there's something going on between jeonghyeon and y/n.

hanbin is sure he's cracked the case, now.

before, it really wasn't that weird, the two of them did normal best friend things, but the reason hanbin started thinking something else was going was because of how jeonghyeon willingly let y/n give him affection.

he brought it up in a live once, masking it as jealousy because jeonghyeon never allows him to give kisses, but lets y/n kiss him, even on pretty normal occasions.

he wanted answers, but the answers given to him were pretty vague.

they didn't even answer his question, just laughed and changed the subject.

now, hanbin likes to think he's observant, being friends with jeonghyeon and y/n for two years has made him pretty perceptive. he notices the small things about them, the slight changes, the fonder looks they share, how even after group hugs end they continue to cling onto each other, how they always choose to sit next or beside each other.

hanbin thinks he has it all figured out. they have to be dating..there's no other explanation for this!

hanbin is lost in his thoughts as he stirs his cup of coffee, and when he hears the door open, he smiles as he sees y/n walk in, rubbing his eyes.

"y/n, morning".

"morning hanbin".

when hanbin turns fully around, he blinks as he comes across the sight of y/n wearing a sweater, but it's not his sweater, it looks a little big on him if he's being honest.

don't ask him hanbin.

"that's not your sweater, is it?"

good lord you asked him.

y/n looks up, taking a sip of his coffee first. "no, it's not my sweater, it's jeonghyeon's".

hanbin watches y/n specifically smile as he says jeonghyeon's name, but he doesn't comment on it, instead raising an eyebrow suspiciously at y/n.

the younger notices, giving a small smile, though hanbin can see the pink color on his cheeks. "i borrowed it and he didn't seem to mind, so.."

"uh huh" hanbin simply sips his coffee, still staring at y/n with narrowed eyes.

they had a fan meeting later today, he should be focused on that.

oh please, he tried.

but now hanbin is 100% sure jeonghyeon and y/n are dating.

the two of them are quite literally attached to the hip the whole fan meet, and okay, it's normal to be very close to your friends, but lee jeonghyeon of all people, being affectionate? after he vehemently denies all of hanbin's affection? it surprises him.

they don't even make an effort to hide it, y/n is clearly, in broad daylight, admiring jeonghyeon like he depends on it, even getting distracted by jeonghyeon whilst he was speaking to fans, on camera (hanbin is sure fans on twitter are gonna have a field day with that).

he's sure that junghyun and jihoo notice too, because they keep giggling and whispering to each other.

the 'couple' though, don't seem to catch on quite yet.

they look like their having the best time of their lives, if hanbin's being honest, and he can't help but smile at how cute they are, they're still his good friends after all, he's glad they're happy.

but it still doesn't answer his questions.

after the fan meeting ends, the rest of them are tired, but hanbin is still very curious, his mind keeps pushing him to ask jeonghyeon questions about him and y/n.

no, you shouldn't be nosy, hanbin, even if they are dating just leave them be, it's literally none of your business.

but for pete's sake, hanbin can't not ask any questions, especially with how obvious they are being.

when hanbin comes across the two of them again, the two youngest are already asleep, they have school tomorrow, and hanbin has to wake them up in the morning.

he walks into jeonghyeon's room, he pauses at the doorway. jeonghyeon is sitting on his bed, using his phone, y/n is sleeping on his lap, completely passed out as jeonghyeon uses his free hand to run his fingers through his hair.

i better not be stupid..

"hi hanbin" jeonghyeon smiles at the sight of the eldest, continuing to play with y/n's hair as he softly snores. "do you need something?"

hanbin blinks, resisting the urge to let his jaw drop because y/n is wearing jeonghyeon's sweater again, if this isn't the most obvious relationship ever he doesn't know what is.

"jeonghyeon".

"yeah?" jeonghyeon looks confused, because the way hanbin called his name makes it seem like he did something wrong. "what happened?"

