I don't have many fears, but a big one for me is the fear that a large streamer or youtuber plays Disco Elysium and introduces it to people with no reading comprehension skills.

I think it would be tragic if something happens to qfit but it’d be way more tragic if something happens to pac and Ramon. Fit can’t get attached not because of what’ll happen to him but what will happen to the others
I wish for no suffering of Ramon, Pac on the otherhand I will throw him to the wolves.

on that note.
my last snippet was posted almost a month ago and ngl I haven't work on it since.
as an apology and excuse for y'all to motivate me to continue this WIP...here's another snippet.
“I see you two have already met,” Bobby spoke with a smile you have no idea Eddie thought but stayed silent. “Buck, this is Eddie Diaz our new recruit as well as your new partner for at least the next year.”
Eddie felt his world come crashing down a little, he had heard the 118 being the top firehouse so he didn't want to transfer. But this was Buck, his Buck, the Buck he loved so bad years ago and hadn't seen since.
Buck on the otherhand gave a nervous smile, nodding at Eddie before moving past to make a beeline to the showers.
Eddie had no choice but to watch him walk away like he did back in El Paso.
-
so that's that.
tags from the last snippet, lmk if you want a tag in the next!

Legends of Barovia update! Its been a while and a lot of sessions since i did one!
Rhil has lycanthropy, we banished an escaped vestiage/demonlord, Traveled around with Ezmerelda and got harrassed by Morgantha
-We got back from the lonely tower to find Milijov abd Henrick about to be publicly executed by Rahadin for stealing the bones.
-Rhil stepped up and successfully talked down their sentence, they were only publicly lashed. Rahadin actually seemed sad that Rhil was glaring at him so hard.
-Mirre used his scryglass he got from the lonely tower and figured out where Anastrasya took the female children and Reek
-Rhil made a pact with Mother Night through her vestiage in the amber shard named Pandoryum. Hes serving as a conduit for Mother Nights power.
-Rhil got flash backs to her time as a priestess of Mother Night, her life before her temple was destroyed, and she was killed. Mother Night was a celestial archfey who was betrayed by the Rozana, the ladies three, and was sealed away by the fanes. Rhil was told that in order to free Mother Night, she had to use the gems at their respective fanes to destroy the seals.
-we headed out in the morning by horse to check a small town named Reneka. According to Urwin, it used to be a large trading hub for lumber until all communications stopped and traders started disapearing.
-We cross some flooding and end up at a sketchy lumbermill, it was filled with lycanthropes. Werewolves, werebats and wereboars, oh my. Combat ensues after we find out Anastraysa dropped off "unsuitable" children and the lycans have either been sending them to Kresk or snacking on them. We win after hordes of wolves and lycans. Both werebats fled, but not before Mirre branded one with his brand of castigation.
-Rhil and Jace got bitten, Rhil by a werewolf and Jace by a wereboar. Rhil learned that lycanthropy was created by Mother Night to serve as guardians of Cerrunos to protect the forests and it's been slowly corrupted by the mists since she was sealed away. Pandoryum told Rhil that if she can learn to control it, it will help her later on.
-Rhil grew up with lycanthropes, her Auntie Irda who she adores is a werewolf. So she's choosing to embrace the lycanthropy. Jace on the otherhand, does not want it. So through an old Mother Night ritual and help from Pandoryum, they cured Jace of his lycanthropy.
-We move on after sending back a group of traders with a girl from the orphanage back to Vallaki with our horses, and we make it to Reneka. Which is in horrible condition, tons of corpses litering the streets. We get chased around a bit by demonic statues that reform after being killed and end up at a old monastery of the morninglord which is arguably worse then the town itself.(very diablo like it was great)
-we prepare for a fight and armed with a banishment ritual to be rid of Arsynax, the lord of plauges. Rhil and Jace are eventually killed, trying to set up the ritual. Luckily Mirre stayed alive so he could finish the ritual and banished Arsynax.
-Mirre went to revivify Jace and Rhil, But one of his vestiges, Tarakamedes, stated the dead needed to remain dead and wasted a revivify scroll as Mirre tried to use it. Mirre begged his other vestige, Seriach, for help. After back and forth between the two(felt like a dad and mom arguement), Tarakamedes said he would help this once, but if both died, Mirre himself would not be able to revive them and they needed to stay dead. Seriach stated that Mirre owed him a favor before both dissapeared after reviving Rhil and Jace.
-after some much needed rest and Mirre getting got by a nightmare haunting from Morgantha. We headed out to follow the trail of one of the werebats marked by Mirre's brand of Castigation.
-we were eventually ambushed by spawns, wolves and werewolves, we got surounded pretty quick.
-a lighting bolt came from the trees and took out a few we had whittled down and in came Ezmerelda to help us fight!
-after the fight settled, we talked and turns out Ezmerelda has been tracking a pack of loup garu for personal reasons(her missing leg) and came across us. Believing we could possibly put her on a lead to the loup garu's, she offered to help us find and save the children.
-after hours of traveling and some catching up and learning about eachother, Mirre and Ez bantered quite a bit. Talking about past monster hunter stories while Rhil was fangirling in the back since she knows Mirre's has a crush on Ez. Ez is also looking for Rudolph Van Richten, who without a word, just up and left for Barovia.
-we eventually get to a cave, we fight our way inside and turns out that Anastrasya learned Mirre cared about Reek and took him with her back to Ravenloft. We figure out that shes been experimenting on these little girls and has them turned into undead and caged up in cells, a lot of them we recognize from the orphanage. The only one that wasnt fully turned was a little girl named Myrtle, a little girl we saved from the hags, but something definitely wasnt quite right about her.
-we quickly get ambushed by the bloodthirsty spawn and have to fight and kill off a bunch of children. we make it out through a back entrance since Anastrasya had traps set up to cave us in and we popped out on the other side of the mountain.
-Ez is about to part ways until Mirre confesses that he knows where Van Richten is and offered to lead her to him. Despite Richten telling him to steer Ez away from himself, Mirre's going through some things with the recent death of his mentor and feels Ez deserves the chance to at least talk to Richten. Ez appreciates it and comes along with us to travel to Vallaki.
-Morgantha shows up and offers to leave us alone in the future if we hand over Myrtle. We, of course, refused and get chased into the woods by large hordes of the undead and three yeth hounds. Morgantha saying she will make our lives living nightmares.
-after being chased around the woods, we try to settle for night after stumbling across a group of Dwarves that ended up in Barovia that day and have been lost.
-after some drinks, food and heavy flirting between Mirre and Ez. We get ambushed by sorrowsworn who tear through the dwarves and kill every one infront of us.
