How Cuddleable Are Your OCs?

Ahhhh thank you @somuchtowrite!! This tag game is SO adorable, I love it sooo much!!✨

Elise: Are you a stranger? Most important: Are you a THREAT to the forest and beings? If yes, -30/10. You’ll get stabbed and killed probably. So people really don’t want to get into her reach. She has been lonely for like 17 years... But the other way: If you did get her trust she is the most cuddly person ever but only to like 5 personas on this earth. 8/10 She is (compared to others) small, has a cold body temperature and is very thin but she has soft feather wings and she can easily fall asleep on your chest without you getting uncomfortable coz she is light af

Liam: 13/10. This boy needs a hug all the time but only if you are one of the persons he holds in his broken heart. Still, he is thin and TALL but who cares, you’ll hugged everywhere !! And he will stroke your hair and sing softly to you until you fall asleep

Luciana: 10/10. She LOVES warm hugs and her skin is (even if she’s being) warm coz she is staying in the sun a lot!! So basically you have to jump right into water to hug her but goddamn it’s worth it

Caelum: 7/10. He will destroy your hair while he hugs you coz he is a big bro but if you are sad there is no one who can comfort you better than him and make you laugh again

Zillah: honestly she tries to be a cold bitch™️ all the time but fails if you really know her and go hug her. She will have a mental breakdown right away and start sobbing so prepare. Anyway 8/10

Sloane: honestly BACK OFF if you don’t wanna get killed. Children please be careful -3/10

Epona: she is too creepy-cute you don’t wanna hug her tbh haha... but is like a 5/10. If you are either Eryx or Sloane it’s okay I guess

Hollis: 11/10 Girl loves hugging just randomly. So if you feel someone jumping on you - don’t worry it’s just hyperactive Hollis who has her five minutes and needs random hugs

Hazel: girly is so sleepy w o w. Will fall into your arms and start napping just randomly coz she is either baking or being dreamy all the time. Anyway, she is soft and smells like fresh cookies and you will LOVE hugging her 10/10

Character Introduction

Name: Zillah Érebos

Age: 17/18 years

Race: being, shadowjumper

Looks:

-black kinda wavy hair

-dark, nearly black, brown almond-shaped, blind eyes

-pale skin

-black whirl tattoo on right hand

-5”5

-scars on shoulders

-petite kinda trained body

Outfit: She wears most of the time a velvet or silk dress with golden embroidery. Because she is blind, she never knows which coulour she is wearing but she and Elise made up a little game:

Elise asks which colour Zillah’s wearing and Zillah tries to explain how the colour feels. Then she guesses the colour and Elise answers with right or false. It’s a nice game for both of them because Elise loves art and colours and it’s interesting for her to know how colours feel and for Zillah it’s a wonderful feeling to see the world a little bit like the others.

She is also wearing her hair most of the time open or half braided up. Sometimes she has a pitch black dagger with her. Her dragon Xyreel is always by her side.

Personality: She is very quiet; in the beginning she is kinda arrogant but she tries to not show her real self; she is true, loyal and stubborn; she is determined, calming and wants to help the ones she loves most; she is always searching for something; a Dreamer of a better world; she can express herself best when she is playing the piano.

Powers: cover herself in shadows, travel within the shadows, seeing magic different than the others

Story:

Her parents were ashamed of her disability, of her blindness.

They tried to lock her away first but when they understood that she will always find a way to flee they gave up.

Yet, the other shadowjumpers insulted and punished her of her blindness. She stopped to talk and she hid in the shadows.

But then they came.

The dragons came back.

And with them the most dangerous and wildest dragon. The dragon of her family.

Nobody could train him.

Only her.

Xyreel was her new family, her only friend in this ocean of night. She dreamed to flee to a better world.

She dreamed of a place where she belongs, of people she belongs to.

Before she met Xyreel she didn’t know how to flee.

But now she knows.

I really have to get her know better haha

1) What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?

- I think it was her species and her kinda-story in the second novel but I changed it later. (In the first dream version she was named Lina, she was a maiden and she would betray Elise but I didn’t like it like that; then I had an idea with shadows and I wanted to have a new friend for Elise so I had a new species: Shadowjumpers)

2) Did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind?

- Actually not really. I designed her after Caelum but I figured out that they are kinda opposites and I really liked the idea

3) How did you choose their name?

- I knew her species and her high position in it so I wanted a name that was related to the shadowjumpers’ past and powers. Zillah means shadow and Érebos is the god of darkness and the shadowjumpers came from Greece. (Still, Zillah grew up with the gods of Tríscéalta)

4) In developing their backstory, what elements of the world that they live in played the most influential parts?

- I think it’s isolation she lived in. Her species flee from Tríscéalta on the Island of darkness and for zillah’s backstory it was very important.

5,6,7)  Is there any significance behind their hair color/eye color/ height? 

- hair: shadows, soft darkness because of the waves

- Eye colour: still darkness

- Height: small things could hide better so yeah... she is small

8) What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?

- She is dreamer. She always dreamed of a better place and people. And she would try every time to get to this dream, no matter how many times she would fall. It’s her determination.

9) Are they based off of you, in some way?

- no, actually not. When she was named Lina she looked exactly like my friend Lina (haha, creativity) but she was never like her. Later, when I finally had Zillah, she had just my taste in music and my ability to play the piano. (I am playing with different emotions than the sheet tells me, I could say I am writing my own music which sometimes is even more beautiful than the actual melody)

10) Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation? 

- No, actually I’m not quite sure yet! I know who she will end up with but her real sexuality??? I have no idea

11)  What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.) 

- writing her with the three (Liam, Elise and Caelum) when they first met. I don’t really know how Liam and Caelum will react when they first see her. Elise goes to Zillah and she knows exactly who stand in front of her. And the funny thing is: Zillah and Elise hug each other like they knew each other for years. (They do actually but at the same time they don’t) and I haven’t figured out how to describe her blindness.... but everything comes with time!

12) How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all? 

- ummmmm.... actually beings are not immortal but if a being has a mate they are often living longer than the others... and Zillah has a mate. So I guess until she is like... 5800?? Maybe even longer (oh god I just don’t want them to die okay?? The four are my little babies)

13) If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be? 

- Her past and Xyreel (who lead her to the future she dreamed about)

14) What is something about your OC that can make you laugh?

- oh god when she is flying with Xyreel and Caelum xD

15) What is something about your OC that can make you cry? 

- Her past, the story how she got her scars/ tattoos and how she met Xyreel. And the little moments of the bond.

16)  Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story? 

- actually not. I love every little detail of her.

17) What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC? 

- that she tried to flee but couldn’t.

18) What is your favourite fact about your OC?

- ohhh that’s hard!! :D I think I’ll choose the little scenes in the first novel when she tries to flee and she tries to go to Elise. And she kinda knows that Elise sometimes feels... empty and that she is sometimes thinking about end her life and then Zillah always came. But with time Zillah wasn’t powerful enough to get Elise back.... (if I’m thinking about it, Zillah and Elise would be an adorable couple but they both have their own mates and yeah... cute idea but no xD)

Years passes by while Elize grew up as the queen of beings, Aidene Azar, wanted her to be: in satin, gold and crowns, cruel and mercyless. As a marionette, caged up and dacing on strings.

Until Elize fled, until she started fighting, until she met him, William Asher Wind, a human man.

It was time to stand up, destroy everything and create from nothing.
