I've been skimming back through Tai Sui looking for visual descriptions of some characters, and Xi Yue is so funny because, like. Every time he's described Priest goes out of her way to talk about how big his eyes are. Even when he's all grown up and teaching talismans to the Kaiming Department, the description is the same.

Xi Yue has giant extremely round eyes and almost never speaks. He's constantly just There quietly looking. He bites his brother when he gets aggravated.

Fellow Tai Sui enjoyers, please help me fact check!

Are Wen Fei and Xi Yue ever actually in the same room together outside of the extras?

I know they both spend a lot of time on Flying Jade Peak, but I can't recall them ever both being there and conscious at the same time, since Xi Yue spends so much of book 4 in Jinping or out of commission. Is there some scene that I can't find/am forgetting?

"The Ling Xi Caves were labyrinthine. After traveling down a thousand twists and turns. Shen Qingqiu emerged in what seemed like a different world, strange and beautiful. Here, there was neither wind nor moon, yet it was cool and quiet. Together, white stones like clouds and green stones like jade created wonders large and small as well as natural stone beds. At the center lay a pool of clear water that reflected this other world like a mirror.

The only thing that marred the beauty was that some cultivator who'd previously gone into seclusion here hadn't properly cherished this public facility. The cave walls were covered in countless gashes and gouges made by both blade and sword glares. The stone walls were further plastered with swatches of dried blood, and the stains had already blackened.

This was only one cavern of many, and though it looked a tad like a murder scene, Shen Qingqiu was very satisfied and had no plans to find another location. He sat on the stone bed and began to cultivate, carefully following the methods he'd memorized from manuals.

Then, as if the heavens didn't want him to try to honestly farm B-Poins, not long after he began meditating, he heard a strange sound.

Panting.

The panting of a person in pain."

Volume 1, Chapter 2, page 88.

"Well, it looks like someone got murdered here, but other than that, it's a perfect spot!" says Shen Yuan, apparently. The fact that he settles here probably saves Liu Qingge's life, but STILL.

It's not clear here whether this is Yue Qingyuan's "it looks like someone got murdered here" cavern or if this destruction was caused by Liu QIngge, since we don't know how long Liu Qingge was suffering under the effects of a qi deviation. It's kind of funny in a very grim way to think that the Ling Xi Caves might have two "it looks like someone got murdered here" caverns.

I do like the description of the Ling Xi Caves. Very magical.

So what if

Wei wuxian, Xie Lian and Chu Wanning were also reborn as fairies and Shen Yuan and all Of them become friends

Wei wuxian was born from Ning Yingying first laughter

Chu Wanning was born from Shang Qinghua first laughter

Xie Lian was born from Liu Qingge first laughter

I know we all love sweet, innocent Shen Yuan who cares about everyone, but what if we get a little crazy sociopath Shen Yuan since fairies are said to be evil little creatures who take away children

Shen Yuan found Shen Jiu when he was a slave and took him away and Yue Qingyuan when he was coming back for Shen Jiu saw the fairies take Shen Jiu away

And Shen Yuan also found Luo Binghe when he was a baby in the river so he takes the role of Peter Pan
