Like most post-reboot Shattered World stories, this issue starts out in the middle of an Egg Army ambush with approporiately-themed Badniks. The formula gets a little old but at least we still got Adam Bryce Thomas on pencils. Never has Big lifting a Skorp in the air looked so good!

Also new Freedom Fighters ahoy! The Desert Raiders[ are a bright bunch and I love their designs and how they are a sort of parallel to Sonic, Tails and Knuckles’ dynamic. Trevor Burrow the Mole is also canonically blind character, as well as a pretty cool Gurren Lagann homage!

Sonic Was Shown Wearing A Blindfold, Trying To Hit A Pinata With A Bat.

Tails And Knuckles Are Playing Monopoly.

Ray And Mighty Played

"Pin The Tail On The Donkey"

Meanwhile,

Spike And Trevor Are At The Table,

Drinking Fruit Punch,

Celebrating A Good Cheer.

While Chatting With Trevor,

Spike Looks At Outside Of The Window

He Saw Sonar Sitting On Rock,

Looking At The Ground

Feeling Sad And Miserable.

Spike Turned From Smiling To Little Frown

He Decided To

Go Outside And Sit Next To Sonar

And Tell Her What's Bothering Her.

"Spike! where are you going? Wait up!"

Trevor Said

He Goes Sitting On That Rock,

Closely By Her Side,

Putting His Hand On Her Shoulder.

"hey sonar, what's the matter?"

Spike Said Nervously

"is it something wrong. are you hurt,

did someone hurt you, did you miss something?"

Spike asks Sonar as she never responded, but instead she let out a little sigh.

"nothing" sonar said in a depressing tone

"come on sonar i know there's something,

i want to know what you're really sad about, you need HELP!"

Spike Ask Worriedly

While Shaking Sonar Slowly

"i said NOTHING!" Sonar Asked Back,

Slap Off Spike's Arm Off Her

"i mean *groan* fine. days ago,

something just leave me,

the thing that I will miss it so much,

but i don't want to talk about it"

"I don't know how long will i be like this,

we'll there be anyone that can cheer me up again,

EVER?" Sonar said

"don't be sad sonar,

i will always be there to cheer you up.

maybe your boyfriend could also-"

"i don't HAVE A BOYFRIEND ANYMORE!" Sonar Yelled At Spike With

Anger And Sadness

Spike *Gasp* Cover His Mouth

And Was Shocked At The Moment To Realized,

Sonar No Longer Has A Boyfriend

"you don't HAVE WHAT!" He Replied

"yes. i don't have a boyfriend anymore,

we... broke up" Sonar Replied Back

Sonar's Emotion Went Back

From Anger To Sadly Disappointed.

"wha- how did this happen?!"

Spike Said Nervously

"that's what i was talking about!"

Sonar Replied

"really?"

Spike Confused

"yeah. you see

my boyfriend said, he's going on

an dangerous adventure,

to find something that

was missing for a long time.

i think that kind of an adventure sounds cool,

i wanna follow him on his journey too.

but he never let me,

because it would be painful for him

to see me suffer or I'm in pain,

he decided to break up with me

in case he's not coming back.

that's when he left his one last goodbye,

for me..."

Sonar Then Looked Down Back At

The Ground

Her Tears in Her Eyes Are Flowing Out

She Tried Her Best To Hold Back Her Tears.

Spike Then Looked Down

At The Ground As well,

Then Looked Back At Sonar And Said

"sonar, I'm so sorry that this has happen to you,

i think you deserve more attention

then he does"

Sonar Looked Back At Spike

And Give Him A Nice Warm Smile.

"thanks spike,

you're always be there for me

as a team"

Spike And Sonar Both Then Shared

A Nice Warm Hug,

it Was A Very Calm Feeling

And A Little Relaxing As Well.

"spike, can i ask you something?"

Sonar Asked

"sure, what is it?" Spike Replied

"do you ever have this

some kind of feeling

where you had a crush on someone,

but your crush is already

with another someone.

it makes you feel a little lonely and sad

but you nevermind about it?"

Spike Didn't Know What To Say,

He Was Speechless

(And Blushed A Little)

When Sonar Ask Him

That Question.

"we'll I'd never had it before, so yeah!"

Spike Lied About it

"are you sure?, it sounds like you're

actually lying" Sonar Replied Back

"no-no-no-NO really,

i never had feelings for anyone else at all"

Spike Lied Once Again

The Two Goes Silence

For Six Seconds,

Until Sonar Speak Up.

