On the subject of plurality in KH take this headcanon: Terra’s portion of Xehanort’s heartless acted as a protector part/alter in Riku’s system. (I mean he is called Guardian 🧐) Now that he’s gone Riku misses him and acts a bit more recklessly/his age.

kingdom hearts (the entity) is so funny in the kh series it’s like an all powerful world ending macguffin that appears for 5 minutes every game does mostly nothing then disappears i can’t wait to see how it will make a brief appearance in kh4 then fuck off

#sorry for who i am i will continue to be like this #immortality that can only exist by taking from others fascinates me #and a relationship built on two different types of immortality interacting with each other is so neat #add in the complications of the various dynamics...a bodyguard who's technically more experienced #but prefers to take orders and be led. and an ambitious younger immortal who is just beginning to hit #his second adulthood. the thin line separating xehanort and ansem is experience.#and also just biologically...being a heartless. the Only sapient heartless...that's horrifyingly lonely #and being from an era long forgotten...is also terribly lonely.#their isolation is so unique that even their isolations cannot fully be resolved with each other #but in a post kh3 world maybe they could try.

A Kingdom Hearts - What if...? This is actually part of a different project which I'm not willing to share with people (cough), but goofing around with the Data Greetings made me think once more. Looking at the Dark Inferno(?) heartless, which is known as a special boss in KH, I thought of an alternate battle strategy used by Anti-Aqua. In this case, we don't really just have a darkling Aqua, but a corrupted Aqua that has strong hints of Xehanort/Ansem in her. After losing her Keyblade she doesn't use the Demon Tower but instead her own heartless, a Guardian wielding two blades (a nod to her own and Eraqus' blade). Riku and Sora fight Aqua together in the beginning, Riku with his original Keyblade which shatters in this fight. Sora will use the Master's Defender which seems to send some of Aqua's and Eraqus' thoughts and feelings to his heart. But after a while, the Guardian enters stage two, a cold, blue state that enhances its speed and agility. Riku will take the blow that is meant for Sora, losing consciousness and his Keyblade. Sora screaming for Riku is making the Guardian hesitant. Aquanort chuckles at Sora's attempt to fight with an old and used blade like the Master's Defender and scoffs at Aqua's attempt to summon them of all people as help. Sora is not having it though, determined to save Riku and get Aqua's body back. Aquanort starts another attack, increasing the level once more, making the guardian almost explode with dark power. But Sora realizes that the Guardian is reluctant, even fighting against the commands the corrupted Master is giving it. In a split second, the Guardian seems to slightly redirect its attack, so Sora can find the heart in the body of darkness. It sends its light and power out to Sora, reassuring him that he can win and that it'll help him. It jumps back, keeping Aquanort and itself in place, refusing to lift the empty blades. Xehanort's angry words curse the Guardian for its uselessness, taunting and belittling it for still failing its one mission (tapping into the darkness that would constantly grow in Aqua). But Sora stops him, claiming the light the Guardian had passed onto him. Instead of holding the Master's Defender, Rainfell appears in a gush of water, his magic increasing heavily, even changing his clothes. The key reacts to its owner's heart, and Sora can feel the warmth of the light guiding his actions. A beam of light touches the Guardian. Aquanort tries to stop it, but the Guardian grabs her, forcing the both of them to disintegrate in the light, taking the darkness away with them, leaving Sora on the unending ocean, surrounded by stars.

I haven't made the last part into a comic, but I thought this says it all. Just another What if...? from Andrea's book. Kingdom Hearts is so dangerous for me.. I’ve been looking at old scenes and falling back into all these storylines and moments, and it’s literally making my heart ache. Like it feels like someone’s reaching into my chest and actively squeezing my heart. It’s so full of emotion, all of it, so sincere.

Alright one of you yahoos gotta help me with this one: Is Xemnas what Terra would look like at 30? Or is Xemnas what Xehanort looked like at 30?

#At first I thought the answer would be obvious then I remembered Young Xehanort #And how he has enough of a physical resemblance to Terra so I thought maaaaybe it be could be the old coot’s look?#But then I started thinking about Ansem(Seeker of Darkness not the Wise) and how he was also made from Terranort #And I couldn’t help but wonder where he factors in #But maybe that’s simpler since he’s literally Xehanort’s heartless but he DOES look pretty much 1:1 with Apprentice Terranort…#So is Ansem S.O.D. False Xavier aka The "Darkness"

The Comestible Xehanort replica born from the Guardians' fear and hatred of the darkness and Xehanort LITERALLY projected onto Xavier.

Darkness is PURE EVIL and Could NEVER be used for GOOD!

He is not part of us - Not our kind

Xavier, "Kin" of Xehanort and the Heartless, May You Be Blamed for Their Sins!

False Xavier AKA The "Darkness" - Fractured Sky (Final World)

In one last test to see if Sora and his friends would indeed side with Xavier, the Dark Hero, the Light Order used all of their horrible memories of the darkness, the Heartless, and of course, Xehanort and his seekers of Darkness and formed the semi-final Comestible replica of Xavier. Unlike the unlikely hero he all know, False Xavier takes on the seekers' pure malice and pension for saying "darkness" a lot, even though he is indeed a being of PURE LIGHT. He taunts them into hating Xavier for using darkness and therefor must be put in the same league as the Seekers of Darkness. Sora hated Vanitas for siding with Darkness, will Data-Sora do the same with Hero of Darkness, Xavier?

Phase 1 - "Kin" of Xehanort and Heartless

False Xavier takes on the familiar form of Riku-Ansem and Vanitas-Ventus. He will even use LIGHT versions of ALL the seeker's moves. He is unhinged and will attack with mostly unblockable attacks. In depseration, False Xavier will summon a light version of the Guardian and uses it the same why Ansem SoD and Terra-Xehanort did. False Xavier will even absorb the guardians' painful memories to become stronger.

Phase 2 - The Storm that Took Everything

After taking so much damage, False Xavier grows more angry and takes the form of the combination of the Demon Tide and the darkenss smoke that destroyed the Realm of Light. In reality, this "smoke" is made out of fermented blueberries and chocolate to give theillusion of "darkness". Bringing back the horrible memories of friends being separated, it almost tempts Sora and friends to hate Xavier, but this light storm still wasn't enough to turn against the dark hero. Xavier's face is even fading from the storm, making it look more like Xehanort himself. The storm will launch debris from the replica versions of the world the darkness destroyed. The Comestible core in the mouth of the storm is the obvious weak spot.

Phase 3 - True Hate

The jig is up. False Xavier now casts it's seeker form and resembles the "dark sun" that is seen in the Demon Tide and in the Realm of Darkness, but with enraged eyes bursting out of the chocolate coating. In desperation, the core will fire several beans of pure light. All wile STILL mocking the Guardians of Light for failing to defeat the Darkness and accosting them for refusing the Comestibles help to defeat the Darkness once and for all. One mad dash to the eyes and this devious fake of the Dark Hero is no more and the true battle between the revived Seekers of Darkness and the true masterminds of the Light Order and begin!
