Human Sully reader meeting the Metkayina Tribe.
Tumblr media
This is how I would image the reader acclimating to the Metkayina.
Honestly, it was kind of a struggle to get the reader to Awa'atlu. While the Sully's definitely wanted to bring you, there was barley a discussion, they just knew they couldn't be without you.
However, Max and Norm didn't think it would be smart to take you with them. They knew the Metkayina wouldn't be too happy out a human being brought into their clan, so they didn't think it was safe for you.
At this point however, they didn't really have much of a say in where you go. Jake and Neytiri very much consider themselves your parents, so they feel as though they have complete authority over where you go. They knew they could take care of you, regardless of where they went. It was getting too dangerous in the forest, and Jake didn't want his family there anymore.
Like I said, there wasn't much discussion about you leaving with them, it just happened. Jake made sure to stock up on spare oxygen masks and any other things you needed before leaving. Since you didn't have an Ikran, you rode with Jake, even though it causes a fight between Lo'ak and Neteyam, who wanted you to ride with one of them.
It took a while, but once you arrived at Awa'atlu, you were instantly not welcomed. The Metkayina were not happy to see forest Na'vi, especially ones with demon blood. The moment they saw a human was brought along, they instantly wanted to send you all away, mainly Ronal. She was not a fan of humans due to what they had done to her people, and if it wasn't for Tonowari, you would've been killed right then and there.
It was safe to say that you were not welcomed in the clan. Even though your whole family wasn't welcomed, they eventually were able to become somewhat acclimated. You, however, were a human. You couldn't breathe long underwater, couldn't bond with an Ilu, and overall was completely isolated. Your siblings knew what you were going through, and always there for you. Kiri specifically would take you on walks around the shore so that you weren't stuck in the Marui.
It was during one of these walks that you met the younger Metkayina. Tsireya was very nice, which was a nice change of pace from the hatred you were getting from everyone else. Tsireya had this childlike curiosity towards you. She, unlike most other Na'vi, thought you were super interesting and quickly became close friends with you.
Tsireya was the one who introduced you to Aonung, who was not a fan of you. He, like he mother, hated the sky people, and didn't want them anywhere among his clan. He was smart enough not to mess with you in front of your siblings, but when you were alone, he did not hesitate to voice his hatred for you. He would pull your hair, prod at your body, poking fun at how small you were. He would even make fun of your poor Na'vi speak. He and his friends made a lot of your days miserable, but the worst was that you couldn't tell anyone about it due to the collective hatred surrounding you and your family.
Speaking of your family, you did a good job hiding the abuse you suffered from them. That was until Lo'ak got in a fight with him when he witnesses him messing with you, resulting in Jake getting upset. While he was happy his son was defending you, he knew he had an image to uphold, and attacking the chief's son was not a great way to gain the people's trust.
Aonung's bulling eventually died down, due to both Lo'ak and Tonowari. His father, while also not trusting of humans, knew that it was wrong what his son was doing. You were just a child and didn't deserve the treatment you were receiving, regardless of your heritage. Tonowari was more sympathetic to your plight and was grateful his daughter was there to befriend you.
Ronal despised you. She did not want you or your siblings anywhere near her children. She didn't understand Jake's and Neytiri's obsession with you, you were some random demons. In her mind, she saw you as someone trying to destroy her home. It didn't matter what Tsireya told her, in her mind she would never trust you.
Eventually, you were able to build a strong relationship with Tsireya she would take you out on her Ilu's and explore the reefs with you. Tsireya was more patient with you, knowing your limitations and would carefully guide you through the reefs and help you find pretty shells. Aonung did eventually become your friend but would still tease you, just not as much as before. Aonung and Lo'ak became your bodyguards, going everywhere with you. Lo'ak was always protective of you and was not afraid to hide it. Aonung was more embarrassed about protectiveness over you. He didn't understand, you were a sky person, a demon. There was no reason to be so hung up over you. But he couldn't help but become jealous when he saw you hanging out with one of the Sully children or with his sister. It all culminated with him basically demanding you to be his friend and ever since you were always with him.
Tonowari is a good father. A good mate. So, of course he feels bad when he sees you and feels a sense of yearning. He wonders if this is what Jakesully felt when he saw you for the first time. If he felt the same care and longing. He knows it's not right, to care so much about a demon, but he can't help it. Tonowari worries about you always and will always keep an eye on you whenever you travel into deep water with one of his children.
Regardless of how much he cares for you, he will never act upon it in respect for both his mate and Jakesully. He knows what fatherhood can do to a person and would never take that away from him. He instead, chooses to remain content protecting you from the sidelines and making sure no harm ever came to you.
A/n: Please send me any ideas you have for the Metkayina, I would love to hear it.

Neteyam Sully x Omatikayan oc/reader
Warning: light smut and Fluff, neteyam and reader are aged up
Wordcount: 1.8K
Charater: I use a name because it's easier for me to write but change it with yours or whatever you want, the character is female, daughter of two strong warriors of the Omatikaya clan, she herself is known for her dowry in battle.
( I accept requests if you have ideas I would love to hear them, I accept requests on Jake sully, Lo'Ak, neteyam, Kiri, Tsireya, aonung and Neytiri, all kinds of stories are welcome ;) write in private or in The comments 💙
and sorry for any grammatical errors but this is not my first language ♥♡
We had grown up in the Metkayina clan by now, I have a nice scar on my shoulder from the battle but I can say that I saved Nateyam from certain death.
Now I'm remembered as the strong warrior with the heart scar, I'm still not too used to the way of fighting of this water clan it doesn't come too natural to me even if according to Ronal and Tsireya I'm an excellent warrior also for this clan.
" how are you?" Tsireya asks gently looking at me from the water and leaning her elbows on the wooden bridge "Me? I don't know if I want to talk about it...Why don't we talk about you and Lo'Ak? Your love problems empty my mind" I say wallowing feet in the clear water next to her "ok...then it's pretty good apart from my mother doesn't agree too much on our relationship as always, she thinks Lo'Ak is reckless and that I should look for a serious man to mate with and marry" she snorts as she floats and looks at the sun kissing her skin " well I've been friends with the Sullies since I can remember and can confirm your mother's words Lo'Ak is reckless and reckless but he's a very good friend as well as I also think a great boyfriend, he's faithful, loyal and tremendously sweet and sensitive more than I want to admit and show" I say smiling softly to my friend "I don't know I wanted you know...to take the next step with him to connect, but my mother does not give me his blessing and not I feel like doing it behind her back I think she would kill me first and then the guilt "I look at her fake shocked" do you want to connect?! Know that after I want to know everything the first time is always crazy" I laugh and she splashes me with water giggling embarrassed " as if you two have never done " shrug " Neteyam and I joined our braids several times but we never we find ourselves too much in agreement on when to take the other step " she looks at me smiling " why don't we talk about you and Neteyam then ?" I roll my eyes and she giggles " I was going to kill him this morning about what Neteyam and I have different visions, he wants to recreate the stability of his family but I'm more of a solitary warrior than a mother of a family" I say throwing myself in the water with her "yes? " she giggles following me " I want to fight, it's my nature I was born for this I'm descended from generations of warriors but I know that sooner or later we should have children and I won't be able to be a warrior anymore like this... well I almost killed myself more than once i sometimes wonder why he chose me as his mate i'm so difficult and on the other hand i'm afraid to disappoint him i'm afraid i'm not worthy of neytiri as a yardstick she's crazy as a mother " she swims around me and laughs " but you want to take that step with him I can see it from your eyes, you two complement each other as Lo'ak and I complement each other, and if you want children you will do something else for a while, you will hunt and I could teach you something about a healer plus it doesn't mean that as soon as you do that you'll get pregnant you're 20 you have time for that you'll be a great mother because it's you you protected your own mate with your life you looked after Tuk and Kiri and thank God you kept an eye on Lo'Ak when or I can't, you're a bit grumpy it's true maybe you love being on your own, but believe me you would give your life for each of the people you care about and with them you change you are a mountain of sugar with them your eyes light up when you look after them to Tuk and when Nete shows you affection, you don't have to be Neytiri, you are you and clearly in everyone's eyes you will be a perfect mother and above all in Neteyam's eyes, he has chosen you as a mate because you are meant to be together and to be also parents together" I snort and go under the water " you know that taking care of isn't for me and yes I can't wait to do it with Nete and I thank you for those words I think they really help me these days, I love you Tsireya " I say with sign language hug her "Ali'iem you will think about it when it happens, continue with your normal life just take that step we all love you and we will be with you forever" we continue to swim and hunt together for a while and then I go back to the my tent with anc now the mind crowded with thoughts.
As I pull my wet hair back I see a red strand in my hair my eyes widen 'will this be a sign of Eywa?' "every day you are more and more beautiful you know that?" I feel Neteyam's delicate hand on my waist while his lips gently rest on my neck and I smile slightly " sorry if I was a bit stubborn and unreasonable with you earlier" I say, turning to look him in the eyes he smiles softly at me " we'll think about it if it happens right?" I smile back, infected by his , before giving me a kiss on the lips "sure" he replies "you know I think Tsireya and Lo'Ak will join for the first time it's a great thing for those two" he chuckles " it's an important step but Lo'Ak is completely crazy about Tsireya I knew he would get there and then she calms him down makes him think a little more and that's good for everyone" he giggles pulling his hair into a ponytail involuntarily showing me his muscles of his back tense, he turns his gaze catching mine passing over him "am I beautiful?" He asks teasing me "beautiful" I say giggling and he approaches me leaving me a few kisses on the corners of my mouth, I put my hands on his chest tracing the darkest signs with my fingers.
It's a moment that Neteyam hugs me more and finally he kisses me on the lips properly and I feel the need to connect with him " Nete..." I call him softly sighing Ali'iem ?" His pupils are wide and he looks at me softly but at the same time a shadow passes through his eyes, I gently stroke his face and I quickly reach his braid stroking it, he smiles and moves it to his shoulder holding it in his hand, I quickly do the same and bring my end closer to his connecting us, a moment of ecstasy that soon leads us to everything else, Neteyam rests his forehead on mine and squeezes my waist gently, I can feel he is holding back a lot he licks his lips, his breath is heavy and then he can't take it anymore and kisses my lips looking into my eyes "Nete let's do it..." I hiss through my teeth looking into his eyes "are you sure? " I nod letting him kiss me passionately, I have no more thoughts if not Neteyam.
He puts me on our 'bed' without ever detaching from me, our tails caress us and it's as if everything came from if we don't think too much concentrated on both our sensations and those of the other, I perceive his ecstasy, his love and his wish .
It doesn't take long that our intimacies are connected giving a feeling and sensations never experienced before, the slow but decisive movements of his pelvis make me feel an intense pressure in my lower abdomen, the deep and hoarse grunts of neteyam do nothing but increase this sensation that makes small noises of pure pleasure come out of my lips.
When his hands squeeze my thighs bringing them higher and resting them on his shoulders making me see the stars with a stronger push than the previous ones, my hands squeeze his back scratching him slightly.
The rhythm of his thrusts doesn't waver and I feel that feeling of pressure inside me about to burst "Nete...I..." I don't have time to say much because that pressure explodes completely making me scream nothing but his name which I he too says my name several times feeling my walls tighten around him, a feeling of burning heat floods me and then moments of silence where only the sound of our breaths makes noise in the air, I see him smiling above me looking at me with slightly tired eyes and a few drops of sweat on his forehead.
From a tender kiss on my leg before letting them both fall snugly around his slim waist, he kisses my lips multiple times before framing my entire face with soft comforting kisses, my legs still shaking.
We don't separate our braids nor our bodies but the guy above me switches positions letting me doze peacefully on his chest, while he watches me rest I hear the rumble of his purr on his chest which also starts mine letting him kiss his chest and her soft lips "hey…Ohe see ngenga and you are the best woman that could happen to me whatever happens I will always be with you" he says moving a strand of hair from my damp forehead, I smile at him tenderly "Ohe see ngenga too, and yes I think you won't get rid of me that easily either.” I rest my chin on his chest as I watch him already fantasizing about something I'll have the pleasure of discovering later.
