#SpecialMarriageAct #Shukkur #Kerala #KeralaStory #TheIndianness #AnokhaBhaarat #InspiringIndian #WomenRight #DaughtersRight #InspiringStories #InterestingStory #Kasargoda #SuperStree #IndianHistory #IndianStories https://www.instagram.com/p/CppFhjGJiz4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

These ENEMY COMBATANTS won’t stop with women. They’re coming for married people like me and my wife, because we’re not the same race. Don’t believe me? They’ll never stop. Evangelicals are RUTHLESS. Shouldn’t have made an enemy out of me. Because I don’t stop either and I can be just as ruthless. FOR YEARS, I’d been hearing them say, “if you don’t love America, you should leave!” But the truth is, evangelical Christian conservatives HATE America, and they always have. If they didn’t hate it so much, none of them would have been trying so desperately to change it and remake it into what they want it to be, for more than 50 years. Repost from @mazjobrani • ‏I am an ally of women and very upset at the Supreme Court ruling against a woman’s choice. This is how totalitarian states begin to take away your rights!

Best Bar & Restaurants in Panchkula
Are You looking for the Best Bar & Restaurants in Panchkula?
Panchkula has a lot of restaurants and bars that are famous for their delicious food and drinks. However, not all of these places have the same ambience or service. So when your friends ask which one to meet up at, you might get stuck as to which place they will like best.
So, to save yourself from the awkward situation of not having a place to suggest, Twisted barrel restaurant is the best place to go to.
We began at the bar and settled there for a while before deciding which table we would sit at. We ordered Malai Doi, Lemonade and Sambhar. The place is no more than a simple but cozy pub with friendly staff and tables that are small enough that one can have some privacy as well. You won't feel too cramped in the place because all the tables are open except for the ones in front of main entrance where you will find just a few seats. The place is light and airy with a mixed music playlist. The food is absolutely authentic and delicious. The lemonade was very different from what we were used to, but it was pleasant.
Tumblr media
The service was quick and efficient. We ordered for two starters, two main dishes and drinks for about 25 people and it took just around 20 minutes to reach all the tables. They don't have many varieties in their menu but their food is so good AND cheap that we didn't mind spending our money here again at all.

Why are old, grey men not capable of staying away from the rights of women?
Tumblr media
The world is changing into a hostile place. Hostile for everyone? No. Despite all the old, grey men who whine about the ‘cancel culture’ that prevents them from saying the things they have said for 70 years, its still old, grey men who decide in this world. I am not always in favor of cancelling opinions, however, the world has always changed. Luckily - we can imagine the conversation in the Middle Ages where someone would discover the toilet and the sewage system, and would find opposition from others about this ridiculous new idea. That counts for ideas too. 70 years ago, in The Netherlands women could not go shopping without a signature of their father or husband. Only 150 years ago, black people were considered slaves. Things have changed and a lot of these changes were, luckily, in favor of the people who needed these changes most. But in this time, it seems as if old people want to grab the power back. The Netherlands have a conservative government, more worried about ‘the right to barbecue’ than climate change, the UK chose Boris Johnson as its Prime Minister, Hungary elected a party that fights lgbti-rights and the US did a pretty serious experiment with a leader who was conservative, right-wing and crazy.
The cartoon above, made in Egypt (https://cartoonmovement.typepad.com/.a/6a014e5f5d3c7c970c01b8d2a5d648970c-750wi) makes absolutely clear that the things that men take for granted, like showing of their body everywhere, can lead to danger for women. The same situation in which a man is oerfectly safe, will make a woman be very much unsafe.
Despite all the political realities, in fact most people are pretty progressive when it comes to things as women rights. Most people want to fight climate change. A lot of people are in favor of helping migrants, of giving lgbti people more rights and safety. And, a lot of people want to give more rights to women as well. And this remains very much needed.
But democracy is still dictated by the few. Even if the majority of the Americans is in favor of the right of abortion, the Supreme Court might make an end to this. The way in which American conservatives deal with abortion is frankly disgusting. These rules are not meant to safe lives. If that was the case, it would be a better option to forbid weapons. Also, in my opinion, a life is not just a heartbeat. A life is a chance to make something of it. A woman who was been raped, or gets pregnant by an accident or is pregnant of a kid that will never have a good life due to a handicap, will not be able to give her kid a real life. Especially victims of rape are suffering a mayor blow. Of course, this happens by the same people who also think that if they dress sexy, they are almost guilty of their own rape. It’s enraging, this logic. The rules that are being made in this world, make it impossible for women to be who they want to be, without fearing for men to rape them and take their right of abortion away from them.
I don’t want to go into why I think that abortion should be a right. Others can explain that much better than I can. But I do need to express my absolute anger about the way that women rights are treated around the world.
Tumblr media
In this graph, we clearly see the support for abortion. Only 32% of the Americans (according to this poll, so of course we have to take it with a grain of salt) want to further limit the right to abortion. And we need to understand, that this right is already under conquest. The case of Texas makes this absolutely clear. A minority rules the majority, because of their way of thinking, because of rules that were made to favor them.
But also in The Netherlands, abortion is always a difficult subject. Some parties, that are needed in coalitions, are against it. In the Dutch law, you still commit an abortion. Of course, there is a right to it, but its still punishable by law. It would not take much to change that back. Not that a majority wants that, but a majority in parliament is not the same as a majority in the country. Lobbies of old, grey man are often stronger than the majority. And that is disgusting.
Roe v Wade, and the possible overturning of it by the Supreme Court, is example number so-many of men worldwide trying to gain back the control that they always had and never lost, but sometimes seem to have to give away a bit to young people, with new fresh ideas, and even worse, women and minorities. Taking away rights of people has nothing to do with democracy. Its disgusting.

