Shipping and fandom in general have been around much longer, so you can stop acting like “this is the way it has always been uwu” right the fuck now.

Until relatively recently, most fans I’ve known have been perfectly okay with their ships never being canon. I, personally, would be actively offended if certain ships of mine became canon. That is not why I ship them. What I want from canon and what I want from fandom are often entirely different things that only intersect on the margins.That is why fanworks are called “transformative” ffs.

So, I’ve been writing some chapters for the story of Alker, but there’s an important decision I have to make.

The story will revolve around Mutig, our nonbinary protagonist. The starters Hansel and Gretel receive will be dependent on Mutig’s decision. Before I get up and running again, I need to set out some details.

Without further ado, I’d like you guys to vote on which starter will be Mutig’s partner.

ok but also–that’s two seasons now Keith was prepared to take up a suicide mission and nearly died in an explosion. I really do not like where that’s going

 I mean, I’m not saying they’re implying they’d ever kill off Keith that way, but it’s not a pattern that makes me particularly comfortable. He’s someone who would throw away his life if it meant saving the people he cared about or contributed to a cause. He’s someone committed to his duty first and never shows concern over his own self-preservation. Knowledge or death, right? 

Also, Keith was shown setting off explosives in his very first scene. I’d be really fucking heartbroken if they had him “go out with a bang” too, but like–I’m really nervous. Self-sacrifice seems to be a trait many galra carry, and it really hurts to see how Keith feels the same even when he looks absolutely terrified and squeezes his eyes shut before the crash so he doesn’t have to watch. He looks so young and vulnerable and I really hope he knows how much his life matters.

It really sucks about what happened between Lotor and his generals. When I thought that Lotor might ally himself with Voltron in the future, I thought he'd have his generals behind him, but this situation does make more sense.

The entire Galra empire is after him and his own generals betrayed him (understandably). He's alone. The only ones he can turn to is Voltron if he wants to survive.

I just really hope he doesn't turn on them to do whatever operation he was planning on doing with his ships and stuff and he can work together with him. (I would also like to know what exactly his plan was/is).
