The civilized have created the wretched, quite coldly and deliberately, and do not intend to change the status quo; are responsible for their slaughter and enslavement; rain down bombs on defenseless children whenever and wherever they decide that their "vital interests" are menaced, and think nothing of torturing a man to death: these people are not to be taken seriously when they speak of the "sanctity" of human life, or the "conscience" of the civilized world.  There is a "sanctity" involved with bringing a child into this world: it is better than bombing one out of it. Malcolm...Hampton...Kwame...Fanon...these men remain my idols. The calibre they honed made them stand in a league no man of intelligence or power could ever come close to again after them. They stand iconic next to Jesus. True heroes for living. Sent by God to uplift and uproot millions of lives from mental enslavement. Freeing the mind to escape physical captivity from the Devil. All of them speaking poetry to my soul. Each one inside a godliness they taught *we* own. I worship their existence for the worth they give. & Praise them for the fight to decolonize earth. Only Poc authors: native american for fiction, arab and black writers for non fiction.

Summer is definitely for horror, however The only Good Indians would have worked better as film script: it lacked character development, felt superficial rather than atmospheric, took too long to achieve its purpose (the book is over 300 pages long) given it's not about tension but about the killings (which were indeed impressive).

I have never regretted my slow reading so much: this list is the perfect list with only brilliant poc authors and my enjoyment should be bigger....

To USamericans: don't get mad at people who call you settler/colonizer. get mad at the political and economic systems that forced that identity onto you. the people calling you settler/colonizer are only putting a name to something that already is. The worst thing that happens when called a settler/colonizer by indigenous and colonized peoples is that your pride is hurt. The worst thing that happens when born into the settler/colonizer class is that you are, against your will, defined by the imperialist regime and made to justify its existence. You are coerced from birth to participate in its markets and are passively made complicit in its crimes. The regime uses you as justification for its genocides, theft of resources, and its cruel global hegemony, all for the sake of "securing your future." You, the US American people, are the tool of an anti-people regime. Don't get mad at the indigenous/colonized peoples who call a spade a spade. Get mad at the people who made you into one.

You guys gotta accept that your favorite character doesn’t always share your politics ok sometimes your favorite guy is a weird libertarian. Jason Todd is pro murder but he’s not pro death penalty because he doesn’t trust institutions and he’s anti authoritarian. He doesn’t vote but he will threaten a local corrupt politician with a car bomb. He thinks you should probably buy a gun. His politics are somewhat incoherent which makes him an average American man
