okay now i’m just thinking about jonah right after he takes elias’s body. in my headcanon, the original elias was a bit of a fuckup (pothead... third class honours degree...). and him getting promoted to head of the institute after just 5 years of working there as a filing clerk was certainly enough to raise gertrude’s suspicions. so to counteract this, i’m just imagining jonah trying to feign the original elias’s personality at first hggfkjfdgfdlkmdfvmg