Activist Malala Yousafzai posted on instagram a few hours ago about her recent trip to Brazil a month ago for encouraging improvements for school education and experiences.
With the following:
“ I am often asked how I stay motivated in my fight for girls’ education. Last month’s trip to Brazil is the perfect answer. I spent nearly a week travelling throughout this beautiful country, hearing from girls who are determined to learn and the education advocates who are helping them realise their dreams.
In Recife, Black, Indigenous and quilombola girls told me about their efforts to improve learning in their communities, like Gabrielle whose Facebook post about how her school wasn’t providing meals or water caught the eye of the local education secretary, who was able to fix the issue.
At a school in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, girls shared stories of overcoming harassment and abuse and how participating in training programs from @MalalaFund partners helped them to find confidence to speak out about the problems they faced.Deyvilla told me how she learned how policy works: “We made demands about how to improve things in our communities”.
She also thank other organisations promoting increase in girls education, inclusivity, safety, and funds in Brazil and how much more they will be able to achieve.Like the Centro de Cultura Luiz Freire, Anaí, Blogueiras Negras, Centro das Mulheres do Cabo, Coletivo Mangueiras, and Grupo Curumim.
She ended her post with:
“ I left Brazil feeling energised. These meetings remind me that there are so many people in every corner of this world with the same mission: to create a world where every girl can learn and lead. When we are united in our fight, we will accomplish amazing things for girls everywhere. Until next time, obrigada por tudo🇧🇷”.
Matter of fact this isn’t also the first time Malala visited Brazil as she visited five years ago on her birthday.

Sometimes, Salma bursts in tears as she struggles with her homework. She works hard to catch up after spending years out of school because her family was displaced twice. Less than 2 years ago, when she moved to Mazar, she could not read or write. Now 13, Salma goes to middle school with her two sisters, hoping to become “a doctor that treats people for free”. She knows poverty too well herself. I followed Salma, Omedah (from Faryab, shown before) and Sakina for @lemondedesadosmag to show French readers their age what it means being an Afghan teenage girl one year after the Taliban return. The three live in different places and face different challenges. For Salma, it is poverty and the fear of not being good enough in class. She lives in a house much too small for the family of 18. Her grandfather sleeps in the hall under a mosquito net, sick, but too poor to see a doctor. Her brothers had had to stop school to work—one sells vegetables, the other works as a cleaner in a hospital. Her father has lost his job as a tailor. Still, the family does its best so the three daughters can have a different future. “I don’t want my daughters to be illiterate like me, I want them to study as much as they can” says their mother Diana. Salma will not give up. She follows a very tight schedule starting at 4am, which include, of course, a lot of homework, helping her mother with housework and cooking, but also jumprope—“to become taller”. Note - girls do not keep their faces covered during class—they did this time because of the. #Balkh #Afghanistan Photo & text: Elise Blanchard @eliseblchrd.           The Taliban have closed universities for female students, the Ministry of Higher Education said on Tuesday in Afghanistan. "You are all informed to immediately implement the mentioned order of suspending education of females under further notice," read a letter issued by the Ministry to all goverment and private universities. A spokesman for the Education Ministry also tweeted the letter, with the ban meaning that girls and women have been effectively locked out of classrooms after 6th grade. The ban on higher education comes less than three months after thousands of women took university entrance exams across the country, with many aspiring to become teachers or medical practitioners. Universities had remained open to women since the Taliban swept back into power in August 2021, so long as they attended classes separated from male students. The Taliban-led government in Afghanistan also reportedly specified subjects that women could choose to study at their universities.