"you know, spike?

it's been a long time

since we first teaming up,

time sure flies fast don't you think?"

"yeah i know, just think about

all of the memories we did together"

Sonar Started To Blush For A Bit

"together, what do you mean

we have memories about us together?"

"you don't KNOW?" Spike Shouted in Shock

"of course i don't, our memories is all about teamwork, fighting and best of all, succe-"

"NO SONAR, don't you remember

we usually hang out all the time,

like all the things i did for you?"

"you did things for me?"

Sonar Ask in Confusion

"yes i DID,

we're the desert rangers,

I'm the leader.

the good leader will do anything for them

and never leave them behind!"

Spike Started Talking About

All The Things He Did

"i save you, i help you, i always cheers for you,

and i always take you out on any nice places while trevor run his errands!"

After All These Conversations,

Spike's Face Started To Blushed.

"i did all of this, because I LOVE YOU!!!" Without Anyone Noticing,

Spike Yelled it Out Loud

While Closing His Eyes

His Confessions We're Echoed Through

Out The Dessert,

Loud Enough For Everyone To Hear, Especially Trevor And Sonar,

Sonar's Face Fully Blushed

Trevor Didn't.

Spike Slowly Open His Eyes,

He Started To Realized

His Feelings For Her

is Finally Revealed.

"uh oh, m-my feelings.

it's out of my mouth,

Spike Said, Slowly Started Panicking

On The inside

Spike Looking Back At Sonar And Trevor

With A Plain Face

Then He Chuckled Nervously.

Spike Said As He Ended The Chat

By Sprinting Away

Sonar And Trevor Decides To

Chase Spike As He Ran Away.

Spike Runs Back To Their Team's Headquarters

And Then He Goes inside His Room.

a/n: It's officially been one year of Chicken Salad Quinn! To celebrate, I thought I'd write a birthday post. I know Quinn's birthday isn't until October, but oh well :3 think of this as a flashback to his last birthday!

Quinn woke up on his birthday with a heavy heart. It seemed like any other day; the sun rose in the sky, the birds chirped outside his window, but something was missing. As he scrolled through his phone, he couldn't help but notice that no one had mentioned his birthday. Not even mommy or his girlfriend, Y/N.

Feeling a pang of sadness, Quinn tried to shake off the feeling as he got ready for the day. Maybe they were just waiting to surprise him later, he thought optimistically.

But as the day wore on, Quinn's hope began to fade. Mommy didn't wish him a happy birthday when he saw her for breakfast, and Y/N hadn't mentioned anything either. It seemed like everyone had forgotten.

By the time evening rolled around, Quinn couldn't ignore the sinking feeling in his chest any longer. He decided to go for a walk to clear his head, trying to convince himself that it didn't matter.

As he wandered through the streets, lost in thought, Quinn was startled by a familiar voice calling out his name. It was his brother, Jack, waving frantically from across the street.

"Quinn! Over here!" Jack shouted, beckoning him to come closer.

Confused but intrigued, Quinn crossed the street to where Jack stood, a mischievous grin on his face.

"Hey, Jack, what's going on?" Quinn asked, trying to mask the disappointment in his voice.

Jack chuckled. "Come on, follow me. Luke's waiting for us."

Quinn followed Jack to a nearby park where Luke was waiting, a large grin plastered on his face.

"Happy birthday, Quinn!" Luke exclaimed, pulling Quinn into a tight hug.

Quinn's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, you guys remembered?"

"Of course, we did!" Jack said, clapping Quinn on the back. "And we've got a surprise for you."

Together, the three brothers walked to Quinn's house, where they found the door adorned with balloons and streamers. As they stepped inside, Quinn was greeted by the sight of his mom, Y/N, and a group of friends all gathered in the living room, shouting, "Surprise!"

Tears welled up in Quinn's eyes as he took in the scene before him. Mommy rushed forward to give him a hug, followed by Y/N, who held out a small gift wrapped in colorful paper.

"Happy birthday, Quinn," Y/N said, smiling warmly.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Quinn hugged Y/N tightly, feeling grateful for her and everyone else who had taken the time to make his birthday special.

But the surprises didn't end there. As everyone gathered around the table for cake, Mommy presented him with a homemade birthday cake unlike any he had ever seen. It was made entirely of chicken salad, his favorite dish.

Quinn couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the unconventional cake, feeling incredibly loved and appreciated in that moment. As he blew out the candles, surrounded by his family and friends, Quinn knew that even though the day had started off on a sour note, it had turned into one of the best birthdays he had ever had.