𓇽༆𓇽
The next morning my legs were screaming in pain but this didn't relieve me of my duties, as always I met Tsireya taking a bath together " Ali'iem you are really slow this morning you won't take anything so" she will try again " Tsireya give me peace my legs they're screaming in pain "she whips her head towards me" you? You? Have you taken the step? You've mated tell me yes please I can't wait to see little puppies of the forest with your big emerald eyes " she takes my hands all too excited " yes yes we did but I don't know yet if I'm pregnant we'll just find out further on " she dives in and caresses my flat belly and I see her gesturing under the water a ' great mother make it a girl ' I giggle seeing her return to the surface " you are impossible you know ? Really embarrassing " she squirts me but whatever happens i can't keep a sincere smile off my face i have no more worries i just want to be with Neteyam forever " anyway me and Lo'ak bonded " i open my mouth in shock as she swims fast away from me“ COME HERE YOU MUST TELL ME EVERYTHING“.

Future warrior of the Metkayina clan and Tsireya’s best friend, [Name], has had her eye on Lo’ak since the Sully family arrived to the Metkayina clan. It wasn’t something [Name] could explain. From the moment she walked out of the water with her best friend, she felt what she could only describe as a pull to him. As if an invisible vine tied them together.
This sudden infatuation was short lived as she learned that [Name] and Tsireya would have to teach the new comers the ways of the Metkayina clan. Although the pull never went away.
Teaching the Sully kids started off simple, teach them to swim. All that sounded simple, and it was as they watched them jump in, enjoying the water around them. It only seem to become a problem when they tried to follow the Metkayina kids, and they quickly found that these forest Na’vi could not hold their breath as long as they could. While Tsireya was swimming to the surface to ask what is wrong, [Name] signed to her friends asking why they had to teach them and not just Tsireya. To which they all but laughed and shrugged their shoulders, making their way back to the surface.
At the surface, she found Lo’ak make eye contact with her immediately. Stuck in a state of irrational panic, [Name] angrily told the Sully family that they must learn to hold their breath for longer if they want to survive in the Metkayina clan, before diving back down in the water.
Confused and slightly shocked, like the rest of the Sully kids, Lo’ak started:
“What was that all about?” His question was directed towards Tsireya but he would welcome anybody’s answer.
“I’m not really sure, I have never seen her act like this. Yes she has been cold, but never this cold, and never when she is not hunting.” Tsireya tried to explain, confused and concerned herself.
.ೃ࿐
All sitting in a circle, the Metkayina kids as well as the Sully kids were practicing breathing. Tsireya, having convinced [Name] to join them, was quite happy to lead the breathing.
“You have to breathe from the stomach.” Tsireya explained, closing her eyes and breathing in slowly.
“And stay calm while you hold it. Your body will use more air if you don’t stay calm.” [Name] continued, trying to stay calm herself while she slowly exhaled with the rest of the group, her heart beating rapidly.
Tsireya smiled at [Name]’s participation, to which [Name] smiles back softly, before closing her eyes once again to breathe in deeply.
[Name] could hear struggled breathing from beside her, as she opened her eyes she found Lo’ak breathing at a different pace the rest.
“No, breathe in from here.” [Name] held her hand over his stomach, watching as he attempted to breathe like her instruction.
As he continued to struggle, [Name] turned to face him, holding his shoulder as well. Watching him closely, she felt his heart beat pace only rise.
“You have to slow your heart down, it is beating too fast.” [Name] instructed, hoping to take her own advice and slow her racing heart.
Hearing chuckles from the group, and watching the look Neteyam gave Aonung, he let out a soft huff.
“Sorry.” Lo’ak spoke quickly, trying hard to avoid [Name]’s eyes.
“Breathe from you stomach, here.” [Name] watching him, as Lo’ak looks away again, she rolls her eyes.
As Lo’ak tries again, he breathes in deeply holding it for a moment before letting it out slowly. As he opens his eyes, he finds [Name] smiling at him with pride in her eyes.
“See? You’re getting it! Now just keep doing that.” [Name] beamed brightly, and all Lo’ak could do was look in to her eyes and smile back.
.ೃ࿐
As [Name] sat on rocks, watching Neteyam, Tuk, Kiri, and Tsireya play in the water, Lo’ak approaches her carefully.
“[Name]?” Lo’ak called hesitantly.
[Name] looked behind her, seeing Lo’ak, and sighing softly before smiling again. She could still feel that pull from when they first met but she no longer feels the weird panic and anger that she felt before. These feelings were so new to her, too new to understand. Her nervous energy and random anger was much unlike her. Although she was not all sunshine and smiles like her best friend was, she also wasn’t a sea of ice.
“Hey, Lo’ak. Do you need something?” She asked much kinder than Lo’ak was expecting.
Her voice kind and soft, much like Tsireya. She must have quite the influence, and [Name] would agree.
“Actually, I do. I was wondering if you could continue helping me with my breathing?” Lo’ak asking timidly, hoping for that same kindness.
[Name] smiled, “Of course, I can help you. Sit here.” [Name] pointed next to her, watching as Lo’ak sat down.
And as the afternoon went by, that is exactly what [Name] did. Sit on the rocks and teach Lo’ak to breathe so he may survive in the Metkayina clan. It started out the same as the last time she tried to teach him, but Lo’ak quickly picked up slow breathing technique by slow breathing technique. [Name] was happy how much he was learning from her and Lo’ak was just happy to feel her hands on him. [Name]’s hand on his stomach felt electrifying, as if with her hands on him, he could do anything.
.ೃ࿐
As Lo’ak was walking towards where he knew he would find Tuk, he heard splashes from the water not far from him. When he looked over to find the origin of the splashing, he found his brother running up to [Name]. As he got to her, Lo’ak could see their mouths moving signalling their conversing. As much as Lo’ak wish he could hear what they were saying, he couldn’t hear from where he stood. He could feeling his heart start to speed up and all of his muscles started to tighten, resulting in the curling of his fist.
It’s probably nothing.
He tried to tell himself, but his mind would not let go of what he sees before him.
Neteyam? Nah, nothing will happen.
He told himself again, starting to walk in the direction he was before, coincidentally the same direction that would lead him past where [Name] and Neteyam were talking. He was just about to mentally brush off his angry when he heard [Name] laugh loudly at something Neteyam said. That’s when he decide he had had enough. Curling his fists once again, he ran all the way to where he was going. Mentally cursing Neteyam for doing this to him.
.ೃ࿐
Lo’ak was in his head for the next few days. Even when hanging out with his family he was thinking how he had already lost [Name] to Neteyam. How he takes everything from Lo’ak. Neteyam was the golden child while he was just the runt. Never really enough.
The only thing that could really get him out of his head was [Name].
Spending time with her felt like a dream to Lo’ak. She helped him practice his breathing, showed him the waters and helped him as he learned to ride his own Ilu. Which he had a few issues with.
Lo’ak tried to spend 100% of his time with [Name], which at times proved to be difficult. Every moment with [Name] was like a breath of fresh air, which he knows much of after the many attempts at diving in the water to catch a shell.
So when they were sitting on the beach together, watching the waves, Lo’ak was more than upset when Neteyam asked to join them. He rolled his eyes at his ask and huffed as [Name] politely agreed. After a beat, Lo’ak groaned and stood up, stomping off in a huff.
“What was that about?” [Name] asked, confused and a bit upset.
“I’m not sure, I was just about to tell him that our parents are upset with him. But he has been kind of moody lately. Have you noticed?”
“Not really, but I guess looking back he has been a little?” [Name] replied thoughtfully, thinking back at all of the time Neteyam was there and Lo’ak was upset.
“Now that I think about it, he has been a little upset, but it is only when you are around.” [Name] continued.
“I wondered if that might be it. Well, thank you for clearing that up. I am going to save his ass from my parents and then ask him what is up. Later.” Neteyam waved at [Name] before walking off.
[Name] was left there to think of what was upsetting Lo’ak and why he stomped off so fast.
.ೃ࿐
“You have been acting weird. What is going on?” Neteyam asked incredulously as Lo’ak scuffed at his question.
“No weirder than usual.” Lo’ak muttered, reflecting on how he has felt as an outcast and apart from his brother.
“What?” Neteyam asked, hoping he would repeat what he thought Lo’ak had said.
“What do you want from me Neteyam? Being the golden boy not enough for you anymore? Here to pick on me some more?”
“What are you talking about? I am trying to ask what is going on with you. Why are so-”
“How does it feel getting everything? Why do you take everything from me?” Lo’ak questions angrily, cutting Neteyam off.
“What is wrong with you!?” Neteyam quickly follows.
“No! What is wrong with you! You take all of the attention and have alway been the golden boy but now you have taken [Name] too?! You take everything important to me?” Lo’ak practically screams, having to take a breath after.
Lo’ak catches his breath only to find his brother laughing hysterically, the shock from Lo’ak’s outburst having apparently worn off. Lo’ak’s eyebrow’s furrowed, if they could even furrow any more, his face beating red.
“What!?” Lo’ak yelled. Only to be met with more of Neteyam’s hysterical laughter as he fell to the ground rolling around.
“What!? What!? What are you laughing at!? Just tell me what you are laughing at!!!” Lo’ak demanded, fuming.
“It’s just- It’s just-” Neteyam tried, struggling to speak between his laughter. “It’s just that you think I am trying to get with- with-” Neteyam continued before roaring in laughter once again.
“Would you just spit it out already!” Lo’ak demanded once again.
“You think I am trying to get with [Name] because you’re jealous!” Neteyam laughed again, finding this whole situation beyond humorous.
“You mean you’re not trying to get with her?” Lo’ak asked utterly confused but his face burning for a new reason.
“Of course not! Never mind the fact I’m not interested, she has been eyeing you since we got here!” Neteyam grinned so wide his cheeks hurt.
“She has not!” Lo’ak was quick to ‘correct’.
“She totally has! Are you kidding me? And why do you think she takes so much time to teach you everything?”
“Because I am a slow learner?” Lo’ak asked, becoming more and more confused by the second.
“Because she like you and likes spending time with your dumbass!”
“Oh.” Lo’ak spoke looking down, thinking of all of the time they had spent together.
“Yeah ‘Oh’. Now get your ass over to her and tell her how you feel!” Neteyam pushed him in the direction of [Name]’s family’s marui.
After a short walk, Lo’ak found himself on the beach [Name] and him were last sitting at, where [Name] was still sitting. Lo’ak would have thought she would have left by now but there she was, hands supporting her as she gazed at the sky. Lo’ak took a deep breath, remembering all of the things that she had taught him, before making his way over to her.
“Mind if I join you?” Lo’ak asked, trying not to alarm [Name]. This reminded him of the first time they spent time together, alone, and the many times that came after that. He smiled to himself.
“Lo’ak, you’re back! Of course you can join me.” [Name] beamed, standing up to met him.
Lo’ak loved that smile. And he especially loved causing that smile.
“I’m sorry I stomped off, that was childish of me.” Lo’ak looked at the ground.
“Neteyam mentioned that you have been upset, why is that?” [Name] asked gently, as if he would stomp off again.
“I was mad at him for taking everything from me,” Lo’ak started. “He is the golden boy of our family that can do no wrong.” Lo’ak mocked and [Name] giggled softly.
“I just wish that my parents understood that…” Lo’ak looked down again.
[Name] took a step towards him, bringing her hand to his shoulder. To which, Lo’ak looked up and into [Name]’s eyes. As they stood not even a foot apart, [Name] brought her other hand to his cheek and gazed into his eyes. Lo’ak felt like she was looking into her soul, and as her looked into her eyes he found himself doing the same.
“I see you.” [Name] whispered so soft, Lo’ak wouldn’t have heard if he wasn’t so close.
Lo’ak watched [Name]’s face with pure joy, a wide smiled creeping up on his lips.
“I see you.”

Hey!! I was wondering if you could make an Ao'nung x Sully reader. Where when the sullys arrive aonung is interested in the reader and hes always nice to her and only her which his friends notices and teases him about. Then im guessing 5 weeks of the sullys staying there the reader and aonung are close where its like dating (but not dating, yk?) And then u ask aonung to meet u somewhere at night (like a date) which he agrees then while ur there he never showed up so u walk back home but on the way u see aonung with a girl and u get mad and walk past them and aonung calls for you but u go home then the next morning aonung explains everything? (happy ending thoo) IF YOU DO THIS THANK YOU SM!! <3
Ao'nung x Sully!reader
genre: fluff
a/n: here you go! thank you for your request :))
sorry for any grammar mistakes
With sun rays caressing the markings on your back, you disconnected your queue from your exhausted Ikran and offered your hand to Kiri who has been accompanying you on the banshee throughout your journey to the reefs to seek refuge from the Metkayina clan. She grasped your hand, taking a notice of its rough surface, and slid off the creature with a huff.
