The somewhat sentimental last chords of a Zeppelin song that had taken Dean’s mind somewhere nostalgic, were brutally cut off when the jukebox was programmed to play a very different record. He was half in the mood to get up and confront the culprit, seeing as how he wasn’t exactly in the best of moods today to begin with, but when his mind put together the familiar sounds of the next song that came on---oh. REO. Instinctively, he turned his head to find the blonde he’d associate with REO Speedwagon’s music for forever and a day from the moment she’d told him she was into their music---and there she was. Needless to say, the sight of her improved his mood greatly. 

Playing his usual facade of cool, he turned to the empty bar stool beside him and pulled it back, drumming his fingers on it as soon as he made eye contact with her. 

❝ If it isn’t Lil’ Miss Harvelle. Been a while. ❞

Way too long. Then again, he hadn’t come all the way to the Roadhouse just for drinks.

Jo blinks as she takes in the sight of Sam holding a baby. She doesn't know quite what to make of it, other than the fact that the newborn looks absolutely tiny in Sam's arms. It's almost comical---it would be if she weren't completely confused where the kid came from. "Don't tell me that one of Dean's one-nighters left him a little present...?"

Sam shook his head. “No. This might come as a surprise to you, but it’s not Dean’s” Sam may have been the brother with less hook ups and more serious relations, usually ending in the girl dying. Didn’t mean his sperm was any less capable of producing babies. “I uh had a girl for a bit. You know how hunters and girlfriends don’t mix well. Or shall I say Sam Winchester and  girlfriends...” Now he was left with a baby. To which he did confirm was his with a something that was more solid proof than just someone’s word. “It’s mine” he said.

It's been a long road getting home. He's been gone too long, thought dead. Well, technically he was dead. A demon got him and he knew he'd missed far too much time with his family. But he's hoping some how he can make it up to his little girl. 11 if he counted the years right. He pushes the door open at the near end of the day, just early enough Jo should be in her booth. He looks tired, but not aged. Not that he's been gone as long as he could have been.

Jo crosses her arms over her chest.  “That dog needs a room of his own,” she answers, before taking a deep breath.  “You want the dog?  Yer gonna build him a big enough house out back.  And you are responsible for him.  And keepin’ the yard poop-free.  Y’understand?  Y’get lax on any of this…and the dog’s goin’.”

William pouted slightly, ready to argue that his room was big enough for the two of them... probably. But he kept his mouth shut. He sighed and hung his head. Great, more manual labor. Still, if he got to keep his dog, building a house wouldn’t be too bad. He nodded. “Yes, ma’am.” Will gave his mother a mock salute.