"i— uh.. you—" hanbin pauses once again, sighing. "you two are like.. a thing right?"

jeonghyeon tilts his head, staring for a moment before he giggles. "i'm surprised you didn't ask sooner".

now hanbin's jaw drops, he takes a long pause before closing his mouth, blinking as he stares at the younger 02 liner. "what do you mean?"

"it's been four months".

"four months!?"

hanbin feels stupid, they have been dating for four months and he's only just caught on. the two of them have been dating since march, and he didn't even notice until after the show ended.

"i— how did i not notice?"

"i was waiting for you to" jeonghyeon replies, a small smile coming to his face. "taerae got it before you, heck, even seunghwan did, and he's not even in this company".

hanbin gasps, placing a hand on his chest right above his heart. jeonghyeon laughs once again, using his free hand to cover his mouth.

hanbin pouts, now feeling stupid, and jeonghyeon finally stops laughing. "sorry sorry, i just.. how did you not know?"

"i didn't want to assume and be wrong!"

"well you weren't!"

hanbin sighs and his shoulders slump, but as he stares at jeonghyeon sitting on the bed, and y/n sleeping on his lap, he just smiles, because they're happy.

if they're happy, that's all that matters.

"well, i'm happy for you two, even though i discovered much later than i should've.."

hanbin mumbles, and jeonghyeon just lowers his head, making sure he doesn't begin laughing once again. "you guys take care of each other, okay?"

jeonghyeon looks down at y/n sleeping in his lap, a familiar look of love coming to his eyes. "of course, thank you hanbin hyung".

"no problem, make sure to go to sleep early too okay?"

"well, i can't promise that".

hanbin chuckles and smiles at jeonghyeon, shaking his head as he closes the door to his room.

jeonghyeon still finds himself giggling at that prior interaction.

y/n shifts as he feels jeonghyeon's fingers comb through his hair, he blinks and looks up at his boyfriend, who looks back down at him. for some reason, jeonghyeon laughs and presses a kiss onto his forehead.

"what's so funny?"

"hanbinie finally found out about us".

y/n is clearly surprised. he doesn't move his head from jeonghyeon's lap as he processes the statement, a look of shock coming to his face.

"just now?"

"just now" jeonghyeon confirms, and y/n snickers to himself, covering his face with his hands.

jeonghyeon just stares, and y/n notices, because he just stares with such fond eyes that it's hard not to notice.

"stop looking at me like that!"

"like what honey?"

y/n buries his face into his hands in frustration, face too red and hot for his own comfort. a small laugh is hears from jeonghyeon, who is definitely amused by how easily his boyfriend gets flustered.

"i hate you".

"i love you too".

a/n: i miss jh so much :/ COME HOME

you were staying in for the night, tired from work while your boyfriend, jeonghyeon, went out with his wakeonez trainees to eat a meal after confirming their debut.

when you heard him say it over call you were more than ecstatic and told him to let loose after the release all of the pressure he faced as a trainee and to enjoy his night out.

you started to rethink that wasn’t the best advice when you saw a sober munjung dragging your very drunk boyfriend to your front doorstep.

“hi y/n, he had a bit much haha,” munjung was panting and sweating in exhaustion by carrying his best friend’s dead weight, “oh my god, i’ll take care of him don’t worry, get home safe with your hyungs okay?”

he simply nods, bows and walks to the direction of his dorm. still catching his breath.

you tell jeonghyeon to take off his shoes so you can bring him in, suddenly, he jolts out of your arms and clings to the walls of the hallway entrance

“no!”

“why, whats wrong babe?”

“only my partner can touch me! not youuuuu!” he drags out, while pointing at you and leaning his face full of disgust.

he looks around the house, in search of someone.

“what did you do to my y/n!? you’re not them, you can’t call me babe”

you smile a little, realising what he’s saying.

he was too drunk to recognise you were his s/o and was being faithful when another person (you) tried to 'flirt' and touch him.