The reception by the Metkayina was less than welcoming, especially by their tsahìk Ronal, who circled around your family with a spark of disapproval in her eyes. She lifted Kiri's hand to show her people the extra finger she shared with Lo'ak and your father, claiming you all have demon blood. You placed your hand on Kiri's shoulder to encourage her to move in front of you and escape the frightened looks of the Metkayina and earned a growl in return from the pregnant woman. Neteyam followed suit and pushed you in front of him to shield you from the curious children who tugged on your tail, giving the opportunity to the chief's siblings to acknowledge your presence.
That was when the disgust was replaced with unexpected interest.
Ao'nung began to study your every curve, each marking that decorated your different shade of blue, the way you scrunched your nose when his mother hissed at yours. He tilted his head slightly and took a notice of the matching bracelet you had with the eldest Sully child, frowning at the sight. It was clear that the two of you shared a strong bond and several facial features he found quite pretty on you, but on your brother? Not much.
He wasn't fond of your siblings and decided that it was his mission to make your stay and adapting to their culture difficult, except for you. Ao'nung, for some unexplainable reason, excluded you from his obnoxious teasing. Instead of fooling around and making fun of your frustration when you couldn't master your ilu, he offered you advice on how to do it properly.
His friends noticed the nice behavior towards you, especially after his gaze softened whenever you ran up to their group to rescue your younger siblings, Kiri and Lo'ak, from their nasty remarks. They started teasing him about it and with you passing by, they would playfully punch his shoulder and chant your name to catch your attention.
It's worth mentioning that they received some bruises from the firstborn of Tonowari and Ronal.
To Lo'ak's dismay, you couldn't adapt to the Metkayina ways and struggled to stick by their side underwater. Because Tsireya was busy teaching the rest of your siblings, Ao'nung was entrusted with the task of helping you out. That brought you closer to the Metkayina boy whether you liked it or not, but you weren't complaining. He brightened up your time under the water and showed you beautiful places you could only dream of visiting.
He would occasionally tease you around your brothers to reveal your newly created friendship and flick the back of your head with a toothy grin, making Lo'ak gag.
"Stop," you chuckled and swatted his hand away from your reddening cheek when he pointed out that his compliment made you blush. "Ao'nung, I mean it!"
The boy bit his bottom lip to stifle his laugh, letting you slap his knee. Ao'nung insisted that you take a break after you almost drowned because you were distracted by the colorful corals around you and forgot you had to resurface to breathe. Your side was pressed against his, the contrast of your skin color illuminating the surface of the rock you were sitting on, legs swaying in the clear water.
You pulled away from his turquoise body in thought, his hand slipping down your back in the process which left a trail of electricity behind. Ao'nung narrowed his eyes at your intense frown and shifted in his spot, uncertainty replacing the comfort he found by your side.
You turned to face Tonowari's son, allowing him to catch a glimpse of fear in your yellow eyes he grew to adore. "I was thinking," you began, his shoulders tensing under your gaze. "I mean- it's probably pretty stupid of me to ask, but.."
Ao'nung put his hand on your thigh and left gentle rubs behind as you exhaled deeply. You lifted your eyes to meet his light blue ones, your worry vanishing. "What if-- I don't know.." you trailed off and started to fidget with your fingers. He was patient and let you find the right words to use. "What if we meet here, tonight. Just for fun."
The corner of his lips curved upwards when you winced at your voice crack. He continued to massage your leg as he gazed at the horizon, debating his answer. "Or not! It's totally fine! It was stupid of me to even think--"
"Sure," he locked his eyes on you, soft smile decorating his face.
You slapped his shoulder playfully, scoffing. "You scared me! I literally thought you were going to decline."
Ao'nung chuckled, bringing his hands up. "My bad."
___
Pandora is always breathtaking during the day, but when the sun begins to set, the beauty of the moon increases.
You trailed a hand through the clear shallow water, your fingertips playing with the sand in boredom. To say you were disappointed would an understatement, but you weren't disappointed in Ao'nung, you hated yourself for believing he would actually show up.
You should've believed Lo'ak. You should've listened to him when he caught you sneaking out of your Marui to "get some fresh air before bed" and told you that your date won't show up, but you waved him off and asked him to cover for you while you were away.
With a heavy sigh, you picked yourself up and pulled out the blossoming flower Tuk plugged for you, twisting its stem between your fingers.
On your silent journey back to your Marui, you caught a glimpse of a familiar hairstyle standing out of earshot on the shore where Lo'ak swung his fist in Ao'nung's face for Kiri two weeks ago. It was hilarious to listen to afterwards. Kiri mimicked the surprised expressions of her bullies and recreated Lo'ak's effective punch.
You narrowed your gaze at the figure whose back was facing you and dropped the flower on the ground in shock.
Ao'nung was speaking to an awfully beautiful girl you stumbled upon when you were playing with the Metkayina children and Tuk in the afternoon. You felt imitated by her unique appearance with just one glance in her direction.
You scoffed at the sight in the distance and licked your lips. Crushing the blossom with your foot, you stormed past them with clenched fists and didn't dare to turn around when Ao'nung called after you.
Maybe you were naive to think he could return your feelings, but you definitely weren't the type of Na'vi who would cry their eyes out if their date didn't show up.
Ao'nung messed up, he was aware, but before he could reach you, you were pushing Neteyam out of the entrance of your new home.
___
"Where can they be?" you tap your chin in fake thought, your ears flickering when a wave of sweet giggles fill the morning breeze. You cover your growing smile behind your hand and follow the sound of your sister shushing the other girls who wanted to join you after they witnessed Tuk getting splashed with water by you. You peek behind the wicker basket full of useful objects your family received from the Metkayina people and wrap your arms around one of the girl's waist to pull her out of their hiding spot. "Gotcha ya!"
The rest of the children runs out with a mix of screaming and laughing, trying to rescue their friend who is comfortably sitting in your arms.
"Y/n," your smile falls along with your shoulders, the sweet atmosphere changing. You place the girl down and face the owner of the voice, arms crossed over your chest. "Can you please let me explain--"
"What's there to say? That I sneaked out for you and you didn't bother to show up?"
"You sneaked out?" Tuk inquires, her hand landing on the side of your thigh. Your gaze widens, "Y/n!" your sister smacks your leg.
"Go play with the girls," you push Tuk towards the Metkayina kids with a nervous chuckle, but relax when she shrugs her shoulders and skips to her new friends.
"I didn't mean to ditch you," you scoff at his words and roll your eyes. "I mean it." He takes your hands in his, securing them in a tight grip. "What you saw yesterday is not what you think it is."
"What is it then?"
Ao'nung glances around you two, noting the number of people that can possibly catch him pulling you into his embrace. You stumble a bit when your body hits his, cheeks reddening. His fingers caress your back gently as he exhales heavily in your hair.
"My heart beats for you," your breath hitches when he presses your palm on his chest, on the rapidly beating organ. "And only for you." He pulls away, his hands traveling to your flushed cheeks. He smiles at your flustered state. "I'll make it up to you, I promise."
"You better."

Come Inside Of My Heart
Neteyam x F!Reader
Tumblr media
Everyone was bound to have soulmates right? And this just seemed like Eywa outdid herself to make this fate happen.
CW: Nothing really, fluff, some cursing, soulmate AU, enemies to lovers if you squint, a bit of violence, Metkayina!Reader, Neteyam x F!Reader
A heart for a heart. A heart that connects to another's. It was a breathtaking form of love and spirituality amongst the living.
Soulmates, that's what they were.
The form of beauty that makes you share what your soulmate is feeling emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Whether an object, plant, animal, human, na'vi, they were all destined to have another half.
Though, he felt like his destiny was rather a crucial pain to his life.
For example, when he would accidentally stub his toe, it's like his soulmate would kick her toe harder, when the fine tea he brewed that would be unexpectedly be on the hotter side burn his tongue, his soulmate would chomp down on her tongue harder.
He felt like he was getting punished for an accident he did, so he did the same.
These two were bickering day and night, how could they not get tired of this? All they wanted to do was to finally see one another to put up a proper argument after all the physical pain these two practically put on each other.
But Neteyam didn't know that these feelings would change when his family was seeking for safety amongst the clan of the Metkayina.
When he held his eye on a girl.
This wasn't your first time feeling his warm heart thump, though, it was the first time his warm heart was thumping for someone.
He was your soulmate, you knew that but-
Was there someone else?
It couldn't leave the back of your mind, there's no way Eywa could mess up her plans.
Currently, you could only ponder about the pounding heart that wasn't yours while watching the Omatikayan family in standing amongst the white sands of your clan.
"Jake Sully and his family will stay with us. We must treat them as our brothers and sisters as we treat the others. They will be like babies, taking their first breath." your father finished, the previous wrathful tension of the woman, called Neytiri, and your mother now fading.
"My daughters, Tsireya and [Y/N], and my son Aonung, will teach you our ways." he announced, now gesturing to you and your siblings with pride.
Unbeknownst to Aonung and your father bickering, your whole world practically seemed to stop. It's almost like a swarm of butterflies were now fluttering in your stomach and warmth circled in your cheeks.
The taller son of Jake Sully had met your crystal azul eyes, his golden irises shining like stars brightly illuminating beneath your silhouette.
This.
This must be the familiar, blooming feeling the boy had just felt. The booming of hearts wasn't distinguishable anymore, it only got louder and louder, you did not know if it was your own or your soulmate's drum of heart.
"Hey." the boy smiled in your direction. Now he knew he was going crazy when such a breathtaking view smiled back pearls at him.
"Hello! Welcome to the clan, uh?"
"Neteyam."
"Neteyam. Welcome to the clan, Neteyam. I'm [Y/N]. " you gave a toothy beam at the forest boy. He could not describe the fluttery and warm feeling that clouded his mind, the pounding grew larger, he knew and swore it couldn't be just coming from him.
The walk to the maruis accompanied by Tsireya to the available marui pod for the big family was nice, a sense of comfort within your sister and a newfound welcome for the newcomers. This beat in your chest was not stopping, and your soulmate certainly felt the same as you could feel his.
'Someone out there really must be making him happy.'
Now nearing the pod, you ushered the new family to settle in and now giving their belongings that you brought to help.
"This is nice, right guys? We can settle here." Jake Sully reassured his big family, looking around at the new environment, their new home.
The father received a round of unamused responses from his children.
"Well, please call for me and Tsireya when needed, we will try our best to welcome you as much as we can. We can start our lessons tomorrow, sleep well, everyone." you grinned at the new family, specifically at the eldest son locking his gaze at you.
"Thank you, I wis- We wish you a good night's sleep as well." Neteyam blushed in embarrassment, talking for the behalf of his family.
Tumblr media
You in fact, did not get a good night's sleep when the eclipse on Pandora fell.
Not even a blink of a sleep came down to your consciousness, the funny feeling of a so-called "crush" is engraved into your mind that left a purple flare on your turquoise cheeks.
He certainly cannot be your soulmate?
Right?
There were soulmates before that would think they are bound to another, a simple crush, maybe? But you knew better than to assume a boy you just met was your soulmate.
Though, it seemed like that night, it wasn't you who was left sleepless that eclipse.
Neteyam has been kicking and squirming on the mattress he laid on, dead silence in the marui while he was practically the only soul moving as of the moment there.
His mind was turning hazy due to this feverish warmth that engulfed him whole. This girl was kind, welcoming, and definitely beautiful. It was enough to bring him the comfort of home and a fuzzy feeling spreading throughout his body like wildfire.
He was more than certain right now that his soulmate could feel his heart running and beating sixty miles per hour.
That morning when the people of Awa'atlu awoken, surely you were one of the pupils who had work done, especially as the daughter of the olo'eyktan and tsahik.
The Sully family themselves have awoken and prepared for the rest of the day in their new home. They had all done their respective routine for their morning and finally prepared for the upcoming lessons taught by you, Tsireya, and Aonung that you wished who would not empower his inner voice that tells him to ditch.
When it finally struck the time for the Sully children to take their time adapting in the new blues of Awa'atlu.
Though, it seemed that the skills of reef people are way beyond theirs, their bodies are not adapted for an aquatic environment.
With Aonung's relentless mocking and teasing of the newcomers, Tsireya could only sign a 'Stop. They're learning.' at your close minded sibling.
All now risen to the surface, the eldest spoke up, "C'mon guys, we don't speak this -" he brought his fingers to seemingly imitate the sign language used in Metkayinan culture "finger talk." he finished.
"We will teach you, but first I think we need to improve your breathing, it would be a lot easier to apply it to our way of talking when we're underwater." Tsireya guided, getting a look of understanding from the Omatikayans.