-after us quickly getting overwhelmed, Mirre dies and is torn apart infront of Ez, Jace being next until our lights go out and Rhil gets a powersurge from Pandoryum, entering a shadowy state where shes nothing but a black silhouette with glowing purple eyes and scares them off. Mirre gets revived by Pandoryum.
-Ez helps tend to Mirre who resets up his rites. Ez states that while the rites are useful, it was hard for her to see him bleed so soon after watching him die
-We have successfully killed off two yeth hounds but are chased into cave/crypt by a horrible storm. we open a coffin that was recently moved to find and unconcious Jace. Turns out the second we entered the cave Morgantha swapped him out with a fake Jace. Fake Jace looking corrupted and dead with a sword all to familiar to Vladimir's. The illusion disappears before it can strike us and Morgantha strolls in.
-She curses us. The curses go like this.
"We can do so much more then give you wee little nightmares dearies, we can make them into reality. You have no idea what you've messed with."
She sets her gaze upon Mirre. "You gave us your voice, son of bloody hunts, now let it strike fear into all those you converse with." A cold tickle can be felt within your throat.
She shifts her gaze toward Rhil. "You gave us your heart, daughter of night, now let it be drowned in the dark seas of doubt." A slight tightening can be felt within your chest.
Her gaze then lingers on the sarcophagus containing Jace. "The son of bright kings light gave us his word, a paladin is only as good as the oaths he keeps, is he not?"
-then she summons a huge shadow monster and atleast 9 shadows before leaving.
A fight ensues, Jace remaining unconsious the entire time. Mirre gets dragged off by the large shadow while Rhil and Ez fend off the smaller shadows.
Once Rhil clears up a lot of the shadows with spirit guardians. Ez races to try and help Mirre whos fighting for his life, she upcasts her lighting bolt and does just enough damage to let Mirre finish it off. Mirre only had 2 strength left, so he would have died if he got hit again.
-the fight ends, we get Jace up who has a level of exhaustion now and Ez carries Mirre since hes to weak to stand and we flee as fast as we can out of there.
-the session ends when we finally pop out of the woods at the walls of Vallaki!

Kudaai Thoughts™ with a side portion of Claunek
Okay, okay, I swear I'm working on other fics right now, I have a NariLamb one coming shortly, I just need to finish typing it up in docs.
But Kudaai brainrot is strong and without access to discord to blab and blab about him I needed someway to purge myself of these thoughts.
So I wrote these out in a fervor on one of my breaks at work. Its messy, but it is what it is.
First off, we don't know for sure what they are, but I have two possibilities that I like, may end up even combining them together. I like to think that these two are some type of dragon morph, preferably crocodile or alligator, with their "cloaks" being scales or feathers. Another idea is that the "cloaks" are leaves, and they're both some type of nature creatures. The idea of them being a dragon morph with leaf scales that change with the season is such a cool idea to me. Claunek gains pink highlights in the spring while Kudaai gains more orange and red. In winter they both turn white, with light layers of frost settling over them. Inside me there are two wolves-
I do also believe these two are gods within their own right. Haro explains that the lands of the Old Faith once had many gods, hundreds even, and that many of them are gone now. Some were killed, others left, others still slept. It wouldn't surprise me if under their hoods, these guys have their own little crowns. The Bishops are aware of their existence but they have an agreement, Claunek and Kudaai are allowed to live on their land so long as they don't try to amass any followers or grab power from them. This works fine for the two of them as they care not for such things as worshippers, they just want to focus on their craft.
Kudaai, I see being a God of Flame, the first fire being the one lighting his forge and is unable to burn out, seeing as he mentions it being an eternal flame in his dialogue. As well as this he is known as a god of blacksmithing - think Hephaestus from Greek Myth. Not only do mortal blacksmiths follow his practices for forging, but followers of all kinds pray to him for blessings on things. This can include anything from horseshoes so a follower's mount stays sturdy and strong for a long journey to blessings on tools and building materials for homes so that they can weather any storm and have protection from intruders.
Claunek I see as a God of Prophecy, moreso than Shamura. Shamura can see visions of the future, but they can only see so many before they feel drained, and they arent able to choose what they see. Claunek on the otherhand, can choose. Where Shamura is more spontanious, Claunek is more like Garnet from Steven Universe. He can see the different branching pathways an individuals furture can take, from most likely to happen to least likely to happen. He can then use this knowledge to influence them towards a more desired outcome, but anything is still possible as the future is never set in stone. His tarot cards are tied to this ability, and however he wants to answer your questions or influence you, it effects which cards he pulls during readings. This is to say that no matter how many times you shuffle his deck, take or remove cards, etc, if he has a specific path he wants to push you towards, the appropriate card will manifest within the deck for him to pull. As for if he has a second domain to rule over the way the other gods in the game do, I have been entertaining the idea that he has some control over hope. It makes sense to me, considering he can see other's futures, being able to sense what they hope and wish for would be incredibly helpful.
I do see them both as brothers, the same way all the Bishops are related to one another. Whether they were born from another god's death, or simply manifested, they came into the world knowing who the other was and calling them brother. I do think Kudaai came first and acts as an older brother. He's protective over Claunek, and has sacrificed a lot to keep his younger sibling safe from the dangers of their world. He is covered in scars from past battles, and a couple of the weapons stuck in his back are results of said battles. They cause him chronic pain and Claunek feels guilty whenever he thinks to much about how they got there. He often makes tea blends and medicines from herbs in the forests to help ease his brother's issues. I do enjoy the dynamic of them having a sibling rivalry, however I actually see Claunek as the more competitive one.
Specifically, he's the more competitive one in a passive aggressive/subtle way. Kudaai stops by with a wonderful new tea blend he wanted to gift his brother? Oh well, Claunek also got him some new rare ingots and high quality leather for his next weapon project, clearly he is better at gift giving. And he has better snacks to choose from, and is superior at games of wit. Kudaai just kinda sits to the side like; "Cool. Anyway…"
I honestly see his personality being more in line with like, a knight? He's very reserved and calm, patience coming just as easily to him as his younger brother due to the nature of his craft. He handles things the way he handles forging, careful strikes and patience, waiting for the right moment to make his move. This doesn't carry over to social situations, however. As a young God growing in such a dangerous land, with a delicate charge of his baby brother relying on him, Kudaai didn't have much time for socializing. If he needed to talk to others, for whatever reason, his words were always few and clipped. He never shared more than he needed to, the sword lodged in his right shoulder was a very potent lesson in keeping his thoughts and secrets close.
