I like how Vale is the demon that lives in the heads of loads of riders like Biaggi and Stoner, but Marc is the only little demon that has ever managed to make a permanent home in Vale's head.
kind of romantic. if you think about it.

The Outsider (2018)
“In life, sometimes we fight the current, other times we go with the flow of the river.”
In 1954, nine years after the Pacific War, former US Marine Captain, Nick Lowell (Jared Leto) was arrested for petty crime and ends up in the same prison in Osaka filled with yakuza criminals. His life changed when he saved Kiyoshi (Tadanobu Asano) from certain death.
Indebted to him, Kiyoshi, took him into his Yakuza family, serving the Shiromatsu (Min Tanaka), a once formidable clan which is growing weak due to the rising clan in Kobe that is vying for power in Osaka. Nick works hard to prove his worth and loyalty to the clan.
Although, he eventually earned the respect and trust of Shiromatsu, another member, Orochi (Kippei Shiina) grew jealous of Nick and most especially after learning that his former lover, Miyu (Shioli Kutsuna) is now interested in Nick. Things start to get dicey from here on.
A story of loyalty and betrayal, as various factions within and beyond the Yakuza family clan wants control of the Shiromatsu and it’s territory of Osaka. A story of power struggle against the backdrop of a country rebuilding itself from the war and destruction of World War II.
If you love Yakuza genre films like Tokyo Vice, Black Rain and Yakuza and the Family, this one is for you. It is surprisingly good but I only manage to watch it now in 2023. The one thing I feel is that it would be better if they made it into a longer series like Tokyo Vice instead of a one off movie.

[ so if you ever watch a regency-era period drama and the Slightly Rakish Army Man Character appears and he’s wearing a red uniform with yellow facings, he belongs to the South Essex, a regiment that does not historically exist and was created for the Sharpe series....
anyway so what im trying to say is that any period drama with south essex uniforms automatically exists in the sharpe universe so jot that down ]

Now that I have watched the show Big Shot, I am ready to present my list of favorite sports media to the world (which is very few, as I am not a sports invested person in general):
Miracle Season (2018) dir. Sean McNamara
The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe
We Are the Tigers by Preston Max Allen
Big Shot (Disney Plus TV series/show) created by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey, and Brad Garrett
I actually quite like these four pieces of media and I headcanon them having crossovers.
For example, all of them are about different sports- volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, and basketball. Imagine the stories and the character dynamics you could create.
Okay that's all for now. Just wanted to share.

Vice (2018)
When you are a bad person making a bad product, you can make it about bad people being bad — that way you can call anyone who criticises it a bad person who loves bad people. A bunch of rich-arse yankees gathered together, took a rich-arse yankee and decided to depict him as a literature hitler. Oscars are literally a joke. A scam. A nazi propaganda that pretends there are no other countries…
