The different Spider-Men (mostly from Into the Spiderverse) as people at a family reunion

Original Spider-Man from Miles’s universe is the dad, Peter B Parker is the queer uncle, Spider Noir is the fresh out of jail aunt who has had like 5 glasses of wine since he got here, Penni is that one cousin who no one can say no to, Miles is the son who is just so done with everything, Spider Ham is the stray that no one really knows how it got here but hey he’s not tearing up the house so it’s fine, Gwen is the friend Miles begged to come along so that he didn’t have to do this alone, Tom Holland Spider-Man is the cousin who just spends the entire time talking to his friends/helping Penni build a Lego set, Tobey Maguire Spider-Man is the uncle who just wants to sleep, Andrew Garfield Spider-Man is the oldest cousin who spends the entire time talking shit about the adults and then goes for a walk and just doesn’t come back but nobodies worried cause he does this every year, and Ultimate Spider-Man Peter is the middle cousin trying to cause as much chaos and drama as he can without getting in trouble

Few more details explained

Since in my AU I combine the best from two shows(TSSM and USM), I need to explain more things.

Let's start with Eddie/Venom from TSSM and Flash Thompson/Agent Venom.

I hope we all remember that Eddie got into hospital for mentally ill in TSSM after his dramatic Break up with Venom. (That scene where he says hate is the only reason why symbiote loves him is heartbreaking). However! Symbiote escaped succesfully, leaving Spidey only with broken Eddie and slight gut feeling that they'll meet again soon. And they did. While symbiote was searching for new perfect host, it stumbles upon Flash Thompsom. He and Eddie, they're quite similar. Blonde hair, blue eyes, muscles, hate Peter. But symbiote did NOT expected a plot twist like: Flash hates Peter, likes Spidey, therefore symbiotes attempt to posses blondie jock is unsuccesfull and now it's attached to him. That's how Agent Venom became a thing in my AU.

MJ, Gwen and Harry. It's not hard to exlain, basically it's all the same like in USM, except for Gwen(obv cuz she wasn't there) so what's it like in my AU? Gwen in this my universe is like Sayori or just deredere type of character, best friends with Pete since childhood and that's all, nothing more, just friends. Poor girl in friendzone and is kinda jealous of MJ since she did got that kiss in the end of the day back then when they were 12. Harry is the only one who knows and he supports her in any way he can, since, well, Harry and MJ aren't that close so Gwen is pretty much his only friend.

About Liz, yeah, no, she's just a temporary character, Pete's gf for little time, nothing much. As suddenly she appeared in their friend circly, that suddenly she dissapeared out of it. Hobie Brown? I liked him in the TSSM, so he just casually exists in this universe, not exactly participating in anything here, except for the part where he's important character for Flash (Yeah, no, I don't believe that Flash was a meanie only to Peter, in USM he was also Rhino's bully, buy since it's my AU and Rhino here is a grown man, Hobie will be one of Flash's victims of bullying)

Alex Summers and Gwenpool being on Champions. I thought Alex would hate to be a part of team where everyone will know him only as Scott's younger brother, so instead of joining X-Men - he joins Champions, making everyone happy that a mutant is with them(he's the only mutant here, except for Gwen.) And Gwen? She just tags along from time to time out of boredom, and as dangerous she can be, everyone still happy to have her here! Just...gotta keep an eye on her and the guns she's carrying. Champions are even sometimes jealous that she's with X-Men as well, even though it happens rarely.

The Lizard/Kurt Connors, Electro, Doc Ock and Norman Osborn. They are closely tied to each other and since in TSSM Electro was working for Connors, but in my universe Connors is the one that was from USM so then how supposed things work? Easy-peasy. Lizard thing never happened and Kurt Connors isn't related to these three at all, except for Doc Ock since they were homies in college, but that's all. Now, Norman at first wanted an army of Spider-Men(I don't remember for what reason) so during this period of Norman's life, he has Ock under his control, and Ock is a shy fella, tries his best to satisfy all Norman's demands and The Accident happens. What about Electro? Oh, his Accident happened before Ock's and Norman didn't really cared about it so he just asked his guards to make sure Max Dillon/Electro will never ever try to return to them, and whole "Give me the cure!" thing then happened to Osborn instead of Connors, but he was lucky to be saved by Spidey.

What exactly is going on in Spider-Man books I stopped reading Superhero books four years ago.

