i love your art style so much, it's rad as hell. how long have you been drawing? :o

you mean the goofy little sketches i do from time to time? if so, that's really kind of you to say!!! that said, i wouldn't necessarily say they're the peak of my drawing abilities though, since i just draw with a mouse.

i use to draw a lot when i was growing up, though after getting Gmod for the first time, and subsequently SFM, i moved over into those programs to make my art, and kinda stopped drawing from that point.

i don't normally draw a whole lot these days, but when it comes to how i draw the stuff above, really i just find the messiness of using a mouse to draw really goofy, that and it's kinda nice to draw stuff without it needing to be perfect. it's just silly lines.

but regardless, thank you for the kind words, im glad you like my silly stuff

but!! i think that if reader defects before suguru it would actually be a huge twist 🤔 suguru realizing that reader was going through the same inner crisis as him… at the same time as him… starting to feel guilty about it but now it’s simply too late. him snapping out of it sounds like something he would do— not in a optimistic manner or something, but resembling more a grey character?? hmmmmm like ‘i’m aware this reality sucks, it’s unfair to all of us and the new generations… but i saw a dear friend becoming a servant of such principles and, while i do not condemn reader for their actions, i recognize that is not the optimal way to start a change’ (idk if it makes sense… it’s like putting in a mixer nanami’s and shoko’s reactions after geto’s canonical defection… ??? lmao sorry, i just woke up from a nap TTTT)

that’s exactly my thought too!!! in the same way that suguru is doomed to fall in canon jjk, reader is doomed to fall as long as suguru moves forward. the two of them can’t stay on the same path together :(((( or. well. they will stay on the same path eventually since it’s a fix-it fic of sorts, but suguru avoiding his own defection almost guarantees that reader will defect in his place.

and!! it’s also connected to their inferiority complex…. it’s a parallel to stsg in many ways because in canon, suguru breaks down because he’s isolated and forced to watch satoru grow stronger without him — but in reader’s case they’re all alone and forced to watch the both of them move forward at a speed they can’t possibly catch up to. i don’t know if reader is necessarily special grade, at least not in high school… so it’s just this ugly feeling in their gut that keeps growing :(( i also have a ct planned for them that makes it worse bc. it’s sort of similar to suguru’s own ct in that it’s based on the collection of curses. so the stronger suguru gets, and the more curses he absorbs, the more reader’s potential diminishes. i think they eventually develop a learned helplessness of sorts because of that….. :((((

AND YES . i also think him snapping out of it makes most sense. i think this au’s suguru will be a lot better off than canon sugu, but his own doubts are basically unavoidable— and i think that if reader defects before those doubts grow too big to control, then suguru will have a moment of enlightenment. seeing them turn their back on him, refusing his help, and also seeing so clearly that they aren’t happy. it’d basically ruin any hope he might have that the choice could do him any good.

i also feel like suguru would have a similar realization to satoru, but instead of realizing that there are people he simply can’t save, i think suguru’s thoughts are more along the lines of… i can’t save them the way i am now, so i have to grow stronger. which is obviously a huge motivator for him to become a teacher and work harder!! i don’t know if teacher!suguru still has that ”protect the weak” mindset, but i think he’s matured a lot from his past self. he recognizes the cruelty of the world but he knowns he has allies he can count on, and he’s desperate to save you eventually.

(this is just a sidenote but!! i think suguru is a lot more spiteful than satoru is. after reader dies (before they get the chance to bring you back), i imagine him having a moment where he tells satoru that he can’t help but hate yuuta a little. for hurting you. and i don’t think it ever really goes away, as much as he treasures his students.)

