Add 1 more plant to the list of edible grasses cause I found out that corn sprouts/microgreens are not only edible but the kind I had tasted pretty sweet.

I haven't successfully grown my own yet but I've only tried a few kernals from my bird's seed mix and some popcorn I had lying around. I learned that some brands will heat treat the seeds to keep 'em from germinating. I'll just use fresh kernals or some plantable seeds whenever I get around to it.

I also successfully sprouted black oil sunflower seeds from my bird's mix. I haven't deciced if I sholud eat or plant them since there are only 5 that came up and I have more.

Oh! So essentially, I'm a combination of a horse (no clue what kind) and deer (I'm roe + fallow).

My head is a pretty even blend of both horse and deer, though my ears are a lot more deerlike, and I do have antlers (they're pretty small, and I haven't ever lost my velvet?). Speaking of antlers, mine never get to more than 6 inches, but they are palmate (like a fallow deer).

My neck is right between a horse and deer: not as bulky as a horse, but chonkier than a deer. I don't have a distinct mane per-se, but moreso longer fur on my neck (similar to how lions' manes blend into their fur, as opposed to how horse manes look separate).

Body-wise, I'm sort of a mix of a stockier, "coldblood" horse (I'm more Icelandic horse + Przewalski's horse in build) and a deer. I'm somewhat more deer-like in proportion (than a horse), but compared to a deer, I'm a bit (what's the word..) beefier? Though, my hooves are cloven.

My tail is similar to a Whitetail deer's tail, but a bit longer and slightly thinner in width.

My coat color changes by season, but I'm way whiter (haha) in winter, with the only brown fur being on and near my ears (look up "medicine hat horse") and some on my legs. In summer my whole front (including a good chunk of my legs) is brown, but I'm what horse people consider "bald faced", meaning my face is mostly white (I don't have a full face, it's only white on the top half).

Oh, and I have those freaky, blue-ass horse eyes.

I’m so good with dogs and by that I mean sometimes stray dogs let me pet them and follow me around and when two big fucking angry dogs tried to chase me down the street taking me for a piece of bitchmeat they forgot their pecking order of big louder animal scary and said “sorry mr alpha male” bc those bozos were foiled by the ol reliable fuckin uhhh stretch your arms out to look bigger and bark Louder trick like fucking amateurs. Hi! How do we know if we're a Therian?

Ever since I was little I've felt like I've had canine ears or a tail, and I used to refuse to walk on two legs when I was little; I've always felt extremely connected to canines and certain ungulates, and feel more at home in the mountains and fkrrests than anywhere else- and I just wanna know if I might be a Therian or not

well i mean.. that's an incredibly nuanced question, because therianthropy alone means lots of different things for lots of different people!!

like, the belief in reincarnation is already a big thing in my family - and i've also picked up that belief. the past lives that i know of that i still feel strongly attached to in this life are what i feel make me a therian. but it stems not from the past life itself, rather, how they make me feel..

i was always more wolf or dog or cow or penguin than child growing up, and it felt like an incremental part of me, really. even these days i'm extremely attached to the parts of me that are animal.

however, therianthropy doesn't even have to be a spiritual belief. it can also be a psychological thing. i am not super well versed in all forms of psychological therianthropy, but for us - we're also a system. there are parts of us that are animal through and through despite not actually having been one in any sort of past life. namely bats, chevrotain, stoats, cats ... that feeling of animality is still so fundamental to them, so they feel the term therian suits them as well.

it's not really something you have to meet requirements for, or anything anyone can tell you if you are objectively or not .. it's just a label that you can use so long as it describes how you feel about your alterhumanity. i'd say it helps to journal about your feelings, engage in meditative work, do zoological research on parts that stick out to you ... if you believe in spirituality at all there are also past-live regression guided sessions you can try. good luck on your journey!