This is one of the reasons Claunek tries to stay loose and carefree, as well as try to engage his sibling in a healthy sibling rivalry. He hates to think that Kudaai never got to express himself or have friends or live life in any way because he was too busy taking care of his baby brother and protecting him from danger. Claunek likes to think that someday he'll be able to help his older sibling break out of his emotional imprisonment and be happy.
Thing is, Kudaai is happy. Or at least, he thinks he is. He's a bit of a minimalist, and doesn't have much desire for material things or the company of others. His younger brother is safe and happy, he gets to work on his forge as often as he wants…what more could he need?
I do have many, many, many more thoughts about these two jumping around, but I can't get them all out as of right now. Probably will write more about them soon.

If you want to you could write some C! Dream being soft around reader?
Secluded Cabin's and Gentle Touches
♡Pairing: Dream x GN!Reader (with hints of platonic!GN!reader x Tommy and Tubbo)
♡Genre: Fluff
♡Format: Fanfiction
♡Summary: It's not uncommon for Tommy and Tubbo to bring people over to your place so you can help calm them down after a prank, but today they seemed to drag by a familiar face that you have yet to properly spend time with. Lucky for you, he seems to be longing to talk to you as well.
♡Au Setting: Au where the war never happens but tensions are still high.
Tumblr media
"Get back here!"
Despite the voice ordering them to stop, Tommy and Tubbo continued to run like their lives depended on it, and to be fair, it kinda did in this situation. Wet hands stained in different coloured dyes served as proof of their crimes and a green hooded man wearing an awfully smudged looking mask makes it clear who their latest prank victim was.
"What were we fucking thinking!?" but a laugh at the end of his yelling as he dodges Dream's outstretched hand makes it clear that Tommy doesn't regret his life choices at all.
"I don't know!" Tubbo on the otherhand, was starting to regret his involvement in the prank. His legs were starting to ache and his chest began to burn as he slowly became exhausted. A wild chase like this isn't exactly new to them but Dream's persistence really makes it hard for a person to catch a breather between runs. "Tommy, where are we even going!?"
Tommy opened his mouth to respond but a trail of scattered lanterns and torches answers Tubbo's question for him. Tubbo lets out a knowing, "ooooh!" And uses whatever remaining energy he can to keep up with Tommy, knowing exactly what his friend had in mind.
In the distance, they can see you sitting on your porch, playing with a parrot you had managed to tame while out searching for cocoa beans. Relief washes over them when you lock eyes with them and start jogging over with your bird in tow, a worried expression evident on your face.
They're quick to hide behind you when they get close enough, clutching the back of your shirt while trying to catch their breaths to answer your questions as to who they were running from this time and why.
"Dream-" is all Tommy can manage to wheeze out before he's coughing up a lung and swearing again.
"Ah," honestly, after knowing the pair for a good few years now, just mentioning a name gives you a pretty good idea of the type of prank they pulled and the danger they could be in. Thankfully, Dream wasn't a major threat, to you at least.
"Alright, alright, go hide in the house quickly and don't come out until I tell you guys to. If I die, make sure to take care of the farm animals and bees for me."
"Bless you, (y/n)."
"Your sacrifices won't be in vain, we promise!"
You give them a joking salute and urge them to go inside quickly, informing them that you can hear Dream approaching closer. Once the boys were safely inside, you tried your best to look as natural as possible with the limited time you had to adjust yourself. When Dream arrives, you can see that he's just as tired as the boys are thanks to the chase, though his stance continues to be tense as he frantically looks around for them, fists clenched tight until his knuckles turned ghost white.
"Fuck, where did they run off to?"
"Not gonna give a stranger a kind hello after walking onto their lawn with murderous intent?" You and Dream weren't really strangers per say, you had to meet up with him when you moved into the server after all, but due to conflicting schedules and how often Tommy and Tubbo dragged you away whenever he tried to make conversation, you two didn't know each other all that well. That doesn't mean that you didn't want to try though.
When Dream realizes where he was and who he was talking, he's quick to adjust his mask and hoodie to make himself look somewhat... presentable, as presentable as he can look with sweat marks and a messed up mask at least.
'Why did those two have to run up to your house out of all places,' Dream mentally whines to himself, clearing his throat and giving you a single awkward wave as he walks up to you.
"Hey, (y/n). I didn't know you lived in this part of the server," that was a lie. Dream did know where you live, he knew where everyone did but it would be a little creepy to just put that information out there, wouldn't it?
"It'd be a little weird if I just started screaming out my address to random people on the streets, wouldn't it?" You try to joke, earning a little laugh from Dream.
"Okay, yeah, you got me there."
You pat an empty spot beside you on your porch step, inviting Dream over for a bit of rest and he accepts your offer gratefully, practically slumping beside you as he suddenly feels just how tired he is.
"Love the new look you gave your mask by the way," Dream groans at your teasing and pulls at his hoodie strings, hoping to cover his whole mask with his hood. He's glad you can't see his face right now because he can feel his cheeks practically burning at the fact that when he finally gets a chance to talk and get close to you it's when he's a sweating tired mess who looks like a wreck at best.
"I'm going to kill those two when I find them," he mumbles under his breath.
The slam that follows within your home could not have been more terribly timed.
"What was that?"
"Must be my wolves," you lied through your teeth, knowing damn well that your actual wolves were sleeping in your bedroom, "they learned how to open doors recently, I think they're messing around at the moment."
While he's distracted, staring at your window to check what's going on inside of your home, you're quick to read through your most recent private messages on your communicator.
Tommy: HE'S HERE!
Tommy: (Y/N), WHY AREN'T YOU TELLING HIM TO FUCK OFF!?
Tommy: Fuck this, we're hiding in the kitchen.
Tubbo: We're making a run for it through the back.
Tommy: We'll hide in your barn like runaway children.
Tubbo: Isn't that what we technically are right now?
Tommy: (y/n), we're making a fucking run for it if you don't answer us in 3 seconds.
Tommy: 3!
Tommy: 2!
Tubbo: We'RE OUT! I REPEAT, WE'RE OUT!
"Yup," you pop your P a little at the end, annoyed yet amused at the string of frantic messages still continuing to pop up on your communicator as they make their escape, "definitely my wolves causing all of that chaos."
Dream knows that you're lying from the way you read through your messages but he doesn't say a word about it, choosing instead to take this golden opportunity to get closer to you without worrying about anyone getting in the way.
"Not really how you thought the day would go, huh?"
You can't help but laugh and shake your head, "Not at all, I thought it was just going to be another boring day with my bird, but hey, I'm glad you showed up to make it a little more special."
