What are your opinions on all of the main couples in SL?

LMAO, it took me so long to answer this ask, but I just have so mant thoughts. I'm not sure if the question is about endgame couples, so I'll just talk about whatever I want.

Putting this under a cut because I'm not a monster.

Lutteo is... fine. I don't hate them, but I also don't like them. Leaving aside my own headcanons for the characters, they just don't work for most of the show. Matteo in seasons 1 and 2 is a complete asshole who doesn't deserve Luna. Just to list some of the shit he does: flirts with her while he's still with Ámbar, kisses her without her consent, sometimes borderline harasses her, is a dick to her best friend, prioritizes his career over their relationship even when he ends up hurting her, never listens to her perspective and assumes all of her criticism is in bad faith. I especially can't get behind the s2 storyline, where Luna is incredibly upset by Matteo's behavior—saying he doesn't have a girlfriend during an interview and staging PR relationships, or insulting Simón live—, but he brushes it all off with the excuse that it's essential to his career and tells her she's envious of his success. And he's somehow surprised that Luna would defend her childhood best friend when her boyfriend publicly humiliates him online?

That being said, when Matteo finally becomes a decent person in s3, I think they mostly work as a couple (still don't ship them). At that point, though, does it really matter? I'm not going to forget the first two seasons. If Luna absolutely needed to end up with somebody, because amatonormativity, she deserved someone better.

Lumón is objectively the best Luna ship. They're childhood best friends and know and take care of each other like nobody else. Still, when I see such an adorable m/f friendship, I grab onto it and would rather it stayed platonic, because there's enough romance in medias.

Simbar gives me life. I'm honestly obsessed and, as I've already said, they're one of my OTPs and the reason why I started watching Soy Luna. Ámbar and Simón are characters I already love on their own and they complement each other so well. They have a great premise (dating-someone-for-a-revenge-plan trope, my beloved <3), a believable enemies to friends to lovers arc (also a favorite trope of mine), fluffy banter, delicious angst and tension, domestic scenes to balance it out, great chemistry, and the actors work their asses off in emotional scenes. They communicate, support and respect each other like a healthy couple would do. Simón is the first person to see the good in Ámbar and push her to be the better version of herself. Ámbar also challenges Simón and his perspective. While a bit dramatized for narrative purpose (don't date people to fix them), that's what a relationship should do (says the aro who's never even had a date in her life).

Gastina may not be endgame, but they are in my heart. They're adorable, have excellent chemistry, and them bonding over shared interests is both realistic and cute. While cliché, I like the FelicityForNow plotline and I think it gave Gastina a solid basis that makes it impossible not to root for them. Forever mad about the route s3 took, especially because it didn't have to? They had Gastón's actor available for a couple scenes, they could've filmed the finale with him or just slapped a clip of him onto a tablet screen, then keep his and Nina's relationship going through texts, it really wasn't that hard. To me Nina goes to college in Oxford and they get back together again, I will accept no other option.

Pelfi is such a sweet ship! It's a bit of a Simbar 1.0, in the sense that Pedro formed a genuine friendship with Delfi and helped her become a better version of herself. Even if Delfi back pedaling in s2 was random and made their relationship arc a bit weird, narratively speaking, I always enjoy these two. They're such cuties and them staring at each other with heart eyes in s3 >>>

Yamiro is considered a main couple, I guess? They can be cute, but I'm not particularly fond of either Yam or Ramiro and I also headcanon them both as gay, not to mention they hurt each other and argue a bit too much for my taste.

what’s a ship you like that most people don’t?

Thank you for the ask Ink! The only thing that comes to mind honestly are two Soy Luna ships lol. I was trying to think of shows, movies, and books I’ve read but that one is the only one that appears in my head for this question lol 😆

So the ship I like that most people don’t is Lutteo. I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t like them and most of the time it’s because of Matteo, which I understand. The thing is I like his character, now that doesn’t mean I push all of his wrongdoings under a rug lol. He makes a lot of mistakes but to be honest, almost every character in this show makes mistakes. Some just make more than others. That’s what made me fall in love with the show in the first place. Lutteo is complicated but that’s love, love is complicated. But it’s also that feeling you get when you see that person, that special person, knowing deep down in your heart that’s your soulmate. This is what happened between the two of them. No matter any mistake they made or hardship they faced, deep down inside they knew they were meant to be, they were just afraid. Mainly Matteo was afraid, having a harsh father in all he became very selfish but grew and changed. Luna grew too, she learned not to be so naive while also balancing out how to be happy and herself in life as well. So yes, I love this ship. I think they’re adorable. I love the angst. I love how after the long winded road, their stories always intertwine with each other.