“okay jeonghyeon, i’m sorry, but you’re too drunk. can you take off your shoes for me?”

jeonghyeon looks at you with a pout, a mumbled okay is heard before he flops off his sneakers and attempts to walk into the hallway.

he miserably fails, stumbling because he’s seeing double of everything. thankfully you’re there to catch him and hold his hand to keep him steady.

seeing his own hand intertwined with yours he gasps, “ohh wait until y/n hears about this you’re gonna be in trouble~” he giggles before pausing.

“oh shit~ i’m gonna die too then.”

while he mourns his seemingly soon-to-be death, he’s in your guys’ washroom and sitting on the closed lid toilet.

“you won’t die babe, i am y/n” you pinch his cheek because of his silliness. he grabs your hand on his face.

“oh… that makes sense why you’re so pretty hehe,” he forces open your palm and rubs his face against it, making you soft inside.

“mm thank you babe, but lets clean you up.” you then proceed to wash off his makeup, make him brush his teeth, and get into a fresh pair of pjs.

throughout it all he's really clingy and lovey to you, as you wipe his makeup he hangs his arms around your waist, "mmm you're too sweet y/n., did you know that i realllllllly love you?" you give his lips a quick peck as an acknowledgement.

"i love you too, now lets get you changed"

while he changes, you get a glass of water with some painkillers to help with his hangover you'll have to take care of in the morning.

he comes out and as he's sobered up a bit he slumps himself to the bed and flops face first into his pillow.

you nudge him onto his back "get up, you need to drink this," you say handing him his medicine and water.

jeonghyeon takes the glass with both hands, he looks up at you with his signature puppy eyes. even drunk he knows how to make you the softest person.

"if i do can i have face kisses?" he giggles at his own request.

you chuckle, you've never seen jeonghyeon act so cute. you almost didn't want his drunken state to end, but you knew the hangover would come and be a pain. "of course babe," jeonghyeon shyly takes the pill and drinks it.

after he gulps it down, a closed-mouth smile grows on his face as he patiently waits for his kisses, you lean in close. giving small pecks to his forehead, nose, cheeks, lips and then every other spot on his face lacking attention.

"happy jeonghyeon?" he smiles widely and says a quick mmh of acknowledgement.

"okay, lay down and try to sleep," knowing his drunk patterns, he'll be out in a flash.

"okay~"

when you take his glass from him as he lays down, you try to go to the kitchen to wash the dishes.

"y/n~ come back to bed~" he was groaning, complaining of your soon-to-be absence.

"i'll be quick, i promise" you put down the glass to pat his head before he grabs your arm and pulls you into bed. wrapping his arms around yours so you're stuck facing his sleepy drunk state. you're surprised he's able to maintain his strength while so inebriated.

"mmm no, i like being with you more," you groan but his grip can't let you escape, so you cave in for a while.

"why don't you cuddle teddy while i put the glass away?" you point at the teddy bear you got him for his birthday above your guys' head, leaning on the bedframe, lonely.

"no it's okay, you're my new pillow," you're face grows red, but jeonghyeon can't see it, he's falling asleep with your head in his chest and snuggling closer to you by any means.

Jeonghyeon was laying on taerae's sofa in the living room, along with junhyeon and junghyun, watching random Youtube videos.

"HAHA! LOOK AT THAT GUY" junhyeon starts laughing out, pointing at the screen as all the guys accompany his laughing.

Just as they were about to watch another video and start laughing again, the door opened with a large bang behind them, causing the boys to jump up, turning at the source of the noise.

I looked outside the classroom window while waiting for the professor..if i knew that the professor would be late i should've come later hmph...as i zone out i didn't notice someone sat beside me.

"bored?"i flinched when someone whispered to my ear.I immediately turned around only to be faced by someone i don't want to see.

"get lost."i coldly said then turned my head.

"what a way to say good morning"he said while tapping his fingers on the table making me sigh in frustration..what a way to ruin my morning....

"can you just please leave me alone."i said and he just chuckled at me....you're handsome, yet your attitude doesn't suit you....

"someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed huh"he teases making me step on his foot, he hiss in pain but before he can speak the professor enters the room...Finally...