"Really?" Dream hates how happy he sounds to hear you say that, but he'll beat himself up over it another time.
"It's not everyday you see Mr. WasTaken himself visiting your humble home, now is it?" Oh, or maybe he won't.
"I guess not, that really should change, shouldn't it?" You can hear the little grin in his voice as he realizes the game your playing.
"It really should, but a quick heads up would be good, unless you'd like to deal with said 'wolves' I mentioned earlier."
He chuckles and shakes his head, mentioning how he's more than aware that those two 'wolves' of yours would probably rip him apart if he ever visited you unannounced.
It isn't long before you invite Dream inside, offering to help clean his mask as an apology on the boys's behalf. He claims that he doesn't mind but he would rather not take his mask off in front of you when he hasn't gotten to know you all that well.
"You don't have to remove it if you feel uncomfortable, I'll just wipe away whatever I can with a cloth, but if you're still hesitant, I'd understand."
He takes a moment to consider your offer, trying to see if you have any other ulterior motives. It's not that he doesn't want to trust you, he does, but sometimes you just have to be a little extra cautious even with people you like. Sensing no ill intent on your part though, he relaxes himself once more and accepts your help, letting his hood finally loosen and fall back to ease your process.
Your actions are incredibly comforting to Dream who can't help himself from leaning into your touches every once in a while. He watches you with his fullest attention as you wipe away the mess on his mask with a damp cloth. He loves how focused you look while doing so, taking in every little quirk you may have while you concentrate. His little crush on you that he's harboured ever since he saw you running around the server can't help but grow every second you give him your attention.
There's a certain draw to you that Dream can't fight off no matter how hard he tries, you just manage to hold a certain power over him and that was evident by the fact that he completely lost interest in continuing his hunt for Tommy and Tubbo even after finding out that they were still most likely on your property. Dream was a persistent man, he was never one to simply drop something with no proper reason at all. There was just this appeal to you that he couldn't describe and he was desperate to find out what it was about you that made him act differently than he normally would.
"Okay then, that's the last of it," he has to stop himself from letting out a whine when you pull your hands away from his mask, he wants to say something to try to get you to continue on longer but decides against it, not wanting to seem desperate. His eyes don't leave you even after you pull away, watching you rinse off the dirty cloth before throwing it into what seemed to be a bin filled with laundry. When you return to sit by his side, he can't help but swallow a bit of his pride to rest his head on your shoulder. It's a big risk to take, but at least he has an excuse for his actions if he ever needs it.
"Tired, Dream?"
"Mhmm," he feels himself melt when you let your fingers run through his slightly sweat damp hair, clearly unphased by the state of it much, to his joy.
"You wanna rest here for a while? I'm sure you could get a good nap in before leaving."
"That depends, can I still use you as my pillow?"
"Not like I have anything else to do for the rest of the day, knock yourself out."
"Then if you'll excuse me," his head is quick to leave your shoulder to instead rest in your lap and the blissful sigh he lets out escapes his lips before he can even stop himself. You just feel so comfortable to him. "I'm gonna drift off, wake me up in an hour or so, will you?"
You let out a hum in response and it isn't long before you start to see Dream's body go slack, his breathing now steady and deep as he slowly falls asleep. It's quite endearing seeing Dream act so affectionately towards you, something you certainly didn't expect from a guy who carries himself with a subtle wave of authority, but you definitely weren't complaining as you continued to play with his hair once again.
Dream would never tell a single soul about it, but this was quiet possible the best sleep he's gotten in years, if he even tried to sleep at all to begin with. The thought to just slow down and relax is never really on his mind, his head always spinning with things he has to do. However, with you, he's glad to know that he can look to you for comfort from now on, something he now realizes is rather hard to find on the server. It pains him to know that he'll have to leave in just a few moments but for now, he'll take what he can get from you and maybe, if you let him, he'll be sure to return your sweet gestures tenfold one day.

Wayward Guide Podcast Episode 4 Analysis/Theory
What up, y’all. It’s Friday, meaning new Wayward Guide podcast episode. Which also means a new analytical theory essay.
CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR: Wayward Guide Ep 3 & 4, WG Podcast Ep 2 & 4
One of the big pieces of information we gathered from this podcast episode is that the current council members are evenly spilt on pro/anti-mining. We know that Agnes and Cliff are pro-mining while Aubrey and Rita are anti. As Truman is very openly pro-mining, we know that Riley is also pro as she works for Truman and seemed to be in agreeance with her in ep 4. This means that Sybilus (despite working for Silas) is actually anti-mining. Tbh I had a feeling this was the case given how closed off he was about whether he was pro or anti-mining in podcast ep 2. Plus because he works for the bank I was pretty sure he doesn’t exactly have much of a say in who his clients are.
Given how the election is going to be the next day (or next episode for us) I have a feeling that the werewolf shit is gonna ramp up real quick (especially since we only have 6 more episodes left). My guess is that the election is going to be interrupted by an attack, cutting the election short and forcing them to extend it/deal with the whole werewolf situation. If it doesn’t get cut short then, as sad as I am to say it, I think Truman is gonna end up winning the election. Afterwards the story, rather than focus on the election, will follow how the town responds to the werewolf threats.
Speaking of the werewolf threats, I’m finding it interesting that the wolves are only targeting anti-miners. If we assume that the wolves want Truman to win and that everyone has been genuine so far on their standings, we can assume that the wolves would be pro-mining. That means Agnes, Barney, Donny, the Irons, Jeremiah (presumably), and Riley could be the wolves. Ik Silas is pro-mining but I’ve already explained why I don’t think he’s is a wolf. The rest on the otherhand, have managed to officially move themselves more into my radar. This also means that we can effectively rule out anyone who’s anti-mining as werewolves, aka: Aubrey, Desmond, Helen, Madison, Rita, and Sybilus (again, unless they lied about being anti-mining but Ik 100% that Aubrey, Rita, and Sybilus would have to actually be anti since the council was split on the whole drilling operation before the observer effect came into play). Additionally, the note about Truman never staying in a town for more than a year or two is suspicious to me. It’s possible she’s just an opportunistic leech jumping from town-to-town, city-to-city gaining political experience and power. But could it be something else too?
TL;DR: The council is 50-50 split on pro and anti-mining with Agnes, Cliff, and Riley being pro, and Aubrey, Rita, and Sybilus as anti. If there isn’t a werewolf attack that stops the election then Truman is, sadly, probably going to win and the story will then shift to fully focus on the wolves. Because the only people who have died were anti-mining, we can assume that the wolves want Truman to win. This also means that all anti-miners can (more or less) be ruled out as wolves. Truman only staying in towns for one or two years before yeeting is suspicious and is putting her on the edge of my werewolf radar.
