Flashback!

"I actually don't think I consider you the scariest person here anymore, All Might."

The blonde bruiser quirked an eyebrow, glancing down at Izuku Midoriya-- his apprentice of roughly six months. "What do you mean by that?"

"Well..." Midoriya murmured, glancing back up. "...I know what you're capable of. But I didn't know Rian could do that."

All Might looked to where the kid was watching Rian slowly drag his knife down someone's cheek, slicing open a line of red. His victim, who All Might was pleased to see was sobbing, was a guy they caught snooping around one of the bar's offices in an attempt to get dirt. Rian had been the one to catch him, as the guy had thought that someone as unassuming and cute as the queer barkeeper couldn't possibly be a threat.

The thief didn't stand a chance.

"You got me there," the big villain said fondly. "Kitten's more than meets the eye. I barely even had to train him at all... The knife work is all him."

They watched as the brunette growled something in the happless thief's ear, and the man screamed and struggled before Rian stabbed him in the shoulder.

"I said 'quiet'!" Rian said, an edge to his voice as he gripped his victim's throat. "You think this is bad? Because I can make it worse! Nobody tries to hurt my honeybunny while I'm around..."

"'Honeybunny'...?" Izuku whispered incredulously, and All Might gave an embarrassed chuckle.

"Yeah... Pet names, y'know? He's my Kitten, I'm his honeybunny. Though I wish he wouldn't call me that while we're working."

Izuku swallowed. "Remind me to never upset him. Ever."

"You won't," the blonde said, clapping the green-haired teen on the shoulder. "You're considered his now. One of the people he's chosen to care about and protect. Pretty sure he'd do this same thing if the guy was hunting for shit on you too... In fact, it might be even worse, considering you can't defend yourself like I can."

"ALRIGHT!!! I'LL TALK!!! ALL MIGHT I'LL TALK!!! PLEASE!!!"

Izuku looked on in disbelief as All Might approached Rian and his victim. "You heard the man, Event Horizon. Knife down," he ordered. Instantly, Rian's knife was twirled back into it's closed position and being stuck in his pocket. He had carved the offender up rather nicely, with several fine cuts that didn't bleed much, but definitely would have stung; the stab wounds were also in spots that would be painful, rather than deadly. And those weren't counting what Rian did to knock the dumb bastard out cold. The blonde smiled, petting the younger man's hair. "Good boy."

Rian practically purred, nuzzling into the larger man's hand. "Anything else I can do for you, darling?"

Having a small yandere around certainly does make life interesting.

"You've already done perfectly, Kitten. Go stand by our young friend while I finish up."

"Yes sir!" Rian said with a chuckle, grinning as he walked back and stood next to Izuku, who looked a little nervous until the brunette hugged him around the shoulder. "Sorry you had to see that, little buddy. I got a little angrier than I intended..."

"Start talking," All Might said, grabbing the man by the hair and leaving Rian to soothe the teenager. "Was it cops that bought you? Or someone else?"

"No! No no no no! It's just the gang I'm in...! Boss was trying to figure out who owned the bar before he stole from it! I'm sorry! All Might please we had no idea it was you! We only just moved in from Kyoto! We didn't know!!!"

"Actually, I'm inclined to believe you. I have a few boys watching your little street gang... I let you come in here," the villain said, smirking. "I'm glad you fessed up. That makes things easier."

All Might used his own knife to cut the rope keeping the man tied to the wooden chair, then jostled it to get the thief on the ground.

"I'll let you live... But tell your boss this: The bar is safe, but the staff is not. I demand a tribute of 25% for the next three months... And I won't ask twice."

"Yes! Anything!"

"Good... Now get your ass out of here."

"Yes sir!!!"

All Might almost laughed at how quickly the guy ran out, darting past the audience of two and out the heavy door that separated this concrete room from the rest of the bar. Walking back to Izuku and Rian, he grinned at the kid while petting his boyfriend's hair. "You understand why I played it like this, kid?"

"Of course, All Might!" The teen said, nodding emphatically. "You sent him back to his group with his life, injuries, and a message. A gang from an old city like Kyoto is likely to care about the lives of its people, and with those injuries and his story, there won't be a counter-attack. The biggest danger is that they might skip town without paying the tribute to you."

"Good, you're learning. That's why the second he ran out of here, Nighteye will have grabbed him and checked his next course of action. He can tell us if they plan to run, and we'll act accordingly..."

"Acting won't be necessary," the lanky foreteller said, opening the slightly cracked door more fully and looking in. "They send their first payment tonight, and the leader is coming personally. The man you roughed up is his younger cousin, and he's truly grateful that our great All Might spared his life. This first payment will actually be at 30% of their monthly revenue, to show appreciation. There is opportunity here for a few loyal dogs."

The blonde nodded, then looked at his young protogé. "There you go."

"Damn..." Rian mumbled. "I kinda wanted to play some more..."

"Don't worry Kitten, you'll have more chances."

The brunette looked up, hugging his arm, cute hazel eyes full of love tinged with a sharpened edge. Toshinori broke out into a wide grin.

Fuck... I love this kid so much.

I didn’t expect to find her back in our rooms.

But then, nothing today happened as I expected.

“I think Ryssa should choose,” said the woman who had stripped her of every choice, of her ability to refuse, of her very name.

She’d said it while Ryssa knelt at her feet, wearing tags proclaiming her ownership. Perhaps it was only the certainty of her decision.