TIME SKIP..

finally break time..i walked towards the locker room to put my things.As i closed my locker i saw my brother with his friends walking towards me.

"Hi Hao ge and hi guys"i greet my brother and his friends, They also greet me back.

"Let's go?"my brother said and i nodded then we walked together towards the cafeteria.

As i walked silently next to my brother i saw 'him' talking to a girl and they looked happy..who is she? and why do i care...we made eye contact but i immediately avoided it and ignored him.

"Hey fancy seeing you here~"this annoying friend of mine-who also happens to be one of my brothers friend-said and i only roll my eyes.

"what do you mean?b*tch i'm always here, you're the one who's always busy to join us"i said making him laugh.

"blame my schedule missy"as he said that my eyes went to the cafeteria door to see 'him' and the girl earlier.My friend noticed it and looked at their way too.

"isn't that your crus-AHH!"i pinched him when he said that..he opened his big mouth again...

"are you stupid no one knows that except you"i whisper and he just laughed at me.

"what are you two whispering about?"Hao ge said as he gave me my food and I thanked him.

after class i immediately went outside to find my cousin... cause she's just new here...as i walked in their building i saw my cousin talking to 'her' she's smiling while pointing at the other building.

as soon as they were done talking their parted ways then my cousin saw me, she walked towards me.

"who was that?"i asked as soon as she reached me.. I'll act as if i don't know her...

"ohh it's y/n unnie she helped me find your building but i guess you found me first"she laughed then we went outside the building.

"she's really pretty"my cousin blurted out all of a sudden, i looked at her confusedly.

"who?"i said and pulled out my phone since it's been vibrating nonstop.

"did you fall for her already? you just met her"i said and stopped at the garden to wait for taerae.

they're so close that the girl called her oppa..why do i feel jealous...he's just my tiny little crush...

"wth matthew!"i said while rubbing my ear.

"you're zoning out we're going home now"he said and i just nodded.. should i confess? or should i wait for the right time?...

AFTER A WEEK...

as we entered the school gate i saw 'him' talking to his friends..his smile is so pretty...my brother and i went to the garden.

i immediately saw matthew and went to him to talk about something.

"Hi hi"he greeted me and i greeted him back

"i need to talk to you"i seriously said and he listens to me...

"i'm going to confess to him later"i said looking straight at him, His face changed from serious to shocked.

"are you for real?! you're going to confess?!"he shouted that i know my brother and his friends heard..i'm doomed...

"who are you going to confess y/n?"hao ge said and i can hear a seriousness in his voice.

"ahmm"i looked at him nervously and back to matthew, eyes asking for help but he just looked away..this b*tch..

"who?"hao ge asked again and i finally had the courage to look at him.

"jeonghyeon"i said to him and looked away.

"lee jeonghyeon?"s.hanbin oppa said and i nodded still not looking at my brother."hey look at me"my brother said and i looked at him.

"why didn't you tell me that you like him,so that i can help you too"he said and i sigh in relief.

"i thought you'd be mad and i didn't know that you knew him"i explained to him and he just smiled then pulled out his phone.. what is he doing??..

"let's go or you'll be late to your class"he said then start walking so i followed him.

"what was that?"i asked him but he just shrugged his shoulder..???..

AFTER CLASS

weird he didn't bother me the whole day..i thought as i made my way towards my brothers building.

as i reached his room i saw talking to 'him' so i knocked on the door to get their attention,both of them looked at my way and all of a sudden someone pushed me inside then i only heard the door being locked.

i looked around, my brother is gone and it's only him and i...oh my god it's so awkward...

JEONGHYEON POV

...it's so awkward f*ck...i sigh before looking at 'her'.

"so..""so?"we said at the same time.

"go ahead""you go first"we said at the same time again.We stay silent for a second until she speaks.

"fine i'll talk first ahmm lee jeonghyeon"i looked at her waiting for her to finish.

"how do i say this ahmm"she said feeling nervous... she's so cute...i chuckled at her state.

"don't laugh at me you giant"she angrily said and i just shook my head.

