the only 'negative opinion' i have abt dunmeshi anime so far is abt like color choices/palettes just not being the bestest but thats something i actually think is also not a strong suite of dungeon meshi The Manga, its always been something ive been disappointed by when i see something colored and im like damn thats kinda basic to me sorry :( but color choices in stories dont need to speak to me personally i dont care. i can go watch promare. i do expect the color usage might become a little better as the story progresses in the anime but again like i dont know if ppl have just .. not noticed that this criticism of the anime also applies to the source material

Forget the coliseums Elden Ring needs to patch in a room at the roundtable specifically for taking screenshots of your character with decent lighting that doesn't weirdly obscure face details

#the thing about trying to use a torch or the lamp is #red/orange/yellow light seems to completely flatten the character's face and removes details. And it makes the face look like shit. Idk why #extremely bright white light will do this as well. #I get in some ways this is realism. You put too bright a light on someone's face it doesn't look right. #but I'm playing a fucking video game and there's a day night system and the sun is never in the same place and I have to keep teleporting #To Leyndell then back to roundtable then back to leyndell and it's slightly later and the sun has moved and the photos don't look the same #also the lighting does not and should not be that fucking bad at the roundtable #lighting is overly bad in a lot of places #me vs elden ring #like I don't think I should have a problem seeing things in some boss rooms if I forgot to turn on my little lantern #bloodborne was good at this! The lantern did not give off that much light #the coloring/obscuring wasn't that bad! selfies with torches looked fine #darkness wasn't *that* bad either! You want a torch but it's never quite pitch black without it #I have the goddamn brightness on max here which I never do with video games and nothing ever looks right #and I make dark ass dark skinned can barely see them characters all the time #sound mixing is really weird too #I wonder if it's because I'm on ps4

I had yet another long, strenuous day yesterday and didn't finish work until super late and then I couldn't fall asleep until well past 2am cuz I was in so much pain from standing literally all day

#what made it worse was the client I spent most of my day with was a brand new client. and she booked super last minute #so I wasnt mentally prepared for doing a 5 hour color. and her natural hair was already pretty light so I had to foil foil foil. go back. #pull out first couple foils. foil foil foil. go back. pull out the next few. #over and over and over. #and her hair was so fucking long. and so fucking thick. #and after the first hour she wouldn't talk. like I like my silence so I don't fight it much #but every now and then I would try to engage with her. I'd say something and she would straight up ignore me. no acknowledgment. #which makes me feel anxious cuz it's like jesus... does she hate me?? did I piss her off somehow? #even when I finished her hair (it looked fucking amazing no lie. one of my best highlights yet.) she had next to no reaction to it #she was like 'it looks fine. I mean good. it's good.' completely deadpan #I laughed it off and was like yeah it's been a long day girl! but it looks amazinggg on you!! #no response. deep inhale. alright. #whatever tho. #when I did finally get off work I stopped @ bojangles cuz I was lightheaded and hadn't eaten since morning #and when I tell you I almost broke down into tears cuz there were so many people crowding the goddamn pickup area. #and so many bizarre conversations going on. genuinely felt like I was in some form of hell #like my feet hurt. my back hurts. I'm tired. I didn't get the validation I like to have over a 5 hour transformative color. #I'm hungry and there are two elderly women blocking the pickup counter. one is hard of hearing so she keeps yelling HUH??? #and the other only speaks in soft baby whispers. that goes as well as you can imagine. #there's a man behind me grilling an employee abt whether or not he goes to church. he starts witnessing to him #and the employee says 'I've never thought about it like that before' no less than 4 times. #there's a child in front of me playing tiktoks @ full volume. and this is all happening simultaneously. #I really considered just leaving without my food but I knew I needed to eat and didnt have anything at home so I stuck it out #was it worth it? no. bojangles honestly sucks these days but what's a girl gonna do. #got home and tried to pass out but nope. tossed and turned all night. #put on hot n cold patches to try to soothe the pain a little. didn't work cuz one pain would be eased a bit and another pain would take over #blahhhhhh #and now. I get to do it all over again! yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

ah yes I missed scratching my scalp and getting little bits of dye from recently dyeing my hair because I'm not the best at it and generally just really bad at getting shampoo and conditioner completely out of my hair

#I have been burnt out on both these games for months but I got jumpscared by this guy and I must say. What #first it was Skirk and… I forget her name. but?? #um. hello? #the fact that they’re in the same universe makes this weirder. youre suggesting a connection here #Im just forever annoyed that despite being 2 different games they have the exact same design philosophy #you could shove any character from either game into the other and they would fit #(okay you’d have to drop some of the fancy weaponry but Chevruse has a Gun.) #and that’s because the designs themselves are meant to look as appealing as possible with little room for storytelling #ESPECIALLY THE WOMEN #and it bothers me A Lot even if I can recognize the intent. this is their business model it’s.. it’s whatever fine #but this is just getting a lil silly methinks #‘it’s just hair’ their hair is the most distinguishing thing about them. their outfits are similar in nature and they share a color scheme #it doesn’t matter how different their personalities are or that they’re in different games because they were made by the same company #in a connected universe #one of which is the most popular characters in the game since she was first teased #without a clear timeline of which game came first if they aren’t happening concurrently and the connected between them unclear #we can’t really say what the connection between these two is #I don’t truly care that much I’m just endlessly baffled that this keeps happening #snack time #genshin impact #hsr
