn’t mean she deserves any less.
These are legit arguments that we’ve had.
I’m tired of JYP doing a shit job at promoting some of his artists. Because let’s face it, that is what’s happening. He has an incredible vocalist who can do great things, so just...why? I would have much rather preferred a jimin/15& comeback than him having one of his own.
Now, I don’t know what JYP is planning. I don’t know what’s in store. They could be planning her solo album as we speak. But the fact remains that Jamie should have had more chances. And it doesn’t make me, or anyone else, less impatient.
At this point, it feels like 15& isn’t even together anymore. “Confession Song” was originally written for them, and yet it got passed on to got7 (don’t get me wrong, I love got7). That’s disappointing. We hardly even see much of Yerin and the girls rarely interact. Instead of leaving fans in this state of limbo, they should either release news on an album or let us know that it’s over.
I need more than just Jimin’s short covers posted on M.O.L.A’s soundcloud. I love that she is making music with her friends (great music too, go listen, her cover of dangerous woman is everything), but I want to see her out there getting more recognition for her talent. She is more than just variety. I think she’s more than proved that, especially with her work on “My Way.”
I look forward to seeing fancams of her at JYP Nation’s concert and of course I will continue to support her as I play “hopeless love” on repeat for what will probably be the rest of my life (thanks jyp).
Maybe I’m just a bitter fan who believes she deserves all the love, but honestly JYP, just give Your Girl Jamie a damn album already.

Monster double standard
I’m sorry but we must call bullshit when we smell it. This may offend people but this blog is based off of us ranting and being real.
The whole Exo thing is pissing me off.
Let me start off by saying that I hate how easily plagiarism claims are thrown around in the Kpop community. Like y’all really know anything about music production. Show me your credentials then go in. Till then go back to your anonymous bs posts.
Also I hate the “OH MY GOD they totally copied this group.” Seriously, stop.
What I hate more than anything is double standards and hypocrites. Nothing makes me rage more.
So when BTS had their comebacks they were immediately targeted and accused of copying/plagiarism. People even started the whole “plagiarism boys” hashtag.
They were accused of copying Big Bang with using the same tunnel (that sounds ridiculous even writing it out) and for having the same hair colors.
Then the whole Dead Leaves issue. Please look into sampling/purchasing beats and how this actually works before you try to come for them.
Where is the double standard?
The fact that within a few hours of BTS releasing their album/mvs there were already smear campaigns on social media Not to mention it got to the point where kpop news sites were writing about.
Today I have yet to see any claims about Exo being accused. Besides the one track They Never Know. No one has made ridiculous claims when they clearly can be made.
Looking through that tag on tumblr so many fans are like
“Please this is exo’s day.”
“They didn’t copy it’s sampling.
“Bts wishes Exo would copy”
“Armies are ridiculous. Stop” Followed by a ridiculous amount of emojis.
“Don’t start shit.”
The last one is the best because then you look at the tags and it is full of insults towards BTS.
So people can’t do the same thing that was done on their group comeback day?
Okay, so the Monster mv actually reminded me of quite a few but just so people can’t say I am making ridiculous claims let’s us the most exact one.
Monsta X’s most recent comeback with “All in”.
Y’all know the MVs seem similar. The plot is the same. The whole rebelling against a higher power. Both songs are talking about a girl. The mvs concepts were similar.
So why isn’t there an uproar of them copying Monsta X?
That my friend is a double standard.
Don’t believe me? Here are some stills comparing the two.
Tumblr media
Even looking at these stills in an album format, you can’t even tell that these are from 2 different videos.
Look I don’t like doing this but I feel like this has to be addressed at how messed up the double standard is.  I don’t think it is fair that people drag other groups names through the mud but when people try to say “Hey you know the same can be said for your group.” they get so outraged.
I also hear a similarity in beats when it comes to Day6′s song “Blood” and Exo’s “Lucky One”. Especially in the intro.
Where are the plagiarism claims?
Not to mention that BOTH Lucky One and Monster are super similar to BTS’s N.O.
Tumblr media
Yeah, I said it.
Look my point is that the double standards have to stop. You can’t enforce it when it is useful to you and tear other people done.
This isn’t me stating that I hate Exo. I actually think Monster is a catchy song. I even went to their concert. This is just me addressing the bs that has been happening lately.
Tumblr media
The irony isn’t lost to me when I see Exo-L’s telling other fandoms to chill.