"you sure you're going to talk first?"i said leaning at the teachers table.

"yes ugh f*ck it, i like you"she said but she mumbled something i didn't hear.

"what was that?"i asked her then started walking towards her.

"i said i like you"she finally said and looked away as i stand in front of her.

Y/N POV

..i finally said it now i need to wait for his answer..i'm nervous...i suddenly feel him lift my face making me look at him.

"you're pretty"he blurted out making me blush.

"stop"i said feeling shy and he laughed at me.

"Zhang y/n"he said and i close my eyes as i feel my heart beats fast..brace yourself y/n he's going to reject you..

"i like you too"i open my eyes when i feel his lips on mine, we stay like this for a minute then we parted.

feeling shy i punched his chest not too hard and leaned on him as he only chuckled.

"i thought you're going to reject me because you already have a girlfriend"i said looking up to him, he looked confused at first then smiled at me.

"you thought my cousin was my girlfriend?HAHAHAH"he said while laughing and i pinch him again making him hiss.

"you two are close to that's why i think like that"i said and pouted, he pinched my cheeks.

"she thinks that we're cute together since the day you two met"he said as he leaned again but stopped when someone coughed behind him, We looked at the person and it was my brother.

"once is enough leejeong"we laughed as he said that and walked out of the room.We bumped into his cousin and she looked down on our hands then up to us.

"congrats to the two of you"she hugged me as she said that making me smile.

"you take care of her very well or else"she threatened leejeong making us laugh.

we walked out of the building and made our way to his car, I bid my goodbye to my brother and his friends then went inside.

"so?"he started and i told him to go to my favorite cafe first.I looked at him while he drove.

"i love you"i said to him and he looked at me for a second then looked in front.

"i love you too"he said and we stayed silent on the way there.

...getting his attention is worth it... he's finally mine..

NOTES . . . i am utterly in love with park hanbin for absolutely no reason :( such an amazing man

park hanbin likes to pretend.

he's always one to be happy, to smile, even when he's necessarily not. hanbin doesn't like it when people worry about him, so he decides to pretend everything's okay because the idea of other people worrying about him bothers him.

he'd rather be the one to worry about others, he doesn't want others to take care of him, he'd prefer for that not to happen.

hanbin likes to think that he's good at hiding his true emotions, even with the sometimes worrying looks he gets from his group mates, he doesn't say anything in the slightest bit.

the only thing really helping hanbin is that he's keeping up this façade.

there are many times when hanbin wanted to quit, to collapse onto the floor and never wake up, but he has to keep a brave face for the rest of his members. they look up to him, see him as their leader, it'd be selfish of him to quit because then he'd discourage everyone else, everyone else who was working so hard to make sure they don't get a harsh scolding from the dance instructor.

hanbin hates when he hears the rest of the group get scolded, but then hears;

"wow, hanbin, your perfect!"

"you should all follow in hanbin's footsteps".

"you have everything an idol needs, you should be debuting soon".

hanbin always feels his heart tighten whenever those words are spoken, because they don't help him at all. they're backhanded, he hates how those words shade his group mates, the people he's known for almost four years now, he hates that these people call him perfect when he isn't, it pisses him off how even with all he's done, he still feels like a failure.

even if hanbin is perfect, even if he has everything an idol needs, he doesn't feel like it. it's hard to feel like you are anything in a company like wakeone, where the only people who care for you are your close friends, no one in the company has really cared about their little group ever since that one manger who used to sneak them snacks after practice left.

hanbin doesn't know how he manages everything without bursting into tears about all of the stuff stressing him out.

there are so many times where hanbin just wants to break down, to sob. there are so many times when he has to hold back his tears, he gets so scared thinking about the future of the group, how they probably won't debut even with how hard they're trying.

but hanbin has to keep up a brave face for the rest of his members.

he doesn't wanna discourage them, especially junghyun and jihoo, they're still in school, they're kids, he has to take care of them more than the others, because they're the youngest.

he wants them to have hope.

even if he necessarily doesn't.