I wish I had that certainty.

I’d watched her weep over the broken wreck I’d made of Thomas, somehow still alive, healed if not whole. I dreamed you were alive. How I wish I’d killed him.

Infinite pity, searing, in Rian Declan’s eyes, watching me.

I thought she’d be gone.

“Evon,” she said, “I’m leaving.”

I knew it was coming. I knew, but it still hit me in the gut.

“Where are you doing to go?” Who are you choosing?

“The king offered ne separate chambers. I need time, alone… to think.”

“Is it so hard choosing which collar you’ll wear?”

She flinched, her hand going to her necklet, her tags.

Never to the ring I’d put on her on finger, the promise it symbolized.

I moved closer to her, close enough to touch. She shrunk back.

“Gods, Ryssa. You’re leaving me for one of them.” I cupped her face, my other hand tangling in her pale hair. She leaned into the touch, her eyes softening, lips parting just slightly. Slave reflexes. “Just tell me which one.”

“I’m n-n-not. Evon!”

I’d pulled the hair in my hand hair, pulling her head back so she looked up, so she saw me.

“Have I been too kind, Ryssa?” I saw the fear in her wide green eyes. “Do you like it rough?”

My hand twitched, then jerked, and the back of her head hit the wall. She cried out in pain.

“Do you miss getting caned bloody by your Master before she fucked you raw with her steel?” I thumped her head against the wall again. “Or do you miss being whored out at his father-in-law’s parties?” Thump. “Do you want to be the broodmare to create the next Declan heir?”

Thump. “Please….”

“Because he’s never going to marry you.” Thump. “He has a wife.” Thump. Her hands rose up and I caught them, pressing her against the wall. “You’ll never,” thump, “be more” thump “than a thing” thump “in that house!”

Then her bright green eyes rolled back in her head. She went limp, and I caught her as she fell. Laying her down, my hand came away red.

More seeped out, staining her palest-gold hair scarlet, starting to pool on the floor.

What had I done?

❤️ - At first, he’s very taken aback by the fact that you haven’t fallen prey to his manipulation and lies. Not even his fellow skekses are able to see through most of his lies due to their own arrogance and short attention span to matters not important to them. 

❤️ - He has to admit, he admires your tenacity and refusal to be manipulated easily. This definitely convinces him that you’re his destined partner. He likes to imagine that you’re his literal other half. 

❤️ - Eventually he does get tired of your stubbornness, usually expressing his frustration through huffing and whining that “poor Skeksil, only wants beloved to be happy! Can only do that if beloved does what Skeksil wants!” 

❤️ - The situation ends very similarly to how Skeksil’s interaction with Rian in the carriage. He’ll snap, threaten and bully where he can to try and emotionally beat down his darling, until he is completely sure they’re more likely to fall for his lies, and by correlation, fall straight into his hands.

I feel you too, I've seen a lot of yandere stuff in both TDC and the TF fandoms and while I might read a couple things every now and then I mostly search out the fluffy stuff or some non-yandere angst. It can get a little weird seeing it for characters that'd never act like that too, like Rian or Bumblebee. -robotandmonsterwritings

Omegaverse might be involved. There is a disgusting amount of flirting. A little murder. Me being unaware of Toshi's true nature and alter ego. Toshinori being Yandere. Some slight over protectiveness...

What are some of the different ways Rian has died in the MHA canons?

Oooooooooooooooh jeezums you picked a doozy to ask.

I'm going to put this all under a cut, due to the nature of the topic.

The first and most authentically canon (to MHA) way Rian dies is by... Well, dying as a child. In other timelines, All Might ends up saving him on a visit to see Dave when he's in a Right Place at a Right Time. Without the hero there... Rian stops being there. This is different from the Villain canons, where Rian either never ends up in the situation that kills him to begin with, or ends up in it when he's older and able to control his quirk.

The next way Rian dies is at the Kamino incident, sacrificing himself to make sure the kids can escape safely. He goes down valiantly, with two broken hands, several broken ribs, third degree burns, and all the while kicking ass and taking names before Shigaraki manages to grab him. The villain's learn a little too late that Rian's quirk isn't ACTUALLY triggered by his fingers snapping, and once the blindfold gets taken off of him... He puts up one hell of a fight, and makes Bakugo realize that he really WAS holding back all this time.

Another death happens when Rian gets a bit too close to Dabi, also during Kamino.

The next death is in a villain canon, when All Might let's him go soon after they meet and... It doesn't end well. Rian is unable to survive on his own in that state. He lasts a few days.

There's at least 2 deaths attributed to Endeavor in some of the villain canons, but honestly only All Might can blame him for those. To be entirely fair, when someone can use portals and comes at you with knives, going Full Blast is the only good way to stay alive. Justified.

More than 10 deaths go to AFO. I'll let you use your imaginations here, but needless to say, torture is always involved.

Several deaths also get attributed to Rian himself, due to overextending himself and his quirk. Opening too many portals at the same time can cause migraines... And much worse.

Overhaul gets him at least once, unmaking him when he catches up to Mirio in the fight to save ERI.

A few deaths via suicide.

Last but absolutely not least... Yandere Villain Midoriya! And Rian doesn't blame him. Par for the course, honestly. And he DOES apologize, so that's fair.

And a partridge in a pear treeeeeee

But yeah... I die a lot of ways.
