daily practice ⋆·˚ ༘ *
❃゜・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃
the act of daily practice if often very misunderstood. a daily practice does not mean to do spells and rituals every single day in order to be a witch. it is not necessary for a daily practice to be huge or something specifically special.
you may even find yourself so distant from your craft that you put it on pause for weeks, yeah even months. does this make you any less of a witch? does this make you any less powerful? no, absolutely not!
we are human beings. it is absolutely normal to put certain things last, especially when there are more important things for you at the time. perhaps you can't practice witchcraft while studying for exams or during stressful and difficult times. or you just can't bring yourself to practice it for no specific reason at all.
just know that this is so damn normal. you should never feel bad about yourself for pausing your craft. there might be a reason for that you don't yet understand! so don't push yourself too hard.
a way to keep the magic in your life, even after pausing your craft for a while, is by incorporating daily practices into your everyday-routine, even when you're still practicing actively at the moment.
now what does daily practice mean?
daily practices are the things you do on a daily basis, regularly. we'll soon get to how some of these practices can look like.
it can help you to stay in touch with your craft, with your power, you spirit guides, deities, etc. even on days you're not drawn to do actual magical rituals—which is NORMAL and absolutely OKAY.
a few examples of daily practices:
1. stirring intentions in your drinks and foods
2. wearing crystals
3. enchant your jewelry and wear it
4. dress according to today's planet ruler
5. put spell oils on your body or clothes
6. use glamour magic (this can be as simple as drawing sigils or runes on your face with your moisturizer or makeup)
7. light an ancestor, deity or spirit guide candle (if you have one)
8. divination

does the universe test us? ⋆·˚ ༘ *
❃゜・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃
you may have heard something like "you want to manifest something, so the universe tests you to see if you are ready for the manifestation yet". of course everyone has their own belief, so i'm now just gonna tell you about my own personal belief towards this topic.
i do not belief that the universe tests us to see if we're "ready" or "worthy" of our manifestations. yet, many people experience things when manifesting, that they would call bad or negative. but think about it like that:
when you want to manifest a million dollars, you probably won't get this money by staying in your old life. you won't get it by partying every weekend with your friends, or arguing with your family in your home. or even when staying in the uncomfortable comfort of a relationship.
don't get me wrong, i'm not saying you'll loose your partner, your friends nor your family, unless they won't serve you positivity and love and nourishment for your mind and soul.
what i'm trying to say is, when you want to manifest something, you usually won't get it when there is not a single change in your life. or do you belief you'll just find a million dollars lying on the streets?
the universe doesn't test us, it pushes us to change our life to receive the things we're manifesting. you need change in order to receive your manifestations, and for some people this change seems bad at first.

- vervain for peace and purification
- mugwort for healing
- carrier oil (you can use every oil you have on hand, i used jojoba oil cause we love ourselves having smooth skin)

what you'll do:
- cleanse your space and yourself
- add all the ingredients into the container
remember to put your intention into each ingredient itself. tell it what to do!
- meditate with the spell, giving it your energy and visualizing your intention
- if you'd like, you could add a sigil or rune of choice to the container (bonus points if you use an orange pen)
- i like to let my oils sit and charge with crystals and tarot cards that match my intention (in this case i used the sun, the star and the wheel of fortune, as well as rose quartz, selenite, clear quartz, orange calcite and black obsidian)
- with my oils, i get the best effect when i grind all the ingredients up, but that's totally optional
- shake daily and keep in a cool (and if possible dark) place

Why do some call it 'magick'?
During your studies, you might stumbled across people pronouncing magic as 'magick' or 'magik'. If you wondered why some people like to call it that, this is the explanation to it, from the book: How to Study Magic: A Guide to History, Lore, and Building Your Own Practice by Sarah Lyons.
“So why do some people spell magic as magik, or even magick if you are feeling spicy? This spelling started up in the nineteenth century and gained popularity in the twentieth as a way to distinguish stage magic from spiritual practices. The idea is that stage magicians are tricksters and performers doing tasks that are actually impossible, while magicians in the magickal sense are using ritual to expand consciousness and use unknown natural laws to do what *seems* impossible, but is entirely possible through magick.
I’ll be honest: the whole thing is a little silly to me. It reminds me of the “we demand to be taken seriously” joke from Arrested Development. If you like it or think the distinction is one that needs to be made, then by all means use magick to your heart’s content. I personally trust that you understand I have absolutely no idea how to saw someone in half."

ways to keep your home cleansed and protected •*
always do your own research and cross reference!
Tumblr media
lemon
lemons are very purifying. cutting them up and putting all around your space, makes them cleanse the energies. i suggest leaving them on entrances such as doors and windows.
replace them once they shriveled up. when they start to mold, perform a proper cleansing, and if needed a banishing session.
onion
onions are powerful protection plants. put them on a plate and sprinkle protective herbs around (keep it simple here) or stick needles or screws through them. place them in the space you want protected (your altar, home entrance, etc.)
garlic
with it's protective and anti-theft properties, garlic is perfect for spiritual, as well as physical protection for your home. place some garlic in every room, mainly at windows and your front and back door, to keep unwanted energies, as well as unwanted people out.
replace once the garlic has gone bad or dried up.
black salt
you can buy black salt in many metaphysical shops, yet a witch's own, self made black salt is always stronger! simply use table or sea salt and mix it with incense ashes. you can expand the recipe with black pepper, charcoal, or other (in the best case black) ingredients with protective, warding, or banishing properties.
sprinkle the black salt on your windowsills and your doors, refresh them at least once a month, once a week would be even better. tip: if you're still in the broom closet, put it under the doormat in the front door or bury it on your property.

STOP DEGRADING YOURSELF AND YOUR POWER BY CALLING YOURSELF A BABYWITCH!
Tumblr media
the term 'babywitch' came to life when witchtok became popular, and a ton of people started practicing witchcraft after it became popular.
but the term 'babywitch', and the fact that SO many witches are calling themselves that, is ridiculous.
y'all are novice witches, beginner witches, or simply just witches. y'all ain't babies that need to get carried, constant guidance, and 24/7 getting looked after.
don't degrade what you are capable of. don't think you need a witchy mama to hold your hand through the path of the craft.
so please stop calling yourself a baby. cause you absolutely fucking aren't.