to be fair, it's hard to have faith in a company like wakeone. the company doesn't care about them, clearly, as long as they can make money, they don't care.

which is why their first choice was to cancel their debut and throw them into a survival show.

hanbin knew wakeone wouldn't be responsible, he knew they'd do something careless and simply say; "were not gonna debut you guys, anymore".

but a survival show? and an mnet one.

they always had this planned.

hanbin remembers everything. the sighs, the groans, the looks of disappointment from everyone else as they realized they had to wait even longer to debut after all they've done.

and now they all probably won't even debut together.

hanbin's shoulder slump, another wave of disappointment washing over him.

all of their hard work, still not rewarded.

"can you believe it? a survival show? that's what they thought was the best option" minseok scoffs as he folds his laundry, a 'tsk' escapes jeonghyeon's lips.

"it's just another way to make millions of dollars, just like all the other survival shows".

"all we have to do is sacrifice everything else we've done before" y/n states seriously, his leg bouncing up and down as he bites his inner cheek.

hanbin stays silent, which is honestly pretty abnormal. even taerae is talking more than him, and taerae usually goes quiet during conversations like this.

he's stressed, tired, worn out, he's practiced too much these days, he feels himself disassociating more and more during conversations with his group mates.

everything has simply become too much for him these past few days.

"i'm not doing your laundry, jeonghyeon!"

"why can't you just be nice, y/n?"

taerae laughs, hiding his mouth behind his hand as minseok simply sighs, used to those two and their constant bickering.

hanbin gives a fond smile at the two, even in a situation where they feel insanely hopeless, his group mates will always find a way to cheer him up, even unconsciously.

y/n nudges jeonghyeon, making the boy whine as he clings onto taerae, sticking his tongue out at him. he taps hanbin, making him jump.

"what?"

"everything okay?"

hanbin blinks, nodding as a fake smile comes to his face. "i'm fine.. just tired".

y/n hums, letting out a small 'ah'. he looks like he doesn't believe hanbin, but he doesn't say anything about it if he actually does.

"take it easy, okay?"

i wish i could..

hanbin smiles, a pained one at that, but he still smiles. he sighed and clasps his hands together, wanting to just walk away. "it's already nine o'clock, junghyun and jihoo should be going to sleep now".

he doesn't say anything more, he just gets up and walks out of the laundry room, leaving his other 02 liners there.

y/n narrows his eyes, watching as he walks away.

hanbin jolts up.

his breath is unsteady, and his eyes are watery, as if he'll burst into tears any minute then. he simply just sits for a second, catching his breath, as of he'd just run a marathon even though he did nothing which should be taking away his breath.

he closes his eyes, but then quickly opens them because he just can't.

every time he closes his eyes he's reminded of what was in that horrific dream..

it's been a while since hanbin's had a nightmare. they were pretty bad when he was a kid, then got a little more manageable when he was in his teens.

but that was— that was horrible.

it's like hanbin's mind is purposefully playing tricks on him, trying to convince him that it's all his fault and that his friends aren't okay.

his breath hitches as his mind goes to thoughts of his friends not being okay. he quickly looks to the side, but taerae, minseok, and jeonghyeon are all peacefully sleeping in their beds, okay.

oh thank god..their okay, nothing bad happened hanbin, it was just a nightmare.

he pauses, taking in a deep breath as he tries to calm himself down, still struggling to keep his composure as he calms down from the nightmare he just had minutes prior.

he just sits there for a moment, bringing his knees to his chest as he listens. he listens to taerae's snores, minseok's tiny breaths, jeonghyeon's small mumbling.

hanbin then pauses.

y/n.

where the hell is y/n?

that's who was missing, hanbin looks to his bed, but it's empty, he's not there, he's not there.

hanbin panics, anxiety immediately rising. he feels like he's overreacting, but at the same time, his mind is racing with horrible thoughts.

he's probably okay hanbin, your just thinking too much into it, all you had was a nightmare.

but what if he isn't?

