#we all wanted guillermo's tuning to be hot

I love how despite how awkward it was we as a fandom all collectively decided to look at the silver lining of the whole cluster fuck that we got to see guillermo covered in blood and him being dramatic at the end
like was it his own blood? yes
was he only covered in blood due to really REALLY shitty planning and execution? also yes
and was he only being dramatic to try and save the situation but it arguably was all in vain cuz they were in the back of a fucking gas station awkwardly dancing around the fact that they both had no idea what they were doing? once again yes
but like the deed is done, the die is cast, those red eyes were fucking dope, and guillermo is covered in blood which is really sexy of him sooooooo shut up let us have this >:(

I could be reading too much into it but the "who wants to see that?" part of the wwdits thing felt ... idk. Cruel to Guillermo's character. Fatphobic, maybe. There's already canon gay sex in the show! Involving Nandor! Anyway I'm posting this on anon because I'm too afraid to say this out loud
Again we cannot put anything past them and I agree it was a very off putting comment but I didn’t necessarily read it like that more like “oh it’s just a silly ship on a comedy show who’s really tuning in to see that” but anyway agree it could be meant that way, maybe even just subconsciously. But much like all the textual gayness they’ve made guillermo so hot in the show so no walking it back now

Honey Newcomb - For @eeriesims‘s “The Many Suitors of One Clary Wiggins”
Honey Newcomb is your resident nymph-next door; A bubbly personality surrounded by unearthly beauty, she’s a staple character in the Glimmerbrook community. Having lived there since she was a child, Honey is well integrated with the residents who inhabit the sweet little sea town. Although she was urged by her mother and father to go to a specialty school to develop her inherited powers, Honey decided she would rather settle down with a normal job, taking up the position as Head Waitress at Dino’s Diner. Since then, she’s developed a strong foundation within the community, often letting people confide in her over a morning cup of coffee. If you need help with a problem, need to vent, or just want to talk, you go to Honey. She also bakes a mean apple pie; you’ll always come back for another slice.
General Information
Name: Honey Erytheia Newcomb
Birthday/Age: October 7th, 1994 (Age 25)
Astrological Info: Libra Sun, Cancer Moon, Pisces rising
Species: Hesperides Nymph
Height: 5’5
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her pronouns
Nicknames: Honey (her name is a nickname in of itself), Bee + Honey Bun by friends and family, Betty by many of the townsfolk for her similarities to a stereotypical 50s blonde
Occupation: The Head Waitress at Dino’s Diner; everyone knows her, everyone loves her.
Fun Facts
“You know, back when I did roller derby…” - The key factor that drew Honey to the waitress application at Dino’s was the inclusion of rollerskates in the uniform. Honey competed in professional roller derby during her early twenties, and never quite gave up her love for it. However, she soon found out she was much more coordinated on the track than in the diner when she fell flat on her arse the first day. She’ll bring her past up at random points, but mostly to convince people that she’s not a complete mess on wheels.
“How are y’all doin’ today?” - Somehow, over the years, Honey developed a slight southern drawl. This was peculiar, since no one in her family has a southern accent and Glimmerbrook is nowhere near the deep south. However, customers find it quite charming. Honey chalks this quirk up to her being incredibly impressionable, assuming she picked it up from some passing tourists.
“He’s not weird, he’s adorable!” - Being a nymph, Honey has always had a connection to nature and animals. This has brought her to collect an interesting array of pets over the years. Her most beloved pet is her tarantula, Alberto. People never seem to want to get to know him, and just think he’s strange. It wounds her deeply, he’s a lovely fellow once you warm up to him!
“Oh my gosh, I’m not even goin’ that fast, stop screaming!” - Honey is a horrible driver. She’ll never admit it, and always offers to give people rides or be the designated driver. Don’t let her. Please, it’s for your own good. She drives a buggy that looks like its been through a hurricane.
“See, watch!” *fuse bursts* - Honey’s overarching classification is a Light/Star nymph, although specifically her species is a Hesperides. This means that she cannot create light, but she can manipulate it. Or rather, she would be able to, if she went to school to hone her skills. As it stands, all she can do is make lights shine a little brighter, although it usually comes with a few busted fuses. She can light candles without matches though, which is pretty cool.
