taylor rolls up with coffee but it's not bucks correct order and eddies like "you know buck really likes [coffee order], not whatever this is" just to like. prove he knows buck more and to rub it in her face and Taylor knows EXACTLY what he's doing but bucks like "how come my gf and the man I'm in love with don't get along :(((" and then when he and taylor break up and after he gets with eddie, they both explain and he's like "oh. wait what" and eddie has to explain in front of taylor that he's known he's been in love with buck for two whole years and he was extremely jealous the entire time they were dating sjdjdkdkkf

listen LISTEN Jealous King Eddie Diaz is absolutely everything to me. EVERYTHING. I mean I love all the different kinds of Eddie. Cowboy!Eddie. DILF!Eddie. You name it. Eddie Diaz is everything to me in general. However, there's just something about Jealous Ho Eddie that's just *chef's kiss*. Because you're so right, it really is one of the funniest versions of Eddie. He literally is SO damn petty it's amazing.

I literally CANNOT wait for all of the jealousy that this king will bring in s5. Here's hoping that Treasure Hunt was just a preview of what s5 will be like for Eddie when it comes to Buck dating Taylor.

And that entire scenario? Amazing. Showstopping. *chef's kiss*. Eddie 100% would be so passive aggressive like that. Especially since Buck would more than act like he loves the coffee even if it's like the kind he hates and it aggravates Eddie to see him hide like that with his girlfriend of all people. So Eddie is both a Petty Bitch™ but also a Protective Bitch™ bc if Buck is not going to say anything and let his gf think that's his favorite coffee order then he sure will.

And Eddie definitely pull the "I know more about Buck than you" card whenever he there's like a similar moment to Treasure Hunt where Eddie tried to be included with his knowledge but they complete debunk him (aka one of the most blatant jealous!Eddie moments). He'd be like "You might bond over shared knowledge or whatever but did you know this about Buck? You didn't? Aw that's too bad." Like ngl poor Taylor bc while they're in the beginning of their relationship and getting to know each other more, Buck's BFF Eddie here is being completely relentless and always pulling a Ron Swanson on her like

Meanwhile we're having Buck worried that they're not getting along. "how come my gf and the man I'm in love with don't get along :(((" lmaooo this is absolutely perfect. He totally would be like this. oh Buck, my sweet summer child, do you hear yourself???

Okay but ngl I feel in the beginning of s5 Eddie would be more "subtle" with his petty jealousy. Like when Buck or someone mentions Taylor Eddie just tightens his jaw and sits there in silence or with small a comment or two and just makes his classic Eddie Faces™. tbh I really hope he makes his Eddie Turtle Face™ again. But then I just want to see him become and more obvious and just absolute feral with his petty jealousy to the point where everyone are like 👀👀

But no matter how it goes I just DESPERATELY need all of the jealous!Eddie in s5. Give it all to me. It just makes sense with that we saw in Treasure Hunt (and the crossover and s2 with Taylor).

Just me ranting about buddie again

Buck & Eddie really did go from Salt-N-Pepa’s Whatta Man to Layup’s Blood in the Water and then made the epic move to Ed Sheeran’s Photograph…and I’m not supposed to ship them??? Gtfoh!!!

That’s just background music. We all know this ship is built out of more than that. I mean -

* they introduced eddie via buck’s jealousy over his obvious good looks and professional skill. “What are we measuring here, buck?”

* eddie’s “you can have my back any day” and buck’s “or you can have mine”

* eddie gave buck one complo about being a badass under pressure and then buck was driving him to see chris, going to the hospital with him to visit his sick grandma, and showering the man with resources for chris in the most non-het way possible

* they confided in each other about all kinds of emotional turmoil. Ffs eddie shared his deepest shame with buck unprompted while taking their son chris to see santa

* buck didn’t deny being in a romantic r/s with eddie when the christmas elf said their kid was cute

* eddie devised and implemented operation buck up buck after he quit the lafd

* buck saved chris from the first tsunami wave and then risked life and limb to find him again. Chris was looking for buck not eddie in the aftermath

* “there’s nobody i trust with my son more than you”

* buck sued the lafd and couldn’t talk to eddie and chris so eddie promptly melted down

* eddie made a scene in a public place bc buck abandoned him emotionally when he most needed him. Mr. Control lost his shit. In public. In front of his coworkers. Over buck.

* buck was jealous of lena who was replacing him in every way with eddie. At work and as his friend.

* once buck realized the toll his lawsuit took on eddie and chris he apologized immediately and eddie forgave him without question

* The Kitchen Scene!!!

* The Well Collapse!!!

* eddie met abby and looked at her like “so this is the bitch that broke my husband’s heart”

* eddie had no chill when buck wanted to risk his life to save abby’s new fiancé

* eddie checked up on buck after he reunited abby and her new beau and the supportive concern on eddie’s face was palpable. He did a sincere emotional check in the middle of a huge rescue op. eddie is Mr Bury Your Shit and Push On but not with buck.

* buckley diaz family time and adorable pranks

* eddie being the first into a burning building to have buck’s back while buck’s melting down over family issues

* eddie being the one to talk buck through said family issues and reassure him that none of that shit is on him.

* eddie coming home to an equally very at home buck and calling him “a miracle worker” while also making it clear to the audience that this is definitely not the first time that buck has taken care of chris at bedtime

* chris running directly to buck when he’s upset with eddie. co-parenting.

* both of them having and sharing thoughts on co-parenting. “can’t you both be the good guy?” “NO.”

* eddie was so sad when buck teamed up with taylor for the treasure hunt. then he was just plain jealous of buck and taylor’s dynamic when he did join the team. “I’ll just be over here thinking by myself. Go team.”

* The Shooting!!! The prolonged eye contact. The reaching for buck with the last bit of strength. The herculean effort on buck’s part to pull eddie under the truck, lift him up, and hoist him into the truck. All the crying and begging and “are you hurt” and gentle nodding as eddie fought to stay with buck.

* buck watching chris after the shooting (not carla, not abuela, not pepa).

* buck choosing chris’s needs and comfort by staying at eddie’s house (where he’s not a guest).

* The Will!!!

* eddie’s panic attacks and buck drawing out the truth.

* eddie fearing ready made family with a*a but loving the family he worked hard to build with buck and chris

* eddie’s heart eyes on buck in the fire truck during the zoo animal escape were epic

* buck encouraging eddie to choose his own happiness and not continue a relationship when he’s not all in

* The Balcony Scene (on National Coming Out Day)!!!

* The Hostage Situation and buddie working so hard to protect each other and chris with The Will looming large

* literally all of buck’s awkward and ooc af scenes with taylor

* The Pointed Distance between them lately and eddie’s conspicuous/unexplained absence in ghost stories. Seriously the distance is so ooc for them it’s neither cute nor funny but it is meaningful
