i’ve been stuck in season one au land for... well over two years at this point??? and i really thought i’d gotten all of the post-season 4 queliot fix-it fics out of my system in 2019 and 2020 but... lol. it’s 2023 and i’m working on the first chapter of a novel-length fix-it because i’ve had this idea eating my brain for months now and it refuses to let me go until i set it loose on the world like the terrible/wonderful hurt/comfort monster that it is so i guess it’s really true what they say...

Y'all, I had such a brain blast the other day over a bunch of Anon/Anthology of Anon (original story) and Starlight/FFIX-exclusive material... I don't know what happened; I was just bewitched by some good think-thonkin' tunes and sipping on a little rum drinky and I just went w i l d . . . Sleep was lost over it and everything! I can't stop thinking about it all even still.

🤔 Remind me to try and take some time to write at least a few of those thoughts out over here, if I don't within the next few days. I know a lot of my stuff tends to tread with original material, but even still, some of you may find at least one or two of those potential thought tangents pretty interesting! I really feel like they'd be worth sharing with the world. 💙

I'd be welcome to corrections with errors made in the FFIX-based ones as well; part of the beauty of sharing some of these would be for that very reason: for y'all to help me fact check them and better improve upon them. Multiple brains on the subject(s) = more dedicated brain power.~

didn't take my allergy meds last night as an experiment bc I need to stop taking them eventually and I think I might just have my usual "the air is dry and horrible" sinus problems now, and....so far so good.

#i think the ones from yesterday might still be in my system though #we'll see how it goes...#also i do use like moisturizing nasal spray and such. unfortunately nothing works 100% so I'm always just a bit stuffy #unless im in a building with a really good hvac system lmao #if i ever get a house....gonna be like. built in air purifier. built in humidifier. HEPA filters. fuck the air!!!

There’s nothing quite like your dad putting the fear of god and cold anger to make me write 10 pages for a paper in less than a night. Is it good? Probably not, but it’s written and it’s 10 more pages than I had yesterday.

Storm Bringer AU where everyone was too late and Chuuya didn't resist enough. (more details under the cut ↓)

Chuuya finished reciting the activation phrase the first time and released Arahabaki, which the lab could contain using their emergency water protocol (flash-flood the room like they wanted to in the video, since the room was a tank for holding water). They could then override Chuuya's "persona model", aka erase his memories for easier conditioning.

Verlaine would be a few minutes too late and find the room being emptied with Chuuya still hung on he wall. Chuuya being mostly unresponsive (that was a whole lot of physical and mental trauma in a very short time), the whole thing hit way too close to home. Verlaine unhooked Chuuya from his torture position, but left him there as he went to rampage through the whole facility and take revenge on the researchers (for himself or for Chuuya?) and find N.

In the meantime, Dazai and Adam are unaware of the situation and start off doing the exact same thing they do in the light novel, but then realize something's off compared to Dazai's predictions. Above events ensues.

what next? well. :) wouldn't I like to know