Peter and MJ were dating again and Peter was planning to propose! Yay! Then editorial fucked Nick Spencer's run right into the ground and derailed those plans, before relaunching ASM and putting former USM editor Zeb Wells on writing duties. Suddenly there was a timeskip in which MJ had been trapped in an alternate dimension where she married some asshole named Paul and now she is no longer a character but a living plot device to advance the stories of the men in the book, specifically Peter and Paul. Peter's dating Felicia again but she's also no longer a character. Peter is being written extremely unpleasantly, but ONLY in the Spider-Man books - everywhere else he pops up from Daredevil and Thor he's written very well, because Spider-Man editorial has made the Spider-books an extremely unattractive prospect for actual good writers (Chip Zdarsky has all but confirmed this).

Meanwhile Slott is SOMEHOW STILL AROUND pushing an obnoxious and superfluous character named Spider-Boy who is getting an ongoing for no good reason, and Ben Reilly is still evil because editorial doesn't know what else to do with him.

Web of Morality

-AU where MJ’s part of the group since childhood, Gwen is bitten by the spider, the symbiote is discovered sooner & Felicia decides to commit a heist sooner; four small changes that made everything different.

-MJ’s part of the group as a homage to USM & to balance out the ratio. 2 boys + 2 girls but also 2 science nerds + 2 theatre kids, making Harry feel less left out.

-(TW: very brief mention of past abusive parent)

-I will not stand for love triangles. Thus, MJ & Gwen are close, practically sisters. MJ’s the one who taught Gwen how to vent via drums & Gwen’s dad was the one who arrested MJ’s dad when he went too far.

-Naturally, after the powers kicked in, Gwen told MJ, who decided the best way to deal with this is to become a hero.

-Gwen is reluctant but after Peter loses Uncle Ben (maybe she could’ve saved him & spare Peter the pain) & her dad has a close call (another one of many, will the next one be his last?), she decides to become Spiderwoman.

-MJ is her girl in the chair, codename Jackpot.

-During summer break, Harry follows his dad out of town while MJ & Gwen claim to be doing their own thing (re: getting used to crimefighting), leaving Peter alone.

-He’s wandering outside, trying not to think abt the bills Aunt May failed to hide when he hears a commotion in the alley.

-The rest is a blur but at the end of it, he’s nursing a nasty shiner & being thanked by a pretty lady in a catsuit. Maybe he’s sporting a concussion too bcz when she asks what he wants in return, he says a hot dog but only if she eats with him.

-Maybe Felicia landed harder than she thought too bcz she finds herself on a rooftop with the kid, trying to make sure mustard doesn’t get on her gloves.

-Instead of calling the cops on her, Peter comes back just to hang out. A friendship is struck. One night, her grappling gun is damaged & Peter fixes it. The next night, he shows her a notebook full of gadget ideas.

-When someone tries to mug Peter, Felicia saves him if only so she could put his ass through basic training. It takes a lot of coaxing but soon, Peter & her have parkour races across rooftops.

-(If she lets Peter win a few, that’s for her to know.)

-Summer ends, school starts & Vulture strikes.

-Since Peter isn’t Spiderman, he has the time & space to question Vulture's vendetta against Norman. Gwen offhandedly mentions his ‘stealing my work’ rants, which she totally heard from her dad!

-Either way, the seed is planted. This leads to Peter & Harry meeting Otto, who does a double-take bcz Peter’s the spitting image of his old friend, Richard.

-Otto still has lingering fondness for his dad & enough conscience to admit the meeting between Adrian & Oscorp.

-Another seed of doubt is planted in the group’s mind sooner than canon. This seed leads to actions that naturally bring consequences.

-MJ & Gwen are determined to uncover more dirt but they can’t tell Harry & Peter what they’re doing, so the boys assumed they don’t care & snoop on their own. Both pairs make different discoveries.

-Gwen bumps into Black Cat at ESU labs & accidentally releases the symbiote while Peter deciphers a file left by his dad, revealing his research, reasons for leaving....and dying.

-In this AU, the symbiote is more neutral. Still feeds on emotions, but not strictly negative ones. Gwen’s emotions don’t interest it since her civilian life is much stabler. So, it slips onto Peter at school.

-Peter seeks out Felicia bcz he’s terrified that Norman will hurt Gwen if he goes to her dad. While parkouring to calm down, the symbiote reveals itself.

F: So that’s where the alien ooze went. P: YOU TRIED TO STEAL ALIEN OOZE?! F: It was business. P: You- wait....OH MY GOD I’M WEARING ALIEN OOZE!

-Then Harry calls to tell him that his dad’s freaking out bcz the alien ooze is gone & oh lord, Peter is wearing said ooze.

-He should return it-

.

-Return it to who? The company that stole another man’s life’s work? The company that got his & Eddie’s parents killed??

-Hell. Fucking. No.

-Once, Felicia joked that he was her sidekick. Resolve set, he asks if she’s willing to be his mentor.

-So now Gwen has to deal with her usual rogue gallery & the anti-hero Venom who’s deadset on ruining Norman Osborn.