i agree w u fosho that kpop (and music these days as a whole) is very hard to be 100% original. but i disagree with the double standard, bc as i watched the monster mv and looked at the comments i also saw plenty of "exo copied bts", "exo copied ____". you noticed when bts got hate for plagiarism probably because youre more of their fan so you focus more on things related to them. i love bts and i love exo, and i just wish everyone stopped bringing other groups down and just enjoyed music :(
My double standard comment was more to the fact that sure people might have commented but I have yet to see a social media slander campaign. There was an actual hashtag that was started towards bts. It got so huge that kpop news sites actually wrote about. You never see an article or hate campaign for exo go that big. It also happens within the first 2 hours of bts releasing anything. You see a flood of accusations.  Just my opinion. I respect yours as well.

Burgers?
Tumblr media
Okay, so maybe some fans are taking it too far but I guess we should take into consideration this was the first thing Jungkook was doing alone. We were all a bit hesitant and excited.
I am just going to be honest I have no idea what the show premise is about. I only know 4 of the people on it. When I saw Jo Seho was going to be a cast member I was kind of like meh.
I don’t really care for his humour or character. I liked him on roommate then it got to a point where he annoyed me. His jokes were extremely repetitive.
I knew Kim Minsuk because of the few drama rolls that he had been in “Shut Up Flower Boy Band” and “Hi School Love on”. I am excited that he is gaining recognition.
Then I was familiar with the other comedian Byungjae who I do find funny. They should’ve just had him.
It fans are to be upset about the whole food incident. I get that.
I agree that was rude. He brings them food and I get them maybe not wanting to eat on screen but there was no reason for them to basically shove the food back in his face.  I am not sure if it was maybe a cultural difference in humour but, if i did that to someone my mom would’ve whooped my ass.
That is extremely rude. Especially when you consider that this is his first experience on his own for a variety type show. He is out of his element. He seemed really enthusiastic when he showed up but it quickly died down. He was looked so uncomfortable every time they brought up his fans.
That would make anyone uncomfortable. To be put on the spot like that.
I also feel that he wouldn’t of cared if he was a team leader had he not felt so awkward. He felt super uncomfortable with all the comments about his popularity so I am pretty sure that is why he was asking fans not to vote for him.
Another thing I want to address is the whole fairness thing with voting. Jungkook is always going to be an advantage. He is the most well known member. Then when you take into consideration what  platform they are using you find an immediate flaw in the set up. BTS is one of the most popular groups on the V app. This puts the rest of members at a disadvantage. V app is mainly Kpop groups. All the other members are not really exposed on that platform. Clearly the production staff knew this but wanted it to be this way to attract views.
When you think about it how popular would it be if Jungkook wasn’t on it? The most popular member would be Kim Minsuk or Jo Seho who I know a lot of people can’t stand. He talks over people and is focused on being the center. Even with a great comedian like Byungjae the show probably would not have been too successful.
It is kind of annoying some members keep saying it isn't fair. It was never set up to be fair. They should've looked into the V broadcasting system more. If they did they would know that hearts are endless. They are free and they recharge. No fan is going to stop after one.
Now I am not saying that the members are awful people and deserve bad things. That is taking it too far but I will say some of them behaved rude. They should remember that Kpop fans are extremely protective.
I am sad because I was looking forward to Jungkook’s first solo variety work. I was worried just because I know that they can seem super quiet and shy when they aren’t with other members. I just felt awful because he looked so uncomfortable.  Then it just seems like a huge mess which is probably going to turn BTS off of doing variety and make Armys look bad.
Which will make Jungkook feel guilty.
It’s just seems like this didn’t work out. I feel like this show is going to end badly.
Tumblr media
Side note; did you see how much each burger was?
I would’ve been pissed if I had spent that money just for the food not to be eaten.

Review: Exo Exo’Luxion in Dallas
Tumblr media
This is going to be our honest review and thoughts on the entire thing.
First off, you should know that we don’t consider them a bias group. We just never have.
Second thing, we don’t consider ourselves Exo-L’s which probably doesn’t make sense to some of you considering how upset we were and the trouble we went through to go to this concert but we just don’t call ourselves Exo-L’s.
Last thing you should know is how crazy all this sounds considering we know a lot about Exo and know most, if not all their songs. I am not kidding when I say we know a lot either.
After hearing Kai would not be attending we were so upset. Honestly saying we were upset is an understatement. We even discussed not going and getting a refund. Let me say that the entire reason we even wanted to go to the concert was because of Sehun, Kai and Kyungsoo. Those are the members that we follow avidly. We keep up with them the most solo activities and appearances. They were the members we wanted to see. Not to say we don’t like the other members but these are our ships Sekai and Kaisoo.
When they announced Kai wouldn’t be going and it was their fault we were so angry and disappointed. We hoped it was a cruel joke. Obviously it wasn’t.