Now at a spot of the reef, where you, Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, Tsireya, Rotxo. Meanwhile Tuk was with her dear mother now being in a place to rest for she is a growing child. As for Aonung, he fortunately had numerous "chores" to do as the next Olo'eyktan.
Tsireya has now been leading the new family with their progressive breathing, although it seemed that the eldest was the only one who wasn't.
You subconsciously started placing a helping hand onto his lower stomach. "Neteyam, your heartbeat is fast. Try to slow down your breathing."
"Sorry."
He wasn't.
Hell, he barely even knew the words that came out of his plump lips right now, the only thing he knew about was you. His thoughts were infiltrated and embedded by the image of your breathtaking image and it certainly wasn't helping that your frail hands were enough to send his heart in a frenzy of beats.
Stifles were only let out by the rest of the group, unnoticed by you and the Sully boy who could only hear the drum of his heart and certainly, his soulmate's.
Was this really just a coincidence?
Weeks have passed since their approach to the unfamiliar Metkayina clan for uturu. Jake Sully needed protection for their family, a new home. They were new to the reef, but it was like his eldest son was finding his home within the clan already.
Someone who makes his home.
Neteyam could only feel a certain mutual connection whenever he was near a certain girl, the emotional connection with his soulmate that he didn't even know who, the spiritual feeling of nirvana that would always be reciprocated by his soulmate.
With open arms and a warming heart, the Sully family was being accepted except for one Metkayinan boy. Eclipses have passed and Aonung never even seemed to consider a glance of empathy for the forest Na'vis, in fact it led to a sour relationship that worsened moon after moon.
"Yeah, my soulmate is irritating. It's almost like they're just doing things on purpose to make me get hurt as well." you ranted to Tsireya, walking along the white sands of your clan and the reef that collided with the sand beneath the waters.
Though this state of focus you have on you and your sister's conversation quickly ended when there was an abrupt yell of: "Back off, Fish lips!"
Lo'ak's voice reflected around the bay, where the seas and white grains could only be seen in the eye. Tsireya was concerned, what was this ruckus?
She rushed to the scene, "What's going on?!" she questioned only to be met by a group of boys and two Omatikayan teenagers.
There stood an accelerating fight, Lo'ak pushing off the many hands shoving him and his dear older sister begging to stop.
"Baby tail! Look, it's so cu-" Aonung's continuous teasing has now stopped to a hault when another Sully child has appeared at the chaos, now trying to put an end to this childish mockery.
"Leave them alone. Now." the eldest child amongst the teased siblings now had a finger shoving Aonung's chest.
The signature smug look on the boy's face was still plastered, a smirk that succeeded to piss someone off every time. Despite being threatened or rather - warned, by the Sully kid, his cocky essence was still noticeable yet he still obeyed.
"Smart choice. And from now on.. I need you to respect my sister." he turned to Aonung, a tone laced with order and protection.
Rushing onto Aonung's side with Tsireya, ready to give a scolding to your hardheaded and asshole brother who could only act tough and laugh with his friends, continuing their torment about the Sully kids.
The peace soon came at a hault when Lo'ak turned back at the Metkayinans, "Lo'ak." a scolding voice from Neteyam erupted.
"Don't worry, bro, I got this."
"Look, I know this hand is funny, I'm a freak, alien." Lo'ak started, "But it can do something really cool. Watch." he brought his particularly thinner palm to a level that was clear to see by everyone.
"First, I just ball it up to a really tight first like this and-"
Knuckles came rapidly into Aonung's face, forceful punches from the Sully sending him toppling down at the white sands.
"Don't you ever touch my sister again, bitch!" he yelled, though was quickly tackled by Aonung now that he rose again.
There stood a mess of the teenagers who were all ganging up on Lo'ak, it was a mess, you didn't know how to stop this and so did Tsireya, only watching in amusement and concern beside Kiri.
It wasn't long after until the eldest Omatikayan son joined in the ruckus of fighting, toppling on one another like animals and gaining bruises from one another's foolishness.
Though the times where Neteyam would get hit, it shot a string of pain onto your body, definitely bruising and would have a purple shade on which part of your body - Neteyam, was taking a toll.
"A-Are you okay?" Tsireya asked as you clutched down on your abdomen and a bruising, aching face.
She held your hurting body to hers, about to run to your mother - the tsahik of Metkayina until,
"OW!"
Neteyam's nose was now forming a deep color of purple and quite a few drips of red. Though it appears not only did Neteyam get hurt, a girl who already had appearing bruises on her abdomen as well did. With a bunch of bruises on her body and now a swollen nose, Tsireya knew to currently rush her onto the Tsahik as the Sully children's father appeared in the scene, dragging away his three kids.
Arriving at the marui of your mother, "Oh my Eywa!" she exclaimed, quickly pulling you down in front of her and searched a basket of her herbs and medicines.
"Who did this to you?"
"No one, Mother. A fight broke out but I wasn't even included, it's almost like I was-" you explained, feeling the concern and worry of your mother at your hurt state until-
"Tsahik Ronal, may I intrude for a moment?" Jake Sully, the father of the Sully children and former Olo'eyktan of the Omatikaya asked.
The voice and entrance of the man had piqued your mother's interest, now glancing at the eldest son of Jake behind him, bruised and beaten with a few trickles of blood down his dewy skin.
Concern rose in your mother's chest, "Sit." she demanded.
"What happened, Jake Sully?" she took a patch from her basket of medical supplies that consisted natural herbs, ointments, etcetera.
"Y'know, reckless kids these days. My boy got in a fight."
She hummed, now disinfecting the fresh cuts that laid on his body. With a few dried seaweed to serve as bandaids were enough.
Now moving back to you, she continued to clean the wounds with water, not until she had a realization. How could this be?
"Sully, stand up."
The bruised boy obliged, standing up and dusting himself off.
"[Y/N], will you stand next to Neteyam for me?" the Tsahik or your mother requested, taking in the view and comparison at two of you.
"Have you two heard of the soulmate occurrence?" she now interrogated, curiousity filling her mind that was once clouded with concern.
"Mama, who hasn't? Almost everyone on Pandora did, I'm pretty sure ilus have soulmates as well." a sarcastic tone dripping from your tongue.
"Well it seems like this is the situation we have right now. Check your bruises and cuts, they all align."
You and Neteyam are now taken aback, two pairs of eyes scanning one another.
You already knew he looked at you like this even when you're not hurt.
She was right, they correspond. The heat now spreaded like wildfire in your cheeks.. too hot to only be yours, a drum in your heart too loud and fast to only be yours, this bubbly feeling and the butterflies in your stomach now too strong to only be yours.
"I suppose I should leave for now." your mother flees the marui, ushering out the former Omatikayan Olo'eyktan spitting out various 'what's?'.
Once silence fell, a short minute of thinking was lingering in the air, quiet.
"You know.. I do like you."
Your heart thumps.
Neteyam was never this bold. Was he only doing this because you two were meant for one another?
Silence once again, you couldn't even think straight, the overwhelming butterflies in your stomach was too much to handle, cheeks turning purple at the boy's boldness.
The string of tension was strong, only being stopped by avoiding to meet one another's glistening eyes.
"Ah!"
He yelped, the sudden stinging feeling on his thigh catching his attention. He turned to look at you, the view of your nails embedded into your thigh, leaving a crescent mark.
He smiles. The angel-like giggle that erupted from your lips made him smile. You make him smile like no one else does.
"I've always liked you too, dear soulmate."
His eyes seemed to light up, fireworks releasing in his heart and a soft laugh of disbelief that you like him. The girl that never failed to make his breath rigid and take it away likes him back.
He circled an arm around your waist, pulling you close to his chest and pressing a kiss against your forehead.
"No way this is real." he giggles, pressing further pecks of love around your face.

Jealousy, Jealousy…
Pairing: Neteyam Sully x fem!omaticaya!reader
Character: Neteyam, fem!reader, Aonung, Aonung’s unnamed friends
Warnings: jealousy obv, some arguing, a small amount of yelling, Neteyam’s a little possessive
Background Info: Months after the Battle of Three Brothers Rock, the oldest Sully son finds jealousy budding in him when he sees the chief's son and his friends getting a bit too close for his liking with Y/N, his lifelong best friend that came with him and his family when they left the forest.
Tumblr media
Neteyam rode back to the village on the back of his ilu (large plesiosaurlike sea creature) with Lo'ak and Tsireya, the three of them had left earlier that day shortly after dawn to catch fish. They went over to where all hunters would drop off their catches and dropped them off before Neteyam waved his goodbyes to the pair and swam away from them with his ilu, headed toward the beach.
He had promised you the night before that he would meet you on the beach after he went hunting, pleased when he saw you sat in the sand a bit of a ways away from him, waiting. As Neteyam got closer on his ilu he noticed Aonung and two other Metkayina boys that he recognized but didn't know the names of, standing next to you and Aonung was speaking to you, his arms crossed across his chest and a smirk on his face. Neteyam dismounted his ilu and detached his queue, allowing it to swim off before he swam over to shore, walking out of the water and shaking the water out of his braids before walking towards you and the boys.
As he neared you, he heard the end of the conversation you and Aonung were having, "Don't hesitate to ask to accompany us on a swim, Forest Girl. You'll be welcomed with open arms, anytime." Neteyam's tail flicked angrily as he picked up on the implication of Aonung's words as the boys behind him smirked and snickered, though you just blinked innocently up at the three of them and smiled a bit, not used to Aonung's kindness. "Thanks, I guess." As you responded you heard footsteps and turned to look, smiling as your best friend came into view and accepting the hand he offered to help you up when he reached you.
He returned your smile and gently rested a hand on the small of your back, missing the blush that appeared on your face at his touch as you brushed off the bit of sand on your legs. When you stood back up straight Neteyam was staring Aonung down, his ears pressed back against the sides of his head while his tail lashed around behind him, "If you don't mind, I've got plans with Y/N. See ya later fish lips." Neteyam spit the words out with venom, you looked at him a bit surprised as he never said that to Aonung’s face, and exclaimed quietly, "Nete!" as he rudely walked off, though you willingly stayed by his side and walked with him, waving goodbye to the Metkayina boys behind you. The two of you walked in silence for a bit, his hand slowly slipping down from your back until he dropped it to his side completely, ears still pressed back against his head and tail still lashing around angrily behind him as he walked.
You picked up on his sour mood and frowned a bit, gently grabbing his hand and stopping in your tracks, forcing him to stop as well and he turned to face you. "What's wrong Nete? Why are you so upset all of a sudden?" You pressed him, sighing quietly when he didn't answer and instead moved his gaze from your eyes to beside your head to avoid eye contact. You almost immediately moved your head to the side to force eye contact, both of you knowing he couldn't lie to your face as you continued speaking, "Why were you so rude to them? They have done nothing!" He scoffed quietly and the noise made your brow furrow, your own tail starting to flick against your leg in annoyance.
Neteyam once again refused to speak, though his mood seemed to calm a bit as you stared at each other. Still pressing for an answer you began to speak again, voice coming out firmer now, "Neteyam—" he growled quietly and finally spoke, cutting you off, "I don't like how they looked at you!" You looked at him, slightly confused but remained quiet to let him continue, gently squeezing his hand in yours before he turned to face you completely, standing right in front of you and gently taking your other hand in his own. "I didn't.. I hate how they spoke to you. They were definitely not only talking about going for a swim with you, though yes I am aware that that's all they were actually talking about. You are my—” He paused, eyes focused on your conjoined hands before he gently squeezed yours, eyes flicking up to meet your own, “my best friend.." He finished, your eyebrows lifting slightly as you caught on to what he almost said, though from the look in his eye you knew it was not to be said aloud just yet.
You sighed quietly, dropping his hands from your own before gently cupping his face with both your hands, eyes closing as you leaned in and gently pressed your forehead to his. You did not need him to say the word in order to understand what he had wanted to say. After a moment, he also let out a deep sigh and brought his hands up to gently hold yours against his face, your tail wrapping loosely around his calf, then you smiled when you felt his tail wrap around your thigh in return.
"Ma Neteyam.. you do not need to worry about those boys. They may be nice, but I am yours. Friend or.. otherwise." You spoke, leaning back and opening your eyes to look into his own, smiling softly as his ears perked up, thumb rubbing lightly over your hand that still cupped his cheek before he turned his head slightly and pressed a soft kiss to your palm, eyes remaining locked on yours as he did so.
