How I feel about this character: She’s a lot deeper than FNDM gives her credit for, but she’s the kind of character to put on a brave/happy face and bury her problems so she doesn’t bother others. I can relate.

My unpopular opinion about this character: She’s got Depression

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: More screentime with Blake. I’d say making it more obvious she’s repressing things but it was pretty obvious it’s just that FNDM is dumb

Me thinking abt an AU w the Young Justice animated show where Cir el takes Conner’s place bc 1.) I just think it would work better & 2.) bc i want Kon to actually been close in age to Cassie, Bart, & Tim but also by doing so thinking up a way where I could effectively have this work in my favor by creating a scenario where it makes sense for Kon and Clark to both be trans bc it is implied by her existence

More NPU Things #3:

I redid Jackson after reading more about him. I'm making him and Kaldur half-brothers through Black Manta. Kaldur finds out he's Black Manta's son, finds out about Jackson, and then we get to bring Jackson and Lucia to Shayeris where they can be protected by Kaldur's family and bond. Because Lucia seems like a nice lady and I want her to be able to go back to the water and not be afraid anymore.

Mari/Vixen is an out and proud transgender model. She is absolutely going to have "social justice storylines" in that way comic fans say it. Because that's her life. She loves who she is and she's happy. Also she's getting her Truth and Justice costume. Because it's gorgeous.

I forgot about Harper Row! She's coming back in. I don't know precisely how she's going to fit in, but she'll be a Batfam member for at least a bit. I love her storyline and how much of a hard worker she is and how much she loves her brother and how smart she is.

Cir-El is back! Her human alias is Mia Kent-Wayne and there's no weird personality/sharing a body thing. Cir-El and Mia are the same person. She's a trans girl who is younger than Conner and is technically a human modified with Conner's DNA (a pseudo clone). He considers her a little sister. She's going to fill his role in the Bart-Tim-Cassie team, because Conner is on the OG sidekick team with Dick and Wally, in this verse, like in the YJ show.

I think Emiko is going to be a teenager when she's introduced, but I need to do some more reading before I make a decision.

There are four Green Lanterns on Earth. In the end, there is one. None of them die. None of them stop being superheroes. They get other rings.

M'gann is a trans woman with really complicated feelings about her gender due to her shapeshifting ability. Part of her storyline, alongside her Green-White thing, is her becoming more comfortable with her transness and shifting from her default human form being a cisgender body to being a transgender body (which is HOWEVER SHE DEFINES IT. There's no ONE transgender body).

I'm borrowing some of the Thanagarian storyline from the Justice League show, but I wanna change it so that Shayera is a deserter who went to Earth to warn them about the invasion. Different twist!

I had a Batshit au idea about dc again and I need to be stopped for smashing two characters together into one

CADMUS aims to clone superman. We know that story by now. Except one of the clones, the 13th attempt, is called the "bad luck" attempt and seen as a failure because instead of a superman, the clone is designated female. This clone is rescued and gains a life of their own, being dubbed Cir El by the internal team that studies them. However, that name seems hollow to the youth. Wrong.

Eventually meeting Big Blue himself and slowly building a friendship with him, For so is offered the chance to become super girl but it still leaves a bad taste that the youth can't shake.

"I'm...not a girl..."

"I see... Hmmm. How about Superboy?"

Basically trans Superboy combining Cur El and Kon El.

Not sure how well this idea works after sleeping on it but even my shitty ideas might inspire folks so sharing anyway.

I don't even rest need to use Cir El for this but I just had a brain cart based on their visual similarities so I thought it could be interesting to explore as an au.

Jean Paul Valley?

First impression: In all honesty, I was not a big fan of Jean Paul for the first couple of years I was a DC reader. In a weird set of circumstances the first storyline I read that featured him was Knightfall and, to put things lightly, I really don’t like Knightfall. And it took until I read No Man’s Land in its entirety a while later before I really got to “meet” the real Jean Paul Valley and really love his character.

Impression now: He’s honestly such a sweetheart! I love him so much and I love his friendship with Cass SO dang much and really wish it had been something the new Rebirth universe had picked up on because they really did give each other so much depth and beauty in those early issues.

Favorite moment: When, in his hospital bed, Jean Paul made sure to give Cassandra her first (or second really) Christmas present and I just. I get so emotional about it every time.

Idea for a story: I won’t go too much into it but involves a lovely date with Luke : ) 

Unpopular opinion: Honestly the death of Jean Paul Valley is probably one of the least well handled fallouts in the pre-2005 DCU and that.... that’s saying something holy shit.

Favorite relationship: I will always love his friendship with Cass, but honestly Jean Paul’s relationship with Leslie deserves to be legendary.

Favorite headcanon: Jean Paul is infamous around the East End clinic for taking in stray animals and caring for them.
