They are gentle creatures. And many are very endangered.” #don't get me wrong here; I love this scene a lot. LWJ's string technique is one of my favoyrite things. #We do get a fair amount of LWJ fighting but I always loved how the theme of strings comes into play. #There is actually a lot to unpack with LWJ being associate with 'strings'. #The musicianship: Of dedication and rigor in one's practice. #The tension between following along a path or composing your own way forwards (playing what has been written vs composing) #A string is a tightly coiled/taunt entity; The same tension that makes it sing so beautifully can be it's downfall if pushed too hard. #And as a non-musical string - something that binds. Be it to his sect and family or how he binds his fate to WWX - #LWJ cannot exist without his binds. It is not something which ties him down though. It keeps him together. #And he himself *is* a bind. He 'ties wwx down' in ways that are initially negatively viewed ('come to gusu' - feels like: come be trapped) #But later it is shown how (despite being introduced as a free spirit) WWX truly wants to be bound to something and someone. #Marriage is a bind he wants. He wants to be tied and grounded by LWJ. #It's starting to sound like innuendo. Let's call his fondness for being literally tied up smart thematic writing. #Finally. Sex scenes that are important to the plot and characters

Spitballs another ref complete, soma!! She is the one I ship mainly with fang in Regular undertale setting and in her Canon og setting with Makoto. Shes just a lovely lil siren out to have a good time :D and she love her hubband and wife allot.

About soma below!

- she's a fire demon/siren hybrid. She's not meant to look like that for a siren. So she's considered "ugly" to siren standards and thata why her had is broken, sirens tried to bash her head when she was a baby to kill her, thinking she was a bad omen.

- she can turn ablaze like fire, and spit oil like ink that increases the intensity of it to a point that she can make fire happen underwater and it is difficult to put out. If she inks, and sets it ablaze. Consider that an explosion waiting to happen.

- Soma doesn't like using her fire powers as they hurt her allot due to her sensitive skin, her hybrid powers sadly are not stable.

- she used to have horns! But those opened cracks on her cranium are the result of them being gone :,)

- her father is the king of firedemons, and she has no idea what that even means LMAO

-Soma was raised by Orca sirens, hence her mimicing their colors. She can click and whistle like an Orca and dolphin and does this frequently to lure dolphins to kill and eat them.

- she is extremely aggressive to male sirens and prefers they stay away due to past experiences, unless they show an ounce of kindness to her. She will take that as mate worthy and try to court with them (the mistake fang did.). However she has a immense curiosity of the land beasts and humans, finding them very interesting.

-Soma is really clingy and sweet once she's out of her shell. She does like making friends and will do her best to learn their mannerisms to not make them uncomfortable! She knows her customs are different to those on land.

-her tentacles can shift to legs when she's on land, she's a little wobbly but it works PFNG

-Soma has a beak like teeth and three tongues. Her venom is similar to that of a blue ringed octopus but multiplied to her size, she can take down even the largest sirens with it and tear their throats or stomachs open with her mouth. She's genuinly horrifying and WILL make example of someone that tries to hurt her partners or babies

-Soma has two babies with makoto and fang! But in undertale au, it's only one baby with fang.

-in undertale au, soma is simply a siren monster that lives in the surface, most stories where she meets folks is because they either went to the surface or she accidentally fell to the underground through a stream that led her there.

The color of their clothes varies, but the leggings and cardigan stay. Their feet are meant to be more digitigrade- they remind me of a jerboa mouse.

They have Permanent UwU Face; their mouth is just shaped that way. They don't usually show their ears; they're usually hidden under his hair. If he shows his ears around you a lot then he trusts you. And yes, the ears are Pan colors-

Grem is almost always up to Shenanigans, or sitting and listening to his two favorite people hyperfixate on something. They like tea and flowers and rain and tackling people as a love language.

i generated a color palette, and was like "ooh this looks nice" so have these two! meet Checker and Olive (respectively, the little one is olive because he has an olive button on his chest)

they are something i like to call jesters (although not actual humans in jester outfits, they're just jester creatures essentially) but since jester is an already taken term, we call them bouncies :] (i once called them yesters because they had a world of their own and their world celebration day would be called "yesterday", haha funny, but i stopped calling them that)

bouncie is not an official species term, but i'd greatly appreciate being tagged if you make one! they kinda remind me of doctor suess tbh,,

isekai is such a popular genre right now, and its taken a clear shift from 'i got isekai'd and now im a fantasy hero!' to 'i got isekai'd and now i get to live a quiet and happy life in the countryside/as a librarian/pharmacist' and obviously a lot of it is just......someone wrote this to kill time and draw boobies, but Parallel World Pharmacy was so good???? i cried so many times, and i love the shift in tone the genre has gained with stuff like that

#Maybe because i wish for the same thing but only if my dog and two best friends can come too #but that one and grace of the gods is just devastatingly gentle #its not a power fantasy its just im tired and hurt anf i want to thrive instead of survive because our society doesnt make me happy #but someone or soemthing takes mercy and kindness on them #but that one was especially profound with regards to his sister while maintaining the control of 'end this disease with a physical punch' #and we lack that kind of control we want that kind of control over literally anything in this life #also it was so pretty #not unique but still very soft visually speaking and funny but not taking away from the content #and again the characters are kind #dont get me wrong id totally like reincarnated as a slime too but thats mostly for the non gendered shapeshifting #also dragons and i wanna befriend the orcs and wolves #but id probably end up a goblin in that one.... #anyway isekai when done well is so healing even when it has almost no plot #i love intense anime but god some of the gentle and beautiful ones are all i ever need #and i crave fantasy so much i adore magic and creatures and demons so much and the softness of some of these plots #but idk that one grabbed me by the throat and slammed me into the bricks #i didnt actually like ascendance of a bookworm all that much i kond of found parts of it annoying and i didnt love the artstyle #but i did absolutely love the fact she was disabled whether they called it disability illness or magic #she was for all intents and purposes disabled in the same way i am and it was heartening to see how much love they had for her #and how good her family was ngl i cried about her father and i wish mine came even a little close to that but thats a DIFFERENT topic #dont ask me about yakuzas guide to babysitting #i dont like the realizations that one gave me #but the more that come out in this genre the better it is and the more representation will drop into it hopefully in all directions #for gender and sexuality as well as disabilities #because this subgenre is so well equipped for disabilities especially because its soft and slow and so full of love #ranking of kings isn't isekai but i think it could open door for fantasy in general too because its a light genre even when its serious #its just ...pure and light and ready to welcome hardships without trauma #the characters are always kind and the setting is new and magic affords accommodations other genres dont #magical mobility aids that dont erase the disability will always be infinitely more interesting to me than heavy machinery that #that you have to strap into but that also means finding other accommodations too like having bojji read lips instead of getting an implant