“A second chance can’t hurt, right?” - In her younger years, Honey was incredibly trusting, almost to a fault. She often put others before herself, and some took advantage of that. While she’s learned from her mistakes, there's still a part of her that always wants to see the best in people. She doesn’t like to use the term naive, but she knows that it’s an accurate descriptor sometimes.
“... Sorry, what was I saying?” - Honey tends to ramble a lot, and often loses her train of thought. You’ll get her started on one topic, and in a few seconds you’ll be miles away. You might have to tap her on the shoulder to reel her back into the present.
Fun Little Quirks
Her favorite fruit is peaches, and she has to have some at least once a day. It brings her life a little more consistency.
Her handwriting is incredibly neat. The cooks who read the orders at the diner appreciate this immensely.
She’s played the violin since she was a child. While she hasn’t played ensemble in years, she still picks it up for a tune now and then.
There's a tally board in the kitchen at the diner counting how many plates she’s broken. They’ve already had to move to a second page.
She loves to embroider, and often gives her latest projects to her friends for free. Most of the shops in town have one hanging in their window.
Important Questions
How did you meet Clary?
“Well, it’s the funniest thing! I actually heard about her before I met her. I was pouring a morning cup of green tea for Guillermo Reyes, you know, the librarian? And you know how much that man loves a little gossip. Well, he told me that he had heard from Layla who heard from Jack who heard from Mabel that Ronnie had seen a mysterious woman pull up to Etheline’s house late the afternoon before, and that apparently it was her granddaughter! So, of course, I’m intrigued. And then, as luck has it, right when Mr.Reyes walked out the door, she walked in! She sat down at a booth, and I was so nervous that I forgot to take off my skates when I went to take her order! So, of course, I fell. Oh gosh, I’m embarrassed even thinking about it! Thankfully, she didn’t make fun of me, just gave a little chuckle and helped me to my feet. I took her order in pretty much a daze. I almost fell over again when she waved at me on her way out.”
What was your first impression of Clary?
“Honestly? Well, of course I thought she was absolutely gorgeous. Dark hair, dark eyes, ugh! I could go on all day! I also noticed her ears. While elves and nymphs aren’t exactly uncommon ‘round here, their ears haven’t really been passed down. So seeing a dame with those ears? Shocking, but amazing! I haven’t seen someone with ears like mine in many moons. Her hands were also incredibly soft. Literally, I don’t think I’ve ever felt something so soft in my life! Well, that’s probably not true... but that’s how it felt!”
What is your ideal date?
“Oh gosh, I haven’t been on a real date in so long! Well, from my experience, it’s always best to get to know someone a little bit before going on a date. I would invite them over to the diner a few times, just to form a bond. They also get to see me in my natural habitat, at my happiest and my most stressed. Then, once that’s done, I’d love a picnic at the wharf! Sure, the area’s a bit grimey and cluttered, but it’s just so peaceful there, you wouldn’t believe it! One of my other favorite past times is stargazing in the fields just outside of town. There’s this hidden nook in the trees there that my parents used to take me to for training. It gets the most beautiful lighting, day or night. I’ve always wanted to take someone there!”
What is your ideal relationship?
“I really just want someone who’s as invested in the relationship as I am. Some people only want to date for the sake of dating, not actually caring for the other person as they should. If I get into a relationship, I want to feel everything. The highs, lows, and in-betweens. Obviously no relationship is perfect, but I am a firm believer in clear communication. I need to know how you’re feeling.”
“I’m also super touchy-feely. Doesn’t matter when or why, I’ll probably be draping myself over you in some way. Physical contact doesn’t have to lead to something more; Sometimes the best thing is just knowing that the other person is there with you.”
“I want a relationship where we listen to each other. Even if I don’t understand your emotions regarding something, I want to validate them and be there for you. But I want that from the other person too. I tend to be pretty insecure at times, and it would be nice to have someone to snap me out of those thoughts every now and then. I believe that in a relationship you grow together.”
“I never really know what to expect out of a relationship, because everyone’s different. I’m not gonna lie, there's been a few people who have taken me through the ringer, and I haven’t come out undamaged. I want someone who can show me how beautiful love can be, even with its faults.”
What is Honey’s personality like?
Like her name, Honey is sweetness personified. She dislikes the stereotype of nymphs being air-headed and easily manipulated. She is kind and caring, but she doesn’t want to let people walk over her. Sadly, she is often one to walk over herself. She tends to be very self-critical, always wondering if she could have ever amounted to something more. Although she never craved a life beyond her current status, her mother’s powerful reputation as a healer looms over her. She’s also probably the clumsiest person you will ever meet, often taking off her roller-skates to deliver orders to tables out of fear of falling over. Big “i’m baby” energy.
