Crisis

The Tower can be a devastating card to draw as it heralds a time of severe crisis, total upheaval, or an utter failure—often of your own making. You have built your tower on unstable ground, and because of that, everything has fallen to pieces and very little is salvageable. For Usagi, her Tower moment occurs in the Sailor Stars arc of the manga. Usagi Stands at the edge of the Galaxy Cauldron, Chaos has merged with the Cauldron. She alone is faced with a choice: destroy Chaos and the Cauldron, an act that will end all war and conflict but also ends rebirth and new life—thus in time ending the universe; or she can preserve the Cauldron, an act that will allow for new life, new creation,—but also preserves Chaos and allows conflict to continue. This is an impossible choice that cannot be avoided.

Upright: The Tower refers to a sudden disaster, a life-altering upheaval, and the suffering that brings. It is time to face this disaster head on, sort through the rubble that remains in the aftermath and learn how to avoid this pitfall in the future.

Reversed: The Tower warns you may be avoiding a desperately needed change out of fear. You can try to postpone the inevitable all you wish, but it will still need to happen. Often, delaying to face The Tower in your life will only make the inevitabile change more painful.
