Steven Universe AU I made!!

Basically the entire diamond order is switched, meaning black diamond is the highest, followed by red and violet, and white diamond being the newest/lowest

White diamond is cheerful and optimistic but has awful mood swings. Since she’s every color of the light, she tends to have emotions that can change within an instant, causing awful outbursts. Has the power to heal gems, but typically the regenerations sometimes look off colored from the rest of the gem.

Violet diamond is extremely quiet and rarely speaks unless she feels extreme emotion. Typically isolates herself from others in an attempt to not hurt them, but this causes her stress and makes her more likely to harm others anyway. Her power instead of making people cry is to make other gems have black ooze spill from their mouth and sometimes eyes. When this ooze spills from her, it can “shatter” gems from the sheer strength of it.

Red diamond is extremely calculated and bases things off of logic, and discards any and all emotion when it comes to decisions. Typically only expresses rage, and when shes angry, hundreds of gems can get shattered. Otherwise, she expresses no emotion and only does this based on the benefit for herself and her colony. Her power causes chains that burn at degrees even gems can’t stand to wrap around the person affected and paralyze them, before destroying (but not shattering) them.

Black diamond is extremely condescending and tends to point out the flaws in everything, especially in violet and red. Is extremely insecure, especially due to how much praise white got for being every color of the light. She felt imperfect and wanted others to feel how she did. Her power is to take control of gems physical forms (the same way white does in su) but instead of them being puppets that mimic her movements, they’re basically mannequins. She poses them to show off every one of their flaws and make herself look better, and is known to have a collection of gems that she believed were too good and needed to be corrupted. Tells others she does it for their own good. Over time, the gems under her control melt away and disintegrate, becoming shattered.

Violet Diamond was unknowingly created around the Reef. For decades she swam the waters alone until she found the pearls. Some of the pearls where allowed to have free time and play in the water. Violet would swim and play with them in a smaller form. She would rescue any pearl that fell in the water by accident. When those in charge found out about her the Diamonds were called in. After endangering a pearl Violet appeared. She was convinced to go to Homeworld with them. She joined their ranks, but remained proactive over the pearls. She gained the nickname “The Protector of Pearls” after damaging an emerald for slapping their pearl. She longs for the water and often jumps out of her ships when she is above oceans to swim. She was the youngest of the Diamonds until Pink, who she took in as a little sister. She gave Pink the nickname Little Diamond. Violet is able to shrink o the size of a beetle or grow larger than White. Though she only grows to that hight in the water or when it’s truly necessary. She often stays a few feet taller than Pink.

Hi sorry I need to do some more Pokemon posting bc this is the funniest shit. the cute-looking Pokèmon TCG series is making "TM10" part of its branding. Like, TM10 from the games - its the TM for the move Hidden Power, thats cute! Its reflecting the main character discovering herself in the same way the move works in the game, what a cute little detail!

Except uh. Just one problem.

Game Freak in all their brilliance removed Hidden Power from the franchise four years ago in Generation 8* and its still not able to be used in Scarlet and Violet. Its not just that you cant teach it to Pokèmon anymore, you straight up cannot use the attack even if you trade in Pokèmon from older games who know it. Its like a banned technique.

So then that begs the question – if the TCG show is gonna be referencing TM10 this much, but TM10 *isn't* Hidden Power anymore, surely that means TM10 is another similarly inspiring attack - Stored Power, or Calm Mind, or Smart Strike?

Well, depending on if its Gen 8 or 9, I hope the kids will have fun Discovering Their Own Magical Leaf and/or Discovering Their Own Ice Fang. Truly inspiring words. love how well managed this franchise is
