i usually keep my freak outs in the tags! rarely do i comment on the post directly in a reblog. i understand both sides though. for me, as a fic writer, i love feedback and reading someone’s thoughts. it doesn’t matter where they’re shared. this is the first time i’m hearing about accounts being blocked for this though. wow :o but valid. freedom to block whoever you want. i’m also not sure why i said reblogs specifically because sometimes i’ll make my own posts and end up talking to myself lol.

also, there’s definitely been a change with reblogging. it’s so evident and sad tbh. i’ve been on tumblr since 2014/15 and started writing fics in late 2016. however, i wrote for two other fandoms before discovering kpop, so i totally saw everything you said about interactions, discourse, huge accounts, relationships between mutuals etc, but in other spaces. it’s also interesting to read what you wrote about people heading to twitter. i’ve see the exact kind of posts you mentioned there, but i didn’t consider they might’ve left tumblr. the shift is also obvious when you see someone in your notifs who doesn’t have any reblogs. do you block those accounts? i never have, and idk if i should.

(that is another can of worms indeed. i used to be active on the shawn mendes side of tumblr (yikes lol🥴) and i remember feeling so intimidated by certain blogs. i feel that way a little bit now, but it’s no comparison to how it used to be)

please... don't even get me started on fics... i never posted my fics on tumblr (onyl links to them) but even on Ao3 it's pretty much dead... if i didn't love writing so much I would never waste a second of my life writing with the number of feedback ppl nowadays give to ff authors. which is very little. yeah... some blogs were really weird about it. believe it or not one time a blog vague posted about me because I had tagged someone under their post (it was fantaken pics) and then they went on and on about how tagging ppl under their post messed with their notes. they were so rude... I ended up blocking them. like nope. i do not want that energy on my dash idc how many followers u have. but yeah personally I don't think that's something anyone really has the right to be mad about. this is a free website and people are free to do whatever they want (so long as it doesn't include any female body parts ofc *clown emoji*) and even if it mildly annoys me I never get that heated up over it and I definitely don't block bc of it slflsd

yeah I remember how intimidating big accounts used to be... and it feels like a lifetime ago when u think about it... maybe some people just... idk, grew out of the phase? I don't want to believe that ppl who used tumblr for years would move to twitter. it makes no sense. there are definitely people who just found other interests and left and thats normal. what's not normal is those people not being replaced... this stuff usually happens in a cycle. some people leave and some more join but I don't see anyone new around here. seriously, do u know a stan account who is new? literally everyone I know here has been here since I joined this fandom if not earlier.

edit: I forgot to answer to this one!!! abt empty blogs, I don’t usually check the blogs in my notes unless they look really sketcy (/are obv a p08n bot) but ive definitely seen blogs that are completely empty and even have the default icon and stuff. i usually leave them along and give them the benefit of the doubt. maybe they’re fans who don’t want to be active and post stuff and just want to consume and keep up with their faves.

i also have a side hobby of gaming! i wouldn't necessarily call myself a gamer since i don't play that many games. you'll usually find me on minecraft, the sims 4, roblox, or destiny 2! i also occasionally will play fortnite with friends (i'm just not good at pvp games so i tend to not play them that much; UNLESS it's arsenal on roblox. i kick ass lowkey in that game.)

Happy New Years all!

With a new year, comes new changes to the blog. As you may have seen in the past few months, we have been trying to be more active on the blog. You all may have seen we added new content creators to our blog, not only to give more content to everyone but also to help our blog stay alive and expand. In 2019, we only had 3 admins on the blog and we were all busy with school, work, or just life in general. However, Admin Ale and I have recently gotten together and decided to make the blog alive again. TOP 12 SONGS OF 2017

I know it’s been so long since you tagged me, @yoongtechnology , but I finally managed to do it! Tbh it was really hard, since I constantly thought “ok THIS was an absolute bop” but then realized the song was actually from 2016 (and I wanted to keep the list filled with songs form 2017 alone)

1: AOA - Bing Bing people who know me from my other main blog and my old music blog may know that I screamed about this song for 6 months straight. 2017 just had started and AOA already DID THAT. It’s so sad though it flopped because of some half-assed scandals (and because Excuse me had the more cute.sexy concept which most people liked more) 2: BTS - Spring Day me: it's been a whole year now, I am over spring day namjoon: bogoshipda me: *immediately starts crying*   The Queen. The legend. Self explanatory. What more do I need to say other than Song of The Year indeed?