Also, fun fact, another ship most people don’t like that I like (I found them adorable ngl) too was Yamiro. I thought they were cute and many people hate her character for being too harsh with Ramiro in S3. I have a whole explanation about that from my Soy Luna Unpopular Opinion series. Basically, Yam is human and it takes her a while to build trust in people so when she saw Ramiro changed to the other team, it felt like something deeper than a betrayal. A loss of trust. She’s young and felt a lot of hurt and pain so that’s why she broke up with him at that time, and you can tell she loved him a lot it’s just it also hurt her a lot. I try to be unbiased since I equally love all of the main characters (except Benicio for obvious reasons) since I really do love this show and it’s characters. So I guess in a way I understand all of them too since we’re all different. We’re all human and feel, react, and think differently.

Soy Luna Holy Trinity Ships (in my opinion)

Not gonna lie some of you may be mad about this…but it must be said. The holy trinity of ships in soy luna was simbar, gastina and yamiro. Yup I said what I said 🤚🏼

Simbar: There chemistry was just un matched for I mean there tension was sooo good. God I cant believe this is Disney!!! The way Simon could see good in Ambar whilst everyone would disagree and call him crazy was just 🤌🏼 I just wished we had more scenes of them in season three. We can all agree season three was to rush 🤚🏼 Both these characters come from different worlds and seeing how they fall for each other goddddd😩😩

Gastina: They should’ve been endgame!!! There whole story with the felicityfornow was just to good. The build up we had in season one to where they were now in season two it just made no sense for them to just break up in season three. I mean throughout the whole show they’ve risked so much just to be together and then just for that to get thrown away. God I mean we then had there “break” in season two which pissed me off since it took up most of season two. Like season three we could’ve had more scenes of them being happy and stuff.

Yamiro: This is literally one of my favorite ships that should’ve gotten MORE SCREEN TIME. I mean they build up this whole them liking each other and when there finally together you barely get any screen time from them being a couple. And omg I hated how the show just made them break up everytime. 😭 This was kind of an enemies to lovers trope especially in season one so them being together was just 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 Plus the whole Yam being rude to him in season three I kind of felt it was off because I don’t think she would be the type to do that so that really sucked. I mean the way he compliments her everytime godddd I need someone like Ramiro in my life. Also I wished we had a yamiro duet like imagine Ramiro rapping whilst Yam is just singing so beautiful and the way it just syncs up so nice 😩🤚🏼

I find it funny how the majority of SL fans are like ”people don’t like Yamiro because they thought Yam was mean to him”

And that’s not the reason I didn’t like the ship - Yam is my favorite character and I do ofc think that even if she was mean, it was deeper than that - she felt something more than betrayal in S3 and I absolutely can get her thought process of why she acts the way she does. So I absolutely support and agree with a lot of what people say when defending and supporting her.

But the real reason I don’t ship Yamiro is because I think both of them are gay.

#people do big character studies on Yam’s thought process in s3 and how she really does love Ramiro and stuff #and I do agree in a way #except for the part where people said she really was in love with Ramiro #because I do believe she cared for him and loved him - but not in that way #like when I am doing a s3 analysis of her it’s to see how she finally came to terms with her sexuality #and finally started dating Jim #and I feel so silly every time I mention that because people make these deep analysis of Yam #but then the second they go ’she really was in love with Ramiro’ I just feel like 😅😅 #to me Yamiro was always very comphet #so conclusion: I don’t like Yamiro because ’i thought yam was mean’ like people always seem to assume is the reason #i don’t like Yamiro because yam was clearly in love with jim #soy luna #yamila sanchez #ramiro ponce

Okay so this was kind of hard (again lol) but not because of the ships but because of the way the bingo was made lol, it’s true what Haley @putonmyfavoriteshow said, each tile is so different 😆

With that being said, I also ship both ships above. I’m a Yamiro fan but I’m also a Jim and Yam fan too. I circled the tile don’t ship it but I’m open about it because I don’t ship it as much as Ambar and Emilia but I do ship it, so yes I’m open to it. Which is why circled that tile lol
