Fellow dog people need to tell me how yall manage your time so you can get your dog to classes and events.

Hallow and I are repeating her nose work class here in a couple of weeks instead of advancing to the next one because some stuff cropped up with my family that I had to help them with and I ended up missing two class dates. I think the instructor probably would have let us move to the next class but I wasn’t comfortable doing that so here we are, repeating the class.

It’s one class one day a week and I still feel like it’s tough to commit to given that sometimes people in my life need my help and I might have to miss classes sometimes-How am I ever going to be able to commit to the more intensive schedule of different sports? Find time to travel for events and trials and stuff?

How do yall manage? Good boundaries with people?

So I've been thinking. It's funny how enjoying meta is somewhat embedded with trust.

Like, if you're "friends" and have followed a person for a long time, you have more a sense of their values, and it's easier to read their difficult meta because you trust more that they're being charitable/nuanced.

If you don't know them, it's harder to trust that they're not funneling difficult topics into rationalization of liking/supporting gross shit.

Thank you to the teachers who said I'd never make it in life. Your bitch ass attitude gave me the strength and spite to be great. You make minium wage at a job you clearly hate while I'm on my way to become an engineer at NASA. You're burdened with student debt while I graduated high school with honors and multiple full ride scholarships lined up. Thank you, because your disbelief fulled my belief.

Thank you to the teachers who never help me. Because you counted me as less than the other students, I became greater than. Because you claimed that I didn't need any help because I was a gifted student, I was forced to help myself. I learned how to trust myself because of you. Thank you, because your negligence turned into my self-sufficience.

And finally thank you to the teachers that were there when I needed you. You loved me and even broke rules when I needed you to. You saw me when no other teacher did, helped me when everyone else refused or deemed me a lost cause. You taught me the importance of being positive and the catharsis in allowing myself to be sad. You were a safe space when the world was still so new and dangerous. Because if you, the other teachers didn't matter.