hanbin desperately tries to ignore the voice in his head as he slips out of the bed, tired, stressed, and worried.

y/n is okay, hanbin, he's okay, he's probably just getting water! no need to worry!

are you sure about that?

hanbin keeps trying to reassure himself, but it seems that his bad thoughts are outweighing any good ones he might be having.

he clears his throat, hands getting sweaty as he feels his eyes start welling up with tears.

he doesn't even know why he's getting overly emotional, he just is. everything is just horrible, he feels like he can't manage anything.

he tries so hard to put on a brave face for everyone else, but everything is just piling up on him and he feels like he's about to breakdown.

he wipes his tears before they can fall, and as he walks forward, he bumps into a figure.

"oh i'm sorry" y/n's soft voice greets hanbin, and said boy let’s put a soft sigh. the younger blinks, eyes widening as he sees the tears threatening to fall down hanbin's place. "hanbin, honey, what happened?"

hanbin closed his eyes, small tears falling down his cheek as y/n moves his thumb to wipe them. "y/n, i'm sorry" he whispers, he can't muster up an actual voice to speak.

"what— why are you sorry?"

"because i.." hanbin pauses, his eyes shift as he sighs in disappointment. "i can't be brave, and i can't constantly be okay, even with how much i try and it's frustrating me—"

y/n frowns at his words, his expression turning into one of sympathy. he wraps his arm around hanbin, who simply melts into his touch. "okay, calm down".

hanbin sniffles, and y/n wipes the remaining of his tears. the younger sighs, the frown stuck to his face as he sees hanbin try his best to not start crying again. "what happened?"

"i had a nightmare" hanbin begins, swallowing the lump in his throat. "all of you guys got hurt, and i panicked when i saw you weren't there because i thought something bad happened".

hanbin takes in a deep breath, finally looking up at y/n. he bites his bottom lip, hoping he didn't say anything wrong.

"there's nothing wrong with that".

"hm?"

"hanbin, sometimes it's okay to not be okay" he states, and hanbin shifts up as y/n takes his hand. "you don't have to constantly put up a 'happy' attitude, your allowed to sad, mad, frustrated, we'd all understand, you work hard, it's not like it's abnormal".

"but.." hanbin pauses, squeezing y/n's hands for comfort. "it's.. i wanna be a good leader, i don't wanna discourage anyone, i have to—"

"hanbin" y/n whispers, cutting into his sentence. "it's okay, you don't have to constantly pretend to be okay, you shouldn't have to feel like you need to hide how you truly feel".

hanbin bites his inner cheek, y/n isn't done talking yet. "that's not being a bad leader, you already are a good leader, whoever tells your not, clearly has no idea what your talking about".

at the words, hanbin gives a small smile, they somehow calm his nerves, and y/n brushes his hair out of his face. "i like your smile".

hanbin chuckles, looking away as his face goes red. "really?"

"yes, and your dimples" y/n states, poking his cheek as hanbin laughs and turns away once again.

y/n opens the door, guiding hanbin into their shared room and to his bed. hanbin pauses, and y/n raises an eyebrow.

"what?"

"i.. i can't go back to sleep".

y/n clicks his tongue, and hanbin sits on his bed sighing. he watches as y/n reaches towards his own nightstand and takes out his phone, scrolling through it, like he was looking for something.

"here you go" hanbin's eyes flicker down to his phone, and y/n takes out his earphones as he plugs them into the phone. "to help you sleep".

y/n shifts forward, helping hanbin put them on himself. "just listen to this".

hanbin blinks, listening as seasons by wave to the earth begins playing through the earphones. he feels extremely loved, and y/n smiles as he notices hanbin relax.

"thank you" hanbin mumbles, a smile coming to his face as y/n just nods, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

"don't worry about the two youngest" y/n reminds him. "i'll wake them up in the morning, you get your sleep okay?"

hanbin seems to want to hesitate, but y/n gives him a 'you better not disagree' look, and he nods.

"good night, hanbin".

"good night, y/n".

for once, hanbin can sleep comfortably.