So going into this concert our expectations were low. I mean buried 10 feet underground low. We were expecting the concert to play out like the entire process had been going. We thought hot mess.
Surprisingly the entire thing was WAY better than we expected. We arrived at the venue around 4, mainly to get out merch. MMT like always had announced how that was going to work the day of concert. I thought the whole process would be frustrating and annoying. It went smoothly and without a hitch for me. The whole process took about 10 minutes. I went in with mentality that if any of the staff working there was rude to me I wasn’t going to hold my tongue. The girl made me laugh though because the entire time she kept on yelling “ THERE ARE 3 LINES! I AM NOT YELLING AT YOU! I AM JUST PROJECTING MY VOICE!!”. I think she knew most people attending were on a short fuse that day due to the whole Kai debacle. The only time I got a bit sassy was when she got my merch and was like “okay here you go, enjoy!” She had given me 2 posters and 2 shirts when I had ordered 3 posters 2 Kai and 1 Lay. I was like “ I ordered 2 of Kai.” She checked my receipt again and apologized “ Oh right, you did. Sorry. Here you go” and gave me my poster. An honest mistake but in my head I couldn't help but think “yeah, you better apologize and give me my damn poster.” I was in a mood, So we decide against lining up considering the line wrapped around the building and it was still early. We sat on the steps in front of the venue and waited. I want to add that the only thing that sucked about the merch was the fact that they didn’t have bags so you were basically left to juggle your merch in your hands. Holding 3 posters and a light stick is hard. So that was annoying.
We were hungry and just wanted the doors to open to get food. We weren’t super excited we were just thinking about food. While waiting for doors to open we talked to people and made a friend. The entire process took forever even though we were pretty close to the doors. They waited until pit people were halfway in before letting us in. The pit thing took forever. Since they had lined up by number. It was annoying because people were pushing. What is point for our line to push when it’s assigned seating?
Come on people. Your seat isn’t going anywhere.
Okay the thing that really pissed me off was as we were standing in line to be let in by security. There was a message playing over the intercom. The rules of what was allowed and stuff like that. Whatever, The usual.
What pissed us off was the fact that the thing kept playing over and over again with one message that pissed us the fuck off
“Due to unforeseen circumstances Exo member Kai will not be attending.”
Played a million times then they had these printed out posters all on the doors saying the exact same thing.Like damn y’all keep twisting that knife in my back, here’s some salt. Sprinkle that in to.
“Unforeseen circumstances”, my ass. Yeah, who knew you needed a visa to perform.
It just seemed rude. We all knew he wasn’t going to be there quit rubbing it in.
The other thing that seemed to annoy people was MMT would announce something then within a few hours they would change the rule. Merch pickup changed. Entrance time. Bag sizes that were allowed changed. It was a mess for some people.
Getting through security was pretty easy except I had a hard time balancing my 3 posters and light stick while trying to open my purse and drop anything.
Once we were officially in we said bye to our new friend and set off to buy concessions. Which were expensive.  A bottle of water was 4 dollars. That surprised us since we had attended the same venue for BTS and waters were cheaper. On top of that they had this policy that I had never dealt with before, They didn't let you keep the caps to the water. Also inconvenient because the venue seats did have a cup holder but they were located on the seat in front of you towards the bottom. Basically anyone passing by would hit it and spill water. We bought some pretzels that sucked ass. They were so bland. Like soggy cardboard but we ate them since we were hungry.
The staff was nice though. The security, concession workers. and the people that helped you find your seats.
Our excitement didn’t really hit till we got to our seats.
Section 407. Row O. Seats 7&8.
Right in the middle. Our seats were great. Way better than we expected. We thought we were in the second to last row.
We had been hesitant to get excited mainly because we didn’t want to be disappointed again. The way things had been looking we were expecting the worst. Much to our surprise though the show was great. Of course were still upset about Kai not being there but we enjoyed ourselves.
Sehun killed it during Playboy. he danced by himself and it was amazing. We were going crazy. We couldn’t keep our eyes off him. Kyungsoo killed us with his voice. It was everything. I would go crazy everytime Kai would show up on screen. The effect he has on me in video form is ridiculous.
Sehun covered Kai’s part in Call me baby. It amazing. If anyone should cover Kai it has to be Sehun.
Although we could have lived without the Christmas song we enjoyed the concert. It was great.
The graphics they had were absolutely beautiful and the VCRs’ were adorable. We died.
Tumblr media
Them speaking English was adorable. D.O. saying he was hungry and was surprised that we knew the lyrics. *sigh* He was adorable. The first thing I thought when he said that was “D.O. just don’t eat the pretzels here!” Seriously though, they were awful(the pretzels.)
