Oh, Episode 8:

Wow. The fighting was absolutely incredible. I loved the Summer's trio, Jubilee and Roberto, and Nightcrawler and Wolverine.

My favorite group was Nightcrawler and Wolverine. They were so brutal and just tore through those sentinels.

Jean being a mom to Cable was honestly super funny to me. The Porsche was also really funny.

Cooper letting Magneto go was super cool. I liked her speech a lot. Also, Magneto just completely wiped out all sentinels in SPEEDOS?? Like go him for the body but come on.

Roberto's mom turning on him kinda hurt but I also completely saw it coming. And his whole flying around thing was cool.

I kind of want the X-Men to be mad at Xavier. He was just gone and then he comes back like "Yo! Am I late or like what's up, homies?"

THE SPIDERMAN CAMEO WAS CRAZY ALSO SILVER SAMURAI HELLO???

Again, none of the boy. We still sad.

Magneto is JEWISH. He is a Jewish character. The original version of the story the new X-Men 97 season is trying to tell relied on him being snapped out his plan by a young Jewish girl being hurt (I actually posted about how much I love this story beat last year). A young Jewish girl he later attends a meeting of Holocaust survivors with. Telling this story without using the word “Holocaust” or “Jewish” is so very telling. And it’s not a one off with this show— Roberto is an Afro-Brazilian character who manifested his powers because of a hate crime and they changed his origin completely.

Disney will ALWAYS shy away from these issues. They will ALWAYS want the kudos from having minority characters while sanitizing their stories. Really think about what it means for them to do this to characters like Sunspot and Magneto, but stand their ground when it comes to keeping the Israeli propaganda character in upcoming Cap movie.

People bashing Rogue need to remember she was grieving. She looked right at Kurt's eyes and said "you weren't there, you didn't lose anything" because she wasn't being rational because she's grieving. What do you want from her? Swallow her grief and move on? Did you never say something you shouldn't?

You want her to grieve for Remy but don't act on it? Do you forget she lost the person that she loved like she lost all others? Her father disowned her, Mystique betrayed her, Remy died.

Actually, stop seeing this through ship-lenses, forget all about rogueneto and Remy. She tried Xavier's approach and what it got her? A friend dead on her arms. Herself, crying and surrounded by corpses of her own kind

People saying that this Magneto was written badly need to understand what is happening. Do you understand it? He saw millions die, again. It's not the first time he goes through this shit and he has all the right to be tired. It doesn't justify his actions but, gosh, he has the right to be tired.

And it's not like he didn't try Xavier's path, but isn't Bastion a by-product of humanity's hate? And it's not like Xavier is to be directly blamed, it's just that he isn't helping the situation either, trying to force people's hands

I’ve seen people use Rogue’s dance with Magneto as a reason to hate on her so I’m gonna put out my opinion on that scene.

Did she break Gambit’s heart?

Yes, she definitely did but remember that the first boyfriend she had almost died from kissing her so her fears are not irrational.

I would also go on to say that she probably didn’t believe Gambit when he says that they don’t need to be physical considering how he was with other women.

Now for the dance scene, I believe that she was enjoying being able to touch someone and was trying to convince herself that she made the right decision. At one point, Rogue glances to her side while dancing and I would guess that’s a sign that she was second-guessing her decision.

Finally, she and magneto kissed which made her realize that she did not love him. Being physical with someone was not important and that she loved Gambit.

TLDR: Rogue was enjoying touching someone then realizes she loves Gambit, despite not being able to touch him