Even though she’s young, Honey is definitely the mom type. Everyone who walks through the door has a story, and she wants to make them feel welcome and wanted no matter what, rain or shine. If someone’s feeling down, she’ll make the sun shine a little brighter. She also has a knack for guessing just what people want to eat on any given day. If you think you don’t know what you want, no problem. Honey’s great at reading people, but there have been times where she’s let the glasses stay on a bit too long.
Honey lives in a cottage in the suburbs of Glimmerbrook. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but don’t come in without being invited. She’s got about fifteen guard animals waiting.
Honey’s hobbies mostly revolve around baking, cooking, and general upkeep of the diner. After hours, you’ll most likely find her bundled up on the back steps of the diner, sharing a hot chocolate with one of Glimmerbrook’s interesting residents, or giving tourists tips on the hidden gems around town. Honey is perfectly amicable with the townsfolk, and loves them dearly, but she’s never been able to find that special someone. She hopes that one day someone will come to sweep her off her feet and make her feel the things she’s heard about from the local lovebirds.

Werewolf, orc, devil for the ask game? 💜
werewolf: do you fall in love quickly?
No, not at all lol. I get...infatuated very easily. Lots of falling in lust for strangers, or just thinking someones hot but even crushes are difficult for me. My sis says I'm emotionally not available which is....fair tbh. I like the idea of someone wanting me I think, but also am terrified of of emotional vulnerability.
orc: do you prefer a boy who is scary on the outside and sweet on the inside, or do you prefer bad boys?
Answered in the last one but bad boys!!! 😈
devil: describe your dream boyfriend
Dabi from BNHA.
JUST KIDDING!!! (tho he is...pretty damn close) Lets build a boyfriend!!!
Tumblr media
Dreamboat is a smarmy fuckboi with a punk aesthetic to him. He's confident and resourceful but can blend into a crowd when needed. Loves rough housing and playfighting (that sometimes leads to the bedroom...). He's protective but not overbearing. He keeps an arm around my shoulders or waist, or his hand in my jeans pocket almost always. We get into fights with other punks and he gets more excited seeing me fight with him than worried but if i seem in over my head then he jumps in. We patch each other up sharing a smoke afterwards.
We dont share everything in common but he lets me rant about whatever show I'm currently hyperfixated and asks questions even if he's not fully tuned in and doesnt get mad when I ask him questions abt his work/hobbies. We laugh at the dumb, immature and maybe dark jokes we make together. He never tries to contain or rope me in unless I start getting bratty with him, and even then he'll just ask if I really want to try that with him. If I'm a demon to the world then he's definitely the devil.
Also he's taller and bigger than me (not hard Im 5'2 and 100lbs), with demon horns and fangs. He's a perfect mix of Guillermo de Toro's Hellboy and Dabi from BNHA. He raws me every night and burns/carves his name onto me out of sight to bc uh possesive 💦💦💦💦

Would Jesse Marsch or Gregg Berhalter be a better choice for next US coach?
USA Today Sports
June 6, 20184:30PM EDT
Bobby Warshaw & Matthew Doyle
The US men’s national team now has a general manager in place, representing the first concrete step towards hiring a new coach. U.S. Soccer isn’t about to rush the coaching hire – Earnie Stewart will start his new role as GM on Aug. 1 – and needless to say, it’s an important one.
A long list of names has been mentioned in relation to the job, from experienced international coaches to young, up-and-coming MLS coaches, many of whom we hope Stewart takes a look at. But the latter group is where we’ll focus our discussion, especially given the fact that two of the most prominent names on that list will face each other this weekend when Gregg Berhalter and Columbus Crew SC will welcome the New York Red Bulls, led by Jesse Marsch, to Ohio on Saturday (5 pm ET | ESPN — Full TV & streaming info).
Both coaches have built successful, entertaining teams; both have worn the USMNT jersey; both have honed their craft abroad; and both have shown an ability to work with and develop young American players. Perhaps most importantly, both are known commodities to Stewart. As such, my colleague Matt Doyle and I got together to ask the question: Who would you prefer to take the USMNT job, Berhalter or Marsch?
