about that femto ask... to me, Femto is Griffith's sexiest version, which always made me feel a little bit of guilt... but at the same time, I am sure a lot of people agree with me, hahaha
It's a pretty deliberately sexy design lol so it makes sense. And lbr I guarantee you no straight guy has ever felt guilty over finding sexy evil women hot so you shouldn't feel guilty either.
xoxoannimuxoxo said: If Guts designed Femto himself he’d look like Bayonetta
lmao true
ninjabelle said: ‘till griff resurrects himself and guts’ dick’ ilu whahhaha seriously tho, nd this is a captain obvs. answer but the way femto is always posed in his mind and memories with the intense eyes is always gonna b about the eclipse and that staredown between them and how it wasn’t about Casca no matter how much Guts wants to pretend it was to make hating Griff as Femto easier. To me the only difference in attraction btween Griff and Femto through Guts’ eyes is an added layer- -of unease, because seeing Femto brings back some rlly fucked up things that very much would remind Guts of wanting him and BEING WANTED by him like i just mentioned, and in the end it’s still Griff in there. Deep down i know Guts wants to peel off the Femto layer and just get at whats beneath. At least the beast of darkness does lmao. I think theres attraction either way, just more twisted dark and scary. Which fits berserk tbh hahaha
Yeah legit, that totally makes sense imo. Especially love that description of wanting to peel off Femto and get at what’s beneath, nice.

Considering that team QRWBY never felt remorse for berating and pouring all their frustrations onto Ozpin despite him already being on his knees in tears from being exposed of his past and failures, I'd find it super unfair if the show and fandom acts like the protagonists can't be criticized because they're already stressed and down on their luck.
Deadass, why should we give leniency to QRWBY now that they’re finally experiencing consequences for their actions when they couldn’t give the same to Ozpin? After they betrayed his trust and dragged his abuse and loss out for him to experience again in 4K HD, and then after he was breaking down crying, they hit him and yell at him until he leaves, only to then turn around and go “How dare he leaves, I’m not done yelling at him!”.
Nope. I feel nothing to the brats that have endangered a whole kingdom of people and now are doing jackshit to help the situation. Only Yang and her team are bothering to try and do something, and are even willing to compromise with Winter and the Ace Ops with both plans. Let us go and rescue our friend, and if you have to blow the whale up with us still inside, that’s just a risk we’ve accepted with the mission.
Ruby and co would rather sit in the mansion being told what to do, and no, they don’t ALL have to be there especially when Klein comes back. One could’ve stayed there for support while the others either went to try to help Atlas, or go back with May to help Mantle since that’s the whole source of the damn conflict.
At least Ozpin tried to do all he could with the limitations he knew rather than sit around drinking from his mug and crying about how hard it is.

Hey Mod Zizel Here! So I was asked by @xoxoannimuxoxo about how Claire would end up with Ashe in the endings instead of Noel if Witch's Heart takes the romantic turn. I personally don't think that Witch's Heart is going to take a romantic turn besides maybe Noel and Claire getting together but the idea's still really fun to think about. As for why Claire would choose Ashe I have a few reasons I can think of;
Claire trusts Ashe Bradley with her life. One of her main flaws is that Claire trusts everyone without a second thought. Even in the Bonus Stage she was still questioning the legitimacy of the records that almost everyone has killed her at least 100 times; especially the fact that Ashe killed her the most. Even when Zizel pointed out that he won't eat before watching someone else eat first, Claire still wants to trust him. If Claire decides to remember only the events with Ashe from the Bonus Stage, she's only going to feel sympathetic for him even if she remembers that he tried to kill her, Noel, and Sirius for her heart. Claire doesn't have a remorseful bone in her body and genuinely believes Ashe is a good person.
In Ashe's Scenario, Ashe led Claire to believe that he wanted nothing more than to grant her sweet wish. He gave her the time of day and admired her for her strength and her cooking. (It has been a long time since I played through his route so I'm working off loose memories here). I think she reminds Ashe of Lilia with how happy-go-lucky she is, which would either make Ashe like her even more or make him want to get his wish granted even more.
As for why she wouldn't choose Noel, Noel's odds are completely stacked against him. Noel has to be in Hell during the daytime, which means that's much less time he has to spend with Claire. Also if Claire decides to keep her memories of Noel, she's not going to like him very much. At the end of the Bonus Stage, she thought he was just trying to go after her heart just like the others were. She killed herself to prevent Noel from killing her first. That's not romantic in the slightest! So based off the lack of trust she has for him alone, Noel's going to have a hard time getting her to love him. The major thing though is that in the Bonus Stage Claire never learned who Patricia truly was. She only learned Patricia was her best friend of hers, which I think was done on purpose to not give Noel too big of an advantage. That or when Lime was explaining Sirius's past she just didn't bother to mention it. If Claire learns who Patricia truly is, Ashe really doesn't stand a chance of getting her as a partner though. I think Claire knowing about Patricia makes or breaks this for Ashe and Noel.
So in short, I think Claire trusts Ashe more than she trusts Noel. She easily befriends him since she thinks they share the same bubbly outlook on life and they both really enjoy cooking, which gives Ashe an advantage over Noel. I personally would prefer Claire to end up with Sirius or (and) Noel than with Ashe, but I'd understand if she did end up with Ashe for those reasons.
Thank you for sending in the ask and sorry about the wait! It was really fun to think about!