At the end Sehun talked for 2 minutes straight about Chris Brown. It was great. Chen missed his line for “Sing for you” the look the members gave him was priceless. Suho speaking English was great and he said they would come back to Dallas with Lay and Kai (we are holding you to that, Suho.) Xiumin was also so cute. He is a great performer. We were surprised at how great he is. Chanyeol straight up turned into a DJ at on point. I felt like I was at a rave. I was sad we didn’t get to see El Dorado live but we got MAMA. At least we saw “Unfair” which was the last song they performed for us. Sehun and his ommayas. S’cute!!!
I am not trying to be rude but the translator they had was awful. I am not sure  what happened but she was translating the bare minimum. So we had to pay extra attention when they spoke. I understood Exo more than I understood her. It was like using google translate. The same thing happened at the Infinite concert. Please, get better translators that are fluent in both languages.
The one downside to our seats were sometimes the strobe lights were a bit much and would shine at us and we wouldn’t be able to see.
Besides that we had a great time. We basically lost our voices the next day from all the screaming. Totally worth it.
I can’t really describe what we dealt afterwards. It was nothing like BTS. After this we were like wow that was good. It felt like actual celebrities?
With BTS we cried. It was just a different experience. Maybe because we relate to BTS and we feel like they know what we are going through. But Exo was like a celebrity experience.
To be honest that probably doesn’t make sense but it’s the only way I can word it.
Also I would like to state there were no security by us at all. I filmed and had no problems. The complete opposite of BTS were a flashlight was shined in my face and got stepped on by security because the girl a few seats down kept getting caught recording. So that was cool.                                                          I am not sure if that was our “compensation” for no Kai but if it was it wasn’t enough. Sure it was cool but I would've rather had Kai there than be allowed to record and take photos on my phone.
Overall I am glad we went. Disappointed that Kai wasn’t there but we hope they come back.
We were sad when we heard that he had gotten his visa stuff figured out. It sucks that we are the only ones that missed out. It’s unfair we don’t get to see him. I am sad. We are sad.
It sucks that our experience was ruined because of neglect on attention by MMT.
I guess unless you had to deal with it you won’t really understand.
All photos were taken by me.

Kai-less in Dallas
Tumblr media
Y’all don’t even know the morning we have been having. We are so pissed. In cas you guys didn’t know Megan and I are going to Exo’s concert in Dallas in 2 days time. We planned this trip and went all out. I booked a plane ticket before I even had a concert ticket, bought us official light sticks, and tour merch. We were looking forward to our ship.  Sekai.
Tumblr media
We are shit out of luck because due to MyMusicTaste; Kai will not be attending the concert. They dropped the ball and due to whatever reason his visa isn’t ready. They straight up said it was their fault.
They apologized. Offered refunds.
Um, yeah but, no.
We paid for a concert with 8 members not 7. Your apology means nothing it fixes nothing. Are you going to refund me my plane ticket? Merch? No.
People saying we should be grateful that they are even coming. Sure it’s great Exo is coming but I am not going to be kissing MMT ass when they fucked up my entire experience.
Bitch, grateful? This isn’t free. They didn’t do it out of the kindness of their heart. They did it for the coins. Laughing all the way to the bank with all the money they made. I paid for my ticket, merch, and travel expenses.
Tumblr media
If anything MMT should be thankful that and empathetic to us fans. We are the reason they have jobs. We are the demand to their supply. For them to have such little disregard for us is disgusting. They have no communication with their customers. They just dropped this bomb on us 9 hours ago and haven’t followed up with anything.
I am so disgusted with how overseas Kpop fans are treated like garbage. I am tired of it.
Obviously we are still going because it’s too late to do anything about it.
Not only that but I am now being mocked by my social media accounts because of this damn concert.
Facebook: Notification “Event Reminder”

Instagram: Sponsered MyMusicTaste

Rant on Beefy(bfree)
Seriously Bfree?