BOBBY WARSHAW: I’ll start by saying I would be happy with either – I love the way both the Red Bulls and Crew SC play and I’d be ecstatic to see the national team play as intelligently as either of those teams do – but I would go with Jesse Marsch. I like what Berhalter has built in Columbus and the way he wants his team to play, but I’m not sure it’s transferable to the international game. International teams don’t have as much time together on the training field as club teams. They only get two or three days before key games. Berhalter’s system is very dependent on rehearsing specific patterns, both offensively and defensively.
When we watch Crew SC play, we see a fluid, possession team. None of that happens by accident, though. It’s all rehearsed over and over on the training pitch. The principles of the movement and actions have to be pounded into the players. I’m not sure Berhalter would have enough time in the international calendar to build a team with those concepts. And if you try to pass the way Crew SC do but you aren’t good at it, the results can get ugly.
Marsch’s system of pressing, while still intricate and complex, should be easier to ingrain into players in a shorter amount of time. I think it takes less time to teach pressing schemes and offensive transitions than it does to perfect possession movements and passing patterns. It’s not to say it would be easy, just that it would be more doable given the constraints. When you evaluate coaches for a national team, you can’t just think about how good of a coach they are at the club level, but how their skills and preferences would translate to the international game.
MATT DOYLE: I will echo your point about being happy with either. Watching their teams, regardless of what approach they happen to be taking during that particular moment, brings me actual joy. I love watching soccer played with purpose and cohesion and chemistry, and that’s what both give you. That’s coaching plus talent.
That said, I actually think I disagree with your points re: which style is harder to play. To be clear, both a “let’s build from the back and possess” and “let’s press like bloodthirsty maniacs” are high-risk/high-reward propositions. You turn the ball over on one, and you’re giving away a goal. You get your first two lines broken on the other, and you’re risking a breakaway. We’ve seen it happen to both.
But we’re entering a generation in which we’ll have a bunch of players who really, really know how to use the ball, and how to move away from it in order to open up lanes. I believe in Berhalter’s ability to teach this:
Not to say that Marsch’s teams can’t or haven’t done similar to this. They absolutely have.
But force me to choose between one foundation vs. the other for the next four years, and I’m going with the team that more often uses the ball by building from the back.
BOBBY WARSHAW: You set me up perfectly for my second part of the conversation. You mentioned the idea of being a possession team that builds from the back. Here’s my concern: In the arc of American soccer player development, can we compete (yet) with the best in the world at building from the back? I’m a firm believer that you always need to think about how you stack up to the competition and where you can find your competitive advantages. I’d love to see a US national team that plays like Germany and keeps the ball as well as they do; can we realistically do that yet? If we try to go toe-to-toe at possession with Germany, won’t they steamroll us? I’m all about romantic ideals of the game, but we’ve already seen what happens when we don’t think about securing results.
Perhaps more specifically related to the USMNT’s needs: Is it possible to build from the back in Concacaf? Is it fool’s gold to have an ideal of how we want to play when almost half of the games are under circumstances (bad fields, hot climates) that simply don’t allow for that? I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s impossible to always win in Honduras with a clean possession game, but I’d say the bar is raised on the technical demands. I’m not sure we are producing those players yet and it’s possible we won’t do so during the tenure of the next national team coach.
I think we all hope (dare I say, assume) that we will get there one day, but I’m not sure that day is here yet. As such, we need to think close about how we can find our competitive advantage in the international game, and I’d say Marsch’s second-ball, transition-moments approach fits that better than a possession-based coach, and specifically fits that against possession-based systems:
MATT DOYLE: These are all good points, but in the same vein: Can you possibly press teams to death in the heat and humidity of Central America, or the altitude of Mexico City? Every approach has some sort of drawback in our game, in our region, with our player pool, and just me being me, I’m always going to lean towards the one that’s a little bit more about having the ball.
The truth is, though, that whoever the next coach is is going to have to create a synthesis of styles. I love what I see from both Berhalter and Marsch because they both have a foundational approach, so you never have the sort of “What ARE we actually doing?” performances that were oh-so-regular under Jurgen Klinsmann.
But they’re both also more flexible than given credit for. RBNY were hella cagey in that first CCL leg at Guadalajara – a game they didn’t win, but one in which they had a clearly better gameplan that only fell apart for a single second (Tyler Adams hit the one pass he was expressly not supposed to hit). That was, in its way, the most impressive RBNY performance of the year.
