Indulgent disjointed lore time

Now, I’m writing this half-sleepy and already in bed, so you know this is going to be premium.

Antaxis (the little guy (actually quite large in Mirrors’ averages)) and Desastre live in their nice nook in The Wandering Contagion. It’s roomy in a rocky, sceptic kind of way, a real steal in Plague real estate. They fought a few rotting hounds for it. Passersby highly recommend travelers in the neighborhood to stop by for a visit and see what they’ve made of the place.

Anyway, they’re the two primary inhabitants. Or… two *of* them, anyway. They spend the most time actually inside the place, really. Antaxis is the founder—a tired hunter who gave up the pursuit for something he always wanted: some rest—and Viudremesh, a sturdy red Obelisk with the metal to boot, is the clan’s protector and resource logistics. When she’s not sat down out in the dappled shade of the perpetually struggling trees around the den entrance, she’s accounting. Usually with the same look on her face. Though practically born into a suit of armor, she finds equal peace in crunching those numbers as she does the skulls of her enemies. And she’s all out of enemies.

17. Who protects the clan? Who is in charge of battling/guarding?

There are three dragons that handle combat and guarding: Viudremesh, the protector and friend of Antaxis when he first settled down, and her protégés, Choppa and Ingol.

35. Does your clan specialize in anything?

The clan is self-sustaining, making money by doing odd-jobs for nearby clans. They’re known in the local area as quiet, but kind, and open to any visitors—especially those with a task that needs doing.

51. Who eats all the food?

Hatchlings, skulking tenants who don’t seem to interact with many, and the Obelisk apprentices.

Companions, like animals except with a sapience to them, an understanding of their dragon companions like the one onto themselves.

5. Is the clan spiritual and highly loyal to their deity? Are they indifferent?

The clan acknowledges Plaguebringer’s message and authority, but is lax on involving her in anything other than clan expansion grants and party themes.

10. Was the leader chosen? Were they elected? An heir to the throne? Or maybe they achieved something within the clan?

Antaxis is the clan’s quiet and somewhat softspoken leader. He founded it through the simple decision to settle down and trade in the nomadic lives of Mirrorkind. His executive decisions go through Viudremesh and Desastre, who help him with running the clan, though there’s no strict hierarchy.

12. How does your clan view the Beastclans? Who handles Beastclan relations?

The lair doesn’t delve into Beastclan issues, and gives any nearby settlements or caravans ample space, as well as a declaration of peace if questioned.

Does your clan have any Beastclan members living among the ranks?

No. While Beastclan are allowed to come in to inspect the venue (so long as they proclaim no hostility), take shelter, ask for directions, or a have a warm meal, they generally do not stay very long.