Tumblr media
My first thought when I saw the article wasn’t “Finally he admits he was wrong” it was pure anger. I was infuriated. First of all how is now a good time to address a 2 year old feud? Especially one where you want to “apologize”. The fact that he isn’t really sorry is so evident. It’s an insult. The fact that he says that everyone's allowed their opinion. Using that as an underlying excuse and that he crossed the line. I am someone who strongly believes in having your own thoughts and definitely opinions on something. I was angered at the fact he was bullying them and being flat out rude. I don’t care if it’s a cultural; difference but his action were disgusting. He was rude, he wasn’t sharing his opinion. He was strutting around like a fucking peacock. Saying what “real” hip hop is. He had no room to judge them. Rap Monster flat out asked him if he had listened to their music and he said no. How can you form an opinion on something you know nothing about? All he knew about them was that they were in idol group. As far as he was concerned that was the only thing that mattered. He was belittling them because he knew that they couldn’t say anything. Also what gives him the right to decide what is hip hop and what isn't. So as long as you are underground you are real hip hop? If that is the standard they are going by then any American rapper can easily turn around and say what they do isn't real rapping since they aren’t American. That seems to be the standard they set for judging. The fact that he says that hip hop is more that a music genre. Does he ever understand what he is saying? That they are simply making music with rap in it? He hadn’t even bothered to listen to any of their music. I guess it would of made sense if it was a diss battle but it wasn’t. It was a radio show where they were discussing music. As far as I am concerned it can’t even be classified as an interview, it was a roast. The entire time he was making fun of them by mispronouncing their name and commenting on the fact that they wear makeup. Saying that they were doing it temporarily for money. Disregarding the fact that they stated all they really wanted was to make music and have share it with people. He basically mocked Suga’s struggles while making music. If they really were just in it for the money they would of gone with an easier image to pitch to the Korean public. Definitely not a Kpop group that does American type Hip hop. Saying that everyone has gone through those struggles and that it is all about endurance. Endurance is key and not falling into the temptation. How exactly did they fall into temptation? Because they didn’t let their pride stop them from being able to do what they really wanted?  Doesn’t that just prove how passionate they are about creating music? They have to realize holding onto their underground status isn’t everything. Being underground can only take you so far. Honestly how many “underground” Korean rappers are featured on idol or mainstream tracks? Let’s just sit on that thought for a minute.
Can we please take a moment to look at SMTM? The fact that these underground artists state that they had to stop doing music because they got married, had kids, or became the main provider for their family. You need an income for life. You can’t be living off of random jobs here and there, There comes a point where you really have to wake up and realize: Life doesn’t wait  for your dreams to come true.
Not only that but the whole interview was so ridiculous. How sexist can you get? Saying hip hop has a macho image. Yeah, real macho sitting there making fun of teenagers because they wear stage makeup. What about all the female rappers out there? Stuff like that pisses me off. I know I should try and understand that it is a different culture but it drives me crazy. How about the use of the word gay?
Wearing makeup doesn’t make you gay. Just like having a set of balls doesn’t make you a real man.
When they question them on the use of Kanye’s song…. Do they not  know the term sampling?
Oh but you’re a rapper right? Real Hip Hop.
His series of tweets are a joke. A half ass passive aggressive “apology”. They are the phoniest tweets to ever surface. A sad attempt to stay relevant. At this point he is desperately clinging on to BTS’s tailcoats. My point is made by the simple fact that he is releasing this when BTS is on the rise.
Who knows maybe he wants a feature on Suga’s mixtape or for RM to put in a good word with Warren G?
His insincerity and immaturity really shine through in his replies. It is really easy to claim you know you are wrong and have matured but it’s a completely different to thing to actually show it. When asked by people on twitter why he didn’t apologize directly all he said was he was going to followed by the f bomb and addressing the person as bitch. He acts like a 13 year old preteen that has just learned how to cuss. Telling everyone to fuck off and suck his dick.
This guy is so far up his own ass... going as far as saying his album is going to break boundaries and fix major problems. Too bad it can’t fix ignorance.
Damn, maybe next time Beefy.

Megan’s Top Songs of 2015
Tumblr media
1. “I Need U” and “Run” BTS - I’m cheating and putting these two together. How can I not? It’s no secret that I am entirely Bangtan biased. But they seriously killed it this year. I can’t even begin to explain how much I love these songs. And how much I’ve listened to them. Whenever I listen to “I Need U,” I think of seeing it live at TRB and the feeling I got when they played it after the show was over and I was leaving the venue. Chills. And the verses in “Run” are so incredible. Overall, It truly was Bangtan’s year and I couldn’t be more happy about it.
2. “1 VERSE” J-hope - You guys don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this. Hobi is my ultimate bias, so of course this affected me in a big, big way. Call me overly emotional, but I cried when I first heard this. That's not even an exaggeration. There were actual tears. We’ve never really gotten solo j-hope before, that wasn’t a dance practice or performance anyway, and it honestly blew me away. Honestly, I think j-hope is really unique as a rapper and it shows here. You could see how stressed he was in the vlog where he discussed his mixtape. And the fact that he’s finally in a place where he can release the stuff he’s been working so long on makes me so incredibly happy.
