My main hobby is just procrastinating in any way I can. The plan was to make a cup of coffee and then start working. What actually happened is that I watched a 3 part video series (by james hoffmann ofc) on Aeropress coffee and made a few cups with different variables. Still not sure if I found The Recipe for me, but it’s getting better (tho I don’t love the coffee beans I have)

#altho i’m not sure I agree that inverted method is not worth the risks #maybe I just pour my water in too slow (bc I get nervous abt pouring too much) but there’s a fair bit of liquid that manages to get through #before I can place the vacuum on there #so I did it with inverted method #what I took from his recipe was the swirling instead of stirring and letting it rest for 30secs after to get a more even bed of coffee #I did 14g of coffee & 200g of water with a 5min brew -> swirl -> another 30seconds of letting it rest before pressing gentlyy for like 20-3 #seconds #but idk it’s a bit ’’one note’’ #which could be the beans #I have medium roast rn and I prefer light roast but the light roast beans have been no where to be found lately idk why #(there aren’t many actual light roast beans and the other ones are waay out of my budget) #(or at least good ones; there’s the one affordable light roast that’s everywhere but I don’t like it that much (but tbf should’ve still #bought that instead of these ones I got)) #like this is still way better than what the drip coffee of those beans are #and the achilles heel is that I don’t have a thermometer of any kind so my water temperature is guesswork every time #so tweaking variables is always a bit sketchy bc idk if I just had a better water temperature that time #studyblr #booklr #aesthetic #bookblr #books #study #reading #read #book #coffee #2023 #december 2023

Absolutely love that Sun gets over his trauma by babying the younger brother. In a sense its what they both need. To you and the anon who wanted something nice for Sun and Bean Eclipse interacting. Eclipse is far more comfortable being carried or held by Sun vs Moon actually. (altho like... in terms of who he'd rather be held by. Its KC, then Earth then Sun (Lunar is a contender only Sometimes). Never Monty. Moon is never perferred on this list but always over Monty.) Also just kinda... BY HEIGHT PREFERENCE LOL

Bloodmoon's arrival means i finally get to explore Bloodmoon and Sun bonding (This man jsut has trauma between these two where we settle it by Family Time because its obvious its needed and Sun admits this.) Also Bloodmoon being a bully and trying to steal attention and mess with Eclipse.

I have been wanting so desperately to write the past few days but a cold has my sinuses putting so much pressure on my head I feel like it’s going to explode, plus it’s school holidays and it’s been raining so I’ve got two very energetic kids with cabin fever running around causing mayhem 😅.

BUT! I did manage to write a little something for LA Lonely so yay (even though it may not be great, at least it’s words)

Buck is woken up by the shrill sound of a phone ringing. The bed jostles, Buck letting out an annoyed grumble as the warm body that is wrapped around him disappears. There is a kiss pressed to his naked shoulder, a whispered apology and then the rustling of the blankets as the person leaves the bed, answering the phone with a quiet hello.

Rolling over to check the time, Buck’s surprised to see that it’s almost 9. Usually his body clock wakes him up at 7am everyday, whether he stayed up late or not, so sleep-ins are a rare thing. He rolls onto his back, groaning as he stretches his arms up above his head. There’s a slight ache in his ass but it’s a reminder of the fantastic sex he had last night and honestly, Buck doesn’t mind the discomfort.

He hears footsteps on the stairs, the wood creaking slightly and then the most attractive man Buck has ever laid eyes on is standing at the foot of his bed wearing nothing but underwear and a soft apologetic smile that has Buck’s tummy swooping.

Eddie.

The man’s name is Eddie, Buck remembers. And remember he should because he was moaning it loud enough last night.

Eddie has a phone pressed between his ear and shoulder as he picks up his jeans and begins to awkwardly shimmy them up his legs. “I told you, I overslept. But I’m getting ready now and can be there in —” he looks down at his wrist and frowns, his eyes sweeping over the discarded clothes on the floor before zeroing in on Buck’s second nightstand where a clunky watch sits. Eddie grabs the watch, quickly checking the time before he begins strapping it on. “I can be there in 20 minutes, 15 if the traffic is good.”

Buck feels a pang in his chest and then instantly chastises himself. This was just another hookup, a one night stand —nothing more than that. He was foolish to think that what he felt last night with Eddie was anything real. It was just the hormones.

Eddie may have stayed, but that was probably because he was hoping to get lucky again this morning. Or like Buck, he slept in and didn’t get a chance to sneak out before Buck woke up.

I wish we got more moments of the Walkers being Family like. The opening of “Brave New World” where Hesh says he let Logan sleep a bit longer because he figured he could use the rest set the bar too high for the rest of the campaign. You don’t really get anything like that line again - there’s the “Sin City” and “The Ghost Killer” cutscenes as well but those are both high tension, ‘holy shit don’t hurt my brother/I am dying son but I’m proud of you’ lines. And honestly Hesh’s “All or Nothing” Rorke File where he talks about his misplaced guilt after losing Elias…it’s almost a bit weird that he doesn’t reference how Logan is handling it at all (especially considering he was the one manhandled into shooting their father).