"There's my Nete." You nearly whispered as he smiled down at you, the two of you just watching each other until you both noticed it had begun to get darker as eclipse set in, both of you looking up to see the sun disappearing before you looked to Neteyam again, his smile wider now "I just remembered what I wanted to show you!" With that he gently took your hands off his face but kept hold of one as he turned and started running towards where you both and the rest of his family had left their ikran (banshee) to rest, you easily kept up with him as you two went.
You reached the ikran and he let go of your hand to put on his eye guard before handing you yours, you put yours on with a smile before you both mounted your ikran and flew off together. As Neteyam flew up towards the mountain of the island, you followed him, smiling as the stars began to come out around you. It only took a few short minutes for the two of you to reach the mountain, flying into a large cave after Neteyam before you both landed your ikran, hopping off and lifting your eye guard before storing it in the small satchel that you had connected to your ikran's saddle.
Looking over to see Neteyam already watching you with a small smile on his face, you returned the smile before walking over to him, ears flicking happily as he gently took one of your hands before beginning to lead you deeper into the cave. He lead you into a tunnel and you both walked for a few minutes in the darkness, your eyes tracing over the bioluminescent dots littered across his back as he walked partially ahead of you. Eventually you made it into a different, much bigger cave and you had to momentarily cover your eyes as you had adjusted to the darkness of the tunnel.
Once your eyes adjusted to the unexpected brightness, you opened them and gasped quietly at the sight of all the large, bioluminescent plants littering every corner of the cave. Neteyam let go of your hand and smiled down at you when you looked up at him, "Found this place and thought of you immediately. Go look around, pretty girl." You smiled brightly at his words and slowly walked forward, smiling wide as you noticed that the moss on the ground of the cave glowed with every step you took, then you looked up at the ceiling and sighed happily at the sight of tons of atokirina (seeds of the great tree) flying around.
You looked behind you to see Neteyam following you with a soft smile on his face, so you walked back to him and leaned in to whisper in his ear, gently tapping his shoulder as you did so, "Tag, you're it." With that you turned and took off before he could fully process what you said, then the two of you were running through the cave, your hands brushing against the glowing leaves as you went. It didn't take long before Neteyam caught up and tackled you, turning the two of you as you fell so he would be the one to hit the ground, making a quiet "oof!" noise as he did. The two of you were laughing quietly, you rolled over to face him and curled up against his side, the dry mossy floor of the cave reminding you a lot of the forest.
Eventually you both calmed down, one of his hands playing with your hair while you traced the glowing dots across Neteyam's torso, his breath hitching quietly and hand momentarily stopping in your hair whenever your hand brushed over his abdomen though you never went further, both of you silently agreeing that it was much too early for anything of that sort between the two of you. You sighed quietly in content as you lifted your head to look at him, blushing slightly to find he was once again already watching you, a soft look in his eyes. "Thank you for bringing me here, it is beautiful." You spoke softly, noting how the dots on your own skin reflected in his eyes.
Neteyam smiled softly down at you, leaning down slightly to press a light kiss to your forehead, "Not as beautiful as you, ma yawne (my beloved)."

Hello ! May i ask for a Neteyam x reader, older sister if Aonung and Tsireya, who is a huge pain in the but and loves to tease people and her favorite victim is Neteyam, to try and crumble that perfect son/brother/warrior facade. So she relentlessly makes fun of him, saying what a good boy he is and stuff like that in public, where they discover that he has a praise kink, and she uses that to her advantage and embarass him? Kinda like what u did with Aonung, and thank u love your writing :)
You asked, you shall recieve.
I've actually been contemplating my entire sex life while writing this. New kink unlocked I guess? 🔓✨

Your arrival back at Awa'atlu got announced through the entire village. The news that you had returned spread rapidly, so your family and a few other friends and villagers rushed so the shore to greet you.
Once you disconnected your queue from your skimwing and dismounted, you walked towards your family with a wide grin and swinging hips.
The Sullys also joined the Metkayinas to greet you, and they quickly caught your attention since they really stood out from your clan.
Your parents greeted you first, both of them layed a hand onto each one of your shoulders.
"Welcome back, daughter." Tonowari said happily, he was pretty relieved to see you were unharmed.
Once you had greeted them, you moved over to Tsireya and gave her a quick hug. She was way too nice to gossip about these new people, so you made your way over to Ao'nung, greeting him with a sturdy handshake.
While holding onto his arm, you pulled him closer, shoulder to shoulder. "Who brought these demons here?" you mumbled in a low voice, making eye contact with them as they watched from a distance.
Ao'nung huffed.
"Pleaded for Uturu. Father couldn't say no."
Once he let go of you, you exchanged annoyed looks.
"Of course. Let me guess, mother tried to kill them?"
"More or less."
Both of you laughed and walked off together.
"How could you tell they're-"
"Demon blood?", you ended the sentence for your brother, "It's the stench. I can smell it from here."
Ao'nung couldn't help but grin at your remark.
"You should see them try to swim, it looks ridiculous."
"these forest freaks aren't good at anything, huh?"
Exchanging only these few sentences with him showed him once more how alike you were. Sometimes you two seemed more like twins than siblings.
"Come, I'll introduce you to them. This will be funny."
He headed towards the Sullys and you followed.
"Who's that?" Lo'ak asked his father quietly as you and Ao'nung approached. Rotxo heard the interaction as he stood close by.
"This is (Y/N), she's the oldest daughter of our tsahik and olo'eyktan." he explained quietly.
You mustered the guests of your clan one by one.
"They don't share that much resemblance" Kiri remarked in a low volume, to which Rotxo only raised his brows.
"Don't get fooled. If you already have trouble getting along with Ao'nung, you better stay away from her."
Loak crossed his arms before his chest while Neteyam watched every step you came closer to them with your swinging hips.
"So you say, Ao'nung is a harmless version of her?" Neteyam asked without taking his eyes off of you.
"Uhuh. Ao'nung can be hard to deal with sometimes, but (Y/N)... she's the bigger problem."
Rotxo got completely quiet once you came close enough to hear them.
'Their bodies look so useless' you signalled to your brother in sign language, to which his smirk only grew.
This could only get interesting, you thought to yourself as you noticed the oldest son staring at you.
~~~
A few days had passed in which the sully kids did as they were advised to. As much as they could they tried to get out of your way.
Ao'nung and you had a lot of fun laughing and joking about them, mostly in sign language so they couldn't understand completely.
You were chilling in the shade of the trees as you watched the oldest son cool off his feet in the shallow water. The things your brother had told you about him only made him more interesting for you to mess with.
Your eyes focussed on him like a predator watched his prey. He seemed so weak, so skinny. From his shoulders to his arms, even his wrists, his legs, his tail. He looked so easy to break.
"You're the oldest son, right?" you called out as you made your way over to him. Just the mere sound of your voice made him jump. He hadn't seen you at all, and suddenly you appeared out of nowhere.
"Uh- yes. I'm Neteyam."
Oh, his voice. How heavenly would it sound to hear him whine and cry?
His entire body shuddered as he saw your devilish grin. That alone made him uneasy. The confidence that you brought with you was visible in every step.
"Neteyam, hmm. I'm (Y/N). My brother told me a lot about you."
Neteyam greeted you very formally, gesturing 'i see you' while holding his head low.
You bit back a laugh as he did so.
"What a nice young man you are. I thought demon blood doesn't come with manners."
In silence, Neteyam swallowed. He only watched you carefully since this was the first time he was this close to you, and after a while, he regretted mustering you like that.
He had to admit, you were stunningly beautiful. The perfect teal palette across your skin, these deep ocean eyes, gorgeous black curls, what was not to like about you?
"Come on, greet me like a man." you huffed, holding your wide arm out to him. It felt like a challenge, to both of you.
Only hesitantly he copied the way Ao'nung had greeted you the first time he had layed his eyes on you. As his thin fingers crashed against yours he flinched and hissed, even more so at your tight grasp around his hand and the powerful, rough shake that followed.
You smirked as he held his arm in pain, checking the palm of his hand  as you released his hand.
"Not too bad for a skinny forest boy like you."
Neteyam couldn't say anything, even less as you circled him.
It was your time to check him out closely. "What's this?" you asked as you wrapped his tail around your hand, tugging at it lightly.
You watched the boy stiffen instantly, which lead you to smirk even wider.
"If you could not-" he mumbled under his breath, somehow unable to move away from you. His body was almost frozen in place.
"Hmm... your body looks rather weak... but so delicious." Neteyam's eyes ripped open at your remark, every nerve of his body began to shiver. He had surely misunderstood, he told himself over and over again, even if the way you licked your lips said something else.
"How's your breathing going?" you asked, stopping in front of him.
He couldn't possibly look into your eyes so he simply stared down at the ground.
"Good, I think?"
"Do you, hm?"
"Y-yes."
Eywa, why did he stutter? Why on pandora couldn't he focus? He felt so small next to you.
"Sit, pretty boy."
He had no idea how you did it, but his knees weakened beneath him instantly at your command. What kind of magic was this?
Before he knew it he knelt down in the shallow water which reached up to his waist. You chuckled at his reaction and knelt next to him.
Both of your hands rested on Neteyam. One hand was flat against his chest, the other one on his stomach. He was quick to follow your order as you asked him to take a deep breath.
"Good, just like this. You're doing so well."
The young man swallowed at your words, feeling a sudden warmth in his cheeks and his abdomen. How could a few words feel so good?
"Now exhale, slowly."
He closed his eyes while doing so, hoping that it would help him to focus.
It did not.
Two of your fingers gently traced over his chest. It was easy to see just how much all of this overwhelmed him, but you expected as much.
Ao'nung had told you that Neteyam always tried to be the perfect son, that he couldn't break through his thick skin and bring him out of focus. He could do that with Lo'ak, he was a lot easier to mess with, but Ao'nung was certain you would find a way to break Jake's oh so perfect son.
And you did.
"Good boy~" you cooed quietly, not too far from his twitching ear.
Neteyam fought with himself internally. A voice in his mind told him to run, run as far as he could without looking back. Get away from you right now, as long as he could.
The voice reminded him of what Rotxo said about you. 'Stay away from her, she's the bigger problem. If you don't get along with Ao'nung already, don't mess with her'
These words played in his head on repeat, until you silenced them at once with your own voice.
"Can you do it again? I'm impressed, pretty boy. Who could've thought you're doing so perfect."
He swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded before doing as he was told to. Your words awakened a certain feeling in him, making it even harder to focus.
"Breathe from here." you whispered as you applied pressure to his stomach. He wanted to fail more so you would touch him more, but he couldn't bring himself to do so. Your reassuring praise felt heavenly.
Neteyam bit on his lower lip as he tried to breathe like you told him to, but it seemed as if his body wasn't listening to him anymore.
"My my," you chuckled, lifting your hand from his chest and placing it flat against his back instead, "your heart is going completely wild, pretty boy. Do I make you uncomfortable?"
'yes. yes, YES! Fuck, yes!' the voice in his head screamed, but what he said came out a tiny bit different.
"Not at all."
'Fuck, why did I say this?!' he internally protested, biting down on his lip harder. He was drugged, all high, completely drunk from your mere presence, touch and a few simple words.
"Good, because I'd hate to leave right now. I'm having so much fun with you."
Neteyam shuddered again at your words. No matter how loud he yelled and cursed internally, he couldn't move. He couldn't say anything against your touch.
It felt so good, and you words...
By eywa, he had to hold himself from begging for you to repeat yourself.
He took another deep breath, whimpering as you layed your hand to rest on his thigh, squeezing his flesh ever so gently.
"So obedient, I like it. You're such a perfect, handsome boy, hm?"
Neteyam only whimpered again, his thigh jerked as your hand stroked his leg up and down gently.
"Use your pretty mouth."
He exhaled heavily and nodded multiple times.
"I am. I'm your perfect handsome boy."
'What the hell?! Why did i say this? What am I doing here?' His thoughts ran wild at his own words but quickly got silenced with another chuckle from you.
"Yes you are. Do you think you could do me a favour, please? It would make you the very best boy on pandora. You would make me so proud and happy."
His eager nods made you lick your lips. He shivered beneath your touch, yet he bobbed his head up and down.
As he opened his eyes and looked into yours, he swallowed at the sight of your beautiful face so close to his.
"Anything you want me to do." he breathed out subconsciously.
You leaned forward to his ear, parting your lips slowly before whispering into his ear.
"Touch yourself for me, pretty boy."
He couldn't help but hiccup at your words, his cheeks turned eyen darker.
"Huh?"
"You heard me. I'm not stupid, I can see that you're thinking about it already. I want you to touch yourself until you can't think straight anymore."