3. “Don't Be Shy” Primary (ft. Choa and Iron) - this song. THIS SONG. honestly, this song is so ridiculously catchy. I had it on repeat for months. Choa's vocals are really what sold me. She has an incredible voice; it’s so smooth here. And the music video? Weird with a touch of creepy. My favorite kind of music video.
4. “Mommae” Jay Park ft. Ugly Duck - I am going to have this track on repeat for the rest of my life. You guys don't understand. What is it about jay? Why are his songs so catchy? I honestly don't even care what they're about, it's all just so catchy.
5. “If You Do” Got7 - This group is my number two. I love them, but I’ve never enjoyed a comeback as much as this one. “Just Right” was cute and catchy, but this song was basically burned into my brain. I used to listen to it on the bus on my way to work and then on the way back. And during every break. And at night. And literally every waking moment of my life. The ANGST.
6. “Playboy” Exo - Yo jonghyun, who gave you the right???? Why would you do this to me?? To make something like this, and then have these boys sing/perform it. To be honest, this whole album was fire. I’ve always liked Exo, but I’ve never really LIKED them until this release. I love “Call Me Baby” as well, but out of all the songs on Exodus, this one was definitely my fave. And the choreo....Sehun...Kai... kill me.
7. “Mansae” Seventeen - I was perfectly fine not checking out Seventeen. And then Briana was sucked into the diamond life, which meant I was also sucked into the diamond life. It was all “hey, this Vernon kid is adorable” and then it led to “Crap.. am I scoups biased?” All of their songs are crazy good, but I enjoyed “Mansae” the most this year. And that choreography basically just punches you in the face. I love it.
8. “Gondry” Hyukoh - If you’re feeling stressed out, kick back with a huge comfy blanket, a mug of tea, and just listen to this. Just do it. Let Hyuk’s voice soothe your soul. Watch the music video. Relax. And then when you’re done, you can watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and drown in your emotions. Repeat the process for ultimate stress relieving experience. (the primary version with lim kim is also great, just saying)
9. “Hopeless Love” Park Jimin - This track is amazing. I’m still bitter we didn’t get a full solo album here. But that doesn’t stop me from belting out this song. I haven’t listened to Yerin’s album yet, but I’m sure it’s great as well. I just know that I played this sooo many times this year. Jimin’s vocals are unreal.
10. “Supernova” CNBLUE - I love love love cnblue. They are the whole reason I’m here. For those of you who don’t know, they released an entire Japanese album, as well as a Korean album, this year. At pretty much the same time. I’ve always prefered their Japanese music (it’s heavier, more of a rock sound) and “Supernova” just makes me love it even more. Those guitar riffs mixed with that synthesizer. It’s an addicting sound.
11. “Move” BTS - This song is very, very dear to me. I’ve always related to Bangtan. They’re the same age as me, and they’re going through a lot of the same things, so it’s hard not to. But this song in particular made me cry when I first saw the lyrics. As someone in their early 20s who has never lived in one place longer than two and a half years, I can relate to the idea of “moving on” quite well. And HOBI. His part in this song kills me. So good.
12. “Rush” Rap Monster ft. Krizz Kaliko - I am never going to get over this mixtape. I was so proud when it was released. And to have a collab like this?? Rapmon killed the English rap. Definitely my favorite track. It was basically all I listened to until bangtan’s album came out.
13.  “Congratulations” Day6 - BANDS. i love bands. So naturally I was excited when this was released. I hadn’t really been following the group beforehand, like everyone else, but I know I’ll definitely be listening to them for a long time. Their debut album is so good and I can’t wait for more. It was hard to choose between this and “Out of my Mind.”
14.  “Neverland” Ilhoon, Peniel, Minhyuk (BTOB) ft. G.NA. - You’re probably surprised I didn’t go with one of the ballads, right?? Trust me, BTOB killed it this year and I loved the ballads, but we’re going with my most played tracks here and this was it. I love BTOB’s rap line. And I love it even more when G.NA features on their tracks. I’m going to end this here, otherwise I’ll never stop talking about this.
15. “Coma '07” Cheetah - I, I, I, I’m never goin’ downnnn. So, I’ll be honest here. I haven’t actually watched any season of Unpretty Rapstar all the way through. I’ve basically just been watching clips of each performance because I’ve been slacking. Therefore, I don’t really care about anything that happened behind the scenes on the show or who’s a “better rapper.” All I know is that this track is rad. The intense, honest lyrics mixed in with that eerie sound. How you can feel everything she went through. She killed it.
16. “Crazy” 4minute - Choreo??? Seriously one of my favorites I’ve ever seen from a girl group. And this is just too catchy. It’s honestly impossible not to like this. 17. “Fear” Mino Ft. Taeyang - Another show I haven’t watched all the way through, sue me. I had this song on repeat for weeks though, after watching the video for the performance. I don’t even know what else to say about this. I just enjoy it.