I guess the first unlockable Rorke File where Elias talks about taking the boys to the beach counts, and Hesh’s “Logan’s got my back, and I got his. He’s my brother.” but it just feels a bit stilted compared to the natural tenderness of the “Brave New World” opening.

WHO do we all think the standalone episode this season is gonna be about. my bets (hopes) are on david or jo

*scratching at the walls thinking about how no one has adapted Peter’s college arcs in a consistent and satisfying way.*

#coffee bean gang #spider-man #I was almost asleep but now I’m thinking about how there isn’t one piece of media out there that checks all the boxes #of adapting Peter in college + the coffee bean gang + doesn’t downsize the group or combine characters #+ does everyone in a decent way even if it’s not strictly comic accurate #raimi trilogy is one of the only ones that heads pretty quickly into the college era and also involves more than just gwen or mj #and as much as I like the films it does not handle the three of them in a way that scratches the itch for me #I mean for one it’s only Peter Harry and MJ. I like those three arguably the most but man the dynamic isn’t the same #especially bc Tobey’s Peter is much more serious and quiet/awkward with negative charisma (affectionately but still.) #MJ is mixed w Gwen’s personality which was disappointing to me bc I like MJ’s weird and super vibrant personality #and Harry loses some of the ‘kind of a sweet guy but very VERY fucked up’ and relies too heavily on Harry becoming the goblin for revenge #I sound super critical of the Raimi versions qhwjrjwkr I DO like them I do but it feels like completely alternate interps of the characters #most focus on spider-man’s origin which I totally get but also. Peter’s most interesting arcs happen in college #that’s why everyone has to adapt them into the high school years #(which they can do bc Peter was largely friendless during that time and was still fighting some truly d-tier guys #in between the forming of the famous spidey rogue gallery) #I mean I wouldn’t even complain if they chose to do the high school years and actually DID those instead of pasting the college arcs on it #I haven’t watch the 90s show but I want to— does Harry exist in that one bc I know they took out Gwen #at the risk of sounding like That kind of tssm fan. the closest we got to that dream was that show #bc they WERE gonna follow it into Peter’s college years and you could see them setting the gang up #it still fell into the ‘everyone is a childhood friend’ thing so the characters could all be there but it’s one of the most bearable ones

I will never understand how some people hate all tea, which there are like a billion flavors of, but love coffee, which all has the same terrible taste no matter what

#i hate when people try to get me to drink coffee by being like try this one its mostly sugar you can't even taste the coffee #i literally can taste the coffee in things that are stored next to coffee beans for a prolonged period of time #several people have tested me by tricking me into drinking something with trace amounts of coffee and i can always taste it #and its fucking disgusting #i hate the smell also. when i worked at starbucks i had a terrible time. i couldnt even drink our smoothies bc the mix was stored w coffee #and i could taste it in the smoothie. everyone thought i was insane but once they gave me 2 samples of smoothie #one from a brand new mix and one that had been sitting with the coffee beans for a long time. and i knew which was which #without being told. and they finally believed me lmao #i will never forget this one time i accidentally switched mine and my friend's and drink (soda and iced coffee) #and took a huge sip of iced white chocolate mocha with caramel (i also dont like white chocolate and caramel!) #and almost threw up. i had to seriously fight to swallow it bc i knew if i spit it out in my friends car he'd fucking kill me #i was like well in case you were wondering i still hate coffee

So @lopuhkotermah made a post earlier today proposing the idea that General Jujube Cookie is Dark Choco’s other parent, and (as you may be able to tell) I find that idea very interesting. I don’t know a lot about Jujube but I do find the concept of two legendary warriors also being romantically involved a very interesting idea

So screw it, General Jujube x Dark Cacao. I think the ship should be called Jujucao. It just sounds fun

So I know realistically this probably wouldn’t be what happens, given that we know Dark Cacao is immortal and well over 1000, while I doubt Jujube is that old (though I don’t know if there’s any evidence one way or the other), and so likely they would have only met as adults, but I liked the idea of younger them meeting, back when they were just warriors, so screw the timeline

I would like to think their relationship was founded on their admiration for each other’s fighting prowess. You know like how Raphael and Mona Lisa’s relationship in TMNT 2012 is founded on their respect for each other as fighters and the fact they can kick each other’s butts? Yeah I’m thinking it’s something like that with these two

This scene here is probably in the middle of a battlefield (I just didn’t feel like drawing background/I don’t know how to draw that), with Jujube noticing that Dark Cacao (not sure if he’s traveling alone or with the other Ancients) is in need of assistance and going to help. Dark Cacao notices his fighting and is rather smitten. He does not know what to do about this as he has never felt this before. The difference in how Jujube is drawn is supposed to reflect what Dark Cacao is seeing in this moment

But yeah, new crackship, I kind of like it. Hope you guys enjoy too, and that perhaps this can be a thing in the fandom?

my one thing with sacred stones is that i feel that its kinda limited just by its hardware and the conventions of being a fire emblem game cuz like. just IMAGINE how horrifying it could get. imagine animated cutscenes of orson and emperor vigarde. imagine voice acting on lyon. and IMAGINE. here me out here. i think that valter should have kept fighting after you killed him.
