I went on a crazy little tangent with penny whistles about half way through so ignore those if you don't like them lol. These are a mix of my favourite reading and studying songs, songs that I find cozy, things I play when I people-watch in the cafe on campus, and books that made me think of Legends and Lattes (an amazingly fluffy and cozy novel about a dungeons and dragons-esque cafe run by an orc)

Hi! Thanks for the ask! Ok so,

my first time seriously drawing was in 2020; I was doing online classes and it was around 9: 30. It was a drawing of a realistic eye and it took me forty five minutes. my drawing has gotten better(and worse) in many ways since then, but it's still one of my favorite things I've ever drawn. mostly because 2020 was a shitty year and discovering drawing as an outlet was almost magical.

y'all remember harrypotterfanfiction? ok so when i was 12 I wrote the cringiest ff on there about this spy oc named cassandra who- you guessed it- was a teacher at hogwarts, had a mYsTeRiOuS pAsT and was besties with the malfoys and had weird tension shit going on with snape. I got as far as the scene where snape died, dramatically in casssandra's arms(he was supposed to come back to life two chapters later) but then I decided it was too boring and never came back to it. took it down because sanity returned to me.

i was born under the pleiades star. its called krithika nakshatram in tamil, and I'm tamil. idk why this was so important to 10 year old me, but I wrote it down in all of those bio things that came with notebooks/agendas/calendars. so i think it's worth mentioning.

So... yeah. I think you can't get more random than that, and though I think these are more anecdotes than everything, eh. Tagging the 7 blogs because leaving an ask is still very confusing.

1. Are you named after anyone?

No. My first name was originally going to be my middle name but then my mother heard a nickname for it in the grocery store and hated it so thought of my first name instead. Which is great because I hate my middle name. Also both of my brothers have family names and I'm just like.... picked out of thin air.

2. When was the last time you cried?

My boyfriend makes me cry a lot by being the sweetest and I am not a crier.

3. Do you have kids?

No; the baby factory is closed.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not as much as I used to. I try to be as genuine as possible nowadays.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

I love looking at people's hair! Colors, textures, styles... I just find them all beautiful and interesting.

6. What’s your eye color?

I have a yellow ring around my pupil, a blue ring around the outside, and they mix together in the middle to make green.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Scary movies. Sometime happy endings make me mad if they're not earned.

8. Any special talents?

I'm a decent viola player, even though I am years out of practice. My super power is being able to learn new things quickly if I can watch someone else do it first.

9. What are your hobbies?

Writing, reading, learning languages, playing video games, baking, knitting, coloring, gardening, home improvement, swimming, buying clothes online.

10. Where were you born?

Minnesota!

11. Have any pets?

I have two beautiful black cats who are twins (littermates). Their birthday is almost here and they will be 7 years old. They are the best boys and the best brothers.

12. What sports do you play/have you played?

My older brother and father have always been really into sports and I wanted to be like them, so growing up I tried softball, tennis, and golf. I both sucked at and hated all of them. I feel like there were others as well that I can't think of. I did take swimming lessons as a kid, but once it got to learning actually strokes I peaced out, but now swimming is the only "sport" I actually enjoy.

I also took martial arts lessons for about ten years as an adult. It taught me a lot even outside of the physical skills.

13. How tall are you?

5'9"

14. Favorite subject in school?

I always loved English/Language Arts classes. As I got older, arts courses. My senior year of high school I took classes at the college for free and came back to my high school just for Orchestra and Theatre and it was the best.

15. Dream job?

Being retired. Seriously. I just want to not have to work and be able to travel and give time to my hobbies and interests and also do volunteer work.

Bestie @oonajaeadira didn't tag me in this but I'm gonna do it anyway just to spite her.

1. are you named after anyone?

No and I'm a bit salty about that. I have two brothers and they both have family names. My name was picked at random and my middle name was originally going to be my first name until my mother heard a terrible nickname for it at the grocery store. I am so thankful for that because I HATE my middle name and don't use it unless legally required.

2. when was the last time you cried?

Last night! It was just a few tears, but I just started watching Euphoria and have been cruising through it and watched Season 2 episode 5, "Stand Still Like the Hummingbird," which was gut-wrenching and also one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen.

3. do you have kids?

Nope and that's not going to happen. For the longest time I didn't want kids and then I went through a few years where I did, and now I'm just happy being the weird aunt to kids who aren't even related to me.

4. do you use sarcasm a lot?

I try not to. The majority of the time it comes off as cruel to me.

5. what’s the first thing you notice about people?

Weirdly, their hair. It's weird because I know nothing about hair or hairstyles but maybe my eyes just start with the top of the head when I meet someone. But I find myself thinking a lot, "wow, they have cool hair!"

6. what’s your eye colour?

Yellow ring around the pupil, blue ring around the outside, green in the middle. I do love them even though an optometrist once asked me what I say my eye color is and I said, "hazel?" uncertainly and they replied, completely deadpan, "That's a made-up color." So I just say "green."

Also fun fact: my dad and I have the exact same weird eye color AND are the only two in my immediate family who are near sighted.

7. scary movies or happy endings?

scary! sometimes I need a good happy ending, but a lot of the time I get mad when I feel like it's not earned.

8. any special talents?

I'm a really fast learner of anything I'm interested in. Also very good at teaching myself new skills.

9. where were you born?

a stupid town in Minnesota. but now I live in an awesome city in Minnesota and never go back there.

10: what are your hobbies?

Reading, writing, video games, puzzles, knitting, gardening, house projects, and hiking. I just want to be an old timey spinster.

11. have you any pets?

I have the best pets! My two black cats who are twin boys (from the same litter). They're sweet and snuggly and sometimes are assholes and are very entertaining. They totally make my life better and the three of us are super bonded.

12: what sports do you play/have you played?

Growing up my dad and older brother were really into sports and I tried to follow suit but was terrible at everything I tried. I did softball, basketball, tennis, and golf. My other problem was I just didn't care about winning or not and everyone else did, which I thought was dumb. I just wanted to have fun.

Thankfully I also did music and theatre and thrived in those. When I was older I trained in martial arts for ten years, which was the first time I realized all the things my body could do because I wasn't competing, just learning. I also do open water swimming in the summers, just because I really like to swim.

13: how tall are you?

5′9″

14. favourite subject in school?

"Language Arts" (English) was always my favorite, as well as orchestra, theatre, and art.

15. dream job?

I want to be retired and travel a lot. Seriously. If I had the choice, I would not work. Or maybe run a B&B in Costa Rica.