Neteyam breathed rather heavily now, feeling a wave of shame wash over him. It took a few seconds until he hesitantly did what you ordered him to do and reached down between his legs and under his loincloth.
He spread his legs further apart before his shaky hand wrapped around his length carefully.
"Are you that sensitive?" you whispered with a triumphant expression, to which he hummed.
"Talk to me, pretty boy, don't be rude."
"Yes! Yes I am!"
He pumped his hand up and down his shaft with a shameful face that he tried to hide.
You lifted his face up to yours and ordered him to look at you, which he did rather hesitantly.
"You've been training so hard, my brave little warrior, you deserve more recognition. I'm so proud of you, you're doing so well."
Instantly, Neteyam's hand clenched around his length tighter.
His eyes were halfway lidded in shame and lust, battling inside of him.
"Do your parents know you're so dirty?"
"N-no, please, don't tell anyone!" he begged, but you wuickly hushed him.
"If you keep touching yourself like this, I'm not gonna say a word. So keep going, let me see how beautiful you are, let me hear your pretty cries."
His body did as he was told to without him even initiating it all.
You gave him a proud smile and it worked like oil to his fire. Fiercly jerking his hand up and down his shaft he whimpered and cried out ever so softly.
"You sound so hot, pretty boy. You're almost making me wanna touch myself. But watching you like this is so much more fun. You're so gorgeous, such a delicious sight."
Neteyam bucked his hips forward to fuck into his hand harder. His moans and whimpers got louder too while he pleasured himself to the sound of your voice.
"such a perfect little solider, all hard only for me."
"only for you, just you, mmh.." he mewled in satisfaction as you gently stroked over his shoulders.
"That's what I wanna hear, you're doing so well, keep going like this."
He could feel himself getting closer, so he eagerly kept pumping, using his other hand to fumble with his plump balls.
"Can... can I..." you heard him breath out weakly so you looked around.
"Not yet, keep it in only a bit longer. I know you can do it, be a good boy for me, will you?"
His face twisted at your words, it started to hurt not to let go just yet. Again you looked around, spotting Ao'nung, Lo'ak and Kiri in the distance.
The plan worked just fine.
"What are we doing here?" Lo'ak groaned at your brother before he spotted you too.
"I saw Neteyam here earlier and you were looking for him, weren't you?"
Neteyam was too deep in his trance to notice them approaching.
"What is (Y/N) doing here with him though?" Ao'nung asked curiously, even if he knew exactly what you did to him. He bit back his grin and faked a serious visage.
"Say it again, pretty boy, what are you? How do you feel? I want to hear you loud and clear, gorgeous. Finish yourself while you say it." you whispered, making him groan loudly.
"I'm yours, your good boy! It feels so good, too good, fuck! P-please let me cum!" he whined loudly, his mind completely clouded in lust.
"Then cum for me, handsome little toy slut."
You barely finished the sentence before he came beneath the water surface. The air around was filled with his echoing cries and pants. His eyes widened afterwards, thinking about your last few words.
Ao'nung enjoyed the horrified faces on Lo'ak and Kiri.
Neteyam leaned forward, supporting himself on his shaky hands, trying to catch his breath. "T-toy?" he repeated with a weak, unsteady voice. His heart clenched together as he saw the smirk on your face, it seemed to differ from the one that had lingered on your face while you had made him feel so good.
"Yeah. You're a toy. A toy with an audience as I see. I think you have some explaining to do." You couldn't help but giggle as tears built up in his eyes as he saw his siblings standing not too far away, next to them Ao'nung who looked pretty amused.
"You...planned this?"
His hoarse voice was almost too quiet to understand due to the lapping waves around.
"Hmm, I wouldn't say planned but we had some kind of rough vision."
You whispered and patted his shoulder a few times as you got up while he stared at you from the corners of his eyes.
"We?" His eyes were filled with hatred all of a sudden as he understood that his siblings didn't appear out of nowhere. All of this happened because you wanted it to happen. Ao'nung had led them here on purpose.
"Fuck you..." he muttered through clenched teeth, as another tear streamed down his face.
"Hmm, how about you do that yourself, again? I didn't do anything."
Kiri and Lo'ak were absolutely shocked, they weren't able to bring out one word while you walked up to Ao'nung, high-fiving him with a wide grin.
"That was so easy, and you seriously struggled with him?" you laughed once you were out of range for them to hear, looking back to the mess you had made out of Neteyam. He still knelt in the shallow water and cried his heart out for being so stupid, disgusted by himself.
✧ Encounter
Pairing: Aonung x  Omatikaya Reader (aka Jake’s second eldest daughter)
Summary: You’re the daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri, and when your family moved to the Metkayina Clan, you met a rude Na’vi boy. But as time passes, will this hatred for him grow into something else?
Theme: fluff, angst-mostly debating with one another, challenge.
Word count: 4094
Warning: Expect some English errors, as English is not my first language.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
You already expect that the Tsahik won’t welcome you like Tonowari himself, after your family landed on the shore, feeling the sand on your feet and wanting to stretch after a long flight.
Your gaze was drawn to your father, who was now walking toward the Metkayina Na'vi people, both hands raised.
"Little sis, right here,"
When you heard your brother call out for you, you didn't waste time and walked toward Neteyam, quietly ruffling Lo'ak's hair as he grumbledly brushed your hand away.
Chuckling at his reaction, you wanted to continue teasing him, but when two Na’vi boys come out of the crowd, your eyes can’t help but dart back and forth at them. while your big brother Neteyam and little brother Lo’ak greeted them.
You followed suit but hearing this Na’vi boy that wasn’t even a minute he started making fun of Neteyam’s tail. You snarled at him before stopping when your mother called.
"Y/N" Neytiri is eyeing you to behave, but even if she’s scolding you, she has a hint of a smile.
"I’m cool," You said reassuring them that you won’t launch at them eyeing your father who also eyed you and once he return his gaze in front, you and your brothers gazed at the upcoming Na’vi girl.
Upon seeing her, you won’t lie; she’s beautiful. Your eyes then caught Lo’ak form whose attention is still on the Na’vi girl, you leaned toward him, whispering.
"Little bro, did someone already get your attention?" You smirk, then chuckle as he moves you away from him.
Followed by Neteyam, who gave you a knowing eye to which you simply returned; Lo’ak watching this could only sigh. grumbling as to why he has two idiot siblings.
Still, he greets her, "Hey"
Smirking as Lo’ak has the guts to greet her, Proud at the same time that your little brother has the confidence. as your eyes were about to look at your father again and the upcoming chief.
You caught the tall Metkayina Na’vi boy who was looking at you and giving you a smiling smirk. to which you simply rolled your eyes.
"I guess Lo’ak isn’t the only one."
"Oh, shut up," you whispered, punching Neteyam playfully.
When you saw the chief land on the water next to your family, you immediately wanted what he had just ridden at. When Kiri and Lo'ak saw your desire-filled eyes, they could only shake their heads and sigh at their older sister.
As your father gestured, "I see you," to the chief, you followed suit. It wasn’t that long before the Tsahik was already making her way toward where your family is.
"I see you, Ronal," Jake said. And again, you followed.
"Why do you come to us, Jake Sully?" Tonowari asks
"We seek Uturu."
"Uturu?"
"Yes, a shelter for my family," Jake replied to Ronal, who began to walk her way toward where your mother was holding her now tail, seemingly checking them.
As Jake was busy talking to the chief, here you are focused on the Tsahik who grabbed Tuk’s forearm. Noting how your kind has a thin arm, she moves toward Kiri and grabs her tail.
"The tails are weak,"
Kiri then grabs her tail back, expressing how the Tsahik grabs it roughly. "You’ll be slow in the water," she continued, and once her eyes landed on Kiri’s hand, she continued to grab her.
Showing it to the Metkayina clan, "These children are not even true Na’vi."
"Dad," Kiri whispered, looking at Jake, and once her eyes landed on yours, Kiri didn’t have to say your name as you moved toward her, moving her away from the Tsahik.
"Yes, we are!" You exclaimed as you reclaimed Kiri's hand.
Ronal first looks at you and then moves toward Lo'ak, showing his hand as well. "They have demon blood!" Once she let out those words, everyone gasped, and some snarled at them. You simply snarled back, but didn't as Kiri looked at you, urging you not to.
"Look, look." Watching your dad show his hand to her, you can’t help but glance at your own, which only has four fingers, unlike Kiri and Lo’ak. As Jake explained the reason why your family have it.
"We will adapt, okay?" Once he said those words, your mother walked forward, telling them how your dad is Toruk Makto. Once she let those words out, he didn’t hide his cringe face.
Telling them that Jake led them to victory against the sky people.
"This called victory? Hiding among strangers? It seems Eywa has turned her back on you, chosen one" When Ronal let those sentences out, you finally got what they meant when they said that you are like your mother, as she hissed at the Tsahik.
"I apologize for my mate; she’s come a long way, and she’s very exhausted." While Jake apologizes and Neytiri tries to stop him, here you are shushing Tuk and saying that everything will be all right.
As the chief introduced your father to the clan to the point that they agreed to let your family stay, it still stings your pride when he says, "So they would be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our way so that they do not suffer the shame of being "useless."
"What do we say?" Hearing your dad, you inhale, first swallowing your pride. before thanking them.
"My son Ao’nung and daughter Tsireya will show your children what to do."
"Father why-"
"It is decided" Tonowari cut his words before he could decline, and just like you. He too swallows some of his pride and once his eyes landed on yours. You simply return his smile.
"Come, I will show you our village." As Tsireya moves forward, helping with the other item, you follow behind Kiri, who wears an annoyed expression.
"I think it won’t be that bad." You said as you two are on your way to your new home. "Or not," once you saw where you will be staying, and just like your mother’s expression of exhaustion, you also held one.
Hearing a snickering from behind you, you already suspected who they were, and when you are about to reach for your bow, Lo’ak stops you, giving you a look at how it’s not worth it.
"Just checking if it’s still there, little bro." You lied while smiling at him, which he didn’t believe.
Tsireya is the kindest Na’vi you have ever met, as she showed you the village and what they eat and use to hunt. You learned new things, and by new things, you also learned to maintain yourself before you decided to launch yourself at her brother, who keeps laughing from the background.
"Do you hear that, big bro? I hear a sound of beating."
"You can continue listening to that when we go home."
"Then I won’t hear it any more."
Neteyam chuckled, ruffling your hair, followed by Lo'ak, who chuckled but kept his eyes on someone; Kiri rolled her eyes at her three siblings. Soon after that, it was already evening, and dad called for a family meeting.
"Kiri"
"What?" Kiri grumbles as Neytiri scolds her again to listen. Neytiri didn’t have to say anything once she eyed you; you already got the message.
"This will be quick," you said, reassuring her.
"Okay, I need you kids in your best behavior, and am talking about you Y/N"
"Me? Why me- yes sir." you sigh agreeing as he was giving you a look.
"And mean it, learn fast," Jake sighed. "Don’t cause trouble," he said, then glanced at Lo’ak. "Got it?"
"Yes sir."
Neteyam chuckled. His hands are now on both your napes, playfully teasing you two. while you and Lo’ak hissed at him.
"I want to go home." Seeing Tuk crying, broke your heart.
"Tuk, this is our home now... We’re gonna get through this. And when we do this if we have each other’s back, right?"
"What does your father always say?" Neytiri asked, glancing at her children.
"Sully, stick together." You and Neteyam said it loudly, while Lo’ak just mumbled it, as for Kiri, who didn’t even say it.
You eyed at her to which she rolled her eyes… "Sully, stick together." Kiri mumbled that only she heard it.
"Kiri…" you mumble.
"That’s right Sully’s stick together… But this time with some feelings"
"Sully's stick together."
The family decided to rest for the evening at the end of the day, after repeating the quote with some emotion, because you and your siblings will be taking some lessons tomorrow.
While you laid next to Tuk, cuddling her for the night, you couldn’t help but whisper something to Kiri.
"I know this is a different place than our last home... but please cooperate; dad and mom are more exhausted than us."
Kiri rolled her eyes, turning her back away from you and mumbling how she knew as you always repeated it to her.
"Yet you never listen... sorry, I come to strong on that. Just tomorrow, show them that you listen. Good night, Kiri; you too, Tuk. I know your awake, as well as everyone." You chuckled when they flinched at your words.
Nonetheless, following your speech for Kiri, Jake and Neytiri already knew from the beginning that you will be a good Tsahik one day, even though you have a little bit attitude that you still need to work, but who can blame you? You got it from your mom.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
"Ladies first."