18. “One Fine Day” Yonghwa - Yong killin’ me with the ballads. Being the first cnblue member to go solo, he did really well. I loved this entire album. Yonghwa is probably my favorite vocalists, and since he’s normally screaming with energy on stage (don’t get me wrong, i love it), it was really nice to see him do something like this. Even if he is kind of awkward without his guitar. Jonghyun’s solo debut next please!
19. “Roll Deep” Hyuna ft. Ilhoon - I love Hyuna. Her stage presence is incredible, and she’s extremely hardworking. Also, ILHOOOOOON. I love Ilhoon so much (he’s my btob bias), and his raps are always on point. Honestly, he does not get enough credit. Even if he did embarrass me with those finger tats. It’s okay, hoon, you still killed me with this feature. And Hyuna killed me with that catchy hook.
20. “I”m Ok” Eric Nam - You’re not okay, Eric. You’re not. Just stop. Anyway, Eric sounds incredible in this. As usual. I think we get so caught up watching him as a host/interviewer we forget that he’s a musician first and foremost. And an amazing one at that. I hope 2016 brings more Eric comebacks. He deserves it.
Honorable Mentions
“Dead Leaves” - BTS
“Run Away” - Royal Pirates
“Hide and Seek” - CNBLUE
“I Keep Looking” - GOT7
“Sorry, I’m Busy” - Infinite H ft. Swings, Champagne
“Like OOH-AHH” - Twice
“Heartbreak” - N.Flying (ahhh I should’ve included this in my top 20...)
“Odd Eye” - SHINee
And my Top Album of the year...
Tumblr media
is the exact same as Briana’s. Shocking, I know. Bangtan is amazing. That’s all there is to it.
Hopefully there will be some great comeback in 2016. 2015 was full of some amazing stuff, and it was my first full year of kpop (and other genres). What a year.

Briana’s Top Songs of 2015
Tumblr media
Briana’s Top Songs of 2015
“I Need U” BTS It’s no lie that BTS is my bias group. This song though...I never get tired of it. I probably listen to it at least once a day. Anytime i have music playing this song is bound to play at least once. The choreo is amazing as is most of their choreo. Also this was the song that spawned endless theories as to what the MV actually means. To top it off it was also their first win. Which was way overdue in my opinion. I also went to TRB and I died, This song. Just thinking about it gets my heart rate up.
“Run” BTS  Hahahahaha I know you must be so shocked but this song is equally amazing. I mean it's BTS.
“You Know” Jay Park FT. Okasian I have dabbled a bit in his music(Metronome) I just never followed him closely but man with his “Worldwide” album he basically ruined me. Jay is life. November will forever be my Jay month. His songs are ridiculously catchy. They get stuck in my head. He is doing American music in the Korean music scene but I actually enjoy it. He is so amazing. We just became obsessed with him.
“Bang Bang Bang” Big Bang Of course like most kpop fans I was dying for a Big Bang comeback and they came back with a vengeance. They tore up the kpop scene. Dominated as usual. But this is my favorite track. Ugh it gets me so damn pumped. I saw it live in October and it was shdgfjdsnjddhfiokf no words.
“If You Do” Got7   Hands down my favorite Got7 comeback to date. This song shows a more mature side to them. I loved this concept. It suited all the members so well. But let's be honest people this concept belonged to BamBam. For once I didn’t have any complaints for their stage outfits. The styling has gotten better.
“Pretty” Infinite H  Probably one of my favorite subunits in kpop. Any song they release as a single is catchy as hell. It was a release from earlier in the year but I was more than ready for their comeback. I was getting so impatient. They definitely delivered. Dongwoo and Hoya just gave me life when this song came out. The video was so cute to me. It was just a really good comeback and the album was ace.
“Bad”  Infinite I’M BETTING ON YOU~ I bet on Infinite to make another great song and they did. Infinite was the group that got me in kpop. Definitely a different sound to what I am used to but I still really enjoyed it.
“Hopeless Love” Park Jimin  She doesn’t get enough recognition. She probably one of the best vocalist on the kpop scene but due to JYP’s sucky marketing she is lover looked too often. I am hoping for a 15& comeback this coming year. Part of me wishes she would've signed to YG for the simple fact that she would be more recognized. Come on JYP, giver her a full length album. This song was amazing. it was on repeat.
“Adore U” Seventeen Let me make this clear: I HAD NO INTENTION OF FOLLOWING ANY ROOKIE GROUPS. I always think it over before getting into a new group for the simple fact that it gets expensive buying albums. Well I was dragged into the diamond life. Seriously Seventeen dominated for me in the rookie category this year. I had only planned to follow IKON for the simple fact that I had been following them for the past 2 years. I failed miserably at that. I love everything about this group.
