The spam musubi and topoki was really one of the best meals we did make together. We ate good as hell that day.

Remember holding each other close and whispering such lovely words of affirmations to each other? You made me feel so loved. I hope I did the same for you.

I remember whenever we hugged for the first moment we saw each other I'd pick you up and spin you around. How I wish I could do that one more time.

Dengan santai makan cemilan kesukaan yaitu renginang, jawab saya sembari melanjutkann makan. Lho ko kamu aneh sih, anak milenial jaman sekarang mbok yha makan tuh sushi, ramen makanan kekinian dong saut rekan sejawat saya.

Dengan cerita sebelumnya, tapi nih ya bu, saya suka ko makanan kekinian seperti pasta, topoki atau apalah ituu, tapii saya lebih mencintai makanan lokal bu hihi. Tak lama kami berdua terdiam dengan seksama, tanpa satu kata terucap kembali.

Konon rengginang tercipta dari sebuah ketidaksengajaan masyarakat sunda. Dulu ada orang yang sedang membuat tape ketan yg dimana makanan tersebut membutuhkan ragi untuk fermentasi. Namun, bahan ragi yg dibutuhkan untuk pembuatan tape tersebut tersebut itu hilang dan tidak ditemukan. Sehingga ketan yg sudah dikukus itu dibentuk bulat bulat pipih.

Sejak kesulitan mencari ragi tertanya si pembuat tersebut mengucapkan perkataan dalam bahasa sunda "nyiar ragi teu meunang meunang" atau "mencari ragi tidak dapat dapat"

Sejak itulah cemilan tradisional tersebut menjadi sebuah akronim yakni rangginang. Namun agar lebih dapat mempermudah pengucapan perlahan menjadi rengginang.