3: GFriend - Fingertip I was SO SHOOK when GFriend returned with a girl crush concept! I also like their more innocent, girly style, but Fingertip fed us fangirls so well. Also it shows that my queens truly can do any concept, especiialy more mature ones.

4: VIXX - Shangri La This song was powerful enough to make me think about finally starting to look more into boy groups (I was a girlgroup stan only before VIXX). I wouldn’t be into BTS if VIXX didn’t show me the (star)light. The mv? The most aesthetically pleasing thing I will ever lay my eyes on. The fan opening sound in any live stage? ASMR. Legends only.

5: Red Velvet - Red Flavor The best summer bop I have ever heard. Red Velvet are vocal queens indeed an listening to Red Flavor ALWAYS makes me happy. Also RV are the group that got me into kpop, so I will forever be thankful for them ♥ 6: Gfriend – Rainbow Probably the best non-titel track they have. I love Rainbow so so so much, I was so glad they finally did a choreo for it at their concert (that’s what I linked)! When I saw it the first time I literally cried because I was so emotional. 7: BTS – Mic Drop There are so many reasons Mic Drop is legendary: The choreo. The line distribution. The sheer amount of sass and diss. But also I will never ever ever get over how K I M  S E O K J I N sounds in this. Seriously his voice is so unreal and I am living for his parts in this. Also weirdly enough this song made me reflect about myself a lot... Like how can I jam to a song that I can’t relate to? Do I have anything to be proud of, anything that I have accomplished that people thought I couldn’t? Hell yeah I did, but I didn’t realize it yet, thanks Bangtan for that. 8: Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku - Nanairo [death mention warning] Those girls deserve all the love in the world. Between all those Japanese idol groups I never really could get into, suddenly Ebichuu happened. They have so many beautiful, positive songs (like te wo tsunagou). Nanairo is really bittersweet though... but I just can’t stress enough how much respect I have for them. They decided to go through with this comeback for Rinan-chan, just months after her death. It’s been planned with her and to do it with her missing but have been the hardest thing they did... (It’s been a year now Rinan... I still miss you so much angel) 9: Band-Maid - Daydreaming As a girls only rock group, Band-Maid really have it hard. Metal/Rock fans are unforgiving, especially when it comes to female musicians, sadly. So seeing them get out one bop after another, a world tour, a new album, all of this makes me really happy. Band.Maid are one of those groups I stumbled upon on accident and I couldn’t be more happy. 10: FEMM – Do it again feat. Liz LISTEN IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE FAR EAST MENTION MANNEQUINS YOU ARE MISSING OUT SOMETHING OUT. FEMM are one of the first groups I was really active as a fan for, promoting them on twitter and everything. They do a lot for their fans, like making physical album copies available although they didn’t want it to do at first. Also they took down two of their most famous videos just to change one (1) word in each of those songs because it could have been considered ableist and reuploaded them. Queens only.  On their latest album they did covers of 80s and 90s japanese pop music and it was INSANE. They are literally acting as if they were mannequins who gained a soul and are fighting oppression of dolls/mannequins (aka women) and all of their songs go HARD. “Do it again” is a more tuned down song for them. Also who does a music video for ALL of their songs from an album? Queens only.  11: Xandria - Call of Destiny Ok we are going to metal territory now. I really love to listen to Xandria when my goth self is coming through. Although Call of Destiny is not my fav song of them, the mv is SO GOOD. Just wait for it. They did everything right with that (and their low budget considered). Female, non sexualized knights? I am all in for that (and I am gay for Dianne van Giersbergen and her voice anyways) 12: Arch Enemy – The World Is Yours Oh look, another metal singer I am gay for. Alissa got so many hate for this song and their newest album that I am very defensive about them. Let her write her empowering metal songs ffs. The Worls Is Yours was just a giant shock from beginning to end and I love it, whatever entitled metal fanboys say.

honorable mention: my fav group, a German gothic novel rock band called ASP also released a new album (called “zutiefst...”) in 2017 which is one of the best things I heard in my entire life (ok I say this about any of their albums honestly), but there is almost no content of it available online... I am a huge fan since over 10 years now and their music was with me always and also their lyrics are just INGENIUS. Sadly most of their songs are in German and very hard to translate, so they don’t have a lot of fans outside of Germany. Also they have like zero budget for music videos or other expensive things like this. Their newest album is a whole masterpiece, so I could never chose one song since I think you have to listen to the whole thing entirely. But still, I am always here to promote my boys, so have a link to their latest video I guess. Also they have a few songs on spotify (like 30 out of over 150... they don’t like to promote online and I am mad at this)
