Notice: MDZS and SVSSS Gotcha for Gaza

Hello all! I haven't seen any posts about this over here on Tumblr, so here goes. MDZSaction and SVSSSAction (on Twitter) are organizing charity drives for Care for Gaza, a non-profit providing food and other necessities to displaced families in Palestine. Participants can make donations and receive fanworks in exchange or take part in the event as creators (or both)!

Note re: donation tiers—both events follow the same pricing structure of $5USD for S/FW prompts and $8USD for N/SFW prompts.

MDZS Gotcha: Rules and sign-ups will remain open here until 3/22. The main event (donations/prompt submissions) will run from 3/24 to 3/30.

SVSSS Gotcha: Sign-ups open on 3/18, and the event itself will run from 4/13 to 4/21. The event carrd is here.

For TGCF fans: the TGCF Gotcha closed yesterday, but it raised over $3.5k USD during the prompt submission period! Stay tuned for the upcoming art/fanfiction. :)

I am heartbroken

Hashem lowered his GFM goal down to €9000-- that is a -500% decrease of his original goal of evacuating his family to safety (a total of €45k) if my math is right. He says in his gfm update that they cannot keep hoping for what is essentially an unrealistic pipe dream goal. A "False hope"... because their gfm had been up for a month, and the donation goal is very slow going. He says they're going to use the money to help his brother instead, who has lost way too much weight and is super weak now.

Every day, Hashem lives in fear for his parents and brother dying in Rafah while he's separated from them in Turkey. I can't imagine the hopelessness he feels. I can't do anything but donate what little I have, but to share his gfm, but to post about it over and over again on twitter, and offer people sketches for any amount of money they can donate to his gfm. idk. I'm still processing how horrible this all is -- people shouldn't have to be forced to be in this position. Yet all of Palestinian suffering is forced migration, forced displacement, forced starvation, and the constant threat of death from 1srael1 occupation. And somehow the world keeps turning, somehow it is still business as usual, somehow the demons in office are able to sleep peacefully at night with blood stained hands and blackened hearts.

I don't want Hashem to lose his brother. Or his parents. Or any of his friends and family. I don't know.