Updated suspect list:
High-Tier: Riley
Mid-Tier: Agnes, Barney, Crispin, Donny, Henry, Odie, Olivia, Vern, the Walkers
Low-Tier: GPS, Jeremiah, Quinn, Truman, Wallis
Currently ruled out: Aubrey, Desmond, Helen, the Irons, Madison, the Mayor, Rita, Silas, Sybilus
*Note: suspect list only contains people who are alive and in Connor Creek
Also, can I just say, I find it interesting that in the podcast we see Paul and Artemis at their most professional while in the show we get to see the real, genuine, Paul and Artemis (when they’re not interviewing the townsfolk of course). And yet we see the town through a lens (or recording device) basically all the time because of the mere presence of Paul and Artemis. Maybe the only people we genuinely get to know are Desmond, Quinn, Dr. Henry (when he’s drinking/drunk), and Madison. Everyone else is putting on some sort of face/mask for the proverbial camera.

Yoshiko as a wolf? Yes plss
-Wolfshiko is a mechanic, she works on cars and various technological stuff. She lives in a small town by the city.
-She's known by her coworkers as "Alpha" mainly due to her domineering and intimidating presence (as well as the fact that she is a alpha werewolf)
-Shes a bit of a player, not hesitating to use her looks to snatch a girl to toy with
-her fangs are very sharp, whereas most wolves' fangs shift into normal human teeth when they shift, hers only get small enough to fit into a human mouth.
-Her shifted form is very large, (werewolves stand on their hind legs mostly, but will run on all fours) standing at a mighty 6'2 tall. A big contrast to her human height, 5'2.
-Most times, werewolves show great disdain for vampires, Yoshiko on the otherhand, finds them quite attractive. Especially pure blood ones with red hair and yellow eyes (pure blooded vampires eyes' don't turn red after drinking blood in this world.)

An Unconventional Fam (Pt. 10)
Part 9
Ao3
Buy me a kofi<3
A/N: This chapter takes place after chapter 7 for V and Dax, and chapter 9 for Roman and Remy. Enjoy!
Summary: V and Dax make their way to the only place where they truly feel safe, a secret hideout in the forest. They have a surprising encounter with a particular werewolf.
Warnings: implied past child abuse (not detailed), slight blood mention, traps, demons, possession, food mention, lightning/thunder, wolves.
The demon and his human, or perhaps the human and his demon, were finally calming down after they were almost caught stealing from a cookie jar earlier that morning.
It was now mid-afternoon and they had managed to get a free bus ride at Dax’s insistence.
V grumbled, “We shouldn’t be out in public like this.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, we can’t possibly walk all the way to the forest and make it there by nightfall. You said you wanted to get to your secret stash and listen to some music to calm down a bit, that is precisely what we’re doing.”
“We should’ve just headed back to our current hideout. This is too much traveling,” V anxiously peered around the bus at the strangers surrounding them.
The demon sighed, “You drew a picture of the demon witch on the walls. It seemed like bad luck to stay. Besides, we would be like sitting ducks if we remained there.”
He decided not to argue with the demon’s judgement, even if it had been primarily motivated by a craving for chocolate, it had solid rationale behind it.
They passed many busy stores and restaurants, now open and very much alive with customers. The leaf strewn sidewalks were teeming with people in a hurry to be somewhere. Dax and V stared longingly out the bus window, watching fragments of another life pass them by. Families walked together outside, children splashing in puddles and jumping in piles of fiery-hued leaves. V wanted to turn away from them and, instead, think like a brave and well-put-together adult, but he couldn’t. He was nothing more than a now twelve-year-old boy, not even close to fully grown. Dax, on the otherhand, was bewildered by such dreadfully heartwarming scenes; they simply didn’t understand such things. They were curious about what constituted as normal in human families, neither of them ever having much experience with such a concept.
It must have been hours before they were outside of town, but they were too busy daydreaming to be worried about the passing of time. The bus’s final stop was at an old gas station that was about an hour’s walk away from their special hiding place. V made sure to sit next to a large group of people despite his nagging uneasiness. They needed to remain as inconspicuous as possible after all.
As soon as the bus came to a stop at its final destination, they made their way to the doors, following closely behind the few people that were left.
“Hey, V. I’m feeling snackish. Do you feel like going for them chocolate chip cookies?”
Dax could feel V rolling his eyes at him, “Considering you ate one before I was awake and that I didn’t get to fully enjoy it the first time….yes.”
The demon sheepishly smiled, “I had to taste test them first to make sure they were suitable for the birthday boy.”
“Please don’t call me that.”
They walked in comfortable silence for a while, chewing on the delectable chocolate chip cookies and enjoying the crisp autumn air. They were breathing easier now that they were far away from prying eyes and now that the threat of the demon witch was temporarily pushed out of their minds. Something about the flavorful treats made V optimistic in a way he hadn’t felt in a long time, he vaguely wondered if they were getting a sugar high from said sweets. His heart sank slightly at the thought of never being able to go back to the diner for more cookies, not after being seen.
Pushing the image of the concerned man from earlier out of their minds, they continued forward through the undergrowth of the forest. It had been a month or two since they had come back to their little wooded hideaway; they tried not to go back and forth too often because it was easier to remain in town where they could go to various stores for the everyday essentials.
Getting to the hideout from here was not a problem, they had made sure of it by creating a magical path that only they could see.
When Dax had agreed to help V run away from the demon witch, Stella, they had managed to snag a few potions and elixirs on their way out. Even though V struggled with the writing on the bottles, most of them were accompanied by symbols that he had been around all his life so he had some idea what they were used for. Mendacius, on the other hand, was more certain of the properties of each bottle since he was rather fluent in reading Latin and old runes. Together, they used a bright blue potion labelled Ignis Fatuus, which Dax knew would light a path leading to their desired destination. Only those who had unbottled the potion under a full moon and watched each drop of liquid seep into the earth were able to see Ignis Fatuus (which the demon had informed V was better known as Will-o’-the-wisp, a type of faerie magic that could only be used in this way when captured).
The shade of the trees provided enough low light to better see the magic bright blue flames that lined the forest floor. It wasn’t long before they came upon a tree with a hidden hollowed out inside. They pressed down on a large tree knot as if it were a button, a stairway within the trunk revealing itself step by step.
Cautiously looking over his shoulder, V ascended the stairway until they were safely inside their secret treehouse.
