Thinking about how Sasuke got his father’s view on achieving power vs Personal bonds.

Even when he’s desperate to gain power that will allow him to kill Itachi, Sasuke refuses to do the one thing that Itachi flat out tells him will give him the power he seeks.

He refuses to kill Naruto, his closest bond

Which is exactly the stance Fugaku took when he refuses to fight Itachi.

Fugaku could have fought his son. He could have put his clan above his son and may have even gained new power having to kill his son (if he was able to)

But it wasn’t an option for Fugaku.

He realized what was happening and flat out refused to fight Itachi, because that is his son and no matter what happened he would not hurt him.

And Sasuke does the same thing. No matter what, Sasuke cannot kill Naruto. Something is always stopping him and he always redirects himself to find another path to power

Like his father, Sasuke will not break his bonds even when he so desperately wants to. His father continues to live on inside of him even years after his murder.

At first I've put Tajima in “doesn't seem straight but is” tier, but my lore expert friend told me “Tajima couldn't be straight - women didn't exist back in his day", and I was like “of course, silly me” and moved him down to “doesn't seems straight and isn't”.

She also suggested a separate tier for Itachi “fucks fish” or something, but I think this is the reason why he would lecture me how it is rude to assume someone's sexuality.

the worst thing about naruto online is that there are like three shisui units, and not a single fugaku or mikoto. two of indora, two of ashura, one each of hagoromo and hamura, and no kaguya (y'know, the actual final big bad of the whole fucking series???? hello????). a bunch of hashirama, a bunch of madara, way too many extremely annoying tobirama units, even an izuna, and not one mito.

A lot of people already talked about the symbolism behind Naruto and Sasuke's zodiac signs, how it follows the theme of "wind makes fire stronger and keeps it alive" but it also applies to other characters? Like, Team Seven is formed by Kakashi (Virgo), Naruto (Libra), Sasuke (Leo) and Sakura (Aries), and after Sasuke leaves, Yamato (Leo) and Sai (Sagittarius) join the team. Team Taka is formed by Sasuke (Leo), Suigetsu (Aquarius), Karin (Gemini) and Juugo (Libra), probably a reference to how he recruited them to help him achieve his revenge. Speaking of Sasuke's family, they also follow this pattern, Fugaku (Leo) married Mikoto (Gemini) and had Itachi (Gemini) and Sasuke (Leo). Also water zodiac signs are probably part of the symbolism, because water can put off fire. Both Orochimaru (Scorpio) and Kabuto (Pisces) are threats to Sasuke (Leo).

Like what are they going to do? Thinking again about Mikoto and Fugaku fully accepting Itachi's 'need' to kill them and the whole of Uchiha philosophies.

Because over and over people outside of the Uchiha clan have said that the Uchiha are dangerous because they're unwilling to compromise on their philosophies but Mikoto and Fugaku's attitudes towards learning their son has decided to kill them (and the fact that Itachi felt able to tell them in the first place) proves this wrong and arghhhhh... it's all so terribly interesting.