Honest question this time. What makes Sirius your least favorite tho ono
Just my first impressions of him weren’t that great. He definitely acts like a tsundere but was kind of mean towards Claire throughout the game. Don’t get me wrong though, I still do like him a lot. And he has definitely shown (in his very tsundere way) that he really does care for Claire. I’m just a bit eh on him

There is an explanation as to how Ashe missed the "negative" aspect of the contract. I'm not sure if you've reached the Bonus Stage of the game so I don't mean to spoil it for you but if you'd like to know I could explain.
I’m currently playing the bonus stage at the moment and haven’t yet finished it. ^^; I’m a little embarrassed to have made a post about my theory only for it to have been answered in the game. Thank you though! I’m even more embarrassed because I sent my theory to a Witch’s Heart theory blog.

xoxoannimuxoxo “It’s like these haters are freaking Frollo and Griffith’s Esmeralda with all this “burn in hell jezebel” talk lol“
Here ya go. Berserk’s resident Griffith hater singing hellfire.  For all Griffith fans out there let their hate be your muse.

Ever considered buttons?
That could be a nice alternative, but I’ll have to scope around to see if the idea garners any interest.
BUT, while prodding around a little, I did find a place that makes some good buttons for an ok price. If it proves convenient, I might do some button designs, yes!

Whitley having so much animosity towards his mom and sisters only to be radiating pure joy from his mom touching his shoulder and watching his sister continue to choose spending precious time with her friends over him makes me think of the ending of Midsommar with Dani smiling.
JFHGKJDFHGDKJFHGDFKJG GOD IT’S SO BAD.
I hate it so much. Whitley, go and find better friends and family, these people are shit.

They're trying to make Ironwood so deliciously evil that no one cares how badly RWBY messed up in the first place
The way he slouched in that chair was very sexy, tho.

The whole Adam is a kiddie chaser headcanon is as valid to me as the headcanon that he's the bastard son of Jacques as a result of a faunus servant being assaulted. Yeah the show wants to be dark but they would never go THAT far for the sake of making their characters look bad. It's just gross and RT knows that's too gross for them to write and it would cost them their careers.
Exactly. RT won’t write something as dark as that because they don’t want the backlash, and because they know that if they screw it up, it’d be far worse than a botched racism arc.

I headcanon that the "Cold of Solitas can kill you in a matter of hours" myth was just propaganda made by the Happy Huntresses to hype up Mantle being hysterical over Ironwood not doing more and if they so much as have a single snow drop on their face they riot cause it's obvously Ironwood trying to kill them all
The whole cold situation was just plain dumb. CRWBY can’t even keep their lore consistent with the cold being deadly to Grimm, since the Grimm we’ve found are doing fine. This isn’t even an issue they can sweep under the rug with the excuse that it happened offscreen, like loads of shit they’ve done, because if we don’t see it as an audience, there’s no stakes. We feel no turmoil because it’s just a concept, not a real threat.
Similar to the whole Mantle problem in general. We weren’t given enough to care about Mantle before, with all the characters we met and grown to love coming from Atlas, not Mantle, and then having the place be a racist cesspool full of unlikeable people with few humanising scenes placed too far between. In Atlas, we met some of the students, Penny, Pietro, James, Winter, Weiss, the Ace Ops, Neon and Flynt, Ciel, all these characters that we enjoy, so we have more of a bond with Atlas.

I seriously can't understand how quickly the narrative turned on Ironwood along with the fandom. Ironwood's resolve and willingness to sacrifice anything was scene as brave and heroic yet within less than 3 episodes all that went out the window and now he's seen as a lunatic.
literally no character has been done more dirty than ironwood, both in the show & out of it. hell, his va didn’t even know his semblance & a fan had to tell him; that’s how little crwby has clued him in lmao.

I don't know if anyone's asked this before but is there a reason why berserk adaptations keep skipping the blackswordsman arc? The iconic 90s anime started on the Golden Age and the movies started at the Golden Age and the crappy 2016-2017 anime follows up on the golden age with the arc that I don't remember the name of anymore. Is it because the Golden Age arc was so good that it may as well been it's own story lol
lol yeah I don’t really know but I’m bitter about it bc I really want a Black Swordsman arc adaption. If we just got the whole thing along with the 97 anime it would be just about perfect, and also so so much better for guts-centric vidding potential lol. tbf we got one episode with some Black Swordsman stuff with that anime, but like, it barely counts.
If I had to guess I’d say that yeah the Golden Age being a fairly complete-feeling story with a beginning, middle, and end is part of the reason. If you couldn’t adapt anything past the Eclipse then the BS arc might just feel like an overly long, weird intro to the actual story, and I can understand why the anime creators decided to cut most of it, even if I’m mad about it lol.
I was actually discussing this recently on discord and someone suggested that maybe it’d be awkward to try to adapt because the tone is different from later Berserk, and Guts feels a bit different as a character? Which I could also see, though I don’t think that’s a good enough reason to skip it >:( I think an adaption could smooth that out pretty easily anyway.