You smiled at Ao’nung. Today is the day they will teach you their way, and the first lesson is to calm your nerves.
You then gestured your palm at the ocean and said, "No, after you. Ladies first, right?" and seeing his glaring eyes, you're already satisfied. Not only do your siblings laugh at your remark, but so does his friend, who stopped talking when he snarled at them.
As him, Rotxo and Tsireya jump on the water followed by your two brothers. You joined Kiri and Tuk. Once you opened your eyes, you didn’t hide your amazement when you saw the surroundings.
It was beautiful and pretty at the same time. Feeling a nag from your side, it snaps you from daydreaming and causes you to glance at Neteyam, who then gestures for you to follow them.
When you were about to follow them, your eyes glanced toward where Kiri was, but seeing that she was swimming away, you let her be for now.
In one word, they were fast, and you hate to admit it, but they’re faster than you. You are known for your speed and agility, but they simply beat you at the ocean. with just that it opened your challenge page.
Though you got the hang of the breathing technique and your three siblings had to go up to breathe at the same time, you only shrugged your shoulders at Tsireya, who was asking.
On the next part your siblings swim to the surface again. While you swam next to Tsireya, Ao'nung did something to his hand that you didn't understand, so you looked at Tsireya and asked what he meant.
She simply smiled at you and gestured for you to go up. You first made a quick glance at Ao’nung, gesturing your hand to your eyes and telling him that if he says something bad, he will regret it.
In a simple gesture, the "I'm watching you"
Ao'nung couldn't help but laugh when he saw it, and he then signed to Rotxo, -She may be annoying, but she's good at holding her breath.-
-I know, she didn’t even went up… also what those she mean by that?-  Rotxo repeated what you did a minute ago.
-Isn't it obvious? She’s eyeing at me-
-Does that mean she's into you?-
-Maybe-
As you and Tsireya are now on the surface, her asking if they’re alright
"Your to fast, wait for us." Tuk started rubbing the water away from her eyes.
"Sorry Tuk, you know big sister doesn’t like someone going faster than her." You swim toward her, whispering this sentence.
It's a good thing that Tsireya didn’t hear you. "Just breathe, like Y/N did."
When you were about to thank her, taking it as a compliment, Ao’nung came to view, saying, "You are not good divers. Might be good at swinging through the trees, but-" It was a good thing that Tsireya did it before you could.
When she smacked his head.
"Come on bro" Lo’ak said followed by Neteyam who then showed his four finger "We don’t speak this finger… We don’t know what you're saying."
"I will teach you," Tsireya said.
"But doesn’t your sister already know it?" Ao’nung then eyed you, to which you looked at him confused, and he repeated the thing you did.
Neteyam and Lo'ak look at you, exhaustion visible in their eyes. They already knew what you meant. "What? I’m simply warning him." You shrugged, glaring at Ao’nung.
In return, he simply smirked at you, repeating the gesture once again.
‘This fish face’  you thought, gritting your teeth and smirking as well, ‘if that’s what you want’
---
"This are Ilu; if you want to live here, you have to ride." Ao’nung after calling the Ilu, but you're looking for the other one.
Raising your hand "Ah, aren’t we going to ride the other one?" And when they laughed at what you just said, you gave them a confused look.
"You are not prepared for that yet; even we don’t have one. and I don’t think you can get one."
That’s where Ao’nung was wrong, and even if the brothers and Tuk were gesturing for him to stop talking, they would only sigh once he let out those words.
Ao’nung, Tsireya and Rotxo looks at their confuse, defeated look.
"Why? What is wrong?" Tsireya asked Lo'ak, who simply pointed at you.
"Is that a challenge?" You were smirking at him, and for some reason that smirk gave different feedback to Ao’nung, but he simply smirked as well.
"If you think it that way, sure."
"Alright, brothers, and Tuk, you know what will happen." You turned to face them, who simply sighed, knowing where this would lead and how they needed to make an excuse.
You then turned to face Ao’nung again. "and you. I’m excited to see your surprised look once I get one. The first Omatikaya to get one... well, next to my dad."
As you said those words, you immediately mounted the Ilu, swimming away from them, wanting to find one as soon as possible. If you were still there, you could see their surprise at how you handled and rode the Ilu.
That quick.
Ao’nung glanced at the brothers.
"You asked for it, and yeah... better prepare." Neteyam said mounting his Ilu as well, following you behind noting to Lo’ak and Tuk to take care of the excuse.
Lo'ak, who only looks at Tuk "Why is it always me?" she grumbled, knowing that in the end she would make up an excuse.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Finding one wasn't as hard as you thought, but getting one isn't as hard as well, as it automatically charges at you, which you dodge.
And when you jump on top of it, they immediately move away from you.
You repeated the action, and unlike your Ikran, with whom you didn't have to fight as much, this creature captured your energy, and you like it.
Neteyam was on the sidelines watching it from afar, hoping for you to stop it before the Tsurak did something he doesn't want to think about, but knowing how stubborn you are. He simply hopes that this will be over.
And he's prepared if something bad happens.
With the final charge of the Tsurak, you immediately dodge it again while at the same time punching it with the rock you picked up, wanting to make it dizzy, and as soon as you hit it, you immediately made your bond with it.
While Neteyam was cheering from the distance, here you are swimming with it right away. If you have to score how you like it, you really love it because it has the speed that you want.
Riding one is like riding an Ikran, but in water. If you rate it on difficulty, the Tsurak is no match for your mother's fury.
Once you rise from the surface, the Tsurak doesn’t wait long and opens its wings, and as you dive again, wanting to show itself to Ao’nung and its friend.
The chief, along with some members of the clan, has their eyes set on you when you rise from the sky, and oh boy, their eyes were about to jump out of their sockets. What's more, Jake, who’s also the same, is gritting his teeth as you disobey him again.
Still, he was proud, as you’re the first to ever ride one.
kind of crushed his pride for a second,
Back to where Lo’ak and Tuk where, while Tuk was busy feeding her Ilu.
Lo’ak was still struggling, but he was getting there.
As for Ao’nung and his friend who keeps making fun of Lo’ak when all of the sudden an Tsurak come to out of nowhere, startling them to the point that they stumble down and watching them get away.
"That was worth it!" you exclaimed, bringing your Tsurak down and gently patting it.
Lo’ak and Tuk wore a proud smile. And the others looked amazed; Your smirking face soon turned to dread when you saw your father approaching.
You immediately look at Lo’ak and Tuk, eyeing them, and ask for their help, to which they simply avert their eyes.
'You traitors!'
When you saw Jake approaching, you went down and pushed the Tsurak away, who expressed his sadness that you were already rejecting him.
"No, you just need to hide. If Dad sees you, he won’t let me see you again." You were grateful that it understood you, and once you turned around,
"Hey dad! Didn’t see you, haha... How was the lesson? Fuck"
Outside the Chief house stand Neteyam, Tuk, Lo’ak and Kiri who then asks what was happening and when she learned what you did. She couldn’t help but chuckle.
Only to shut her mouth as her siblings are eyeing her to be quiet, they got startled when they heard a booming sound from inside the chief house.
"You know what you did is dangerous, right? Why did you mount one?" Tonowari asks.
You first glanced at Ao'nung, and instead of saying the truth, "When I first saw it, in my mind. All I could think of was to mount one... I’m sorry-"
"And you will! You could have died because of your fantasy!"
"I apologize for my daughter's behavior. I would take it from here."
You apologize again, and as soon as you went out, you got dragged by your father, followed by your siblings and mother.
What you didn’t know nor did your parents know is that, back at the chief's house, the leader and Tsahik were talking to their children about this event, and instead of scolding them, they told them a story about how their mother Ronal did it as well.
And how Tonowari fell in love with their mother.
While Tsireya saw it as cute, Ao’nung rolled his eyes, but now that they mention it... and when he saw you showing him the Tsurak, he couldn’t help but smile.
---
It was a painful scolding. more painful when you accidentally shot a Na’vi with your arrow, thankfully it’s not a real one.
While your siblings are giving you a sympathetic look and Neytiri is wearing a proud smile, showing it how "this is my daughter, the first to mount one at that age!"
Your dad on the other side was furious. "Didn’t I tell you to behave? Yet you disobey my orders!" He then called Neteyam, asking where he was and, as a big brother, yada yada.
You got sick of it and stood up to leave. And when Jake was about to call you Neytiri, stop him.
"My Jake leave her for a bit she already got told to."
"She needs to learn... but I'm proud of her for doing that." Neytiri smiled when Jake said this, pushing the kids out before they got scolded.
Right now, you're at the rock side admiring the calm water and quietly wiping your tears away, and when you saw your brother Neteyam, you quickly looked away.
"If you’re here to bring me back-"
"No, I won’t… That was pretty rowdy back there. Huh?" Hearing his chuckling made your feelings worse. You then looked at him, and when he saw your tears streaming down your face,
"I’m not angry because I was scolded; I’m angry because Dad always blames it on you... and yet, you just laugh it away."
"What is wrong with you?" you said, wiping your tears.
Neteyam understood immediately what you meant; he then turned to face the sea and said, "I'm the oldest... I need to look out for my siblings, like dad and mom do."
"But getting scolded because you didn’t do your duty right? Isn’t that unfair? It’s not even your fault; to be fair, it’s mine. But it always finds it way to you" You then took the rock that was lying next to you and used it to throw your anger away by throwing it at the water.
"I see your point… but that's just the way life is."
"No, it’s not! We have a choice." You then got to your feet and walked away from him. Neteyam could only sigh, concluding that it was best to leave you alone.
Ao'nung was listening with concern on the other side of the rock from where You and Neteyam were. At first, he was out looking for you, and when he saw you sitting alone on top of the rock, he planned to talk to you, but then Neteyam appeared.
He quickly hid, and when you walked away, he quietly followed you.
"Stop following me, or I might punch you in the face-" only for your fist to stop mid-air, thinking that the one who was following you was Neteyam.
But when you saw Ao’nung raising his hand, you didn’t dare hide your annoyed look.
"What?" You firmly say, "If you’re here to make fun of me, do it right away-"
"I’m not here for that."
"Then what?"
"Join me first, then I tell you."
You rolled your eyes and pursed your lips only to sigh as you didn’t have the energy to fight him, and seeing that he didn’t plan to play some prank on you, you agreed.
"So why are we swimming? You could just tell me on the shore."
"It’s more fun this way."
"I’m out," you said, trying to swim back, only for Ao’nung to stop you when he held your hand.
"Okay, I will tell," he first exhaled, "when you left, mother and father were proud."
"Proud? Are you playing with me? Do you know the difference of proud to angry?" you said obviously fed up.
Ao'nung, who was also tired, rolled his eyes and said, "Yes, I know." And they’re both proud as no one has ever did that before except Mother" seeing that your not letting out another remark he continued.
"Just like you, she also tamed a Tsurak. You opened up a memory of them… If you were there, your ears would bleed as they kept talking about how they met and fell in love with each other"
You raised your hand, chuckling as you said, "Don’t continue; I think I know what you mean. Dad and mom fell in love after mom tried to kill him."
Ao’nung gave you a surprise look, and you chuckled at it. "Yeah it is surprising but to us we got used to it."
"Thank you... that made me feel better in some ways."
Ao’nung smiled and said, "Don’t mention it."
"Also… I still have my eye on you if you do something that is not to my liking. I will surprise you again." Smiling at him as you said that, you swam away as your siblings were now looking for you.
As for Ao'nung, heat started rising from his cheeks, but he soon smiled, and upon calling his Ilu out, he quickly made his way in front of you, who was then holding his hand out in front.
"Then, surprise me again, and I will too."
“So..?” Ao’nung asks curiously. “Are you gonna sit, or just stand there all day?” He cocks an eyebrow at you in judgement, but his voice welcomes a flirty tone, a small smirk dancing at the corners of his lips as he looks up at you with a playful glance.
“Fine. I’ll sit next to you,” You decide, a glint of mischief in your eyes, slightly picking up on his energy. His tail wags softly in anticipation—though he doesn’t think you notice—as he makes some room for you to sit down. His ears subtly perk up as he waits, before you take a seat on the sand beside him.
“Are you, possibly, a bit nervous?” He teases, a soft smirk playing on his lips, before his eyes wander to the nearby ocean. There it is. Ao’nung seems to have a very playful demeanor when it comes to you, contrary to your family friends, the fellow Omaticaya.
“Or maybe I’m just imagining things…” he finishes with a chuckle, his ears perking up as he glances at you from the side.