The house was, of course, only the size of a small room, but inside it contained all of V and Dax’s most treasured belongings. Among art and photographs, a string of purple and yellow star-shaped fairy lights were strung along the wall, lighting up now that they were fully inside the room. Strewn about the walls were many of V’s paintings and sketches; he had tried to hang only those that reminded him of something good and comforting. Most of them were a likeness of the forest, some were depictions of Dax, and there were a few that V had let Dax help him draw….those ones were usually pictures of chocolate bars and cookies. V shook his head at the thought and smirked, what a weirdo.
“Hey,” Dax protested, “I heard that.”
V just grinned and carried on admiring the contents of their hideaway treehouse. Of course the demon had other interests besides chocolate, such interests were depicted in photographs they had taken of shops and nature and unaware passersby. Mendacius had taken a strong liking to photography because of the way he could capture special moments on earth. He often hoped that the photos would withstand the tests of time so that he could always remember the best of everything long after this life and the next.
Among little dark wooden shelves, were stacks upon stacks of CDs, batteries, and music boxes of all kinds. Right beside the dark oakwood shelving, there rested a sturdy wooden trunk with silver runic symbols etched all along the sides; this was where all the potions were safely kept under lock and key. Not in any need of magical concoctions at this point in time, they glanced at the neatly-made and soft-looking bed that sat in the lefthand corner of the room, its soft purple blankets and an ebony plush bunny by the name of Mrs. Fluffybottom were a welcome sight for sore eyes.
Without a second thought, they jumped on the mattress, wrapping the soft blanket around themselves and letting out a sigh of relief. Nothing felt safer than their treehouse retreat. For about the millionth time, V and Dax thanked whatever forces were in their favor for the Arbor Domus potion or, put more simply, the Grow a Home potion. All they had needed was a drop of the green liquid and an oak tree seed. After that, everything else was provided by Mendacius and his cunning thievery, something that V wasn’t exactly proud of.
Pushing those thoughts from his mind, V chanced a glance out of a small circular window near the bed, noticing the rays of sunlight fading through the trees. His birthday would be over soon enough, all they had to do was lay low here and let the rest of the day pass.
“Sleep now, V. You didn’t get enough rest earlier,” Dax urged him to lay back down and get comfortable.
V chewed at his nails, “I’m not sure if that’s such a good idea.”
“Nobody can find us here. And I’m not moving us anywhere, I promise,” Dax reassured him. “We’re safe.”
Nodding slightly, V relented and let their head softly hit the pillow as he tucked themselves snuggly within the blanket covers. After grabbing the plush bunny for extra security, it only took a moment for the normally anxious boy to feel safe enough to snooze.
Dax meant to stay awake to watch over V, but the demon felt his own spirit getting drowsy. In what seemed like no time at all, both souls were comfortably curled up and sleeping soundly, the soft glow of fairy lights providing them with dreams unburdened by darkness or evil witches of any kind.
They were abruptly awoken by the sound of a wild animal deeply howling. V bolted up so quick that they nearly got whiplash.
Crankily, Dax rubbed at their eyes, “Calm down, V. It’s probably just the wind.”
“That is most definitely not the wind. That was a wolf.”
The demon sighed, “So what? The creature can’t get us from here, this place is cloaked by magic.”
“Oh,” V clutched their rabbit plushie a little closer to himself, comforted by its presence. “I suppose you’re right. It just startled me is all; it sounds awfully close.”
They were silent for a moment, straining their ears to listen. There was the unmistakable pitter-patter of raindrops hitting the roof. Minutes passed before they heard the howl again, this time it was much closer.
Trying not to feel nervous, they peered out the window and into the forest down below. The eerie glow of the full moon was shadowed by a great deal of cloud cover, yet it cast just enough light for them to see the russet-hued wolf that stood at the base of their tree. It was simply staring into the sky, seemingly entranced. It let loose another hauntingly drawn-out howl.
Not wanting to alert the wolf to their presence, even if they were hidden by magic, V opted for speaking to Dax telepathically rather than out loud. “What kind of wolf is that? It’s kinda orange, almost tri-colored like a timber wolf.”
“That’s not a normal wolf. It’s much too big and definitely not native to these parts.”
“A werewolf?” V’s eyes widened, “Is it--? No, it can’t be.”
Dax only nodded, he could see the glow of a human-like aura intertwined with that of a wolf-like one. The demon sent the image over to V’s mind as they watched the wolf below them dash away into the darkness and out of sight.
“Well, he’s gone now. Not much to worry abo--”
A piercing cry echoed across the expanse of trees followed by a series of yelps and whimpers.
V and Dax stood stock still in stunned silence, they were both wondering what in the world had just happened to elicit such a spine-chilling sound from their wolfy acquaintance. The shrill whimpering continued and V finally found the will to speak, “M--maybe we should go see what’s wrong. I mean, it sounds like he’s hurt.”
“Oh really now, the big bad wolf should be able to take care of himself,” Dax rolled their eyes, “Besides, I thought that you wanted to stay in tonight and avoid any and all trouble.”
A long and heart-wrenching whine could be heard throughout their area of the woods.
“C’mon. You know we can’t just stay here and do nothing while he’s hurting out there.”
Dax threw their arms up in the air in exasperation, “Fine, we’ll go out and help! But only because I can’t stand his incessant whining. Don’t blame me when your fear of dogs is worsened because wolfy over there decides that we’d make a good chew toy.”
Well aware that they were planning on helping an unpredictable wild animal, which was stronger and bigger due to its magical qualities, they decided they should equip themselves with a little magic of their own.
V took off the collar that his bunny, Mrs Fluffybottom, wore around its neck. Hooked onto the neckband, like a bell, was a silver and black key.
Determined, V took the key over to the chest and fit it into the heavy padlock. Something clicked and they carefully lifted the heavy lid until it rested against the wall. Dax and V stared at the various vials of liquid enchantments set before them. The demon retrieved a tiny bottle of what looked almost blood-like in color. As he touched the glass, ancient runes briefly revealed themselves and Dax nodded with certainty.
“This is the one we need,” their eyes skimmed the rest of the pile, “Unfortunately, there are not any cloaking potions in here. Looks like we’re on our own.”
V shrugged their shoulders, “We usually are.”
Before they could lose that sliver of bravery pulsing inside of them, they pocketed the healing potion and shut the chest, locking it up once more and returning the key back to its rightful place. Smiling softly, V patted the dark bunny’s head and thanked it for guarding the key. Mrs. Fluffybottom could only stare back at them with mismatched purple button eyes of course, but that didn’t matter much to V.