And look, we all know what Berhalter’s teams can/will do when they have to:
I also don’t really buy this line: “I’d love to see a US national team that plays like Germany and keeps the ball as well as they do; can we realistically do that yet?”
There’s a lot of daylight between “Good with the ball” and “as good with the ball as Germany or Spain.” If we can progress toward that level it will be a competitive advantage for us, though obviously we’d still have to be situationally aware and completely in tune with our shortcomings.
As we mentioned at the top, there are a bunch of other guys who we hope Earnie Stewart takes a look at as well. From within MLS there’s Tata Martino (Atlanta United), Patrick Vieira (New York City FC), Greg Vanney (Toronto FC), Peter Vermes (Sporting Kansas City). And from outside MLS circles: Guillermo Barros Schelotto (Boca Juniors), David Wagner (Huddersfield Town), Christian Streich (Freiburg), John Van de Brom (AZ).
Also bear in mind there will be more good coaches on the market after the World Cup. With the GM search now done, the search for a head coach is just starting. Stewart’s right to cast a wide net, but he’d be smart to look local first.

West Week Ever: Pop Culture In Review - 5/12/17
In movie news, it was reported by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola that there will be an R-rated Hellboy reboot film. Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen will star Stranger Things‘s David Harbour in the title role, and will be directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent). As most fans were holding out for a Hellboy 3, this news came as quite a surprise. Still, it won’t star Ron Perlman, nor will it be directed by Guillermo Del Toro, so folks are a bit hesitant. I think Harbour will be good in the role, and I remember enjoying The Descent, so I think the franchise is in good hands if the intent is to scare the audience.
youtube
We got a trailer for Blade Runner 2049, which did absolutely nothing for me. Back when I was in college, I did a summer in London where I was supposed to be learning about globalization. Instead, the professor had us watch Blade Runner. I still don’t know how the two topics tied together. Anyway, I hated that movie. It tried too hard. Like Peter Griffin describes The Godfather, it insists upon itself. It wants to be so deep and mysterious, with its whole “Is Decker a Replicant?” thing. I just wasn’t a fan. So this sequel isn’t exactly on my Must Watch list, which is a shame seeing as how I’ve loved Ryan Gosling since Breaker High. Yup, even in Young Hercules. Some folks seem excited for this film, though, so good for them I guess.
Over on cable, shows are playing musical chairs. The Untitled Black-ish Spinoff that we talked about last week may now be moving to Freeform It seems that the audience that tuned in were a bit lower than what ABC would like to see for a Wednesday night, but the demographics are perfect for the show to be on Freeform. Meanwhile, fantasy series The Shannara Chronicles is moving from MTV to Spike TV (which will soon be rebranded as The Paramount Network). I never watched Shannara, but it didn’t seem like the kind of thing that belonged on MTV, except for the fact that it starred pretty teens. I’m not even sure Spike is the right home for it, either, but maybe this is a hint as to how they’re planning to use The Paramount Network.
Speaking of cable, out of nowhere it was announced that Donald Glover would be the showrunner for a Deadpool animated series on FXX. Yeah, that Donald Glover. It’s odd that we’re not getting season 2 of Atlanta until 2018 at the earliest because of his other commitments, but he’s gonna have time to do this? He’ll be running the show with his brother Stephen, but it still sounds like a tall order. I’d rather have Atlanta. Plus, this just feels like it’s gonna be Marvel’s Archer. 10 episodes have been ordered for a 2018 debut.
On basic TV, Modern Family scored a 2-season renewal, with the grown-up cast members getting a raise from $350,000 to $500,000 an episode. The contract negotiations came down to the wire, but in the end ABC was able to keep its Wednesday night lynchpin. I honestly feel like this show should’ve ended 3 years ago. I stopped being able to really relate to them when I realized they whole upper middle class status made their lives unrealistic. They never seem to have money problems, they can take trips and do whatever they want. It’s funny – the same reasons I hate Roseanne (they were so damn poor) is what I feel are missing from Modern Family. Plus, there’s the elephant in the room in the form of Ariel Winter. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, she has grown up into what some might call “hot as shit”, yet they still frump her up on the show because her character, Alex, is supposed to be mousy next to Sarah Hyland’s Haley. If they really want to make these final (yes, I’m calling it: final) two seasons interesting, they will address this fact, and force Haley to realize she’s no longer the “hot daughter”. That might actually make me watch the show again.