You let out a breathy laugh, “And exactly what about me helped put that idea in your head?” You raise a brow at him, leaning back on the palms of your hands.
“Well, I’d think anyone would be nervous sitting next to me,” He replies with a soft chuckle and teasing grin. “What’s the real answer?” Ao’nung asks playfully. “And don’t lie to me,” He warns with a small smirk, “I can read minds.” His gaze meets yours, before his eyes trail down the rest of your figure.
“Is it something more, maybe...?” He adds with a grin, his ears perking up as he leans in closer. “That’s if my intuition is right,” He pauses, placing a hand on his chest, “which it always is.”
You can’t help the amused smile on your lips at his words. “You’re seemingly confident,” You chuckle at his cocky demeanor—nothing he hasn’t shown you. “If you could read minds…” You tease, “Tell me what I’m thinking, then. Right now.”
Ao’nung is amused by your playful banter and smirks at your demand.
“How about, you’ve got the hots for me, is that about right?” He asks cheekily, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he meets yours. “Or perhaps something else?... Does that answer your question,” He pauses for a mere second, “...Little one?”
His words bring you back to the events from just the other day, his tail brushing gently against your leg, a playful twinkle in his eyes.
Your eyes widen and ears perk up slightly at the sudden contact of his skin on yours.
“Now you know why I think you’re nervous…” He chuckles softly to himself as you react in surprise, a playful grin forming on his face—seemingly content with the effect his subtle touch has on you.
It takes you a small moment to compose yourself before speaking again. "Wrong...” You begin, brushing him off. “Let's not get cocky, Ao'nung," You tease, tilting your head in a playful manner with a subtle expression of mischief.
“Doesn’t count if I’m only being honest,” He says confidently, before slowly bringing his lips close to your ear, “and I think you know that,” He mutters in a soft, low tone.
His voice alone sends chills down your spine, but you ignore and shake off the feeling it brings. “I’ll prove it,” You try to say nonchalantly, with daring eyes.
Ao’nung grins even more and raises his eyebrows, ears twitching with anticipation. “Oh?” He hums, amused by your provocation. “Is that a challenge?”
“All I’m saying is... I think you may be a little confused,” You pause—shifting your weight in the sand to face him completely—before leaning closer to him. “It’s you whose got the hots for me,” You say softly. “Or like you said... perhaps, something more?” You raise a brow at him.
Just then, Neteyam, comes into sight. You take notice of his approach from the corner of your eye and take this as a cue to dismiss yourself.
“Is that so?” Ao’nung chuckles, his voice low and rough as his eyes narrow lightly on yours. “And do you have any proof of this… obsession of mine?” His lips twitch into another smirk, and this time he shifts a little closer, his expression unreadable. But his eyes—those pale orbs of aquamarine—hold a hint of a challenge. A hint of a game they’re playing, like they’re waiting for you to step up.
Just the idea of it gets his heart racing.
You simply grin at him kindly and stand from previously laying on the sand beside Ao’nung, your tail slowly caressing his arm as you turn on your heels to face him. You almost miss the subtle wag of his tail at the abrupt contact of skin.
"I should get going," You say dismissively, looking down at his figure on the sand.
“Is it too much..?” He asks slowly, all while his tail brushes gently against your leg, attentive to any reaction you might have to him.
"So considerate of you to ask..." You tease with a pout and a shake of your head. “But you should know,” You tell him, “too much is never enough.”
His eyes shine with amusement, and your soft gaze meets his, a smirk spreading on his face. “We’ll see about that.”
You raise an eyebrow at his cocky attitude. "Maybe we will. Or maybe not." You shrug derisively at his challenge, clearly confident in your anticipated victory.
"Ary!" Neteyam calls for you from afar.
"That's me,” You tell Ao’nung, excusing yourself as you turn on your heels to head in Neteyam’s direction. You look over your shoulder one last time as you walk away, “Don't miss me while I’m gone, Ao'nung," You tease.
He lets out a chuckle, a grin slipping across his lips, sharp white teeth baring, his voice a low rumble with subtle sarcasm. "I won't miss you...at all.” His words only serve to make his smirk grow even wider. He stands up as well—his tail wrapping around yours to take ahold of, before he pulls you back into his chest in an embrace. “Hope I don’t take up too many of your thoughts, little one,” He purrs into your ear.
Neteyam spots you and Ao'nung speaking alone by the beach. He observes from afar, noticing the way his tail brushes against your leg, or yours against his arm. He consistently turns a blind eye to the reason behind his muscles tensing up at the sight ahead of him.
It’s initially because you confide too much in your friendship with him that it’s an idea he doesn’t even consider pursuing, as it could potentially jeopardize your friendship. A friendship developed years ago that—for some time, now—has been what’s grounded both of you in times of distress. You have always been best friends. Neteyam contemplated quite some time about being honest with you about this, but with the Sky People hunting his family, things got so very a little complicated, so he settled for a choice where you’d be safest. He thinks it’s best to keep things as they are—as best friends. That’s it. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Nontheless, the sight in front of him makes him feel ways he typically doesn’t feel. He’s bothered. But seemingly more frustrated—more so with himself.
Not that he initially would, but Neteyam understands he can’t make a scene. Despite how badly he hated the idea of you and Ao’nung. Especially not with the son and heir of the Metkayina Chief. Though, Lo’ak had a different plan for him waiting to happen later that day.
"Ary!" Neteyam calls for you.
You break from Ao’nung’s embrace, his slightly larger tail keeping its hold on yours.
Your heart leaps at the sight of Neteyam approaching. You almost miss the subtle flash of anger in his gaze as he watches you two. He gives you a smile, though it doesn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Hey,” Neteyam says loudly, his voice warm, though slightly strained. If you didn’t know him so well, you would have missed the slight variance in his voice.
"Neteyam," You acknowledge him with a soft tone, giving him a warm, earnest smile, genuinely happy to see him.
The rage he feels building up under the surface instantly dissipates at the tone of your voice and gentle expression. Though, his eyes jump between you, Ao’nung, and your intertwined tails.
The flash of jealousy comes and goes quickly when he catches the way Ao’nung had you wrapped in an embrace from behind, only a couple seconds prior. The tension in his muscles are still there, but he recovers his composure, and you hear his voice—it’s soft, like usual. “What are the two of you up to?”
"Ary was just telling me how nervous I make her," Ao'nung teases you, a glint of mischief in his eyes, to which you roll your eyes.
Your peeved demeanor gives Neteyam a little reassurance. Still, he can't help but notice the way your tail’s wrapped around Ao’nung’s. Technically, it’s his wrapped around yours. Neteyam habitually avails himself with equanimity in difficult situations, usually reserved, not often letting his emotions determine his actions. Except, he can’t help the way he’s so bothered at the way Ao'nung's eyes rake you.
Neteyam nods, a smile on his face. “I’m not sure you’re aware of the difference between nervous and scared,” He replies, attempting to conceal his true feelings with sarcasm. He tries to seem unaffected, so hard that he actually manages to maintain a pretty natural demeanor. You can almost miss the brief flash of anger that’s flitting across his eyes before he catches it—before the feelings of tension and jealousy are gone.
"I’m not interrupting something.. am I?" Neteyam asks, his eyes darting back and forth between you and Ao'nung. He’s always been very attentive—observant eyes watching closely and ears listening carefully. Constantly giving close and thoughtful attention to the behaviors, expressions, and intentions of those around him. It is this observant, leader-like quality that differentiates him from others—he always takes care of things with persistence, and will take notice of very subtle changes.
"No," You almost stammer, retracting your tail from Ao'nung's, before averting your gaze to the beach, afraid Neteyam would take one look into your eyes and see right through your lie. Which, to be fair, isn’t a lie.
Not a big lie, anyway.
There are no feelings involved when it comes to Ao’nung. But there definitely was something going on between the two of you.
Tension. That’s it.
You and Neteyam are far from ever becoming mates, and you have both proven this to one another numerous times through reoccurring events. Back home, you were well aware Neteyam invested time into seeing other Na’vi, just as you did. For the fun of it. Though, neither of you really had too much time on your hands as you constantly spent your time training together, and when you weren’t, you were busy foraging for plants and herbs with Kiri.
Still... Why does it feel any different if it’s Ao’nung?
Neteyam’s eyebrows furrow and displays a mixture of an anxious and pained expression on his face. He seems genuinely upset for a moment, but then it’s gone, the look wiped clean from his face. Fuck. He definitely saw through the lie.
He smiles a bit, in hopes of making light of the situation. “What is it... Some kinda secret going on, or...?” Neteyam questions with a smirk, his expression a little joking, but there’s a genuine question in there, behind the playful facade.
"No," You reassure Neteyam again. "There are no secrets," You tell him, briefly sharing a glance with Ao'nung—whose eyebrows go up as soon as he notices the slight hesitance in your voice from earlier. His ears perk up as his tail wags quickly, the tip moving up and down.
"Are you sure?" He asks with a subtle sneer. "You aren’t hiding something.. are you?" He demands with a soft chuckle. He circles you, his eyes glittering with amusement as he gives Neteyam a playful smirk and inches closer to you. “You don’t keep secrets, Ary… do you?"
There’s amusement in his hum when he asks, his tail gently brushing against your leg. He’s taunting you. His eyes then avert to the deeper-blue skinned Na’vi, whose expression instantly and very visibly transforms. His eyes immediately fill with rage, his jaw tensing.
“Stop this,” Neteyam takes a step towards him, “Now,” he growls, baring his teeth out of annoyance, his pupils enlarging ever so slightly so the white parts of his eyes are showing. His gaze is glued to the tail he has pressed up on you, his jaw still clenched. Ao’nung’s eyes sparkle with contentment, seemingly pleased to have struck a nerve.
“Oh?” He hums with gratification. “Does this bother you?” Ao’nung provokes.
You notice Neteyam’s face darken again, but he lets out a breathy laugh, and gives Ao’nung a smile. “Not at all,” he deadpans, the smile now gone.
His words make your heart drop to your stomach. It feels like a pang in your chest. You hate it. Maybe coming all this way wasn’t such a good idea, after all.
What if Dad was right?
You shrug it off, no longer feeding the thought or wanting to indulge in your emotions.
Neteyam notices the flicker in your golden eyes dim for a second, and his expression softens slightly.
“Perfect,” You agree with him—before he has the chance to speak again—in an attempt to conceal your brief moment of heart ache.
There’s a short-lived moment of only the sound of the moving water that fill your ears. Neteyam purses his lips with a nod of his head, almost like it was hard for him to digest your words. Almost.
"Oh look, you made him speechless.." Ao'nung’s voice is light and his demeanor playful, a soft smile on his face as he talks to you.
“You must be more charming than I give you credit for..." He teases, his eyes still on you as his tail gently caresses your leg.
You notice the instant scowl that transforms Neteyam's face, his eyes focused on Ao’nung’s tail. His fists clench for what seems like a millisecond. But he holds himself back—not wanting to start drama with the son of the Metkayina Chief.
"Or...." Ao'nung suggests, a sly sneer forming on his face—this time his blue eyes following Neteyam.
"Maybe he likes you," He finishes with a shrug of his shoulders, his tail growing more playful as the smirk on his face turns into a grin.
Neteyam’s breath seems to catch for a moment at this comment, his tail flicking. You catch the faint look of surprise in his eyes and elusive twitch of his ears. But he merely rolls his eyes and scowls at the cyan-skinned Na’vi. "Skxawng," He says in a light manner as he shoves Ao'nung lightly, “You know nothing.”
Neteyam then takes ahold of your wrist. “Let’s go, Ary,” He demands with a deadpanned expression and leads you away from Ao'nung.
He drags you a little away from him, a soft sigh escaping his lips, and he releases the grip on your wrist.
There’s a short pause. Then, there it is again. A troubled expression plain on his features. He’s definitely holding back on something. “Look,” He says, his voice a low rumble.
He scratches the top of his head, an expression of reluctance displayed on his face, before he cocks his head slightly to the side in defeat. He takes a step closer to you.
“I need to talk to you alone…” he says quietly, with a gentler tone this time. All while your eyes follow his hand that gently reaches for yours. “Is that okay with you?” His eyes are pleading, darting back and forth between your softened gaze, scrutinizing your features in search for an answer.
You’re surprised by his simple action, but more so, confused by what he’s indicating. Your heart races, anxious of what he may propose or confess. But your mind wanders to what could be worse—the words that may fail leave his mouth, proving your dad right.
Worse, because, Dad being right meant that, ultimately, you would need to leave your feelings for him behind. For good.
All while leaving him behind, too.