V pulled their hood up over their ears, mindful of the wind and drizzle that was going on outside. Then they hurried down the staircase and out the entrance of the hollowed out tree, the steps vanishing from sight behind them.
Once outside, they made sure to creep silently, moving deftly through twigs, crunchy leaves, and undergrowth. The rainfall made it a lot simpler to walk undetected towards the high-pitched yowling, which seemed to be getting even louder. Dax and V rounded a tree and abruptly stopped, tiptoeing backwards in order to remain out of sight.
Lying on the forest floor in a small pool of blood was the wolf, his hind leg caught in the heavy metallic jaws of a beartrap.
“Great, what’s the plan now? We can’t heal him without freeing him first.”
V eyed the wolf warily, “I dunno, I was hoping it was a simple injury. Why does it always have to be beartraps?”
“I guess werewolves don’t have many other weaknesses.”
“Well,” V bit his lip in thought, “if we’re gonna do this, I’m gonna need your help as much as possible.”
“We could wait until he turns human again, couldn’t we?” Dax suggested.
“No, he’s bleeding out. It’s too long of a wait until sunrise….”
Without a second thought, they stepped out from behind the tree.
The wolf’s head turned and the whimpering turned into low guttural growls as the creature finally realized he was no longer alone.
V hesitated, slowly edging closer to the wolf. He extended a hand toward the creature in what he hoped was a placating gesture.
“H--hey, buddy. Remember us? I know we got off to a bad start, but we returned the book and even left a note. We’re cool, right? You wouldn't dream of tackling us a second time, right?” V lightly chuckled, his voice shaky and whispery.
The tawny wolf tilted his head in confusion and the growls softened for a moment, however, his ears remained as alert as ever. He fixed his eyes on the other and V stilled in their tracks, mesmerized as the wolf’s irises flashed from gold to brown for a fleeting moment; it had happened so fast that they weren’t even sure they had seen it correctly.
Because it was what seemed like the logical response at the time, they let their eyes flash a deep ebony before letting the color settle back into V’s usual hazel.
The wolf cautiously bowed his head to them, his tail lowered.
They took this as a sign that it was okay to approach. Dax and V attentively knelt down next to the silver trap, the light of the moon glinting off of it ever so slightly. V let the demon take control as they worked to pull the metallic jaws apart, careful not to touch the sharp teeth of the contraption. Sweat was beginning to form on their brow as they pried at the trap for several long minutes, the metal was slick from the rain and their hands kept slipping. Grunting from the extended exertion, the demon used as much strength as he could muster and V helped as much as he possibly could. The beartrap finally began to budge ever so slightly. With what sounded a lot like a battle cry, the hinges were creaked back just enough for the werewolf to free his paw. As soon as they noticed he was free, they let go of the trap and it snapped shut, just narrowly missing their fingers as they fell backward onto the damp forest floor.
Sighing with relief, they tiredly retrieved the healing elixir from their pocket and managed a faint smile at the wolf next to them. They uncorked the bottle and let the tiniest drop of red liquid fall upon the creature’s injured paw. Within seconds, the potion started to work its magic repairing the wound until the paw looked as good as new. No scars remained.
The wolf stared at his paw and twirled around in circles as if disbelieving, then he peered up at them, his irises as golden as ever.
V felt a shiver run up his spine and he turned to look over his right shoulder. Mendacius was taking form beside him. It appeared to be the devil’s hour once again.
There was a sudden flash in the sky and a resounding clap of thunder. The werewolf snarled.
They were still on the ground and out of breath. Both of them knew that if they were to run, the creature would catch up.
The wolf crept forward, sniffing the air.
“M--maybe if we don’t make any sudden movements, he won’t attack?” Dax said hopefully, he was suddenly very aware that his physical form was now solidified enough to be maimed.
V managed to nod once, his wide eyes still glued to the threat before them.
Nose still twitching, the werewolf backed away from them a few steps. Then the creature lunged, knocking them both backward with his huge paws.
V’s eyes were shut tightly, his breathing erratic and strained. He was absolutely certain that this was the end, but then he felt something wet and slobbery tickle his nose and his eyelids fluttered open only to be greeted by the view of the dog's tongue darting out to lick his cheek. The wolf turned to Dax to do the same.
“Ugh, gross! This is the last time I help a werewolf!” the demon complained.
They were licked excitedly by the wolf about three or four more times before he happily bounded away further into the woods, his tail wagging behind him. The duo remained on the now muddy ground, they were absolutely rain-soaked, but the utter exhaustion from all that they had gone through kept them rooted to the spot for a little while longer. It was quite a lot to process.

First d&d session is complete
Guys, holy shit. D&D is so fucking fun. We only had 3 people show up due to conflicting schedules, but we pressed on anyway and bud, let me tell you we went for 6 damn hours and it didn’t feel like it at all. Gonna put the rundown under a read more because it’s a decent chunk and I’m tired.
The npc guide finds me in shackled in prison and says they’re looking for people who want to help and protect others, Eridol immediately insults him before pointing to his holy symbol and mentions anything is better than staying in jail again. So they go off and end up bickering outside a church because the guide is being a cryptic bastard and Eridol is both amused and annoyed at the lack of straight answers. The NPC who Eridol now knows is named Core wanders into the church looking for another player character who we find. He’s a charasmatic fuck of a dragonborn paladin called Draccus who joins us only after he gets up us for loitering outside the church (Bitch, it’s my church too. Calm thy scaly tits). We all then go off to get a horse each and travel into the forest to find our last member of this merry band, a hobgoblin fighter called Olgum/Olgrum depending on who you talk to who had been living out in the forests for like 40 years … he’s basically hobgoblin Danny Trejo and sounds like Dr Claw from Inspector Gadget.
After a heartfelt speech from Core of “If you come with us, you can kill lots of things” we wander back to the horses. Simple math check, we only have three horses. As soon as we get there Core and Draccus both jump on and start riding away, as Eridol is standing there really thinking about how this hobgoblin said he wanted to eat him he mentions that he’ll just walk … only to be picked up by the scruff of the shirt and put neck deep in a drawstring food bag that was on the horse. Eridol was not exactly pleased with this but it works. After about an hours ride we come up to the first quest npc, big stocky dude called Heinrik, who runs a carriage company running stock between towns but has recently suffered attacks while travelling in the forests. We take off with his carriage, Eridol thankfully riding shotgun and not in the food sack anymore before stopping for the night about a third of the way through the forest.