Meanwhile, The CW officially ordered Black Lightning to series. This would typically be seen as good news, but I can’t help but feel like the Berlantiverse is too big and unwieldy at this point. Whenever a new show is introduced, the existing shows suffer. Everyone loved Arrow until The Flash came along. Then, they loved The Flash, yet felt Arrow had slipped. Then Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow debuted, and The Flash suffered while Supergirl was praised. This has been something of a rebuilding season across the board. Supergirl had to adjust to a network switch, while Legends saw an increase in quality. Arrow saw a return to form, while The Flash is doing whatever it’s doing over there. Flashpoint or some shit. The point is that the existing shows are finally heading in the right direction, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to introduce a new hero. In fact, I feel like Legends should be a proving ground. If a member of that team becomes a breakout fan favorite, then they get a spinoff. I’d be fine with Black Lightning as a member of the Legends, but I don’t know if there’s enough meat on that bone for him to have his own series. And can you imagine the FIVE-WAY crossover we’re gonna end up with next season?! I was already disappointed by this season’s uneven four-way, but to add another show to that? Sure, it’ll be a weeklong event, but it isn’t necessary.
With the network Upfront presentations looming over the horizon, this is the time of year when your favorite show either gets another lease on life or it gets the chop. Here’s the movement from the past 24 hrs:

Song of the Week
youtube
I’m trying something new. Every week, I’m gonna share a song/video that I discovered that week. Today, I give you Midland’s “Drinkin’ Problem”. Yes, it’s country, but I love the sound, as it’s more of a bluesy 70s song than straight up country, and I LOVE the video.
Things You Might Have Missed This Week
Kelly Clarkson is reportedly in talks to be a judge on the revived American Idol on ABC. Seems like those talks were too late, though, as she has officially signed on as a coach on the next season of The Voice
Fox officially ordered X-Men tie-in The Gifted to series
Speaking of X-Men, Maisie Williams of Game of Thrones will play Wolfsbane in the New Mutants film. She will be joined by Magik, played by Split‘s Anya Taylor-Joy.
IM Global and Rebellion are teaming up to produce a live action Judge Dredd TV series, called Judge Dredd: Mega City One
Scandal will reportedly end after its upcoming 7th season
Direct from The LEGO Movie, Unikitty will be getting her own cartoon on Cartoon Network
Time to spot the pineapple, as Psych: The Movie will premiere on USA in December
So last Thursday night I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. I didn’t mention it in last week’s post because I’m trying to switch things up. It’s unrealistic of me to expect that all of you are able to see a film on opening night, and I also feel like you’re less likely to read my post if you think I might spoil something. So, I figured it best to sit on it a week so we’d all be on the same page. Anyway, what did I think of the film? I LOVED IT! I might even love it more than the original.
I’d say that this is probably the most emotional MCU film, as it’s more about family and belonging than it is about Infinity Stones and Winter Soldier. Star Lord’s story really hit home as a fellow child of the 80s, raised by his mom, who also didn’t have his father in his life. Now, instead of being a god, my dad simply died. But I’m sure I probably also wished Michael Knight was my dad at some point in my childhood.
What’s the movie about? Well, the Guardians are split up after a caper gone wrong. Half of the crew stays behind to fix their ship, while the other half go off with Star-Lord’s long lost father, Ego. But all is not as it seems with Ego. And that’s about all I’ll say about that. I can’t think of a single that I didn’t like about the film. Actually, scratch that. There was one thing: The Watchers. They just looked hokey, and I would’ve been fine if they’d never been introduced in the MCU. That kind of stuff belongs in the Fantastic Four Fox movies, but I like to think the MCU is more grounded than that. Their appearance looked and felt cheap to me, but luckily it’s only for a split second, unless you count their after credits appearance, too. Maybe it’s just because I typically hate most things about Cosmic Marvel, but the Guardians movies have slowly brought me around.
Internationally, the film has already crossed the $500 million mark, so I think it’s safe to say it’s success. They’re already talking about Vol 3 which, supposedly, will set up the next decade of the MCU. While I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that (again, I’m not a huge fan of Space Marvel), I’m eager to see how they pull it off. For all these reasons, Guardians of  the Galaxy Vol 2 had the West Week Ever.
