xmen apocalypse would’ve and could’ve been better if apocalypse didn’t recruit the two characters who were inconsequential to the movie- angel and psylocke- and instead two characters who were important to other characters. if i were to remake this movie, i would have apocalypse still recruit storm and erik, but also then recruit either jean (a pupil of charles with whom he has a connection to) and either mystique or havok both of whom are very close to charles. and also get rid of the weapon x storyline altogether because it disrupts the plot tbh

For all of the flaws in X-Men Evolution there was a lot it did very well, and letting Wolverine be this grumpy father figure to most of the X-Men was one of them.

#yes it can be argued that most of his adaptations could be described this way #but i think evolution did this dynamic the best #in the 90s he had his moments too #but the tension with jean seemed to over shadow that #here he just got to be a dad with 30 quirky kids he didnt ask for but loves anyway #also don't mind me I'm just rewatching shows from my childhood rip #x men #xmen #xmen evolution #x-men #x men evolution #rogue #logan #wolverine

SEASON 4: BEYOND GOOD & EVIL

Grey/Summers Wedding take 2: and Sinister crashes the wedding instead of the honeymoon this time and takes just Jean.

Seems like somewhere in this arc is the mostly likely place for the Madelyne switch. Whether Sinister did it with or without Apocalypse’s knowledge is up for debate. I tend to think he gave Apocalypse Madelyne.

So many questions:

Why does Shard say Archangel was destined to join the X-Men when Xavier’s flashbacks all show him as a founding member?

Why do people keep saying Psylocke is black/raven-haired?

Do you think Sabretooth & Mystique talk at all about their disappointment of a son when they work together?

I hope they eventually explain how Cable went from being taken to Bishops future 2055 as a baby to living/fighting in 3999.

So Magneto and Mystique go for the double (triple?) cross on Apocalypse. He really does like to tap dance on the good/evil line doesn’t he? “Look who I’m saving? You’d think I were an X-Man”

The Apocalypse they just defeated traveled from 3999, so there’s still an Apocalypse in “present day” who can’t be killed until then (unless more time travel shenanigans are involved)

Actually genuinely on the edge of my seat wanting to hear about the plot device you stole from cinematic monument X-Men (2000)

i may as well say. basically, do you know that bit where they capture cyclops and jean and they neutralise cyclops’ powers by tying him up so that if he opened his eyes he’d send the laser beam straight at her? i want to figure out how i could do that with mage powers for tristan and alistair. for drama. especially because you lose control if you panic. the mechanics are eluding me a little but you do seem to have to cast through your hands so maybe if they just sort of bound his hands to alistair it would work

anyway if i cant figure it out i’ll just have them chain up him and his hands and see how badly a shapeshifting attempt can go
