     "Ask me if I care?" It was Ben's way of saying he didn't care, but it seemed he wasn't going to win this at all. "Dean!" The younger male whined, actually sitting up with a look that could only be described as frustration "You suck."

The Strange Case of Dean and Castiel.

                     They had not met for too long, in the lives they had, one year was not enough to say you knew the person you worked with, especially with the unconventional, troubled and long days that occupied their everydayness. Their friendship was rare, they watched each other’s back but other than that, Castiel was not the chatty type and apparently Dean wasn’t, unless one of them were in danger, there would be words and screams all over the place.

                     Everything started when Castiel was working on a case of vampires; he’d made sure to get everything right except he did not count with a vampire that came out of nowhere when he was dealing with the others, he knew it was over at that moment, he could see the faces of the people he had saved and the heads of the creatures he had killed before. But those flashbacks immediately cut off when he heard a loud noise when the vampire’s head hit the ground, a splash of blood falling onto Cas’ clothes and he turned around to look at a man who was holding a blade with a serious expression, a daredevil one.  Hunter, Castiel immediately thought, he was aware of the existence of more of his kind but never really had came across with one except that time someone else was working on the same case. 

                   Not a single word was said after Dean saved Cas’ life, they just finished the job and by the time Dean was about to leave, Castiel placed his hand on his shoulder and spun him around to get his attention, he didn’t know why and Dean hadn’t asked anything from him but Castiel was determined to repay him; the only way he could think of was to offer his help, he insisted until the other agreed, he was in debt with Dean after all, even if Dean hadn’t said anything, these things don’t happen just like that.

                  One year after they met, there had appeared a strange case around a local town, Castiel was the one who took care of the details of the case and to inform Dean about what could possibly they were going to be fighting against, except this time Castiel had no clue; there were so many speculations attempting to say it was a certain creature would just be wrong. Once again, they were going to have to interview people and go around looking for something suspicious.

                                              “You ready?  We need to hurry up if we want to get there before the sunset.”

Unfortunately for Sam being flung into this century without any warning had it’s disadvantages. Sure, nobody was hunting him down to try and slay him for fame anymore, and his hoard had been hidden well enough he could relocate it without any problem, even after a couple of centuries.

But even back then he had sacrifices, he had opportunities for companionship. Being here, where no dragons crossed the skies just to frighten the villagers, was very lonely. So he took himself out one night, flying across the night sky silent and unseen in the dark.

There weren’t many humans out at this time of night, though there were a few of those strange noisy boxes he’d seen around. They didn’t taste very good. He did spot someone of interest eventually, and he followed him for awhile. This human had a pleasing shape, he must be a knight or warrior of some kind. Dragons always did like warriors.

He swooped down and landed with a loud rattling thud on the roof of the box. It swerved, but he paid no mind, simply clawing the metal apart and carefully extracting his now claimed human from it’s innard. Without any regard to the other he took off again, high int he air as he soared towards his lair. Having new treasure to spend time with would be entertaining.