YAAA THE ROYALTY AU (which is also a little medieval, it's like both so it's okay adsjkvnask)

baghera is the queen of her own kingdom!! everyone is human in this au but they have magic they specialize in and can create items to give them things that are sort of like wings!!

philza is a special case tho because his wife is the goddess of death so maybe she blesses his cape to act like wings or something... since baghera is a queen im sure she has the resources to find someone to make her a cape or item that works like wings because i feel like something like that would be super hard to make.

jaiden is a witch in this au and she doesn't live in any kingdom!! she lives sort of by herself surrounded by a rose garden and she uses a lot of nature magic which is focused on birds!! because of this and how long she's been studying it she's able to enchant herself a cloack that allows her to glide short distances :DD more similar to the paraglider in mineraft then an elytra. the feathers she used for her cloack were all shedded feathers she gets from her bird friends :]]

Hi! I saw your post about delivering groceries, and I'm curious. How does one go about getting a job like that? If you don't wanna respond that's okay too. Hope u have a nice day!!

i shop for instacart, which if you are unfamiliar is an app-based "freelance" gig economy-type job sorta like doordash or uber. which i don't really recommend from a monetary aspect unless you're desperate like me - it never paid a ton to begin with but in the last year or so it has started paying even less due to the corporation's insatiable greed. the nice thing about it is you can choose to shop whenever you want (although in my area there aren't enough decent-paying orders on weekdays to make it worth the time so weekends are really best but that's very dependent on where you live), there's no quota or hour requirement, you just go online when you feel like it and switch off when you're done. i think you can also work directly for some stores, i know kroger has in-store shoppers in my area and i think they do delivery as well in other places but idk how any of those function - you would probably have to apply directly with the store somehow. i just wish the 'gig' type self-regulated schedule was more sustainable pay-wise - with the rates IC is offering now, once you calculate for the gas you spend, you're sometimes pretty much breaking even on some deliveries. on top of that, what few worker protections there are in this country (im in the usa) completely evaporate when it comes to gig workers. however sometimes i just have to make fifty bucks to pay my water bill, or to prevent me from having to choose between food and electricity on those months where i'm running a little too tight for comfort. but ultimately, aside from the emergency i-have-to-eat-today situations, the best thing about grocery delivery really is the human aspect. i like helping people and find it rewarding, and i wish corporate greed did not make it so challenging to do long-term.

tangential little side note: if you're using your personal vehicle for gig work like deliveries, you may need to add a specific rider to your car insurance policy, otherwise if you're in an accident while "on the clock" you may find yourself with no coverage. those add-ons can vary in cost and i recommend asking your insurance agent about it if you have one. they can probably give you a quote on how much your bill would go up per month if you were to add that, so you'll know how much you have to make from it every month before you break even.

When I was hyping up the story, I still had the mindset of 'people really like this, I can't just abandon it!' and was basically telling myself that I can just power through it.

Yeah, not a very healthy mindset to have lmao. You guys obviously noticed how long the updates took, ranging from like 1-3 months of wait.

But lately, I started writing something just for my own enjoyment, something that I won't share on here. And the difference between the two made me realize how pointless trying to force myself to write LN13 was.

The thing I'm having fun with right now? I'm easily writing a chapter once a week. And the chapters are longer than LN13 ones.

LN13, meanwhile, was straight up starting to stress me out, so I just had to dip for my own health. Like I'd open a word doc to write LN13 and would legit get a stomach ache from the pressure.

So yeah, I basically had to get my bearings together and stop trying to sacrifice my health just to please people.

In my mind the fight happens when the Nerevarine is looking to become Hortator, so before Dagoth Ur actually- the fight in my mind.. honestly is pretty epic LOL, fast paced and EXTREMELY intricate swordplay at work. Nerevar was a master swordsman as a Chimer and truth be told, they aren’t rusty even a little bit. The fight is fast, and though Nerevar doesn’t come out unscathed, she does come out victorious at the cost of one of the last pieces of her past. She regrets that everything got this bad with the Tribunal. Compared to Dagoth Ur though?? In my mind I don’t think the fight with Almalexia holds the same emotional weight. Nerevar cared for her, but to be honest. The whole thing with Voryn’s definitely been brewing since they met again as young adults. In fact I do have a scene in my mind going.. might draw that at some point.