Olgum gets the scent of a boar from earlier and wanders off to hunt it, he follows the scent to a stream and decides to cross it and finds a dark mound moving slightly, mostly obscured by the shadows. After about 20 minutes of him being gone Eridol and Draccus (Who at this point, Eridol is just calling Drac … much to his dismay) decide they should go and find him, they follow him to the stream and because Eridol is the only one with dark vision, he’s the only one that can see that yeah the boar is there, but so are the 2 wolves eating it. Eridol tells Drac before yelling for Olgum and nearly murdering one of the wolves with a sacred flame. The light from the attack is enough for Olgum to get his bearings before screaming “He’s mine”. In that moment the non singed wolf took him down to 2 hp with a single attack because we’re all squishy babies. Drac seriously considers tossing Eridol across the river because it’d be above my head but reconsiders and crosses the waist deep water for him and throws a javelin at the injured wolf … and spit roasts it straight through the back of the mouth as it was lunging for Olgum. Olgum just straight up decapitates the other wolf in one swing before Eridol casts a healing word on him and we take the boar and wolves back to camp. Drac skins the wolves and the hulking hobgoblin that Eridol is just calling Olga now is expertly butchering this pig. like damn it is a work of art. Once he’s done he throws both Drac and Eridol a boar leg each. Drac being a shit uses his flame breathe to sear it and digs in. Eridol goes and grabs some spices and rolls a fucking nat 20 on the cooking check to make the best roast ever before he hacks the best part of and gives it to Olga just as an acknowledgement that this meat based friendship was going amazingly
So we wake up and continue on our way, Olga and Core riding up front, myself riding shotgun with Heinrik and Drac on rear guide. I see a blur of red sitter past in the bushes and inform Heinrik who gets his crossbow and I ready my hammer and shield.Olga hears goblinspeak in the bushes before 2 rocks come whizzing at us, one pings off my shield and the other clocks Core right in the back of the head. While he’s dazed, Olga whips a hatchet through a kobold’s head and runs off to melee with a goblin, I cast shield of faith on Heinrik because that seems like a good idea before jumping down and running towards another kobold. Core shoots off a pretty limp ray of frost at one of them. This giant fuck of an orc runs out, takes a heavy crossbow bolt from Heinrik, Slashes the fuck out of Heinrik before seeing Drac and taking a bonus action to run to him. It’s at this point Drac notices what the fuck is happening  because he got a nat 1 on a perception check and then a 2 for initiative. Drac dismounts his horse and disarms the orc  … he literally sliced one of his fucking arms off mid swing and it just goes sailing into the forest before the orc passes out from shock. The kobold near me sees this and tries to nope the fuck out and I crack his skull open as a reaction before casting healing word on Heinrik because he was fuuuuuucked up. Olga decapitates the currently sole goblin as it was on it’s knees begging for mercy.
Now the combats over, we see Core running to give the orc a potion because Heinrik wanted him alive. Eridol gets there first and casts spare the dying while we rope up and shackle the orc before we throw a potion down his throat. At this point Eridol wanders off to find his shield and the orc arm but Heinrik grills this dude for info about his missing supplies and daughter. The orc laughs before mentioning they were going to rape the daughter and she would birth a fine litter of babies for them … at which point Heinrik got angry and the orc lost his head. Eridol is just in the background carrying this orc arm that is bigger than he is, looking at all the tattoos and decides he really wants to keep one of them so he flays the skin to get this really ornate pirate ship tattoo off the arm, before moving the Orc’s body off the road and getting back on the wagon. Olga, Drac and Eridol are just covered in blood and gore from the fight and sa they make it to the outside of the town that currently doesn’t have a name a very fresh faced guard in the militia sees us and asks for the gate to be opened. Once it’s been opened he stands at attention, mostly for Core and also because Eridol has his rank insignia on his armor. Eridol fiddles with the orc arm that he’s been carrying this whole time and uses it to salute the two guards, one of which just loses is and starts throwing up, which causes the other one to see what’s going on and starts dryretching as well. Good times.
We get inside and all kind of wander off while Core goes and does his governmental duties. Drac immediately goes to church and prays and talks to the abbot about a map he found and is directed to an in called the Golden Ales. Eridol goes and finds a tanner and is pointed towards the creepiest motherfucker you could ever see. I’m talking if someone took Serverus snape and just stretched him vertically. On top of this fucker instantly knowing that I was giving him orc skin, I swear he orgasmed a bit when I told him I had “an armful” more skin. Eridol probably just made a deal with fantasy buffalo bill to occassionally drop off strange and exotic skins … but hey, that’s a thing. I then made my way to the church and prayed to my god for the not exactly friendly deaths before leaving with Drac to go find the tavern.
Olga on the otherhand finds the tavern on his own and almost starts a fucking brawl with the owner because he asked for the most expensive booze there, didn’t pay and then threatened everyone in the bar … which caused the owner to bring out his goliath cook/lover who Olga then called a pet which escalated things even further. This is where Drac and I find the place, walk in talking about how cool it was when Drac de-armed that guy to complete silence and 8 shock collared orcs about to jump Olga. Eridol walks straight next to Olga and buys a drink for Olga and himself which cost most of his gold but seemed to deescalate the situation. Drac being all goody too shoes doesn’t like the look of the collars and immediately tried to free one of the orcs before getting zapped and warned by the owner that the collars are there for a reason and if you remove it, it’ll be bad for you for worse for the orc … who would die. Drac comes and joins us at the bar and he and the owner have a tense conversation about freedom and rights before the owner takes a liking to him for his resolve and goes to get some fancy booze. Eridol takes the time to jokingly call the goliath who we now know is called Juriel “tiny” and Juriel takes that as Eridol is insulting his manhood. the owner comes back and pours this fancy booze for everyone and we talk and drink for a while before someone orders some meat, at which Juriel lights up and goes back to the kitchen for 20 minutes before coming back with a raw venison steak for Olga, a nicely cooked steak for Drac and 2 roast chickens, a full side of potatoes and roast vegetables for Eridol. Eridol immediately lights up because holy shit this is the best looking chicken he’s ever seen and just really trying to make the goliath feel good.
Then guess who takes a great big bite and rolls a fucking nat 1 on a constitution save. Eridol goes pale as a sheet and is retching while he eats some of the chicken. All the while just professing to Juriel how it’s so good and he should be proud. So everyone keeps drinking and we get the information we need before retiring back to the rooms. Olga gets a room to himself, Eridol is fast asleep on a childs cot in Drac’s room before Drac gets tired of the frankly loud snoring and pungent smell from Eridol who is still absolutely covered in blood and gore and pushes Eridols cot out into the hallway, who at some point ends up underneath it with a leg sticking up out of one of the holes.