“Rush.” RM ft. Krizz Kaliko His mixtape was everything I was hoping it would be. I just loved the tone of this song. It was chill but still had that RM intensity. It was a great balance. The collab was great. This is like one of my goto songs in the car. It's a great road trip song. I just love this song. I am cheating here and adding “P.D.D.” to this spot too because they go hand in hand for me. My favorite tracks of his mixtape. I am anxiously awaiting AgusD’s.
“Crazy” 4Minute This video song was my main girl group song of the year. I loved everything about it, Especially the choreo. I became obsessed with watching the video. Nonstop.
“Q&A” Seventeen ft. Ailee When this MV dropped i immediately watched it. The video itself is pretty basic. Lots of cutesy, adorable boys. I just loved the entire tone of this song. I really liked the flow of the raps.
“Converse High” BTS Honestly speaking if we are going off plays this should probably be higher on the list because I replayed this was too often. Suga’s part in this just kills me. He kills me. My mom even chose this as her favorite.
“Mommae Remix” Jay Park ft. a lot of people I love this version. This song is catchy as hell. He just had a knack for putting out music with addictive beats and catchy lyrics. I prefer the remix just because I enjoy the different rappers featured on it. This version doesn’t include Jay’s rap though…
“Call Me Baby” Exo This has got to be my favorite concept for Exo. The overall album was pretty good. I would say I definitely became a bigger Exo fan this year. With their mini drama series that I absolutely loved. The only thing that had me like “WTF” was that football uniform for the repackage
“Love Song” Miss A I seriously fell in love with song. The “Put it in a Love Song” part is my favorite. As you can probably tell I hardly follow girl groups. There are a few exceptions of course this song was one that I would play in the morning while I was getting ready for school and it always put me in a good mood. I love the beat. It starts slow then builds up. The piano in it.
“My Way” M.O.L.A. To be honest I am not sure what you would classify this as but it’s a trio made up of Jimin, Seungyoun(UNIQ), & Nathan. They collabed and dropped this sick song. There was just something about it that pulled me in. I hope they release more stuff. I know they dropped something for Halloween but I need more.
“Okey Dokey” Mino & Zico This song is just fun. I love SMTM so this quickly became my jam. It kind of has a kiddish(?) sound to it. I can’t really explain it. I was just really enjoying the teamwork they had.
“4Walls” FX This song just got to me. I love the beat it’s really disco-ey. i also really loved the choreo. I personally enjoyed it more than their last comeback RedLight. The stage outfits for this were horrendous though. Straight ugly. Okay some people might hate me for saying this but I didn’t mind when Sulli left the group. This isn’t me bashing her but she hadn’t even been actively promoting as an FX member. It didn’t effect the sound at all. When I listened to the track I didn’t feel like there was a voice missing. I liked the distribution of parts.
“FM’ Crayon Pop It sounds like a soundtrack to a game. It’s super catchy (dance moves though) and everything flows and fits well together. I just really liked the whole concept. Plus my brother is a huge fan boy so I heard this song plenty of times.
Honorable Mentions: -”Beautiful Liar” Vixx LR
- “View” Shinee
- “Maze” Vixx
-”뱁새 (BAEPSAE)”  BTS
-”Rhythm TA” IKON
-”Roll Deep” Hyuna ft, Ilhoon
- “이사 (Move)” BTS
- “JamJam” Seventeen
-” If  you” Big Bang
and finally... Top Album of the Year
Tumblr media
 “화양연화(TMBMIL) pt. 1&2″ 방탄소년단(BTS)
Yes, this is my top album of the year. I you were expecting anything else you are crazy. Together they form one beautiful album. There are no words to describe how much I loved these albums. The albums speak for themselves really. This was the year of Bangtan for me. I have been following them since debut and to see how far they have come make me so proud. I will always be an A.R.M.Y.
Tumblr media
If I am being honest this list would of been all BTS. I am so biased towards them. It’s more than that though. Their music just speaks to me. I can relate to most of their songs. I think it’s because I am around the same age as some of the members. I get what they are talking about because I have gone through some of the experiences/feelings they base some of their songs off of.
All these songs had me like:
Tumblr media
This year was filled pf Kpop jams. I can’t wait to see what next year brings. I hope more amazing tracks from all these groups/artists. Also I seriously am praying Suga drops his mixtape soon. He has left us hanging long enough. He can drop it after they finish promotions and he rests up.
(I don’t own any of these photos.)
