Serious serial loser.
Tumblr media
December 12, 2022
Donald J. Trump's status as an abject loser in the business world is well documented. His failed ventures go back more than thirty years and include his numerous hotel and casino bankruptcies, the folding of the New Jersey Generals, and the fraudulent Trump University. Plus, Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump Mortgage, Trump Magazine, the list goes on and on. Between his father and Apprentice producer Mark Burnett, Trump managed to acquire some $840 million. Which he parlayed into an estimated $1.3 billion in debt. Verdict: Loser businessman.
Likewise, Trump is a habitual loser in the courts. Most glaringly in his lawsuits to overturn the 2020 election results (61 losses out of 62 challenges). And in the jury trial that found his company guilty of criminal tax fraud and other crimes. Add to this his many unsuccessful attempts to get courts to grant him total and lifelong immunity, allow him to retain the top secret documents he stole, and keep his cronies and co-conspirators from giving evidence against him. Verdict: Loser litigant/defendant.
Of course, he's also been a loser at the ballot box. Not once, but twice. In both his presidential runs, he lost the popular vote (though he did win the electoral vote once). In 2016, Hillary Clinton received 48.18% of the popular votes (6,58,53,514) to his 46.09% (6,29,84,828). Four years later, Biden beat him 51.3% (81,282,916) to 46.9% (74,223,369). Verdict: Loser political candidate.
Recently, anticipating a midterm election "red wave," Trump tried to demonstrate his power over the Republican Party as a kingmaker by endorsing roughly 300 MAGA candidates for offices from US Senator to county commissioner. As usual, he displayed his instinctive predisposition to lose. Here's a partial list of the candidates he backed and the races they lost.
Kari Lake — Governor (AZ)
Lee Zeldin — Governor (NY)
Tudor Dixon — Governor (MI)
Darren Bailey — Governor (IL)
Doug Mastriano — Governor (PA)
Leora Levy — US Senator (CT)
Mehmet Oz — US Senator (PA)
Don Bolduc — US Senator (NH)
Adam Laxalt — US Senator (NV)
Blake Masters — US Senator (AZ)
Herschel Walker — US Senator (GA)
Kim Crockett — Secretary of State (MN)
Mark Finchem — Secretary of State (AZ)
Kristina Karamo — Secretary of State (MI)
And we haven't even mentioned the utter fiasco of his presidency. Or his failure to overthrow the government by force. According to his niece Mary, Trump was taught from childhood that the very worst thing in life was to be a loser. Ironically, in whatever he tried, that's exactly what he's been.

One America News is a Fox wannabe. Right-wing propagandists trying to be more Fox than Fox. Criminals, traitors, and domestic terrorists. Hopefully Smartmatic will sue them into oblivion.

You can tell a lot about people by the company they keep.
Kanye West (AKA: Ye) had been a frequent visitor to the Trump White House and to Mar-a-Lago. A couple of years ago Kanye had dinner with Trump and Nazi Nick Fuentes.
KanYe has been a Hitler fanboy for years. Additional evidence of his devotion to Der Führer was revealed this week in court in California. Apparently he has his own Christian school called Donda Academy – which he runs like a Nazi.
In a text message to the former employee, Trevor Phillips, Ye compared himself to Hitler — “minus the gas chambers” — and appeared to simulate masturbation during a one-on-one meeting in a Southern California hotel room where the musician watched “The Batman” on mute, according to the 47-page suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.  The suit accuses Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, of calling out Black people in a discriminatory manner and praising the Nazi leader, pushing employees to do renovations without permits and telling employees they could be fired for being "fat," the suit says. He temporarily stiffed workers after Adidas cut ties with the rapper over his antisemitic comments, when bank accounts at the rapper's clothing brand, Yeezy, had been frozen, the suit says.
Of course he's corrupt like his buddy Donald (source of the name "Donda"?).
Ye “gloated” to staff at Yeezy, his fashion brand, and Donda Academy, the rapper’s Los Angeles-area school, about using $2 million of the school’s budget for a trip to Paris, according to the suit.
You have to wonder about the sort of parents who would send their kids to a hellhole like Donda Academy. Thankfully, the "school" closed last year.
During a Sunday service at the school in May, in front of dozens of people, Ye angrily told Phillips he was fired over an apparent issue with a garden at the school, according to the suit. When a tearful Phillips told Ye that his daughter attended Donda and that he was grateful for the job because of a potentially serious medical condition, Ye allegedly responded with an expletive-laden “tantrum” in which the musician disparaged Phillips and his child, according to the suit. Ye then allegedly told Phillips: “I was going to punch you in the face.”
Trump stated that he want to be dictator on Day One and he hangs around with crazed Nazis. Don't say you haven't been warned.

Yooooo Cali is making moves to get Dur Orange Fuhrer off our ballot!
Granted nothing will be set til the New Year/we see what happens with Colorado's version but nonetheless I'm so proud of my state!
Aha, so I saw. Apparently there are also lawsuits underway in 16 other states, which.... I'm still 100% sure we will have to endure another election with him (GOD WHY NO GOD PLEASE), but it sure would be FUCKING NICE if even a few of them worked, especially in purple states. Obviously he wasn't going to win CA or CO anyway, but. Yeah.

Under the radar.
Tumblr media
September 26, 2022
The media have been all over Donald Trump's legal woes lately. Like his frivolous "special master" request concerning the classified documents he stole that got slapped down last week on appeal. And the announcement of the New York attorney general's $250 million civil lawsuit against Trump and his three grifter kids. But while Trump's ongoing crime spree and his endangerment of US national security are important stories, there are other, less publicized court cases brewing in MAGAland that also deserve our attention.
One such is the trial of billionaire Tom Barrack (pictured above denying that he's a Batman villain) on charges of acting as an unregistered foreign agent. Barrack is accused of exploiting his longtime friendship with Trump (Barrack raised money for him during the 2016 presidential campaign and chaired the 2017 inaugural committee) to secretly advance the interests of the United Arab Emirates. He was also charged with obstruction of justice and making multiple false statements to federal agents.
Though Barrack was intimately involved with Trump's shady Middle East dealings (and energy policy), he was not officially a part of the administration. So he could be one incriminating witness against Trump who couldn't argue executive privilege. And friend or not, Barrack doesn't appear to be the kind of guy who'd go to prison for the likes of Donald Trump.
Next, we have the continuing saga of MyPillow peddler Mike Lindell. Lindell is currently the target of separate lawsuits by two voting machine companies, Dominion and Smartmatic, for defaming those firms through his false claims of a stolen 2020 election. Dominion's suit, alleging the CEO “sells the lie” about the company’s voting machines “because the lie sells pillows,” was allowed to go forward a year ago.
And just last week, A Minnesota District Court judge denied Lindell's motion to dismiss the suit by Smartmatic. In his ruling, the judge noted that Lindell acted with “actual malice.” And by the way, Dominion and Smartmatic suits against right-wing outlets OANN and Newsmax are also moving forward, with the courts denying defense motions to dismiss.
Finally, don't forget the defamation lawsuit writer E. Jean Carroll filed against Trump when he denied raping her in a Manhattan department store dressing room in the 1990s and called her a liar. A judge recently ordered that trial to begin February 6 in New York.
Some complain that, when it comes to holding Trump and his gang of crooks accountable, the wheels of justice grind much too slowly. Perhaps. But even if we can't always see them, they're still grinding.

I'll accept not having him testify if it means he's out from cable news. Still a good thing.
